Food is alright, portion is kind of small considering the price. The worst is the service. Served by a tall lady wearing leggings with inpatient and contemptuous face all the time. There was zero service throughout the dining, all waiters seemed disappeared - Oh I see they were busy serving the Non Chinese guests with full face of sunny smiles we never expected 1/10 of, great! What’s more ridiculous, when they hand us the bill, we realized one dish’s price is higher than what’s on the menu, the leggings lady arrogantly said “we have the right to modify the price” (“我们有权修改价格”). Everything was just so great, worth the 1 star rating. Would give ZERO if I could. …………………………………………………………… Hi, the clownish owner: Thanks for your loooong and entertaining response, I really appreciate your dedication trying to fight back every bad review instead of sparing some to serve the guests well. First, thanks for the hearty hot water and “allowing” us extra time looking at menu. Do you know why we need extra time? It’s because what we wanted to order was not available. It’s not until we ask to know there were more items unavailable. And, I do feel sorry for your struggle trying to find what few services you actually provided and realized you have to claim this “allowing extra time” as the credit. Second, about Chinese guests bias. There was an American couple sitting in front of us, I bet you would feel much less struggle when naming the services you provided to them: sunny smile, chatty tongues, attentive service throughout their dinning and warm “thank you” closing their bill. Meanwhile we were out of water and napkins, who ever came to help? All waiters disappeared since serving the first dish until we asked for the bill. We understand the biased services because many Chinese restaurants do so, but they at least hold the bottom line of service. Third, what is the bottom line? That comes the price discrepancy dispute. We understand the price on the menu could be outdated, we also paid the higher actual price, but what is “we have the right to amend the price” with contemptuous attitude? Maybe we should feel sorry for not being aware of the outdated menu even though you handed to us and for not knowing your SUPREME right to alter the price without any notice. We are sorry for wasting your time explaining to us. Then with mutual respect that you had frequently mentioned in your response, you should feel delighted with the 1 star review because it’s actually a 5 star review in the inverse world :) Finally, again we appreciate your long excuses, that would definitely help more guests realize how arrogant and deceptive your restaurant is. Cheers!

I love their food! The pork ribs are amazing. Edited 2024. I used to love to go there, dine in and carry out. Their service and food went downhill badly!! Food price went up, ok I understand. But waiting for food for more than 1 hour?! My husband ordered the carryout, went there 20 minutes later, food was not ready. He waited another 50 minutes until food is ready. Bad service!!! How can you ignore your customer like that. We will no longer go there. You just lost a loyal customer.

This is a hidden gem. They have authentic Szechuan dishes. The dumplings are homemade. You can taste the Quality in it. The fish in Mandarin sauce was amazing. The tuna taco was fresh and crispy. The gray short rib was so tender and favorful. The winter rose was scrumptious. The Dan Dan noodles was so soft and spicy. The fried rice was good. The rice roll in brown sugar was sweet and soft. It's pricey, but worth every penny. Staff was so helpful and nice. Definitely will be back

The bartender was very nice and attentive. She remembered me and my drink order! The miso soup was very good, onions a little strong but great flavor. As far as miso’s go 8/10. I ordered a spicy crab roll and a galaxy roll (no tobiko) to go. The spicy crab roll, (I really wanted to like it and was craving it)… just a tempura crumb roll with a teeny tiny piece of crab. I know it’s $6 but… 🙁 The galaxy roll was good, but I wish they had chopped the cucumber and not put such a solid piece in each one, I thought that was pretty weird. I will say they have fantastic Mai Tais and really amazing General Gao Chicken. That was the best part of the experience, hands down.

Food was good. Servers were efficient and fast, not very chatty. A woman, perhaps the manager, did come over later to make conversation. She was lovely. She explained that Cubist Circle really specializes in spicy cuisine and invited me to return to try other dishes. My Hot and Sour soup and Cucumber with Garlic were really delicious. Green tea came in a mug with a Bigelow tea bag, as opposed to in a tea pot. Atmosphere is big, lots of space, large rooms, feels like a venue for events not like a regular restaurant. I was quite chilly and the bathroom was cold. I think if it had been crowded at night, the feel would have been quite different.

