The restaurant offers an array of pizza choices, ranging from a customizable option to house favorites like the Capri pizza, which is topped with mozzarella, figs, arugula, prosciutto, and a balsamic glaze." - J. Cocina Morena was clean and nicely decorated, with a welcoming atmosphere. The food and service were good, but the drinks were excellent. The happy hour was a real highlight and definitely worth checking out.

Today we hosted a luncheon for our daughter’s graduation from physical Therapy, and we were delighted with the service and food quality for our 45 guests. The manager Juan, servers and bus staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone enjoyed the celebration — from appetizers, to main course, desserts and drinks, everything was prepared to perfection and everyone had a great time. Over the years we’ve had many family gatherings in a variety of different restaurants, and this one tops the list as one of the best ever. Many thanks to the entire team at Cucina Moderna in Boynton Beach!

We went for the w weekend breakfast/brunch. Although the food was good, in my opinion, it was overpriced for what we ordered. My husband had the omelet which came with thick sliced bacon but the portion was rather small and it didn't come with toast. I had two eggs over easy but it came with only one slice of bread which I shared with my husband. However, the did give us a small round of focaccia bread when we first sat down. Our waitress was very nice and efficient.

Strike #1, Fool me once. Shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on you. Our 1st time dining there: Our "hot" entreès were cold, and the cheese was coagulated. The "Sunday " sauce consisted of can peeled tomatoes shucked into a blender with a cup of sugar. Management offered us a comped entree. Perhaps they're having a bad day. Well, we accepted the $25. Our second attempt at a reservation reinforced our gut feeling. 45 minutes to be seated. Once seated, we ordered cocktails, 25 minutes later, the waitress asked where our drinks were? She finally brought up cocktails, which were rancid and never replaced. When we tried to leave, they finally brought the bill....We once again offered free cocktails. This business has a happy hour from 12:30 to 7:30 pm. This pub is about liquor. Most patrons order & pick. Management values alcohol over food. Also, the entrees were bait & switch. 2 shrimp, menu shows 3

Food was delicious. We didn't have a reservation but got seated immediately. Would come again.

Google
This is probably the worst dining experience I've had in a long time. The service is practically non-existent, the dishes are fairly well-prepared and it's clear the kitchen is trying, but the dining area is dirty, the waitstaff are unpleasant, and they simply forget about the drinks and dishes we ordered. The overall atmosphere suffers as a result.

Went there last night with friends. The service was very good. Never had to ask for water. The waitress kept coming over to our table to ask how the food was and if we needed anything else. We all had chicken dishes and they were all delicious. We topped off our meal with cappuccinos that were excellent and a chocolate hot lava cake with caramel salty gelato that was to die for. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Went to dinner with a friend in a Tuesday. What a treat! They have a one man singer, who sings beautifully in Italian ; Mamma Mia!!! Love him I had salad & eggplant parm. The eggplant was Belisimo, the sauce not so much ( sauce needed garlicky & Basil) their average customer is 70+ , so they have to go easy on the spices. My friend had the chicken & it was good. They serve their own version of bread, It's soft ( not Belisimo) with olive oil. Crusted Italian bread or the traditional pizza rolls would have been much better. The restaurant is located in a large shopping mall, so parking is not an issue. On Friday they have a D. J. Will come back.

Yelp
Do not waste your money or time in this dump! $18 for a lousy pour of Kettle One? $16 for under a shot of Bullit bourbon! The food is of poor quality. Caesar salad tasted like it came from a bag at Target, down the street. We get better Caesar dressing at Costco or even Wal mart. The pizza is advertised as crispy. It was soggy and had little to no cheese. Very poor quality. The bartenders are clueless and the manager (at Boynton Beach location) is rude and inattentive. There's no reason to go to this less than mediocre place. Plenty of alternatives in the area!

Michael S.

