Cubanidad 1885 to Bring Its Latin Comfort Food to Henderson | Eater Vegas

"Started in Spring Valley in 2019 as a Latin comfort-food spot with plans to expand to four local locations, this restaurant is opening a second, much larger Henderson outpost in the Eastern Commons retail center. The new 2,940-square-foot corner space at Eastern Avenue and Horizon Ridge Parkway (formerly occupied by a Pei Wei) is triple the size of the original Fort Apache Road location and sits near Crumbl Cookies and Bad Owl Coffee. Cuban-born chef Dennis Martinez Miranda leads a casual, Cuban-inspired menu featuring a Florida spin on Cuban sandwiches and staples such as fried plantains, croquettes, empanadas, pork lechón, shredded beef ropa vieja, and house-made flan for dessert. An estimated opening date and future hours have not yet been announced." - Bradley Martin

Spinach & cheese Empanada was very tasty. I think it’s baked because it was so soft and warm. Ybor Original Sandwich/cuban was very good! Loved every part of it! I’d come here again!

message: Wow, this was my first time at this place, and everything my friend helped me order was amazing I loved it all! I’ll definitely be coming back for more, haha. The worker behind the counter was so friendly and awesome. Amazing Cuban food!

The Cuban sandwiches were absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. The mamey milkshake was also amazing, rich and refreshing. Everything tasted authentic and fresh. Highly recommend Cubanidad!

Google
Tried this place for the first time recently and really enjoyed my chicken sandwich. The fries tasted nice and fresh and the chicken was a breast. The breast was pretty thin, but worked well on the good Cuban bread. Prices were ok, and service was good. Parking easy. Would return!

Decided to try this Cuban restaurants since I had good reviews. Had the chicken breast with fried rice. My wife had the chicken breast with Cuban rice and beans. It was pretty good. It was made very well but no extra condiments unless you pay for it sauces and what have you. They have Tabasco sauce , but what is this at breakfast place. Who buys the most cheapest hot sauce that's watered down?! When we ask for iced tea the person at the counter said, yes we have iced tea. After we got our cups we walked all the way over to the drink station, to find out the iced tea was green tea. With most people they know when you ask for iced tea it's not green tea. There are different teas, I mean come on if that's all you have you can easily say we only have green tea.. but we still tried it and it was disgusting it tasted old. So we asked for our money back for the tea.. but that didn't mean the food didn't taste well. I took 2 stars away, because they did make it sound like it was our fault that we should have known that it's green tea. Yeah if I go anywhere else, I won't have to ask to make sure that it's regular dark tea. But because I don't live in the area most likely I won't be back, it's worth a try but, my wife didn't like it overall as well. 🫤

Google
First time eater of Cuban food, minus Porto’s. Really good and would come again. Great service and quality, fresh off the grill. Love the rice in particular and the chicken was flavorful. The pork also not dry and confirmed to be moist.

Brings me back to my Miami days! The churrasco with spicy chimichurri sauce is really really good. Had sweet plantain on the side and of course 2 orders of dessert. You always order a flan & tres leches to do it right!!

Google
The food was decent, but there was too much vinegar on my salad. The young lady at the register was not friendly at all. At one point, I caught her staring at me while I was eating. When I entered, I asked about the gift for the business card box, and she said she didn’t know but would ask the manager. When I was leaving and started to place my card in the box, she informed me that she had spoken to the manager, who said it's an old promotion they no longer participate in. I noticed there were still a few cards in the box.

Yelp
As a Tampa transplant in Vegas I almost cried when I tasted The Ybor Original sandwich. It tastes like home! This place is amazing and I can't wait to come back and try more!

