Terrible experience from start to finish.
I bought glasses from Cubitts in January 2024 which worked fine. When I went back in 2025 wanting something very similar, the process completely fell apart. I was bounced between the Soho and Coal Drops Yard stores, had an eye test in August followed by retests in November and January, and each time the prescriptions changed significantly. I was repeatedly sold lenses that went against what I explicitly said I wanted, and the results were dizziness, blurred vision, and glasses I couldn’t use.
After months of emails, store visits, and time off work, refunds were eventually agreed. However, my original 2024 frames had been sent in for re-lensing and when I cancelled the order, they were returned to me with one lens missing and a broken hinge. These were perfectly serviceable glasses when I handed them over. Cubitts have now left me with a broken pair of frames and still haven’t resolved or refunded that.
For comparison, I went to Boots Opticians in Camden. One visit. A thorough eye test. The optometrist actually listened, explained my prescription properly, and gave me lenses that work for my eyes. The glasses were cheaper than Cubitts, the frames and lenses are better quality, and the whole experience was professional and straightforward.
Cubitts wasted months of my time, mishandled my property, and failed to deliver even a basic outcome.
Go elsewhere.