Yelp
Hopped in here after shopping at Winn Dixie. Was waiting on a buddy to get home, so I stopped in for a few Heinekens. I went to yelp and liked the CM Pizza pics so I ordered a 12" wheat to go. First off, the bartender Maleika(sorry if wrong spelling) was the star of my experience. Very engaging and very pleasant. Made this rainy day more bright! Definitely will stop in to chat again. Secondly, when I took a bite of the pizza, omg goodness. Definitely the best pizza I've tried in years! 5 stars for Maleika 5 stars for the pie

Yelp
What a nice place to come, and have lunch with Mya as your waitress, very tentative and so is the rest off the staff, great food and relaxed. Great Admizfier

Salvatore M.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick lunch. Was surprised to see they serve brunch and happy hour Saturday and Sunday until 3pm. Had us some happy houser drinks then split a medium pizza margarita. Well I have to say I was impressed with the pizza. Cooked perfect not burnt on the bottom was cooked perfectly. I think I found a new pizza/Italian restaurant. I will come back and try the dinners. We sat at the bar inside. They have outside bar seating and along the side of the restaurant outdoor seating with ceiling fans. The service was great. Although not busy I'm sure they pack up for dinner. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. Bartender was extremely relaxed and friendly made for an excellent lunch. A++

Yelp
We decided to give it another try, (this time I didn't watch the bread handler) We had 2 veal dishes that were only average tasting, sauce on the side dish of pasta was lacking any flavor... salad was good..as was the complimentary gelato... Too bad, .............there are so many better Italian restaurants

Vi R.

Yelp
Bruh! Pasta is 1.50 per llb . Skimpy portions . Even if you limit the protein, give a big pasta portion. Italian restaurant with small portions, embarrassing. Tasty though. Bread is horrible.

Howard F.

Yelp
A pleasant Italian restaurant with some good early-bird specials ("sunset"), of which we availed ourselves. Everybody liked their various parms (veal, eggplant and chicken), the linguine with white clam sauce, and the chicken piccata. My father in law believes their bar makes the best lemon drop. Sadly, it is wickedly cold in Florida this week, and the side sliding door opens to the outside patio every minute or two when someone walks by or through, making the restaurant subject to regular cold wind inside. (I assume that makes it miserable in serious outdoor heat as well).

Sharleen S.

Yelp
Spectacular place for a family dinner or a special occasion. From the bread to the mozzarella sticks to the amazing entrees and desserts, DELICIOUS. We had the short rib ravioli and gnocchi pesto, both outstanding. Service was a little slow, especially the bar, but it was terrible. We ended up getting dessert: zeppoli and coffee gelato and OMG the zeppoli was yummy and they give you A LOT. we came here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and the vibe was perfect. We will be back to try more food.

Jody B.

Yelp
Love their food. Sooo good. Ambiance is busy and a bit noisy but feels energetic. Always enjoy it. Ty!

Shawn N.

Yelp
Three members of my party were up all night vomiting after eating their "sunset menu" and kids menu around 4:30pm yesterday. No one ate anything in common, possibly salad? Or the marinara sauce? The other 3 members are so far unaffected so we aren't confirmed the cause was this place but we won't be back. Oh, and our waiter was so low energy, he obviously doesn't like working there. I wish I got his name. The waiter almost didn't let us make a change to a dish asking for no cheese but after asking for the manager he said he usually doesn't allow it but will for us. So don't go there expecting to make a modification to your order and getting it done either.

Marc K.

Yelp
A great new gem in West Boynton Beach! Rarely do I give 5 stars on a first visit. The place is modern quality at its best. A great early bird special menu or as they call call it "sunset menu". Everyone's entrees were delicious and came salad and creamy gelato choices. Service was on point. Highly recommend. The inside outside bar looks wonderful as well.

Andrea U.

Yelp
Local Italian restaurant in the cobblestone shopping center with lots of outdoor dining. They have an early bird special and happy hour specials. Tonight we're meeting another couple and they have a DJ. Angelina our waitress took good care of us. Usual Italian menu I enjoyed my eggplant Parmesan with spaghetti on the side. My husband ate half of his pepperoni sausage pizza; it was much too salty for me. Our friends enjoyed their chicken and mahi-mahi dishes. Everything was good and the prices were reasonable, $25 a person.

Leon H.

Yelp
Food, ambience, and service always A plus here. Love the Pizza and love the bar area.

Kymberly E.