Google
The newest Szechuan restaurant in Weymouth. A true authentic of Szechuan style food. The food and service were excellent. The interior is fresh and clean and decorated in a minimalist style. The tables and chairs are very comfortable. You’re presented with a lovely cold bottle of water with lemon upon seating. The menu is a great variety of specialty dishes. There is a separate menu for the sushi and drinks. We had the Spicy pepper Chicken, Mapo tofu and scallion pancake. Everything was wonderful. We are definitely coming back soon to explore many of their other dishes. We were then delighted with a complimentary Milk Tea Jelly, which was beautifully presented on a tray where you get to assemble the dessert on your own. I or we both highly recommend this restaurant to all who can take the spicy style of food. 9/3/2020: Our 2nd visit for my Birthday and celebrated with a few other dishes. The Green Beans with minced pork were perfection as was the Twice Cooked Pork. However the Spicy Pork Ribs were INCREDIBLE... The chef also started off our perfect mean with a non menu item Hot & Sour Soup, which was stellar!!! We’re already figuring out the next trips choices. Keep up the great work!!!

Google
This restaurant is huge and has a tone of seating. The design inside is pretty cool too. Very bright and a lot of open seating. Very large selection on the menu. The mala dry pot was a bit too salty. There were a lot of things included in it but it doesn’t show on the menu! I wish you had the option to select what goes in. The spicy wontons and Dan Dan noodles were the best thing I had at dinner. the spicy wontons itself were a bit lacking in flavor but with the sauce it’s pretty good. Dan Dan noodles were very favorable but missing a bit of cucumber. String beans were pretty good but could be a bit more crispy. I do want to try their sushi and other dishes in the future.

So we came here for my son‘s 22nd birthday, the restaurant was empty and there were only four people sitting at the bar. We decided to come because the reviews were so good. So we became a little worried about the quality of the food. So we sat in the bar area and we ordered two drinks a blue Hawaiian and a circle my Thai( spelling) they were so strong I couldn’t even finish mine. We ordered the pan fried and steamed Dumplins, The spicy combo the regular combo in the tricolor platter of sushi, everything was delicious. If you are looking for presentation of food this is not the place to come. The atmosphere is l nothing to look at, it looks like they are still working on the interior. I don’t think we will dine in again but we would definitely do takeout.

Yelp
Cubist Circle is my favorite restaurant for Asian cuisine outside of Boston. The food is authentic, delicious and not very expensive. There is a wide selection of choices on the menu as well so everyone can find something they like. The staff is also very friendly and are happy to accommodate you on any request. The only downside is the ambience, which is a little too "cafeteria-esque", but what I will say is it feels very clean when you walk in. Overall I love Cubist Circle and I would recommend it to anyone looking for good Asian food.

Yelp
Visited Cubist Circle for dinner after spending most of the day at the beach and was pleasantly surprised with their food! This restaurant is HUGE and has lots of seating. They also have a bar area, sushi bar, and a downstairs that can be rented out for events. We tried the salted duck yolk ribs, salt & pepper calamari, dan dan noodles, chili oil wontons, and mango green tea. The mango green tea tasted refreshing and similar to how they have mango green teas at boba tea spots. 4.5/5 The dan dan noodles were actually pretty good. I really enjoyed this dish and I typically don't enjoy dan dan noodles but this was yum. It had a peanut butter taste with a nice kick; I love peanut butter noodles. 5/5 The chili oil wontons were okay. They were a bit bland and wished it could've been saltier. Not much flavor for this dish. 3/5 My favorite dish we got was the salted duck egg yolk ribs! I highly recommend. The salted egg yolks paired well with the ribs. It was perfect! 5/5 My least favorite dish that we ordered was their salt and pepper calamari. They dressed it with a lot of cumin, which was fine, but the calamari itself was extremely disappointing because the "squid" was super soggy and had no crunch at all (slight crunch is usually expected with most Chinese spots' calamari). We actually were not sure if there was even any squid in this dish and if it was just batter. Would not get this again. 0/5 Overall, not a bad meal. Most likely never getting the calamari again. The salted egg yolk ribs were FIRE, MUST GET! As well as their green tea. Our server was nice and attentive. Every time she walked by, she poured us more water. We all each had 3-4 cups of water this meal because we were all parched from being out in the sun all day. Would come here again if in the area ;)

