Loved the vibe of this place the minute you walk in. We ordered over the phone and once you walk in you'll find two older gentlemen working at the front, one at the counter and one on the side working on the pizza, not sure if they're brothers but you could tell they were Italian and gave you the Hollywood vibe of retired mafias working hard for a living now lol
Anyhows , as much as I loved the vibe, the food was just okay to me. We got the Cugino's special pizza, ham and cheese calzone, and mozzarella sticks. To start, the mozzarella sticks did not have that stringy cheesiness to it. The pizza was good, the best dish out of the three that we ordered, the sauce, the crust, the ingredients goes perfectly. The calzone was the interesting one, portion-wise it was definitely large enough to feed a grown man, but the cheese inside was a little over the top. I took two bites and as I passed it on to my wife to try, oil started pouring out from the center, we tried to pour it all out and got a whole puddle of grease, I get it, there's a lot of cheese so that's where the grease comes from, you get what you order I guess. But as I got to the center, the overload of cheese started getting to me, I had to scoop out a whole bunch of the cheese to be able to finish the crust, and I love cheese so that really shows how much cheese there was that I got greased out by it.
Service was great but I'm still sitting here with the greasy feeling, would go back for the pizza but probably not the calzone.
