First time trying Cubano Bros and won’t be the last. I went for breakfast and got the Cuban sandwich which had ham, pork, cheese, and pickles and a cafe con leche. Both my coffee and my sandwich were delicious! I don’t tend to eat much for breakfast so only ate half my sandwich and all my coffee and wanted more. Highly recommend Cubano bros if you’re in the area and if you’re not, it’s worth the drive. Also had a pastry (half, let my husband have the other half) and wow, flaky but buttery and the cream cheese and guava compliment each other so well.

Our order was ready for pick up at the quoted time. The place was clean and was not busy. They have a decent sized menu with sandwiches, bowls, sides, and breakfast items. Everyone liked their food. Felt it was priced well and you got a good amount. The only thing with my steak sandwich was there were a ton of onions but overall the flavor was good.

Google
Fantastic El Cubano! One of the best I've ever had. Well made, bread was great and perfect blend and balance of ingredients (although a few more pickles on it would have been nice). Can't recommend this enough. Will be back for sure!

Google
Coño! ¿Qué es lo que pasa aquí, ah?, is what my soul exclaimed as I bit into some of the best lechon, ever! Any food that reminds you of your sacred child hood memories is blessing in such tumultuous times. My wife and I ordered a Cuban sandwich, Lechon Sandwich, and a Pastel de Guava. Needless to say the sandwiches did not make it. We have not tried the pastel yet, but we can only imagine. I can not put into words how these sandwiches will leave you feeling, for that would be a dishonor to the food and experience. If I had one word to choose the feeling, it would be love. Like the person in the kitchen was "Mama" (my grandmother). Thank you Cuban Brothers for sparking up fond memories of my "Mama" with such phenomenal food! I'm looking forward to trying your Ropa Vieja next...

Google
I love this place! It’s a cozy and friendly environment excellent customer service. The Cubano was very good the freshness of the bread made a difference. I recommend this place 10/10

Google
Cute little spot near work. Got cubano sandwich, and it was not bad? It's not too overwhelming of mustard like a lot of other places, good crunch, and decent flavor. I do miss some real good cubano sandwich and food I had in Florida, but this will do. I will be back to different sandwiches.

Google

I started coming here for lunch and I was vegan because of a heart issue so I asked one of the owners if he could make me a bowl that was just vegan and he put together a rice and beans w tostones and avocado and it was wonderful!! ask for veggie bowl and you ll be so surprised at how full you are w out meat!!

Yelp
My neighbor and his son go here all the time!!! So my wife and I decided to go and try these sandwiches for ourselves. As we were driving , we were really excited to have a Cuban Restaurant close to us. The restaurant space is small but had enough tables for us to sit down and eat. As we were walking in, there were people walking out w/ their order. We had 4 people ahead of us and they were also taking out. The lady greeted us and was very friendly taking our order. We both ordered Cuban vegetarian sandwiches and a side of the tostones. The tostones came with a side of mojo dipping sauce. The tostones were had a perfect crisp and was really really tasty. The mojo dipping sauce had a nice tart / garlic taste that paired well with the tostones. On to the main event, the cuban sandwich! In between the perfectly pressed Cuban bread was caramelized onions, grilled tomatoes, avocado, swiss cheese, and mojo aioli. The taste of the sandwich brought me back to when I was in Miami biting into my first Cuban sandwich. I enjoyed every crunchy bite! This place is what I call a repeat! If I want a great tasting sandwich, I will make my way to Cubano Bros.

Yelp
My recent experience dining at your Elk Grove establishment was truly exceptional. Discovered via Uber Eats, and further encouraged by positive online reviews, my expectations were certainly met, and in many cases, exceeded. While the restaurant's intimate size (approximately fifteen tables for two, configurable for larger parties) contributes to its charming ambiance, the quality of the food far surpasses its modest scale. I particularly appreciated the convenience of ordering via the counter or online, with all to-go orders presented neatly in brown bags. The selection of authentic beverages, including the refreshing Jupina (reminiscent of Mexican Jarritos Pina), was a welcome touch. The culinary highlights of my visit included the Chicken Sandwich (exceptional with added cheese and avocado), the El Cubano (remarkable flavor and bread), and the Media Noche (equally impressive in its taste and generous portions). The perfectly crisp tostones, complemented by a delicious garlic sauce, were also a standout. While the lechón bowl offered acceptable rice and beans and sweet plantains, the pork itself differed significantly from the Puerto Rican lechón I am accustomed to; it was moist, but the taste profile was less familiar. Finally, the freshly baked guava pastry was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant and the friendly service were also noteworthy. In particular, the helpful recommendations provided by one of your staff members enhanced the dining experience considerably. Thank you for a memorable culinary journey. I look forward to returning in the near future.