Yelp
Found this spot as a place to go after the beach in nantasket. Over in weymouth we walked it it honestly have temple like vibes (what it may have been as a facility in the past) Open area seating, sushi bar room and drinking bar room. The place is large: The booths have a lot of space and as you sit down, you'll probably sink into the seats like we did and the table becomes pretty high to eat on haha. At first the menu was pretty large and pricing seemed a bit on the more pricey side, but we made a couple selections to try. Fried ribs in duck yolk was a 5/5 crispy, crunchy, flavor was had a good balance of saltiness and the yolk; you just wanted more. The chili wontons is as you would expect from a wonton/dumpling. Could have used a bit more seasoning on the filling, kind of wish they had baby shrimp in there or something for a difference in textures. Overall enjoyable. The dan dan noodles wasn't really sure what to expect. Pleasantly surprised and we gobbled that dish up. It has peanut type sauce over top and hot chili sauce on bottom so be sure to use the provided Tongs to thoroughly mix. Scrumptious The green tea mango drink tasted yummy, like at a boba tea shop! The salt pepper calamari that i normally get at any establishment that we eat at, was the only real let down. Seasoned heavily with cumin i think, but it was NOT crispy and was just mushy with each bite. It made us feel the need to inspect to see if there was even any squid inside or was it just batter. I would NOT order this particular dish and opt for the salt pepper wings next time. All in all a good experience. Our server was super nice, she was working the room solo today, bussing, packing take out orders and serving tables. Cheers to her she kept our waters full and was attentive.

Yelp
This place is a bit obscure. They have large parking spot and the restaurant is spacious. No music was played when I was there and servers sure took their time before taking my orders. Despite the delay, server was nice and friendly. I ordered seaweed salad, steamed siumai, pork dumpling in Szechuan sauce, and beef stew noodle. Food was great. Szechuan sauce dumpling was less spicy than expected, beef stew broth was a bit bland but its great food nevertheless.

Yelp
Great food at great prices! This restaurant is located in a weird spot, but the food is amazing and is definitely a hidden gem. I've only come here for a quick casual meal, but the vibes can create a more intimate dinner spot if thats what you're looking for. There's never been a wait the three times I've visited (weekday lunch and Friday dinner). Food is also quick to come out. I love the eggplant dish. I typically don't like eggplants, but the seasoning and sauce they have is amazing. Chicken in chili oil is also good. It tastes authentic, though it could use a little more flavor. The dry pot and fried rice were very good, but also very spicy! Definitely recommend a visit if you enjoy spicy Chinese cuisine. I would say the prices here are a lot better than the restaurants in Quincy/Wollaston.

Jolanta L.

Yelp
It's so great to find such a nice restaurant! The crispy pork rib with egg yolk was amazing! And the Sizchuan numb pepper chicken was really authentic! The Spicy Mung Bean noodle was okay, little bit plain. The overall food was pretty good, and the price was very good considering in MA. The staff were super nice and friendly! Strongly recommended!

Yelp
Authentic Chinese in Weymouth? Almost, but we're not Quincy are we. The Cubist Circle is by far the best Weymouth has to offer. Though lacking live fish wells, they do it right. The Salt and Pepper Wings were spot on. Beef n Broccoli... check . Scallion pancake, crazy flaky. The Crispy Duck stole the show. Dipped in hoisin sauce. News flash. Ducks have bones. Pork and Leek Dumplings, Devine. Get this, they had Bacon Fried Rice. You know I'm getting that right? Only complaint. Where da hot mustard?

Dan L.

Yelp
We enjoyed a nice, authentic sichuan Chinese dinner at Cubist Circle recently. it appears to be a pretty popular place as people are constantly coming in. The atmosphere is very hairy due to that extremely high ceilings and bright lighting, which I enjoyed compared to many other Chinese restaurants that have dim lighting or don't really have a nice decor. Service is very fast and efficient. We ordered fried green beans, spicy wontons, Dan Dan noodles and chicken wings which were all very good. Prices were reasonable at mid-teens to $20 per dish.

Renee H.