Yelp
Friendly staff. Clean restaurant with nice decor and Cuban music playing. I ordered the Medianoche Cuban Sandwich with the sweet egg bread and two beef and olive empanadas with ChimiChuri sauce made in house. The sandwich was hot, fresh, substantive, and delicious with melty Swiss cheese, roasted pork, ham, pickles, and a Mayo-Mustard sauce. 10/10. The empanadas were filled with meat and olives - the chimi churi sauce added and herb, red pepper, oily, and spicy touch. 10/10 This place was an A+ and I recommend it if you're in the Henderson area looking for great Cuban food, friendly staff, and a clean place to sit down and eat.

Yelp
I love Cubanidad 1885 more than any other restaurant. Their food is exceptional but this time I would like to talk about the service, I have been a customer since they opened their first location in Fort Apache and I must say that my husband and I really enjoyed going to Henderson the beautiful and sweet Ana always receives everyone with a smile, always attentive, she knows what each customer wants, it is wonderful how she remembers every detail and I am always attentive and it is like that with every customer, it is incredible how she manages to do so many things at the same time even being alone in the salon, maintaining the best customer service That we have had anywhere in the city. Even with her co-workers always supporting so that everything goes well. For my family and I she is the true heart of Cubanidad 1885 Henderson together with the wonderful Chef and I repeat we are customers from the beginning. She is that familiar face that you are always happy to see, and that you want to give a big hug because you feel part of the family. She is always giving us a pleasant conversation (obviously when she have time) Thank you Ana for making Cubanidad feel like home and not just for the delicious food. And thank you to all the team here.

Yelp
Went there for Sunday lunch and thought it would be a good spot for empanadas. Boy, I was wrong. The young lady with glasses at the helm of the restaurant as she stood near the register, did not say hello or any welcome in to their restaurant. When I walked in at about noon, there was nobody there. The whole place was empty, should've took that as a hint. So I said hello to the young lady as to my wife and she did not respond, just stared at us and we were like I guess we can order? Still no response. Either way we broke ground and ask a few questions with nothing more the add or to elaborate on their menu and items as in the empanadas. Once we received the empanadas, the ham and cheese didn't taste good as the ham was not cooked inside, the beef and olive was decent but had no olives, the only one worth anything was the guava and cheese because it was the largest of them and taste was good. But, sitting there listening to their Spanish music station which was ok until the kristy nobody nome (misspelled purposely) immigration commercial came on and it played some horrible horrific lies about Latinos as we sit in this Cuban Restaurant!! It played again within a few minutes and I was asking the young lady with glasses to turn this garbage off and she acted as if she didn't know what I was saying. I repeated it in English and Spanish multiple times and she was not even moved. So, we walked out and definitely not going back as it's over priced, no taste and under cooked food items. Their other Latino restaurants way better than this literally hole in the wall that should be shuttered. Why are they even open? Nobody was there the whole hour and a half we were there. Has a dead ambiance and lack of customer/communication services. It's a waste of time & money. Eat a Gross McDonalds better. SMH.

Yelp
I was excited to visit this restaurant - and left disappointed! Came for dinner and ordered their flagship sandwich 305 with plantains, ham and cheese croquettes and plantains as a side. Mango juice instead of soda! Croquettes were great, but they were so small - about the size of a pinky finger. Mango juice was also good and this is the reason - for more than one star. 305 sandwich was not good - it was in fact a total disappointment. Instead tasting pork ham and cheese, it was soaked in yellow mustard and cucumber. No other flavor came through...not even a cheese. Might as well call this yellow onion sandwich. Service was good and it is a nice clean place with Cuban decor. Sadly - I will never come again!