Yelp
Cuban American here. I have been to Cubano Bros two to three times and it has not missed yet! Keep up the good work

Yelp
Having visited Miami and Cuba, I'm familiar with Cuban food. Cubano Bros. is located 'off the beaten path' in a nondescript strip mall. Their chow, noted for authenticity, draws a large lunchtime crowd from nearby factories. Most customers carry out, but tables are available for those who would rather dine in. A large mural of Havana's El Capitolio and a 'bust' of a '57 Chevy liven up the otherwise mundane room. There are no plates or silverware; all food arrives in a paper bag. The meat-filled pastries--Cuban empanadas--are not to be missed. Their El Cubano is the best Cuban sandwich I've found north of the Mason-Dixon line. Their steak sandwich puts most diner versions to shame. And the crispy-edged fried plantains arrived hot with just the right amount of sweetness. Cheerful servers bring the food to the table. We enjoyed everything so much, we ordered more food to take home.

Yelp
I've been waiting to come here for a bit and I finally went out and took the 30-40 min drive plunge! Well worth the trip! I'm Cuban myself from Miami and coming here just took me back quite a bit. It was the mural of Habana that sent me once I walked in (plus the friendly guy that took my order) Super nice staff and the food was just as amazing. Can't wait for my next visit!

Yelp
First timer into a Cubano Bros today and it did not disappoint. I had the chicken sandwich (Add Cheese) and it was one of the best sandwich's I have ever had. First off the portions are huge! Each half of the sandwich had a whole chicken breast. I ate half for lunch and had the second half for dinner. It was so delicious. I also had the Cortadito to drink. It was SO good. I was hitting my Monday afternoon slump and needed a boost of energy. This coffee was amazing and very authentic Cuban. Everyone add friendly insane. The owners David and Eddy went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience and I loved my meal. The ambiance is so cute inside as well. They have a location in the city downtown as well. My only wish is that Cubano Bros opens closer to me in Avondale-as I am rarely in Elk Grove Village.

Yelp
This is an awesome local spot to get some Cuban food. The service was excellent, food came out pretty quick, and the dining area was very neat and clean. I ordered the ropa vieja sandwich and a cafe con leche. I love that they bake the bread daily. As soon as I took my first bite, I could hear the crunch of the bread. Ropa vieja is something I get whenever I get the chance. The shredded beef was tender and the sandwich was very satisfying. I already want more as I'm writing this review. The cafe con leche was okay. I thought it would be a stronger coffee taste, but still good. They have a handful of items on the menu that I want to try the next time I go. It's a small menu and everything on it sounds delicious.

Yelp
My partner is Cuban and was missing a taste of home, this little gem was soooooo freaking good. We got our taste of really 5 star cuban food in less than what felt was 3 mins. We also got the cafe con leche and colada and the taste of fresh cuban espresso was stellar. A soft subtle cuban music playing to start the day. Listen! I'm everywhereeee with this one, its really really good and really really delicious, I wanna take an hour ride here again and again, absolutely fantastic. Thank you for a delicious start to the day Cubano Bros!! 1000/10 would come again!

Yelp
This place was great when it first opened, but since then it hasn't been that great. Portion sizes are smaller, prices are higher, and it's cold inside. I had the $13 steak sandwich this time and it was all bread, barely any "steak". Don't think I'll be returning.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise to find this Cuban spot in a strip mall. It was recommended to me and lived up to my expectations. I stopped by for some breakfast and left satisfied. The service was quick and the food was just as good.
google avatar

Eugene W.

Yelp
I got the lechon. Bread was ultra crispy, which was nice. Meat was flavorful, but on the dry side. Portions were way too small - left feeling hungry. Service was fast and it wasn't too crowded. Disappointed that they don't offer tap water.
google avatar

Maria R.

Yelp
This place is clean and nice. The food here was good. I really like their Tostones. The El Cubano sandwich was amazing. I had their Lechon Asada bowl It was ok. I just felt that the beans needed more flavor. However when I mixed the Lechon together with the rice , it was good. However, the service is really fast. Definitely will come again. Would like to try something different. They do have a nice outside seating area. So again definitely have to get the sandwich. Try it you'll love it.

