I recently dined at Ciba Libre for a company dinner, and regrettably, my experience fell far short of expectations.
Firstly, the drinks were a major letdown. I ordered both a plum caipirinha and a margarita, only to find that they were not filled to the top and tasted subpar. The plum caipirinha lacked any discernible flavor, while the margarita was equally disappointing. It's disheartening to pay for drinks that not only fall short in quantity but also lack quality in taste.
Moving on to the food, the disappointment continued. We ordered the guacamole, which boasted crab but failed to deliver on flavor. It was bland and lacked any semblance of the promised crab. Additionally, the Cuban sandwich I ordered arrived burnt, further adding to the dismay of the meal.
Despite the hefty price tag of $100 for food and drinks, the lack of taste in both aspects made it feel like a complete waste. While the decor and ambiance of Ciba Libre are indeed pleasant, it's disheartening when the integrity of the food fails to match up.
Moreover, the service left much to be desired. I found myself having to repeatedly ask for basic necessities like salt, plates, and cutlery, which only added to the frustration of the overall experience.
In conclusion, my visit to Ciba Libre left me deeply disappointed, and I cannot in good conscience recommend it to others. With poorly made drinks, tasteless food, and mediocre service, it's safe to say that I won't be returning anytime soon.