Yelp
My first time was on a Monday evening and it was pretty quiet at first, I was with a large group of friends and we all were able to order our meals and pay at the front, grab our fountain drinks or aguas frescas and choose our seating. The server was kind enough to help us put tables together. I enjoyed the rice and black beans and the croquetas de jamón. We had ropa vieja and a variety of other dishes so we could try a few things. As we were leaving around 8pm the place was filling up and I could see why, the food is very good and I look forward to going back either to dine in or carry out.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised to see a cuban restaurant open in the shopping center on eastern and Horizon Ridge. The place was spotlessly clean with several tables for dining. A bright display exhibits a variety of menu choices. I opted for a cuban sandwich and a spinach empanada. The area where you order had a loud fan blowing, making it difficult to hear the cashier, but I managed to get her recommendation. The is sandwich was made in front of me, the empanada was premade and needed to be just reheated. The empanada was mostly cold by the time I got to my car. The crust was light and flaky and the filling reminded me of a spinach dip appetizer. I wish it had been heated a bit more before serving. The cuban sandwich was the star of the show. I was glad I didn't get the fries and drink combo as the sandwich filled me up. The portion was large and the meet and veggies were fresh and well seasoned. I look forward to trying other items when I return. Service was good, though I did not receive any napkins. All in all a welcome addition to Henderson.

Yelp
Once again another bucket list restaurant has been checked off the list and I can't tell you how long I've wanted to come and try Cubanidad. You walk to a very nice and clean place with a very cool interior vibe. This is one of those wait in line to order your food and they come bring it to you. If you never had Cuban food you are gonna love it. We started off with three different empanadas to share and all three were spectacular. The girl who took our order brought over our mains and what a beautiful site. Roast pork with a side of Cuban style black beans and rice and some fries. Everything tasted phenomenal from start to finish. They have some beers and canned drinks at the counter or fresh drinks and one of those cool soda machines with a bunch of flavors to choose from in the back. This restaurant is by no means massive in size but what you get is massive in taste. If you were like me putting it off well don't any longer. They are literally on the corner of horizon ridge and eastern. We found plenty of parking out front also. I will be back sooner than later.

Yelp

Yelp
I've loved this place since it opened. Their ropa vieja and Cuban sandwich with home fries has been my go to. I went today to discover that they have changed the fries. Sad, those fries completed that sandwich. Also, place smelled like sewage.

Yelp
Really enjoyed it. Came here for a birthday celebration and it didn't disappoint! I did the fried rice w pork chunk. I asked our cashier which pork and she said the chunk was her favorite. Then the others ordered the medianoche, and I did chicharrones for the table. The space is cute, and I like the drink selections. The frozen slushies are refreshing in the heat. I initially said I'd have water but when I saw the offerings I went and bought a cup. Food was out relatively quickly. The rice slaps!!! SUPER flavorful and the meat was super tender and delicious. It's a good sized portion too. Def had leftovers. Tho they didn't last long. I tried a bite of the sando, it was cool but had nothing on the rice. I was underwhelmed by the chicharrones. They lacked flavor and the sauce wasn't a great complement. The rice was hands down my favorite. The staff was very kind and helpful. I enjoyed my experience, food and will be going back and trying something different. I also want to do the buffet. You can't beat the price! Don't sleep on this place!

Yelp
Absolutely I would recommend this place, the food, service and atmosphere was outstanding the best we have had in about 30 years. Always looking a place that has good food well this is it .

Yelp
After our failed attempt to make empanadas at home , we decided to go try these Cuban empanadas and since we were there we had to try their Sandwich Cubano. The Sandwich is delicious and in this order we rate their empanadas: 1) Guava with cheese oh heaven 2) Spinach 3) Coconut 4) Ropa vieja with plantain 5) Ham and cheese Curious note: their French fries are amazing Service is sweet and fast Restaurant is cute Thank you !

Yelp
Food was not what I spect but not too bad. The service is absolutely disrespectful and rude, the cashier does not pay much attention to the customer BUT you ordered, and before you pay the requested a TIPS...the machine immediately requested the tip. You are obligated to tip them if not good luck with your food...Disgusting.

Yelp
The vibe is so tropical and chill. I almost expected old men smoking cigars, ceiling fans and women wearing hats full of fruit. OK, those might be stereotypes but the FLAVORS here are totally authentic .We have the Christmas season prix-fixe special which included sangria, soup, salad, entree and dessert and everything was fabulous. Tender meats, savory vegetables and delicately cooked plantains. The staff is so eager to please and make sure everything is being enjoyed. We can't recommend this restaurant enough.