Yelp
I love this local spot! The appetizers are my favorite! The shrimp toast is amazing! The drinks are always great! There is a beautiful blonde bartender and her energy radiates through the place! I love the outdoor seating as well and DJ on Friday nights!!

Kathy F.

Yelp
In our group of 7, most everyone liked their food. You only get 4 raviolis with the ravioli dish and you can definitely eat more. There could have been more sauce on the meatballs with linguine. The pizza was delicious and I loved my Chicken Francese but ordered with angel hair pasta. We sat outside and the fans are Very strong and will blow very hard onto your Heads so we unplugged ours, making it much better. Even though I made some harsh comments, I would definitely go

Patty W.

Yelp
A solid 3 for me. I met a group of friends and we had a nice visit during the time we were there. We sat in the outside covered patio area and the weather was pleasant considering it's almost summer. It took a while to figure out what we wanted off of the menu since there were so many good choices. I had a glass of moscato and a white sangria. Both were refreshing and did the trick. The fettuccine carbonara has peas, prosciutto, shallots, egg yolk, and cream and it was surprisingly bland. I think it could have used more spices to make it a little more flavorful. Even though they were busy, the service was good. Our waiter didn't rush us and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The bill was separated on our own tabs and we were able to pay through the kiosk the waiter had. I wouldn't mind coming back to try it out again. Maybe it'll be better luck with the food next time.

Rosa R.

Yelp
Place is nice but I wish they would update their food selection to include lamb chops steaks etc

Yelp
I had dinner at this Cucina Moderna on Wednesday evening. What a treat it was! The staff was incredibly kind - especially our waiter, Tyler. (I'[m pretty sure that was his name). Absolutely any request we had was met with a smile and graciousness. The food was unbelievable. I had the sword fish - I had it for lunch the next day as well since there was such a large portion - AND - that was on the sunset menu where you get salad and gelato included! Wednesday was a great day to go - unbeknownst to us, Wednesday is 1/2 price bottles of wine - whoohoo! I have eaten at the other Cucina Moderna in Wellington and enjoyed the food but not like this. I had a bite of some pasta with red sauce - my favorite - but was a little unimpressed with that as the sauce was pretty bland. Perhaps that's why I wasn't enthused by the other Cucina - I ordered something with red sauce - I guess I'll go back and give it another try if I'm in Wellington. The one in Boynton has a much larger seating area - both in and out. Good food, good service, good ambience and great friends makes for a wonderful evening!

Yelp
Our party was made up of 5 persons. Food was good except for the temperature of two our main dishes which was room temperature and it was lasagna. Our server was Madison K and she was completely detached from what proper service is. She took over 15 minutes before she even approached our table after we sat down. The appetizers arrived 10 minutes later and I had to ask her for utensils and napkins. After the food arrived, we didn't see her again until it was time to pay and I had to asked her for the bill as she passed by. No manager ever came to our table to see if all was alright I made my living as a waiter in the past, so I tip when I great service. Based in our experience, I reduced it to 10% and one my daughters said they witnessed Madison making faces at us with the manager next to her. Immature behavior and service, opposed to servicing the customer, so I won't be back as I have always loved their food. This was it!!!!

Audrey L.

Yelp
We took our children here for dinner this time and we sat at the front outside patio. It was a delightful night. We could see the TV and the tables were nicely spaced. The grandchildren were given the Children's menu and each ordered their own pizza. They had puzzles and crayons to keep them busy prior to the food coming. Service was excellent. There were specials also offered. I ordered the fish platter with linguine- salmon, flounder and swordfish. Tasted great. This was a very nice dinner experience and we will be certain to return again.

Mel N.

Yelp
I don't understand why this platform is crowded. Food was barely edible, service meant you had to literally ask for Everything! Chicken parmigiana was not even a breast of chicken, but a chicken meat patty! The sauce was plain tomato sauce. There is a real shortage of decent restaurants in Boynton Beach

Holly N.