Yelp
I was in the area after going to my mechanic David Bang of Smart Auto (highly recommend) so decided to finally try out this place that I had bookmarked awhile ago. Ordered a cubano ($10.99) and grilled chicken ($10.99) sandwiches plus a lechon bowl ($12.99) for my family. Everything was delicious and enjoyed. Would try more from their menu.

Yelp
The best Cuban sandwich I've had in the suburbs. Not much to say that hasn't been said. House made bread is dynamite. Order the plantains - outstanding!

Yelp
This place is truly special, especially if you are a fan of Cuban sandwiches. A definite gem located in a Plaza in Elk Grove Village. About a 15 minute drive from O'Hare Airport. They make their bread with dough shipped from Miami. Near the windy city, it doesn't get anymore closer to the real deal. Grab yourself a cafe con leche and a warm guava & cheese pastry if you really want the full experience. Great breakfast sandwiches also. Been coming here for about 2 years now for lunch and the service is always stellar.. super friendly people and very welcoming. The space usually has a table to sit and enjoy your food and some cool art on the wall to look at while you enjoy your food.

Yelp
I am absolutely thrilled to have discovered an authentic Cuban restaurant in our area! It's a fantastic alternative to making the trek into the city, and I couldn't be happier about it. On my recent visit, we decided to try a variety of dishes, including the lechón and their famous Cubano sandwiches. We also nailed the sides with plátano maduros and crispy tostones, and of course, I had to indulge in a cafe con leche. The sandwiches were simply amazing! The flavors were incredible, with the meats perfectly seasoned and marinated. You can really tell that they take pride in their dishes, as the taste is anything but bland. Each bite was a burst of flavor that made my taste buds dance with joy! Now, the tostones were another highlight of the meal. Served with a delectable garlic aioli, they were perfectly crispy and so much better than the banana chips you'd find at other places. These were real banana patties, fried to perfection, and the combination with the creamy aioli was absolutely divine! And let's not forget about the coffee. They serve it in just one size, but trust me--you won't be disappointed! It's strong, rich, and absolutely bursting with flavor, making it the perfect accompaniment to the meal! The restaurant itself is small and clean, which I find charming. It's true that often the coziest little spots serve the best food! If you're looking for authentic Cuban food that won't disappoint, this restaurant needs to be at the top of your list. Enjoy your meal--you're in for a treat!

Yelp
Clean and cute place, food came a little slow, but it all tasted great. I probably wouldn't drive far to go here again but if it was closer, definitely.

Carlos I.

Yelp
Will never visit this establishment ever again, it only took one time, went too buy a loaf of Cuban bread and they charged me ($12.00) for the loaf it was to late to cancel thy order plus saw there Cuban steak sandwich, it was a joke. The piece of steak looked like the sole of my shoe, like I told him good luck cause he will never see me ever again. PS, if you want a great Cuban Steak sandwich ,Bia El Mariano , Addison and Narragansett and Chicago excellent food and service.

Yelp
In the area for work and had their Cubano yesterday. It was so good I came back today and got the Lechon Asado bowl. It was also excellent. Simple and perfectly executed.

Yelp
We had the El Cubano, Cuban Bros Chicken Sandwich, and Café Con Leche - all were delicious, we will definitely be back.

Yelp
Cute little place near the hotel we're staying at. My husband and I both ordered bacon and egg paninis and cafe con leches and my son had a guava and cheese pastry to go. Everything was pretty tasty. I realized I had half an avocado when we got back and added it to the sandwiches- definitely took them to the next level. The homemade bread was outstanding. The cafe con leche was good but not amazing. However, the guy working the counter this morning was super nice and friendly. Our order was prepared quickly and accurately. We'll quite possibly be back for breakfast again tomorrow.
google avatar

Charlie N.

Yelp
Arrived at 2:45, they close at 3, wanted to order a sandwich to go. Chairs were already up and the girl sweeping said they would not take my order. Just coffee and a pastry. I grew up working in the industry, if you close at 3, you allow customers to order and sit. The least you could do is allow a to go order. Customer service is just not what it use to be and the standards just aren't there anymore. Disappointing.
google avatar

Yelp
Cuban sandwich was really good. Loved the bread. Staff was very friendly and food came out fast and hot. Would definitely come back again.

Yelp
Overall, this is exactly the spot that we were looking for. Great sandwiches, great coffee the food legitimately taste homemade. We will definitely be coming again.