Yelp
Cubanidad: A Seriously Satisfying Surprise I was thrilled to stumble upon Cubanidad--like fate finally handing me a real Cuban sandwich after years of longing. The last one I had was from a casino employee dining room, and it barely qualified: no mustard, no hot press, and pickles that tasted like defeat. This? This was redemption. The sandwich was painfully delicious. Honestly better than I remember from my Florida days. The meat was juicy and tender, the cheese melted perfectly into fresh, toasty hot-pressed bread, and the perfectly balanced mustard had just the right flavor. The pickles looked gourmet and added a crisp, tangy layer that elevated every bite. The restaurant itself was casually inviting, with an open kitchen and a spacious, cozy layout. The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the warm, homey feel. I'm so happy I found this place--and so sad I'm currently on a diet. Highly--enthusiastically--recommended. I'll definitely be back. And next time I'll get a Cuban coffee with my Cuban Sandwich. It's not just a Cuban sandwich--it's the prototype. The sandwich other sandwiches dream of becoming.

Yelp
Wow! It is my first experience with a Cuban dish, and it was both refreshing and delicious! The service was superb, and they were very accommodating, even for vegetarians like me, as they offered vegan options. The atmosphere of the place was comfortable and had a homey vibe. It truly embodies Cubanidad!

Yelp
Food was great.. absolutely amazing... taste just like my grandma's food... the service awesome ... I'll be back for sure

Yelp
The "305" Miami Cuban Sandwich- it was good - kinda of cold in the middle but the taste was amazing! Only had half due the temperature. Fries, a fresh, off the charts!!! Clean spot, cashier, was nice kept cleaning when she wasn't taking orders a nice spot!! I lived in Miami so wanted to compare, just a little too cold for me or could have been fire!!!!

Yelp
A lovely find after stopping in for another location in the plaza! Every item we tried was amazing on the Picadita plate! Staff is so friendly! I would definitely come here again!

Yelp
Smells like a sewer. The sewer gas is totally out of control and overwhelming! My girls were getting totally nauseated. The staff said tough luck.

Yelp
I actually had been planning on coming here for awhile but just never made my way into Cubindad. Upon entering I was greeted by a man (I'm assuming the owner) but could be wrong, he was very friendly and welcoming, asked if I had any questions, but I did not as I already knew what I would be ordering. Cubindad calls it the 305 sandwich (305 is the Miami area-area code) The 305 is basically a Cuban sandwich, which is a Miami CUBAN SANDWICH smoked ham, roasted pork, swiss cheese, pickle, and home-made mustard sauce on cuban bread. The sandwich was everything I had been craving, I made it a combo for an extra $4, the combo gets you a beverage and choice of chips or fries, I went with their fresh cut fries, which were very tasty. The restaurant was spacious and clean and the staff I interacted with were helpful. The only downside was it was a little pricier than I had expected but I still plan on coming back fairly often when I crave a Cuban sandwich and to try other menu items.

Pamela H.

Yelp
Service was not the same. The lady taking the order had a smirk, seemed to be bothered. I ordered the 305 Cuban combo, ask for extra pickled onions on the sandwich and some on the side to which she said that will cost you extra; I replied that's fine. I added two empanadas. I paid via ApplePay and added a 20% tip, which I feel that she doesn't deserve because i remembered during the transaction I wanted mustard. She tells me I can't go back and completes the transaction, then rings me up for 81 cents for mustard. Wait I just ordered a sandwich, paid for extra onions times two and gave you a 20% tip and you want 81 cents for mustard. I feel that's sad, bad for business. I really liked coming here, but may have to rethink it. The food tastes great, we had to ask for the empanadas because she forgot over twenty minutes later. She added a potato ball to make up. The atmosphere was quiet.