Yelp
The general gao chicken- the meat was cooked well. But the sauce was very nauseating, it was basically jelly when i received it and heated it up. I ate a few pieces and threw the rest away. When i tilted the spoon the sauce didn't move. That and they did not provide me with white rice- which is supposed to be included in the meal. The crab rangoons were just ok, some were over fried. The dumplings were good though. Food: 2/5 Prices: The prices are decent. Fair I'd say. Can't speak for service or ambiance as i ordered for delivery.

Thanh L.

Yelp
Probably my favorite place for authentic Chinese food. The service is good. The interior is beautiful. Tonight, we got some new menu items like coconut chicken hot pot, Pickled Paper Bullfrog Pot, Honey Walnut shrimp and sweet sour pork. The Coconut Chicken Hotpot broth was delicious from the Two Whole Coconuts added to it. The Chicken was very Tender and Juicy. The Pickled Paper Bullfrog Pot was Spicy. The Frog tasted like chicken with A tender texture.Honey Walnut Shrimp had a Crispy Skin cover in Mayo. It was sweet and delicious. Sweet Sour Fried Pork had a crunchy skin with a sweet and sour taste. Also Fried Pork Ribs with Duck Egg Yolk, Orange Maki and Szechuan Steamed Pork Dumplings . Highly recommend to go

Yelp
I always feel like I'm walking into an old-school Chinese restaurant here at Circle, but the food is not old-school, at least not most of it! There's a Chinese side of the menu and a Japanese side, both are equally far ranging and delicious! On the Chinese side there' s a whole section of "Home Style" with pig kidneys popping up next to the spicy bean curd - you have to read the whole menu to appreciate the scope of what this kitchen can produce! I like to get a mix of sushi and a couple of Chinese dishes, like a Lo Mein or String Beans with Minced Pork- yum! Everything is delicious- I mean everything! You can eat in or get takeout, or local delivery with a small charge- the order arrives promptly and hot. I like this place a lot- it hits all the moods and never disappoints!

Aunquilla T.

Yelp
The place has a great menu and nice decor. I enjoyed the sushi roll and dumplings! I would say the service was cool nothing over the top! But I did enjoy the meal and vibes of the lounge!

Yelp
Cubist Circle has two locations: one in Weymouth and one in Brookline. The exterior of this restaurant might not look glamorous - but it's always fun to find hidden gems in the suburbs and Cubist Circle is definitely one of those gems. Food: Their menu is HUGE and offers a variety of dishes ranging from noodle, rice, soups, dumplings, to even sushi. Since they feature Szechuan cuisine, be mindful that many options are spicy. We ordered the following: 1) Dan Dan Noodle (spicy) 成都担担面 ($11.55) - 4/5, chewy noodles immersed in chili oil with minced pork on top 2) Beef Fried Rice with Pickled Mustard Green 酸菜肥牛炒饭 ($13.95) - 3/5, it was slightly too salty for me personally but overall still a very solid fried rice 3) Pea Pod Shoot with Garlic 蒜蓉豆苗 ($19.95) - 4/5, fresh and not too oily (I feel like this dish is simple yet tricky to master. I tend to order this dish as a staple every time I visit a Chinese restaurant just to see how they stir fry vegetables) 4) Chicken in Chili Oil 口水鸡 ($14.55) - 5/5, this is my favorite dish out of the five things we ordered. Very tender meat and refreshing as a cold appetizer. 5) Grilled Whole Fish in Tomato Sauce 番茄烤鱼 ($37.95) - 4/5, this was the main course of our meal - it came in a rectangular warmer. I wish I had ordered a bowl of white rice as well because this dish is perfect for that but I was too busy trying to finish all the other dishes. Environment: A very spacious environment for both large and small groups. Parking: There is a big parking lot available for customers. Overall, I would be interested in coming back again since their menu offers so many options!

Yelp
My second favorite Chinese restaurant on the South Shore. The food is excellent, the wait staff consistently friendly and helpful. The decor is unusual but I like it. The menu is terrific. The mainstream American Chinese food (General Gau, egg roll, chicken wings) met with approval from the less adventurous and the spicy, more down home Chinese was excellent. Dandan, dry pot cabbage, twice cooked beef, numb chicken, all excellent. I look forward to a fourth visit to try more dishes. A winner.