Yelp
I thought I would try this place again after a year- and again- same review from me. I wanted to get something to eat, I was one person and asked if I could have a corner somewhere....They told me the only place they could seat me would be outside... I said I can't.....it's too hot .. I asked the hostess if she was sure that There was not one seat for me in the restaurant in a corner- she looked down, looked back up at me and said no she had nothing. I said thank you and walked out...It was just after 5 PM and there were a lot of seats in the restaurant... I walked out and picked up some thing from Winn-Dixie. It's a Thursday- just after 5 - not even tourist season!

Paula T.

Yelp
POOR POOR service. We usually sit at the bar, but that being full we were seated at a booth. After 15 min being ignored a young busser came over and gave us water. Another 5-10 min we waited and no service! We went to the hosted and asked if someone was going to take our drink and food order??Another five minutes later a busser and offer bread, which we did not want. FINALLY the manager came by our table and assigned it to a server. At this point with no drink or food orders taken we voiced that we were leaving. The manager asked what pizza we wanted "to go" and after another 5 min . he shoved a pizza at us (for free) and sent us on our way! This restaurant is more interested in giving away free food than providing good service. A free small pizza is worthy more to them than a bottle of wine, an appetizer and two entrees! Do not think we will be returning here again. SOOOO many better places nearby that we will go to, Such a shame!!

Dennis H.

Yelp
My wife and I ate there Saturday night and it started off with a fantastic server named Colleen. She was so pleasant and upbeat and helped us with a few questions about the menu. I ordered the Fettuccine Carbonara which I have never had there. It was so good I forgot to take a picture before I started eating. I will definitely be ordering that dish again. My wife ordered the Chicken Valdastana which she had never had before. She said it was out of this world and would order it again also. It looked so good I'm going to get that next time we're there. I highly recommend this restaurant and it wasn't our first time there as we've been going for many years and will continue to do so.

Mike U.

Yelp
Exceptional Italian dinner with friend's. Happy hour daily till 6:30 daily at the bar. There is also outdoor dining available if you desire. My wife had the eggplant Parmesan and I had their pepperoni and sausage pizza. All was very good! Angelina our waitress was on point with her recommendations, attentive, and enthusiastic. Prices were reasonable as well. Would definitely go back.

Steven M.

Yelp
This restaurant is so inconsistent. very rarely did I get a excellent meal here. plus, very overpriced. I now go to the best restaurant in Delray it's called Ninos great early bird -super Serves' reg prices are reasonable food is never bad. next is portabella in Boynton, best Pizza anywhere, very good early bird, Beter pricing great linguini in white claim sauce with 2 dozen real claims. other dishes are okay but Ninos is better, both these restaurants are way superior to C Moderna.

Doreen H.

Yelp
We had a reservation inside at 5:15 for party of 5 on a Sunday evening. Stuck in traffic so we called to let them know we were running late. We showed up only about 5 minutes late and there was no table for us inside. We were told about 15 minute wait. The hostess was very Matter of Fact, not very apologetic and never smiled. We were finally seated 35 minutes after arriving. The food was good but the service was extremely slow. Lots of wait time between dinner and dessert and getting our checks. In total we were there almost 3 hours. If a business cannot accommodate a reservation then they should not take one.

E A.

Yelp
Terrible experience & won't return due to bad service & very mediocre food Too many better places

linda s.

Yelp
Very good food and service. Huge portions, great early bird. Beautiful restaurant. Manager is always checking to make sure customers are happy.

Susan R.

Yelp
Outdoor dining is divine at Cucina Moderna however that's about the only positive thing i can say. The food was just so-so, served lukewarm to cold. They did not acknowledge the specific request made by our friend, so he had to wait while they cooked him a new serving while we all were eating. It seemed as though things were out of control. Perhaps they are short of staff. It was a Friday night and the restaurant was fully booked. I'll give them another try perhaps mid-week.

Denise T.

Yelp
I was very disappointed. As you entered the smell was amazing, later to find out it was the pizza. The waitress asked 3 times what I ordered before she walked away from the table, The stars are for the chicken parm, it was juicy on the down side it was warm at best, The sauce tasted like tomato sauce out of the can, very bland. The appetizer: calamari and shrimp, was very good, as was the bread that comes to the table. All during dinner my friend and I were swatting away nats! The waitress never asked if we wanted coffee and I didnt bother asking, guessing she wouldnt remember anyway Will I go back, not likely

Julie F.