Yelp
Tried their weekend lunch buffet today. The buffet included different rice dishes, beef, pork and chicken, but unfortunately, no empanadas! I went there excited for their tamarind drink, but they didn't have that either. When it comes to pricing, lunch buffet was set at $19.95 per person, excluding drinks. The picture of their buffet menu says fountain drink included, but the cashier charged extra for drinks. We asked to confirm and she said drinks are not included. Additionally, parents should be aware that there's an extra half-price charge for children, even as young as two-year-olds!!

Yelp
first time at cubanidad. service was good, food was great. had the guava and cheese pastelito and pan con lechon .

Yelp
This place is great! The vibe is very Cuban/tropical and it feels like a nice place to spend some time. The staff were all very friendly and helpful when we visited. The service is fast casual, you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. This place is perfect for any time of day breakfast lunch and dinner. They have good size menu, ranging from empanadas and other Cuban pasties, sandwiches, and full plate meals which makes it a great option for all levels of appetite. We really enjoyed the medianoche Cuban sandwich and the "ropa vieja" empanada. Pro tip: skip the fries and go with the fried plantain for a side, you will not regret it. I like that they have fresh brewed iced teas on tap, both sweetened and unsweetened. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Yelp
I like the food at Cubanidad, but it's not like my mother's used to make. But I keep going back. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice .

Greta B.

Yelp
The food is delicious!! We had the Cuban pizza and a Cuban (Miami) sandwich, both were so, so good!! We will definitely go back again, so much more to try!! 4 stars instead of 5...the woman taking our orders was borderline disrespectful. As I asked questions her responses and tone were condescending. I tried several times to patiently explain and ask my questions again...she persisted in her condescending tone. Normally I would left the establishment and not bothered to even place an order but my instincts told me the food would be worth it. So happy we stayed, the food was so, so good. But it took all my patience to get past her repetitive, patronizing words and snobbish tone. The restaurant was clean well lit and the fiod was brought out in a timely manner.

Yelp
My husband and I went to this location for lunch. I decided to order the palomilla steak for the first time and it was delicious. The portions were pretty decent. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other food choices.

Yelp
Oh, the humanity! Cubanidad is a local hit that started on the west side and expanded to this more convenient Henderson spot. It's located at the far end of the triangular plaza with such anchors as Trader Joe's and Seafood City; if you see El Pollo Loco, you're almost there. I first experienced and enjoyed Cubanidad at a Yelp Elite Experience. Tonight, I finally showed up to them as a regular customer since they were running a freebie special for a certain sandwich. I also decided to buy various pastries to see what else they had to offer. The specified sandwich was the 305 (normally $12.65), aka Miami Cuban. The bread was panini-pressed to a slight char and held the contents without being too heavy. Plentiful pork came with balanced salty, sweet, and acidic flavors from the Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard. I did like it, but I preferred the Ybor Original, aka Tampa Cuban, from my prior experience. It's basically the 305 plus Genoa salami, which added a flavor punch. The sweet pastries are also satisfying. The Guava & Cheese pastelito ($3.95) had a noticeably flaky crust and was full of plentiful guava paste. The paste seems a little grainy for some reason, but it didn't detract from the mouthfeel. It's definitely a great way to scratch the itch for that flavor. The Cheese Roll ($1.00) was good too, and very affordable to boot. It was airy but had enough fluffy cheese, and the sugar atop the outside of the roll was welcome. However, the savory pastries were disappointing at best. The Beef and Plantain Empanada ($3.95) came with a full chunk of steak but was gray and stringy inside, with not that much flakiness on the outside. I wonder if it might be better in the morning rather than having sat on display all day. I didn't notice much plantain either, which might have helped with the dryness. Meanwhile, the Papa Rellena ($3.95) was pretty fluffy but bland and has approximately the opposite meat-to-potato ratio of the famous SoCal version of this item. To be clear, that means it's starch-heavy and therefore overpriced compared to anything else I've ordered here. The restaurant is counter service, with a pickup area by a side entrance for preorders. Parking is just fine. Although I took my food to-go, I did observe that the dining counter where I loitered while waiting for my food was clean. Cubanidad is a decent spot for certain menu items, but I would avoid the savory pastries in general. Perhaps next time I'll look into the entrees or breakfast menu.

