Cuban Coffee Queen is a vibrant coffee stand serving up bold Cuban brews and mouthwatering sandwiches, perfect for a quick bite in sunny Key West.
"Several outlets throughout town make it easy to get a regular caffeine fix, breakfast sandwiches, and plenty of merch like t-shirts with cheeky messages like “Drink More Cuban Coffee and Do Stupid Things Faster.” Coffee is available by the pound, meaning the caffeine party can continue at home." - Alona Martinez
"Cuban Coffee Queen is a lively counter-service joint with three locations (all within one square mile of each other in the heart of town), any one of which makes an ideal spot for enjoying a bit of sunshine with your morning coffee. But don’t let the name fool you: Sure, they serve one of the best cups of joe in town—break away from your same-old caffeine fix and opt for one of their classic Cuban specialties, like a café con leche—but they serve up a whole lot more. Give the pressed Cuban bread with guava and cream cheese or one of their homemade sammies a try." - Jennifer M. Wood

"Miami may be known as South Florida’s go-to spot for authentic Cuban cuisine, but Key West is giving the Magic City a run for its money with its pair of Cuban Coffee Queen shops: one downtown (5 Key Lime Square) and the original storefront on the waterfront (284 Margaret Street). Though the downtown location has a smattering of tables outside to enjoy your goods, this is not a sit-down-and-be-served eatery. It’s a coffee and takeout food only type of place, but that doesn’t mean the dishes are simple—quite the opposite. The breakfast menu includes more than 20 types of sandwiches, burgers, and other easy-to-eat-with-your-hand delicacies. The Cuban Mix includes fresh roasted Mojo pork, ham, Swiss cheese, and sliced pickles with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes and onions on pressed Cuban bread, while The Shipwreck Sandwich is stuffed with chorizo, roasted green peppers and onions, pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, cilantro chimichurri sauce, lettuce, and tomato, also on pressed Cuban bread. Of course, for many patrons, it’s all about the coffee—and understandably so (the word is in the name after all). The café includes all of the Cuban specialties you’ve heard about—a coffee con leche (Cuban coffee with steamed milk), double Cuban espresso (an even stronger version of the coffee con leche, with cane sugar and topped with steamed milk), and a colada (four shots of Cuban espresso served in a large cup along with small shot glasses, which is meant to be shared) are all on the menu. The perfect morning pick-me-up." - Jennifer M. Wood