Yelp
We had a wonderful lunch here! If you sit at the bar, you can get specially priced "bar bites" from 11 am to 6:30 pm. So sit at the bar/counter which is open on one side to their outside patio. If you must sit outside, then sit on that side of the bar. There are a number of choices on the bar bites menu. The only item I'd say to skip are their pizzas. There are three types listed, but although we didn't eat them, they didn't look like something we'd love. Two different couples at the bar had ordered one each to share. Each couple had only eaten one slice and left the rest. Just saying. We on the other hand ordered their meatball sliders with Parmesan. Three small ones to an order -- and they were very good, and hot and cooked all the way through. Perfect to share. In addition to the sliders, we got their burrata and prosciutto. It came with a thick balsamic glaze drizzled over it. As my friend would say, the "good stuff". The fresh burrata was creamy and oozed out on cutting. The thinly sliced slightly salty prosciutto ham was a perfect pairing with the creamy cheese. Another good sharing dish. And yes, accept the warm focaccia bread (its comp) while you are waiting to order. It goes well with the burrata dish you are going to order later. They also had a number of drink specials at the bar. Happy hour prices during lunch. The booze part is wasted on me, cheap date that I am as I hardly drink. But my husband took advantage of a Tito's vodka special with the mix of your choice. He had a refreshing vodka and grapefruit cocktail. Our server/bartender was very nice. And it was a relaxing, enjoyable and tasty visit.

Kelly C.

Yelp
Beautiful location and interior décor. Located in a plaza with plenty of parking and other dining options. Very friendly staff and for someone who doesn't care for Italian food I was impressed with this location. Once seated... You have to take a moment to appreciate the décor. The high ceiling. The details above and art. We sat in a booth and enjoyed our bread while looking around. Most were seated at the bar enjoying a drink. You can see outside from inside the restaurant which is nice. The bread is made in-house and is DELICIOUS! Menu... Lots of options for pizzas, desserts, and of course pasta. We decided to go with the CM chicken pasta, I think it called. After the waitress described it I thought it would be worth trying. We shared the plate and it was plenty for us. We went for lunch and the prices are more reasonable then. They also have gelatos for dessert. I think we ended up choosing a brownie with vanilla icecream. Next time we go, I am definitely going to try their gelato. Our dessert was good, but not gelato good.

Catherine M.

Yelp
This place is HOPPING! Food was terrific, the service by waiter AZ was outstanding!! Be prepared to wait if you go during prime time however. The atmosphere is busy. You can sit outside or inside. The tiramisu was so delicious.

Rabia J.

Yelp
First dining experience of 2021 and it was a lovely one. I recently went here for my nephews bday and liked everything that we tried. The server was awesome and so was the chef who checked on us to see if we liked our meal. Very personable and nice dining. This location is fairly new and is in West Boynton Beach. Things I tried and liked. -Baked Ziti - cooked to perfection. - Penne Al vodka - nice and creamy. - Fettuccine Alfredo- flavorful and rich. - Margarita Pizza - Amazing, one of the best pizzas I ate in Florida. This restaurant is so close to my home and plan to go back sooner than later. The decor is contemporary and so cute with chandeliers etc.

Linda M.

Yelp
Service outstanding! Managers are very friendly and helpful. Love Estela the hostess as well. Will make it convenient for you to enjoy. The food...have never had anything we didn't like. Wine bottles are half off on Wednesdays. If you haven't been you must go!

Andrea K.

Yelp
We've dined at Cucina Moderna 3 times and the food is consistently delicious, service is friendly and helpful. Added note: they have a Gelato bar and their Gelato is "to-die-for@!!!

Ashley S.

Yelp
Made reservations on a slow day for 5 people. They gave us a small booth with an extra chair even though there was plenty of space. The server seemed annoyed, was horrible and inattentive, had to ask repeatedly for an order that was never brought out. We were there for the sunset menu, but never got offered any soft drink, coffee or gelato. Horrible customer service. Completely empty and they had the dishes piling up on our table. The food is not authentic Italian and mediocre. The drinks are disgusting. To top it off you can smell the trash and there's so many flies that you can't even enjoy your food. I asked for a table fan which they brought out and later took away to give to another table without even asking us. I will never step foot in this establishment again! Giving this place two stars for the bread and olive oil.