Yelp
Our family of 7 celebrated my mom's birthday this past week at Cubist Circle. Since we usually default to Cantonese cuisine for authentic Chinese, we thought this would be a great alternative. The restaurant was spacious and bright and they also have 2 additional bars in other rooms, one for drinks and another for sushi; plenty of space if you wanted to host an event here. Per our usual, we ordered too much food but that just means I can dish out a more comprehensive review! I love the varied menu and that it's part Szechuan cuisine and part sushi so there's something for everyone, especially since we were a larger party with picky kids. As starters, we ordered some maki rolls (spicy yellowtail, Winter and the salmon avocado), crab rangoons, vegetarian fried dumplings, steamed pork and leek dumplings and the Circle Crispy Duck. Not bad for the first round but I wouldn't say these were the highlight of our meal (3.5 stars for the sushi and 3 stars for the dumplings and the duck). The duck was a little dry and we're probably just spoiled with the dumplings we're used to eating in NY and I know it isn't fair to compare like that. The favorites of the day were D.7 fried pork rib with egg yolk, D.15 fish fillet with chili pepper and E.11 Circle lo mein. For the first two dishes, it was definitely our first time having it prepared this way and it surprised us how tasty it was. The fish fillet came with what looked like spaghetti on the sides and while I questioned it when it first came to the table, the flavors went well when mixed into the chili peppered fish. My daughter had the teriyaki chicken entree and gave it a seal of approval as evidenced with her very clean plate. All in all, a very welcome addition to the neighborhood and one of a kind in the South Shore for Szechuan cuisine - very authentic.

Yelp
Wow, finally found an authentic Chinese restaurant outside of Cambridge/Boston! I first found this place on Chowbus. Then read the reviews on Yelp and decided to give it a try. It's a stand alone building right across from BJs. It has a private parking lot. Behind the building has a construction that looks like a new apartment complex. We came right at opening on the weekend, so not crowded. The inside is very spacious. Not sure if the tables have been positioned to be socially distanced or always this way. There is a main dining hall, with a sushi bar to the left. Looks like a private dining room in the back as well. We chose the main booth on the side. The menu is rather expansive. It starts with the classic Sichuan/Chinese with Japanese options at the end. We ordered eggplant, crab Rangoon, string beans, beef & tripe, and dry pot. They are all so so good! My favorite is always the string beans. The eggplant was also delicious! Crab Rangoon comes with 8 pieces of generous serving size. I was simply blown away! Despite the spacious dining room and high ceiling, the indoor air quality was borderline acceptable ranging between CO2 level 700 - 1100 ppm. They don't have outdoor dining as of October 2022. The food is amazing. That being said, it's not "cheap." Better come with friends and share some dishes! I will definitely be back again! Highly recommend it!

Alyanna T.

Yelp
My partner and I ate the yam w blueberry sauce, beef brisket in clay pot w dried bean curd, cumin style lamb, Cubist Circle maki, and Romance maki - TASTE: 4/5 - everything felt authentically home cooked. Never had yam w blueberry sauce which was fun to try, and the brisket and tripe in the clay pot hit the spot. The cumin style lamb was our favorite: strong and spicy! Both the makis were great, including the hot sauce in the Cubist Circle and the avocado in the Romance TEXTURE: 4/5 - the yam had a crisp bite, and the cumin lamb had good chunks of onions and red bell peppers. Always rich and indulgent having cream cheese in sushi, in this case the Romance maki PRICE: 4/5 - the subtotal was $85, which was more than I expected SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - brought home some of the beef brisket and cumin lamb for leftovers SERVICE: 5/5 - we walked in at 5pm on a Sunday and, although we were only one of a couple other parties there, the takeout section was definitely busy, so certainly seems like a local hit. The staff was helpful w the menu and super friendly throughout our meal ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - unassuming exterior but nicely decorated inside, w a very large dining space, modern furniture, and nice decor PARKING: 5/5 - plenty of parking in Cubist Circle's dedicated lot

Yelp
This place is underrated! I've been eating here for years and it's always good. To get the choice of authentic Chinese food and sushi is amazing for me. Recently we've been stopping by more because it seems the owner/manager has been talkative and friendly with patrons, checking in to see how everything is, throwing out recommendations etc. I love when businesses make it feel personable while visiting their establishment! Nothing feels better than receiving good service, food and amazing hospitality! The atmosphere isn't what you'd expect it to be, but it is comfortable. I personally rather feel cold than hot while I'm eating and during the heat of this summer, I'm happy they have great AC as some restaurants don't. I sometimes bring a hoodie coming here, but I love it that way because it's super comfortable for me- I get hot and cold easily :)

Harry L.

