The food is way too expensive compared to the costco, walmart, and hyvee nearby. Their produce is too ripe and not maintained, their bakery is also way cheaper and blander compared to others. They also did not have simple items of produce in their system so you or the staff will have to run back for looking up prices. I didn't expect much from a store, but it's not a good competitor for what it's offering.

Cub Foods isn’t perfect but they deserve 5 stars for being open 24hrs a day. I use self checkout 90% of the time. The customer service could be better. The older woman night cashier is super friendly and makes up for the rest. Convenient location for me. Nice they have pharmacy services as well. Not the best prices and quality in town but also not the worst.

I’ve been shopping at cub for years because it’s the closest grocery store to my house. During the pandemic I’ve been using their grocery pick up service which they used to be on top of, but lately it’s been more of a headache. The last few times I’ve used the pickup I’ll text the number and let them know my space and name but nobody comes out. This time I called the store twice and after about 30 minutes I had to unbuckle my toddler and go into the store to track someone down to get my order. This is the last time I will be shopping here, I’ll drive a little bit farther and to go HyVee up the street instead. Update: I did another pickup order today because Aldi doesn’t have what I wanted, and today was much better than my last experience. They must have fixed the issues because I was able to pick up my order with ease today. I’m glad to see it going back to what it used to be. Online pickup orders are so much easier when you have a toddler in tow. Thank you Cub!

Nice inside but very overpiced!!!! They're prices are just as high as Publix if not more! Better off going to Walmart and that's saying something Avoid!

I love this store. I ran out of baby formula the other night and couldn't find any other stores open. I'm very happy that we have this store open 24/7.

Yelp
What do you mean you don't immediately check out grocery stores if you're in a new town? Is that even possible that it's just me? Nay, I say...*ahem* Anyway, this is evidently in the "ghetto" part of town...or so I was told after the fact. I didn't see any criming going down, just a whole lot of orange traffic barriers. Yay. This store had a surprisingly decent selection of stuff. I wandered through for a few and checked out the offerings (I don't know why I do this shit every time I go to a new city, either) for a bit, grabbed a few unexpected goodies and kept mobbin'. Overall, pleasantly impressed.

Yelp
First time in this cub store! Very nice store! Excellent customer service! Lots of food! Love the ambiance! Great fried chicken in the deli!

Yelp
Stopped in when in the area to pick up a few things. Prices were different in store than on the app. Had to argue with employee about the price. They gave me the advertised price reluctantly. Items not on sale were very expensive. Won't go back. This store just feels dirty, old and drab.

Yelp
Favorite place to shop for groceries. Lots of bargains each week. The IOS app is helpful, and if you sign up for rewards card, all the week's coupons are automatically loaded onto your card and phone. Minus half a star for cleanliness and another half because items sometimes ring up at full price instead of sale price. Staff at the front desk are happy to fix this, though - if you are polite!

Yelp
Very disappointing! Very dirty disorganized place. Also the deli had a terrible selection of salads and meats. One cashier working a regular checkout line at 4:30 in the afternoon. I only gave it two stars because I did find a few deals. Won't be going back unless they have better selection and cleanliness in the store.

Yelp
About a week ago I went into this cub after work and bought meat from the delli. The lady at the counter told me they could sell meat till 9pm but couldn't cut anymore because they were cleaning up. Today I went in around 7pm, back to the delli and before I could even get word out the nastiest employee said they were closed. It wouldn't have bothered me as much but there were three employees behind the delli counter doing absolutely nothing. I'm not sure if they can or can not sell meat after a certain time and I don't really care but it's safe to say I'm not coming back.

Yelp
If there's one thing I miss as a Chicago ex-pat it's the bread -- Gonnella Italian bread, S.Rosen's Poppy Seed buns, Dominick's rolls, decent caraway rye. Nothing in Rochester comes close to what I grew-up noshing on but Cub Food's bakery comes pretty close. Their rye (unfortunately, though, rarely with caraway) is top-notch and easier than a ride to Kramarczuk's and their hoagie rolls (bolillo) are fresh and crispy.

Yelp
Will never shop here again! Extremely disappointed in y'all. I just had an associate tell me my Texas license is not a valid form of ID for the State of MN to buy alcohol. Excuse me, but y'all had better get your staff some education if you expect to run a successful operation in a city that has a constant influx of travelers from out of state (and yes, I do have a valid license and I am of age to buy alcohol).

Yelp
I was not impressed. From out of town and thought prices were high and selection was limited. The one plus was the person at the checkout was very friendly and helpful.

Shereen P.

Yelp
Will never shop at Cub again. They are very overpriced and the produce is not very fresh at all. I was still shopping at Cub for non-food items, but will do so no more. In one week, the price of a 32 can box of cat food went from $14.79 to $22.89. Absolutely insane, and other stores in town, including Wal-Mart and Target, still carry the exact same product for less than $15. I can even get it at Pet Smart for less than at Cub now. Can you say price gouging?

Robb R.

Yelp
I can't stand going to Walmart, so I started going to Cub for my groceries recently. While obviously not as large as Wally World, they have a great selection of items and excellent prices. Also, the employees and cashiers I've dealt with have all been knowledgable and helpful. If you live on the SE side of Rochester, Cub is the best place to shop.
