"Mami Yanagawa has followed the path of Italian cuisine. She enjoyed her cooking classes so much that she became a chef herself. To study Italian gastronomy in its home, Yanagawa travelled to Italy, where she learned the depth and richness of regional variation. Her choice of name for her restaurant, ‘cucina regionale’ (‘hometown cooking’) proclaims the importance she attaches to the network of local and regional producers she has cultivated. Yanagawa links Italy and Nara to showcase the appeal of hometown traditions." - Michelin Inspector

Beautifully designed interior. Open kitchen with chef’s table seats. The chef table experience was exceptional. Watching chef prepare each dish, the conversations with her, the superb wine and sake pairing. Michelin worthy!

Exceptional restaurant! This will be a Michelin Star place very soon if not already by the time you get here....
The chef takes Italian modern cuisine and infuses Japanese Nara local ingredients to combine with wines from Italy to make an amazing experience over many courses.
Great for a group, business or family. Small dining and personalised degustation experience second to none.

Amazing experience where the Lady Chef Patron is whipping up a culinary feast all on her own and makes you truly feel like a guest in her own home
