"The absolutely fabulous location is as much of a draw as the glass architecture, the design and the ambitious international cuisine. There is a simpler lunch menu, too. The o.T. Bar serves breakfast, cake and after-work drinks. The lovely terrace is positioned on Schlossplatz, a square in front of the art museum. Tip for theatre- and concert-goers: Ask about their "late-night" dining slot." - Michelin Inspector

The view from restaurant Cube is second to none in Stuttgart. Every dish we had was outstanding and left my wife and I feeling very satisfied with our choice. Our server Robert was very helpful in explaining the menu, and was overall extremely pleasant in having conversation. I would recommend wearing some light comfortable clothes because it does get a little warm in the restaurant. Perfect for a date night with your loved one, or a small intimate meal with friends. The scallop dish and the yellowfin tuna w/risotto deserve special mention. It may be the best yellowfin i have had in years.

Went here for a special lunch and it exceeded our expectations. Food was incredible and you can’t beat the location and view. We had the Ramen and Sea Bass, could have eaten ten portions! 4/5 stars for service because they seemed to forget we didn’t order our main meal so it was delayed.

How should I praise the perfect menu I had here at CUBE, I would say it's better than most Michelin stars gourmet restaurants, period!!! Appetizer is seaweed seasoned with Eastern style sauce and mixed with cashew, the delicate taste came along with crunchy texture, what a good way to start. Followed by Canadian Pike Carppacio, Spicy Thai Soup, Scallop, New Zealand Fillet (medium rare), and ended with Apricot Mojito, everything was not just perfect, astonishingly delicious. Will definitely bring my family and friends here soon.

Brilliantly done food in an excellent setting with great service. We had an amazing evening at this restaurant which faces schloßplatz. The restaurant is located in the museum building on the top floor and can be reached through an elevator accessible from the main museum doors. The reservation handling was perfect and we got a great table by the glass facade with a very nice view of the square and the city. Coming to the highlight of the evening - the food - every dish was thoughtfully made with a very good interplay of flavours and textures. For us the highlight of the evening was the beef two ways, the trout and the apricot panacotta. We chose the 5 course tasting menu and left really full. The servers were very attentive and efficient. The cons : The place is quite expensive and not kid friendly. The dishes are all evolved and not suitable for kids. Would highly recommend the place for a date night or a special occasion. They absolutely deliver.

By far the best thing is the view. The service is good, however I was really disappointed of the food, my high expectations weren't met. The combinations sounded very promising. I still choose one starter and one main dish over a 3/4/5 course menu. Both were okay. I've had much better in way less fancy places. The tatar tasted good, yet nothing special. The tuna steat that I ordered English came medium+, so I had to return it. Surprisingly, the second portion tasted better than the first bites of the first one. My recommendation: there's better restaurants for the price paid.

Amazing visit again. This is our 7th time to the Cube. We had a wonderful window table for my husband’s birthday 🥳. Our meal was impeccable as was the service.

Returned after good experience 6 yrs ago. Views of Stuttgart surroundings hills still great …. but food and service were a BIG disappointment. Arrived early to nearly empty restaurant and asked to be seated “somewhere near” windows / view. We were well-dressed (art museum attire; no sneakers or caps) ... but our request was denied (all other tables booked). We were seated max distance from windows, beside kitchen. Mid May so I chose white asparagus starter that l know and love in that season. Plate that arrived was SO disappointing - not fresh, not tender, no flavor - that (when pressed by hostess) I had to ask if it came out of a tin or jar, it was that bad. Main was “lamb 2 ways” at EU_50 each plate. We are Australian born - KNOW and LOVE lamb. One way was grilled “odd cut” (a small cube of tenderloin at best) which tasted OK but needed much better support than the single not-couscous mess that it was served on. 2nd way was more interesting lamb off cuts in a small cup of foamed middle eastern spices. But it was luke warm / cold and the small lamb cuts were dry and stringy (more like mutton than lamb). When we left the restaurant some 2 hrs later, the 8-top tables immed by windows were indeed fully taken. But more than half of the remaining 20-30 tables - ALL closer to the view / windows than our table - were still empty. We had spent EU_200 and came away feeling disrespected and shocked by the poor quality of food and service we received. Go for the views and a pre-dinner drink … but go somewhere else for fine dining in Stuttgart.