Yelp
It is a neat place that serves some good Cubano style food. We ordered a couple of things to try out. The 305 sandwich was a solid sandwich (smoked ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickle, mustard). The sandwich was well made, and bread had a good texture to it. We also ordered the Picadita 1885 - which was a platter that had pork sausage, fried pork chunks, pork belly, fried yuca, boiled yucca, homemade croquettes, and plantain chips. This was a decent dish that allowed me to try a bit of everything.
google avatar

Rita L.

Yelp
Really liked the medianoche sandwich and the empanadas. I would say this place is almost a hidden gem amongst all the places on Eastern. Service was also really friendly. Looking forward to trying other dishes.
google avatar

Regina L.

Yelp
Superb service! I didn't catch his name, but he maybe the manager or owner. He was the cashier, busser and server! With him doing all of that, he still managed to check in with all the customers and make sure everyone was satisfied. He even apologized for the delay in food time because of the shortage in staffing. I ordered the Quivican Croqueta Hash. The cilantro aioli sauce is pretty darn good. I had to lend it my wife so she could dip her fried plantains in. I was hesitant on the croqueta hash because I can never be sure of its flavors but I did not leave them uneaten! Delicious plate overall! The fries could have been a tad be crispier. My wife order the Pan Con Pollo and said it was good. She did not have enough time to finish it but had no complaints.
google avatar

Kristi S.

Yelp
The medianoche sandwich is so damn good - I was raised in south Florida where Cuban sandwiches were available on every corner, but the medianoche just hits different. I crave one every few days. I wasn't very impressed with the beef olive empanada because it had black olives instead of green. I like black olives but from what I remember, green olives are usually used in Cuban dishes. But seriously, this place is 5 stars just for the medianoche.

Yelp
Yelp Review 2023 #150: I remember sweating profusely trying to find "Cuban sandwich" or "Cubano" when I went to Havana. Access to wifi or any form of internet is incredibly frustrating there so, I figured I'll just try every paladar and cafe to see if they have it. So, yeah, after 1.5 hours of feeling like a melted candle, I figured it's a thing invented in Florida! And I knew this before going to Cuba so I'm not sure what I was thinking - did I think it was supposed to be a challenge? I can't help but chuckle seeing "THE '305' Miami CUBAN SANDWICH" on their menu. But that's not what I got. Mojo Roasted Pork (lechon asado): I love this! Tender and strong flavored slices of pork. Lots of garlic. Yum! Probably my favorite meat from what I've tried so far. 5/5 Skirt Steak (Cuban churrasco): Thin slices of beef. It has a vinegary taste to it. Good flavor. 4/5 Fried Pork Chunk (Masitas de Cerdo): These are huge chunks of fried pork without the skin. I wish it had skin because that would've added extra crunch. There's some crunch there though. Flavorful and juicy even after being fried. 4.5/5 Sweet Plantain (maduros): Brown on the outside, yellow on the inside. Good texture and just the right sweetness. 5/5 Congri: AKA Moros y Cristianos. Cuban version of rice and black beans. Flavorful and good texture on both the rice and the beans. 4/5 Boiled Yuca with Mojo: It also comes fried. This the closest thing to mashed potatoes on their menu. Similar texture. The mojo gives it a garlicky, vinegary flavor. 4/5 Flan: I like almost all types of flan...as long as it's soft and doesn't taste eggy with a nice burnt sugary syrup. And that's the kind of flan they have. 5/5 Food was ordered to-go so I can't really speak much on the ambiance, the mood, and service. So, my experience is solely based on the food. Maybe, I'll try the Cuban sandwich next time.