Renee S.

Yelp
This has been our go to since they opened. However, went today for Fathers Day brunch. I ordered a typical breakfast of eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast, coffee and juice. Coffee and cream arrived. No spoon to stir. Ok, so I used a fork. Meal arrived barely warm. Toast was cold and without any butter. Asked for butter and was brought FROZEN butter for my cold toast. C'mon. Toast and butter are so easy. Called the waitress over who was very sweet although not very attentive. Was never asked if I would like more coffee. That's a no brainer. Shortly a manager or maybe one of the owners came to our table asking how everything was. I told him about my very basic expectation of hoping for toast and room temp butter at the very least. Not frozen that can't even be spread on my toast. He tried to explain it away by saying, we have to keep in cooler...I then asked why they couldn't butter it right away before they brought it out. "This is how we do it...etc". Not even an apology. This is no exaggeration. Butter was frozen solid! I still love the restaurant but will never go again for breakfast. Go elsewhere, like next door. It's no wonder First Watch was packed next door. But, by all means go for lunch or dinner.

Ricky D.

Yelp
I had to be out west (and whoa is this place out west) and my mother's friends recommended this restaurant. The Italian-American food was okay at best and awful at worst. Salads were as basic as possible but served in nice plates and bread was complimentary. The staff work really hard and I certainly appreciate their efforts. A Chicken dish tasted as if it was fried in either cheap or used oil and as such was not worth eating and overcooked pasta was just an afterthought thrown on the plate. A Pesto with Shrimp was drowning in sauce and the shrimp were far from fresh. It seems like management is banking on the Early Bird Specials and the retirees who frequent this establishment and that's fine (and nice actually) but the food is sub-standard and it's really no bargain if quality is sacrificed for cost savings. The restaurant was crowded and the locals seem to like it and good for them, so maybe the restaurant is just not for me.

Anne Z.

Yelp
The food is always good. A bit pricey. They could serve a salad with the meal. Very stingy with the gelato. Very small scoop. Best deal--sunset menu. Sometimes very noisy.

Richard S.

Yelp
Decided to try this fairly new Italian restaurant which has two other locations. very nice interior with two large outside seating areas. Our server was great. The food on the other hand is just average, especially since there are a lot of other Italian restaurants. My wife ordered the Healthy Nut Salad, arugula, baby romaine, candied pecans, strawberries, mango, shaved red onions, corn, cherry tomatoes, and avocado with a Tuscan citrus Vinaigrette to share, interesting. For mains, she tried the Chicken Valdastana, Prosciutto, provolone, marsala, mushrooms, and parmigiana rosemary roasted potatoes, she optd for pasta instead of the potatoes. She thought it was just fair. I ordered the Med Seafood Pasta Bowl, Wild shrimp, little neck clams, calamari, and chorizo over linguine with a white wine seafood broth. Just ok.

Yelp
We've dined at Cucina Moderna several times and have had delicious meals. As noted in my previous review, the service can be hit or miss. But what about happy hour, you may be wondering? To provide our fellow Yelpers (and the drinking public) with as much information as possible about local establishments, this review is specifically about our happy hour experience at Cucina Moderna on Lyons. The bar area is nicely set up with both outdoor and indoor seating along a bright open-air bar. The happy hour menu consists of a subset of the restaurant's appetizers at a slightly discounted price. Similarly, the drink offerings are a subset of the full menu with prices discounted by $1 or $2. The wine list included several options but the beer list was fairly limited with very few local and craft beers on tap. A bit disappointing. We selected a few beers tried the truffle fries. After an extended wait (our order was mistakenly given to another couple seated at the bar... see previous comments about service flaws at this restaurant), our big basket of fries arrived. They were tasty but the parmesan cheese that was supposed to be on the fries mostly fell to the bottom of the basket. And the aioli seemed to be missing altogether. Conclusion: eat dinner at Cucina Moderna but find other options for happy hour.