Yelp
Oh, the location, the view, the food, the service. What an memorable experience at the Cube. Would eat there again.

Yelp
My Wife and I went here for a date night; this place is good for that! The portions are small, but here in Germany things like the glassware, drinks, etc. are measured exactly as they should be for portion size, so don't go here if you're a greedy pig looking to stuff your face with a serving for 20. The food is very filling and honestly the best food we've tasted here in Stuttgart! This is an authentic gourmet restaurant with a Michelin Star; these are earned, not by yelp reviews and random people, but by the big wigs. They've earned it and have maintained that reputation regardless of what other reviews show. My wife and I had the duck and deer for the main courses. Both were incredibly amazing! We cleaned our entire plate and were tempted to lick them clean. We ordered the beef tartare for the starter and we probably had the same euphoric reaction a Lion would biting down on on some caribou. For dessert, we chose the Sorbet and the Almond Pudding/Cake. 20/10 for all of the food; all of which was recommended by Rusty so thank you for that! Danke schön! We were recommended, by Rusty, the Primitivo red wine and the Lugano white wine; both Italian wines were incredibly delicious and a perfect pairing for the meal! We tried a glass of both to start and decided to buy a bottle of the Primitivo; good choice! There are many more wines and more elegant/High-end wines but we stuck with the recommended Primitivo. We loved the ambiance, and the spinning clear dome chairs suspended from the ceiling were a nice way to get a little cozy together. The music varied, but all tunes were perfect for the mood! They had R&B, Alternative, Jazz, and other good tunes! A lot of individuals are saying it's expensive; most likely due to the "small portions/price,"but as mentioned, these proportions are perfect and the taste is worth the price! A good filling meal and a great night; we will definitely return for a future endeavor! Johanna and Rusty were tending to our requests and we couldn't be happier with their performance, professionalism, kindness, sociability, and the service! You both were awesome and we thank you! To the chef and all the kitchen; BRAVO! Thank you for the meal.

Yelp
Food is good and the ambiance is amazing. Located in the heart of Stuttgart city Center.

Yelp
The food, service and wine list were all good. It was a great location in central downtown and a innovative designed space with great views!

Yelp
Right off the bat I will say this place is expensive. Now that is out of the way, it is worth the cost! Since my mother is in town we took advantage of a free babysitter and had a date night. I made reservations at Cube and selected the the romantic package. On our table was a personalized menu card with what our meal was going to entail and rose petals. One downside to this package is unless you speak German you can't understand the email they send you that may or may not let you select what your courses will be. We were quite surprised when we looked at the menu that we weren't given a choice. For our starter we were supposed to get octopus carpaccio. Luckily, since I don't eat seafood I was able to select a different starter, which I selected the beef tartare. My wife enjoyed her octopus, which was razor thin sliced, and I thoroughly enjoyed my tartare which the black truffle paired nicely. For our soup I stayed with our pre-selected menu of Thai soup which had a nice spice to it and a good flavor of ginger and lemongrass. My wife isn't a fan of spicy, so they allowed her to change her soup to the parsnip soup which she enjoyed. For the main course we both received a filet mignon which were seasoned perfectly and cooked to our liking. The butternut squash purée was different but good. The rainbow carrots were fantastic. For dessert, the let us deviate from the chef's selection and we both went for the sticky toffee bread pudding with ice cream. Man we're we glad we did as it was amazing! All in all it was a great meal. My only reason for the four stars instead of five was our seating. Since this was supposed to be a romantic dinner I expected to be seated where we could enjoy the amazing view of the city, and while we could sort of see it, it didn't hit the mark for the price we paid for the package.