Yelp
Located in Weymouth, MA. This location had many businesses going in and out, most of them were so-so, until now, Cubist Circle, if you are a dan of spicy dishes, this place is a must visit. They do have non spicy dishes as well but the spicy dishes is a must try. Staffed by friendly workers and the restaurant was super clean. Every dish was bursting with flavors that will make you want more and more. Highly recommended

David R.

Yelp
I ordered the beef teriyaki and it was cold as well as the toughest piece of meat I ever tasted. The Boston sushi roll was excellent. Service was fast but the teriyaki left much to be desired.

Marcelle ..

Yelp
So delicious and quick delivery - will definitely order from there again. The maki was fresh and tasty. As well as the miso soup.

An L.

Yelp
The food was ok, we personally prefer some of the options in Quincy center like Chili Square. 1 star because both my husband and I got stomach upset afterwards, so probably either the food hygiene or the food ingredients not being fresh. The place is huge with nice ambiance. Service is a bit slow, it did take a while to get all of our dishes served.

Raj P.

Yelp
Food was okay, not that great, and service was very poor she forgot to bring few things had to ask her several times, and one item she never brought till we finished eating!

Charlie V.

Yelp
The menu is full of unique items . Schezuan style, spicy peppercorn flavors on family style dishes. Cons : I wasn't a big fan of the sushi, I don't really like how the restaurant is set up, it's a big open floor and it feels kinda cold. The bar has a couple of TVs and it can get real quiet and ackward inside with no music or even volume on the TV. Pros: the fried salt and pepper dishes were good, the menu was had a lot of interesting dishes that you couldn't get in a lot of Chinese restaurants. The staff was friendly, but after eating there a few times, I prefer take out from there.

Steven W.

Yelp
Really impressed with the selection of authentic Chinese food at Cubist Circle. I am thrilled to have found this hidden gem as in the South Shore area is harder to find good quality Asian foods. Portions are great and you feel as if it is your grandparent's cooking (if your grandparents cook well :) ). Very homey feeling and the restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere with the good wait staff. The spicy dumplings were a favorite, along with beef and leeks. They handmake their dumplings. I will also say they do a good variety on blending Americanized Chinese food with traditional, which is a good win for all.

Kathy K.

Yelp
The food here was a great option for Asian food in the area! The staff was super helpful and welcoming, but the atmosphere/decor felt confusing/random. I would definitely recommend for takeout.

Jessica B.

Yelp
YUM. I'm happy this place opened. The menu is extensive, much larger than your average Chinese food place. There is sure to be something for everyone! My husband and I ordered the pork dumplings, the "hot sauce style" chicken, california maki and spicy tuna rolls. Everything was delicious. The pork dumplings are so soft and comforting with great flavor. We honestly didn't know what to expect when ordering the hot sauce chicken, but we were pleasantly surprised. The "sauce" was more like a spicy soup, but we loved it! The spicy flavor was enough to taste the spice without being overwhelming (in my opinion). It was served with a side of white rice, which we put into the "sauce" so it can be absorbed. I've never had anything like this and I really enjoyed it. You can tell they use good quality ingredients. I can't wait to come back and try new things!

Aaron K.

Yelp
Excellent food. Wonderful and flavorful fried rice that was seasoned well. The General Gau's chicken had a wonderful homemade sauce. Chicken was juicy and crispy. I will be going back for more.

Abigail S.

Yelp
This is some of the best szechuan cuisine food I've had. I will be back soon. I brought a big group and the Weymouth spot is so big that there was no issue. They also recently updated the downstairs so that folks can rent it out for events. Service is really good. Get the soups and the fried rice!

debi c.

Yelp
True; Food is fabulous as well as the service and ambiance. Only wish you'd bring back live music!!

Smanee p.