Yelp
We had a very late lunch so we had the place to ourselves. It was clean and in good shape. It's a fast casual, order at the register type spot. The gal at the register was nice. My advice: keep it simple and stick with the sandwiches. We had two varieties of the Cubano and each was delicious. Everything you want in a Cubano: nice toasty, crusty bread, melted cheese, mustard, pickle, and [insert your pork products]. And, if you're not starving, big enough to share. We'd definitely eat that again and recommend it. But... we made the mistake of ordering the Cubana pizza, thinking, based on the photos, that it was a thin pizza that you'd fold in half. And further thinking it was some sort of Cuban-style pizza. In reality, it seemed like any other run of mill pan pizza, that was so thick and over-cheesed that it was hard to pick up, much less fold. It was OK pizza but it didn't hold a candle to how good the sandwiches were.

Yelp
Really good quality food here! I've never had Cuban food before and thought it would be all pork based but there Is beef and chicken for the proteins! My boyfriend and I both had the pan con pollo sandwiches and tasted super fresh Not to mention the people working are so friendly

Yelp
Food was amazing very savory shrimp, the yuca and mojito was very juicy and soft (very authentic) and their white rice was really good too (not dry at all). The espresso (Cafesito) was really good too! Cafesito was very authentic too! The ambiance is really good in there all chill staff however after being there for a hour with some friends it did start feeling pretty hot but i do recommend! I will be back (: Also they have $1 cheese rolls made off puff pastry reallyyy tasty and good to eat with the cafesito

Yelp
Speedy service, clean and tasty food. I liked my food but my SO did not. ‍ He mentioned it was too greasy...I could agree a bit greasy.

Yelp
The food was great but too expensive. Also why don't they serve tamales or soup.? I would not come back to this place just for the lack of options on their menu.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Cuban food and it did not disappoint! My boyfriend always raves about the Cuban sandwich from Cubanidad and since we didn't get to prepare for dinner last night, I thought it would be the perfect time to finally try them out for myself! I ordered the roasted chicken with brown rice, fried plantains and the Cuban citrus dressing! The chicken was so tender and flavorful. The sauce had a familiar taste to it--it really reminded me of sauces in Filipino stews like Afritada and Calderata except this sauce was lighter and not as heavy. The sweetness and the acidity of the pickled onions created a great contrast to the savory sauce! For my sides I got the brown rice and fried plantains. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the plantains were crisp and warm. The citrus dressing was tangy and was a nice compliment to the main dish! All together this was the perfect comfort meal. I also love how huge the portions are for what you pay for. I ate half a portion and was completely stuffed (my boyfriend ate the other half). My boyfriend of course also ordered the Cuban sandwich but he devoured it before I could take a photo, lol. He did give me a little bite of it and I totally understand why he's obsessed with it! It also tastes great! Overall, I'm so happy I finally got to try Cubanidad! I'll definitely be ordering more from here!

Yelp
The 305 sandwich is f**kin delicious!!! I was craving a sandwich and let me tell you! This definitely hit the spot satisfying all requirements! The meat was soft the cheese was melted everything was just amazing including the fries! I will be coming back here with some friends who always wanted to try this place. It's a must and I 100% recommend giving it a try! I also tried the croquetas. Using the crackers and lime with the dish made it even more delicious. The ham and cheese empanada was amazing and my son loved it. He also loved the sandwich so this place is also kid friendly given your child isn't tooo picky. I'll be ordering this sandwich combo again :)

Yelp
New in town and trying to find the good restaurants. Although I have never been to Cuba, a had a close friend who introduced me to this food. Anna greeted us and, after looking the very full menu, I chose the Cuban Burrito. Chock full of pulled pork, black beans and vegetables, in a pressed tortilla, with fried banana chips, the meal was impressive. I found the food and the service very good. Anna told me they have specials each month to vary the menu. I will certsinly go back!
