Crystal Palace Bowl - Review - London - The Infatuation

"Now that it’s not biblical and you’re (hopefully) double jabbed, you might want to stand in a crowd and move your body jauntily. Good news: South Facing Festival is a month-long outdoor series in Crystal Palace combining free events and big, all-inclusive headliners like The Streets or the English National Opera. This Saturday they’ve E3’s Dizzee Rascal playing with a wild sounding 20-piece orchestra. If you’re not local, or coming from north, then it’s a half hour bus journey from Brixton. We’d recommend getting a bowl of noodles from Okan before heading off to a different bowl. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Great venue! 10 mins walk from Crystal Palace Station. Well maintained venue. Good sound acrostics. Went to the South Facing Music Festival and had a great time. Good range of food stalls. Love jerk chicken. Food Not too pricey unlike other music venues.

Historical open air venue. Plenty of food and bar space encircle the Bowl. Viewing is pretty straightforward. Some sound issues when we were there, but fortunately for the organisers, the professional attitude of the performers kept on even when sound dropped out. Toilet area is efficient but not large enough for packed Bowl.

Great venue for a gig. Saw DJ Shadow and Unkle there on a Thursday night in August 2025. Morcheeba were playing too, ad the headline, which is great, but energetically a strange hierarchy of performers. But anyway, the venue was great. The food was pricey, especially for a kebab (don’t do it) but when I found the store selling Philly Steak dirty fries, my night was made. Love it! Plenty of options for travel too with Crystal Palace Station going onwards and out. Do it!

What a fabulous live music venue; fantastic sound system, fabulous visuals, 4K screens, and a great vibe. I have been to several concerts at this venue, and I must say that there is always a great atmosphere; everyone that I spoke to, other than my friends were very friendly. The last 2 concerts I saw were; Chic and Basement Jaxx; both were absolutely fabulous.

Glorious area by the pond, the concert cafe serves up everything from smoothies to Pizza, there are even conveniences in the laptop.. Great place to spend an hour or the day in the sun..

What a fantastic venue. Its natural bowl shape mean viewing is possible anywhere in the bowl. Great sound at the south facing festival. Closer to the stage stops the wind taking the sound.

Saw Mogwai, Lankum, The Twilight Sad et al. as part of "South Facing" festival. What a venue. The sound was brilliant and the organisation of the venue was brilliant. General staff and vendors were very helpful and friendly.

Went to a music festival. Great location, short walk from the train station.