Yelp
We're looking for real Asian food around south shore and finally we found it. Very good Asian Cuisine and more authentic taste. Specifically Lunch Portions and Pice very reasonable Thanks you for opening up here.

Eric L.

Yelp
Girlfriend and I love the food here. Matter of fact, everyone we've brought here has had good things to say about this place that says a lot. We're regulars here because of their consistently good food and exceptional customer service.

Christine F.

Yelp
I don't say this often, but I would bring my mom to this Chinese restaurant LOL. The flavors are so good! The salted egg yolk ribs are unique and done so well! They're fried, and taste delicious. Everything else is good too! The Dan Dan noodles are TOO spicy. And the chili dumplings are really good too. For dessert, highly recommend the mountain yam or the ice jelly!

Edward W.

Yelp
I would give this place a 3.5 stars. My brother and I have tried this place a couple of times. The interior was pretty spacious. Their menu consists of mostly spicy dishes. We tried the scrambled egg with tomato, spicy wontons and yu hsian eggplant. The tomato and eggplant dishes were pretty good but the wontons were mediocre. Service was also average.

Peter P.

Yelp
Very authentic Chinese dishes with a varied menu. Service was attentive and the dining space was very clean. The restaurant does have a lot of empty space and high ceilings that cause sound to echo with large parties.

M W.

Yelp
Went for lunch and ordered a couple of the lunch specials. The specials came with soup and rice. The miso soup was o.k. but another thick soup (don't know the name) tasted horrible. It was so pasty...I guess because too much thickener (corn starch?) was used. The lunch specials were disappointing. The very small portions served were overly breaded and overcooked. The server was not very friendly and seemed annoyed when asked questions about the menu, even though it was not busy. Overall we were not impressed and next lunch or dinner out will chose to spend our money elsewhere.

Steven C.

Yelp
Food: I can't comment what I haven't tried. I came here for the grill whole fish which I use to benchmark their cooking. I would say it is average such that it's okay and authentically average, not comparable to what I had in some other places. Service: can't complain, I got everything I needed. Setting: it wasn't crowded when I came so it feels really nice. The tables are far apart which is a positive, because I hate it when I can hear other ppl conversation and have mine being heard so easily. Overall I would say this place deserves a 4 in my book. Cooking needs some level of improvement if it wants to be able to be competitive to the ones in the city. I would say food is 3/5, and service and setting is 5/5.

Yelp
I've seen photos of this restaurant on IG for quite some time and the reviews were quite positive. So, I was excited to try it out. I went on a Saturday during peak dinner hours and surprisingly, it was dead. The function room downstairs was blasting music loudly like a nightclub and the quiet dining room couldn't contain the noise. The decor is clean and simple. The service was okay. Foodwise, I was not impressed. It does its job but there was nothing too special about it. The snow mountain maki has a shrimp tempura in it and it was over fried so it was not too enjoyable. The sweet and sour pork was hard. I think they might have fried it first to prepare for a busy night and then refry it when ordered, causing the batter to harden. The Dan Dan Noodle was the only dish I liked. There's a lot more tastier Chinese restaurants nearby to choose from like South Garden in Quincy which is approximately 10 minutes away.

Yelp
Food was excellent! We had crab rangoon, pork & cabbage fried dumplings, the beef brisket hot pot and orange chicken with veggie fried rice. Everything was hot, flavorful, and generous portions. Service was great, but the ambiance is lacking. The main dining room is quite loud because its all hard-surfaces and they have no noise-absorbing panels or carpet, etc.