Yelp
I was super excited to eat here based on the photos that I saw online -- what a view! I was actually more excited about the view and restaurant environment than the food to be honest. When I arrived, they seated me despite not having a reservation (I think it's usually required) since it wasn't full at that point. The fish and chips that I ordered were pretty good but the fried fish was a little overcooked. Regardless I was impressed with the view over Schlossplatz and I would highly recommend this place for tourists and dates.

Yelp
This skyline view restaurant is definitely a tourist attraction. The food is displayed nicely to compliment its fancy setting, but you know something is off when the restaurant serves you a hand held fan for starters... I'm hoping they work on their air conditioner, but until then, dress in your thinnest appropriate summer attire all year round if you want to check this spot out! Their view of Stuttgart keeps them worth checking out so that works in their favor. The food is alright but just over all hard to enjoy when you're dripping sweat uncomfortably. If you come in a group party larger than 10, they limit down your menu options drastically to have their kitchen accommodate. The service was a little odd when I checked it out as they definitely weren't a full house, and yet it took forever to order and even longer to get the entrees. It doesn't seem like there's too much to do in Stuttgart, Germany over all so the Cube serves for cute pictures at least! If I ever come back to this town, I'd consider giving them a second chance but definitely dress down and come in later evening hours when the sun isn't brutally shining on the glass walls & roof here.

Yelp
Service was good, view is amazing, located inside the museum. Food was good, had a salmon and cheese roll starter, the main was fried chicken with pumpkin mash and pineapples. All taste really good. Would recommend it !

Yelp
The food was very good. Going down an unlit hallway to the restroom in a nice restaurant is not good. Having no towels for hand drying is unacceptable. Being on the fourth floor with an inoperable elevator is not so good. Walking down four flights of unlit stairs to get back to the street is very poor. Other than that, I guess it's okay. If you're in Stuttgart and want a nice meal, I'd go to Oggi!

Yelp
Had heard many good things about the Cube here in Stuttgart. Some work colleagues and I decided to try it for a going away event. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED.... I will never go back. The food was unimpressive and lacked inspiration. I ordered the €30 salmon which came in a bowl filled with a quarter inch of water, three asparagus spears and watered down white rice. The restaurant was only filled to about 1/3 capacity all night. We sat down at 7pm and were not served our main course until 9:15pm. The only thing that was great their was the view of the Schlossplatz. I would not go back nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

Yelp
Okay, this place looking at it from the street seems like a great idea. It's a restaurant above an art museum that is all windows, overlooking the city. Great views of the city. Very cool idea, right? Don't go to to this place on a warm, sunny day. It was ungodly hot. The sun beats down through those wonderful glass walls and they don't exactly turn on the air conditioning here. The food though - amazing. It's very high-end and the presentation is amazing. I ordered the poulard (I had to ask my German colleague what poulard was - "it's like chicken") and it was delicious. I just would've enjoyed it a lot more if I wasn't eating it in Hades.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing view. If you have friends or just want the best view of downtown Stuttgart, come here. My husband and so came for drinks and enjoyed the overlook onto Schlossplatz for a few hours with a bottle of wine. The staff were great!

Yelp
Great location and very cool ambience. The food was great. I would have given 5 stars except that the hostess had a bit of a snobby attitude. When we checked in with the hostess we asked to sit by a window and she said, well you only made a reservation today but lucky for you there was a cancellation so we could sit next to the window. And the restaurant was probably at 25% capacity. You've got to be kidding. I certainly did not appreciate her snobbery.

Yelp
The location of this place can't be beat. They got me in on very short notice for lunch. My wife's risotto was little under done, but they took it back and brought it back great. The wine bottle menu was a good value. Great price for lunch menu. My wife and I enjoyed the meal.

Yelp
Fantastic view and fabulous food! If you have visitors this is place to take them if you really want to impress. The view of the city and the ambiance is the best in Stuttgart. The food is wonderful- steak highly recommended.

Yelp
Nice place to eat for a special occasion. It has a nice view overseeing the scholsplatz. My girlfriend and I both had the black angus beef fillet and it was delicious! Great local wines too!