Yelp
Amazing food was really good Medianoche is awesome and the classic Cuban sandwich as well and the toasted Cuban bread with butter

Yelp
Simple menu, great Cubano sandwich. Colleague tried the steak sandwich and said it was excellent.

Yelp
The best in the Midwest for your Cuban antojos! The media noche is by far my favorite.
google avatar

Yahaira J.

Yelp
I went here because the suburbs don't have many Caribbean options but it's a small place with very few options. I ordered several of their sandwiches and dessert options and they were ok. Coffee was really good and service was attentive.
google avatar

Franco R.

Yelp
Owner reached out to me to address my negative experience. I will potentially give them another shot in the future.
google avatar

Jacob J.

Yelp
What makes their Cubano sandwiches outstanding are the ingredients and freshly baked Cuban breads. It's got an authentic flavor to it, as told by their owners. Taking into account the few offerings I've had around Chicagoland, this was best. Friends that live near Chicago's most favorite Cubano sandwich locations were asked to check out the sandwiches and... all agreed this was tastier but, why so far away from Chicago! They open early and close by mid afternoon. So, by the time I get through desk work and feel like grabbing a sandwich, they are already closed. Just remember they close promptly so call ahead. Driving back to the city with a napkin under my chin and half sandwich on my armrest will have to do for now! Favs: Media noche & Cubano.
google avatar

Rico R.

Yelp
Simple sandwich menu. Had the Cubana, it was really good. Good selection of drinks. I will definitely be back to try more of the sandwich's!

Daniel A.

Yelp
The Chicken Sandwich is incredible, the garlic cheese they put on it is so good. Coffee Con Leche is a must if you're a coffee lover. Good Cuban sandwich. Food is made fresh, and they have a clean sit down area. Great people work here as well. Best place in EGV
google avatar

Augost P.

Yelp
Their Cuban sandwiches are as good as the ones in Miami. Delicious. I'll return in the future

A-ron M.

Yelp
Really good Cubano and an extremely hard find authentic sandwich in the Chicago area. I got a sandwich to go and the only thing I wish I had with it were plantain chips and some chimichura
google avatar

Paul O.

Yelp
Came by here to pick up a sandwich and walked right out. Nobody in this place is wearing a mask. Not the girl at the front taking orders to the cooks in back making sandwiches. This is just so you all know. If you don't care then go for it. With COVID on the rise again and with the statewide mandate and with the lack of following the mandate I'll stop coming here. It's a shame.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow! Just WOW! BEST Cubano...Ham, roast pork, Swiss cheese, mustard & pickles on freshly pressed cuban bread. It was so fresh and soooo delicious! The bread is baked fresh daily and you could tell! We also ordered the Ropa Vieja Sandwich...Shredded beef cooked in cuban spiced tomato sauce on freshly pressed cuban bread. Amazing!!! Bursting with flavor, I loved every bite! Nothing was greasy at all, but it was juicy! The avocado salad was also a hit! The large chunks of fresh avocado and tomatoes with sliced onion were incredibly fresh with a great tangy lime vinaigrette. We topped it all off with an Ironbeer soda. Tasted like a cross between root beer and cream soda. Delicious! PLEASE be sure to check this place out. You won't be disappointed! #supportlocal #cubano
google avatar

Craig S.

Yelp
Just a small local place that does Cuban food right!! All of their food is delicious and authentic. Their Cafe con Leche is a coffee drinkers dream. They bake their own Cuban bread daily and that only adds to the flavor authenticity. If you are looking for GOOD Cuban - you found it!!

Yelp
I learned about Cubano Bros through an Instagram or Twitter post by The Hungry Hound, Steve Dolinksy. I have always been a fan of Cuban sandwiches. I have had some in the Chicago area and some in Miami/ Ft. Lauderdale areas. Cubano Bros is a family owned local restaurant that serves authentic and tasty Cuban food. It's a part of a small plaza. You can find here breakfast items, Cuban sandwiches, Cuban bowls, and some side dishes like Tostones, Croquettes De Jamon etc. They also offer Cafe Con Leche, Cuban coffee, Cortadito and cola/ sodas. I have been here only once to do a take-out as I wanted to try their sandwiches. I ordered their El Cubano and Vegetarian sandwich. Both were good. I was biased towards the El Cubano. It was quite flavorful and filling. Cubano Bros baked their own Cuban bread in-house. Their bread is moist and flaky with a paper-thin crust. It is perfect for such sandwiches. The portion size of the sandwiches is pretty good as well. I wish I had room for more sandwiches because I also wanted to try their Media Noche and Lechon Asado sandwiches. But it will have to wait till the next time I visit them. They have a good menu variety and prices are reasonable. Their service was good as well. I look forward to going back for more. Check them out. Cuban Bros is worth the visit.