Yelp
Circle restaurant is an Asian fusion restaurant combined with Sichuan and sushi. The menu had a lot of variety of selections. We came here for lunch and we mainly focusing on ordering appetizers. We ordered salt & pepper chicken wings, taro roll, wontons in chili oil, fried rice cake with sugar, yam with blueberry sauce, sugar ice jelly, and pickled cucumber with garlic. Wontons in chili oil are okay, not the best since I only can taste the chili oil, no other flavors like other restaurants. Chicken wings are high recommended, huge portion and deep flavors. Yam with blueberry sauce is unique because that the yam was cut into fries size with blueberry sauce pour on top. I had this in another restaurant and they mashed the yam instead. We ordered the sauteed corn with duck yolk which is not overly fried and oily, it's savory and crispy. We ordered the rice noodle which I don't really enjoyed because too much pepper in the soup. I wanted to order sea spoon but uni was unavailable, so I ended ordering seafood tower and kamikaze, which both are good especially the seafood tower. Overall, nice atmosphere, great service, and presentation but some items are overpriced. I really want to order the stewed pork trotters with crystalized sugar for take-out but it is way too expensive. It is cheaper to purchase pork trotters at a Korean restaurant. The prices for the pork feet and trotters here expensive. I can buy a lot at the market and cook it myself. I probably will come back again if I have some kind of craving... I really want to try squirrel mandarin fish if I am coming here for dinner next time.

Yelp
Highly recommend if you want authentic Szechuan cuisine. They also have sushi but did not try it this time. Definitely next time. Restaurant is refreshing decorated. Open with plenty of space between tables. Brightly lit and clean. Walked in and was immediately seated. Menus are easy to read with plenty of photos. We ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings and wantons in chili oil for appetizers and the Szechuan fish filet, mapo tofu, Dan Dan noodles and beef brisket in clay pot. All were cooked perfectly with the right of heat (spice). Sizable to share and absolutely delicious. Plenty for doggy bags. Big plus is ample parking in their own parking lot. No need to fight traffic's or drive around in search for parking. Again, highly recommend Cubist Circle Restaurant. Will definitely return to try the other items on their menu.

Yelp
Best Asian cuisine on the south shore...especially if you like things spicy. This place also has a super cool ambience. Me and my family keep on coming back. Best part is, every single member of their staff is beyond friendly.

Yelp
The waitress is slow and came out casually with our birthday cake still in the friggin box and plates !! Drinks are weak af and food is mediocre. Lights too bright and terrible environment. Plates are dirty and water tasted like sewer water. The health dept should come check them. Avoid at all costs.

Yelp
I don't do this often but this place is a five star! This cute hidden gem in Weymouth has AFFORDABLE rolls that are AMAZING! This place is what Asian fusion is all about. Menu is big but very clear and well formatted with great choices without being overwhelming, and lots of yummy looking vegetarian options. The service was great and the food was excellent. Classic Asian fusion at a great price! Will be back and 100% recommend! This is my new sushi spot!

Yelp
I only tried a few dishes this time. Didn't like any of them. Very good presentation , Bland flavor. Cold noodle does not taste like authentic flavor at all. More like American Chinese dish. While fish in chilly oil looked so good. But bland tasting. Would go back there to try more dishes tho because I see many mainlanders eating there. So I believe there must be something good. Big thumbs up for the quick service. Very efficient. Feels like back in china. Ps: i grew up in Sichuan.

Yelp
DELICIOUS! Went here because my friend was craving Chinese food for her birthday. Photos looked good on their website so thought we'd give it a try. Parking lot was full but when we walked in the restaurant was pretty empty?? This worried us a little, but all worries we're diminished once the food came. WOW! We ordered: sweet & sour soup, veggie fried rice, chicken lo mien, beef broccoli, orange chicken, the cube sushi roll, and a sweet potato maki roll (for 4 people). SO SO GOOD! Absolutely cured the itch for Chinese food and we enjoyed every bite. The orange chicken was my favorite, full bites of chicken, not too much breading, and the sauce was flavorful and not too overpowering orange flavor. Kick of heat too. Delicious. They even brought two slices of yummy crepe cake out and sang 'happy birthday' to my friend. The waitresses were very kind. Overall, great experience. Will 100% be returning!

Yelp
While they have a great selection of food choices that cover the major Asian countries like a pan-Asian restaurant. The issue like other establishments that have a similar theme. While yes they have all the favorites, and they all taste well decent I guess. It's feels like they know a little bit of everything but not really being a specialist in cooking that cuisine, so the taste doesn't really stand out on anything, other than when my friends say, while do they use Japanese Panko on a Chinese dish or something Chinese in a Thai dish. It just doesn't sit right and at times doesn't taste right either, especially if they think that this is their way of fusion, it feels more like they didn't want a carry a huge inventory so they chose to combine certain things and that's the result. While not bad, it's definitely not all that great either.