Yelp
This is a great Italian restaurant! It's spacious and furnished very nicely. The staff is very accommodating and friendly and the food is delicious with generous portions and entrees are fairly priced. They have indoor and patio dining and also a huge bar. There is a sunset special ( early bird) I highly recommend this restaurant. U can also select scoops of gelato!

Yelp
Food is solidly good but not over the top. Still, you get a reliably good meal. Service and staff are TOP NOTCH. Great place for West Boynton!

Yelp
Since we've previously enjoyed the food at Cucina Moderna, we invited two other couples to join us for dinner on the restaurant's patio. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, the excellent service and the nice al fresco ambiance. Because the patio is covered and has retractable screens, we weren't bothered at all by the downpour. We arrived in time for the "sunset dinner" (aka early bird, available until 6 pm). For this deal, Cucina Moderna offers several of their entrees at the regular price and they add a salad (house or Caesar's), soft drink or coffee, and a scoop of gelato. The fresh, flavorful focaccia bread accompanied by olive oil was a great start to the meal. Fantastic! Our dinner selections included: chicken parmesan, lasagna, and mussels over pasta. (Note: this item wasn't included on the sunset dinner menu, but it was rated as "fantastic".) The entrees were all quite large and well prepared with delicious sauces. Lots of leftovers! There's always room for dessert, and we thoroughly enjoyed the variety of gelato choices. We selected hazelnut, salted caramel, and vanilla. All were rich, creamy and delightful. Unfortunately the coconut flavor had run out. No problem as this gives us an excuse to return soon.

Yelp
So it happens we find this gem in a shopping plaza. We arrive and the restaurant is not your strip mall Italian Restaurant. The design is extremely pleasing and relaxing. We are seated in a booth that is nicely and smartly done. Kim our server was very Cordial and welcoming. She filled us in on all Cucina Modena had to offer. She also steered me toward the half off bottle of wine. So I selected La Crema and it never disappoints. We were served bread that replicates a mini pizza. Smart. If you want customers to get a taste of your pizza dough and everyone knows pizza is about dough first toppings second. This dough is what makes pizza, pizza! Appetizer was Shrimp Bruschetta. This was a good starter. Now as scampi goes it was very good and the dish was swimming in sauce so if you like to sink and don't like crisp bread this is for you. My Penne alla Vodka although not the best, because I prefer a more creamy and vodka taste. Those who cook know what I mean. It was good. The fettuccine bolognese was very tasty. We finished off with gelato because they were out of Tiramisu. Yes we will return to try Pizza. Tutte Bene. Boba Fortuna Cucina Moderna. I gave five stars for cleanliness, great atmosphere and service. The food is very good for anything South Florida and I am sure when I return to try other dishes I shall be pleased.

Yelp
It was my first time trying the resturant and I ordered take out. When I first walked in I was struck by a wonderfull smell. It smelled like - delicious food made with love. The atmosphere also looked modern, clean, and welcoming. I ordered a chicken parmesan but I swapped the normal red sauce for alfredo sauce. I tried this dish after seeing a different Yelp review for this restaurant having done the same thing. The chicken parmesan was $21 and they charged me $3 for the sauce. The portion was enormous! (see picture attached). The food was also very tasty. One other thing that I will mention is that before I paid, the cashier checked my order to ensure my meal was done correctly, which I really appreciate. I will definitely be coming back to try more food here.

Yelp
Good thing we had reservations for this evening for Father's Day! The joint was jumping! Sign on door was great idea making everyone aware that there is a staffing shortage and to please be patient! Forewarned is forearmed. But their team worked together and from a customer point of view it was a seamless experience! No problems from our side of the table. Igor was our waiter and he was awesome as was everyone delivering the food or filling the water or clearing off plates. Food was delicious- hubby and son had chicken parmigiana that was gone long before I said I need a box please as I think they compete with each other to see who can clean their plate fastest. Not me. I ordered shrimp scampi and I found their sauce flavorful. My son and I shared an appetizer of a mild creamy cheese and prosciutto. Elegant!