Yelp
Stopped in late Saturday for the first time, ordered for 6 people Sophie took the order n got it right. Got to my in laws for an early Father's Day. OMG out of the world delicious. Every one enjoyed the food, and was looking for more. Will be doing online or phone in the future.

Yelp
Does not disappoint! I'm hooked on the traditional Cuban sandwich.... My go too treat
google avatar

Susie R.

Yelp
Nice and clean place, love the vibrant colors everywhere and the pictures, specially the one that occupies the one wall the food is good for a quick grab since they are pretty quick to serve. I'm glad I didn't bring lunch to work today
google avatar

Melanie V.

Yelp
Good Cuban food is hard to come by but Cubano Bros does a great job. Fines in one time and post covid received pick up from a coworker. Lechon Asado tasted the same both times! Super savory pork with a little tang, caramelized onions, black beans, rice and plantains! Enough food for two meals so always a favorite at my home. Others in my group love the Cubano sandwich and steak sandwich however I cannot vouch. I'm demoting a star because dining in isn't a great experience. It's in a strip mall, not super bright or clean feeling, and tables are tight together. I enjoy the small menu and great food but portions are a little big as well as the prices. The Lechon Asado was $12 which could be a lot for lunch. I would appreciate a smaller portion for a smaller price. Sandwiches are $10-$11 and are pretty big. Still an enjoyable treat when working in Elk Grove.
google avatar

Chris J.

Yelp
Omg I can't believe I didn't know about this place. The pastries are a most do. I cant wait to try the breakfast and cuban coffee.
google avatar

Danny E.

Yelp
I was recently in Miami again and thought I had a good Cuban sandwich there multiple times, but the following week I found myself in Chicago and went to Cubano Bros. I quickly realized that the sandwich at Cubano Bros was better than any Cubano I had in Miami or South Florida. I let the owner know and he was very appreciative. He told me they import their bread from Miami. Their Cubano coffee is also spectacular. It was so good. We went back the next day for lunch and I had the same thing again.
google avatar

Rosie A.

Yelp
This is such a hidden gem located in the quiet suburb of Elk Grove Village! Have always searched for some yummy Cuban sandwiches around the suburbs but could never find any until now! Their sandwiches are beyond delicious! The service is so quick and the owners are very nice! When I went, there weren't many people as I think that most customers grab and go. Regardless, whether it's quiet or semi-busy, you won't find better Cuban sandwiches than these!
google avatar

Sunny P.

Yelp
I am vegan( for medical reasons) and it's so hard finding options, Thank God they are willing to help me figure out something on their menu that they created something especially for me, the rice and beans, bowl w avocado, and a side of tostones! And a wonderful price!!! This is now my go to for lunch almost every day, and I couldnt be any happier. Not to mention everyone I know it says their sandwiches are so goof!!
google avatar

Jim T.

Yelp
Lived most of my life in Tampa so I know about good Cuban "Sangwich" as it is known down there. This sandwich at Cubano bros is the real deal. The bread dough is brought up from Miami. Try the Plantanos Maduro
google avatar

G G.

Yelp
Unassuming little shop next to the 7-11 but they're so so good! Excellent Cuban that's a rival of any you find in South Florida, perfectly done maduros, and a terrific cup of coffee! Love this place!!
google avatar

Ryan C.

Yelp
Have you ever had a cuban sandwich? Was it pretty good, but you felt like it needed something else? I will tell you what was missing. The correct cuban bread and wow does this place have it. It is sweet and soft and crunchy but not the kind of crunchy that hurts your mouth. It makes the sandwich. Now personally I prefer the Media Noche to the Cuban, but they have a couple other sandwiches that could scratch your itch too, like the lechon asado/pulled pork, and the ropa vieja/shredded beef. They also have a ground beef pastry that is amazing and black beans that are top notch. We have only ever ordered food here through door dash, and sometimes they mess up and don't send everything. But I think more often, they get it right and it is so worth it. The menu is not huge, but what they have is great. The one exception in my opinion are the croquettes. I hate ham salad passionately and these are like a deep fried stick of ham salad. I can barely write about it without... well anyway, to each, their own!
