On the Grid : Cul-sec

"Like it's popular sister restaurant Pastaga, Cul-sec is a wine-centric dining experience. The small space surrounds diners with wine racks, most of the bottles on them privately-imported from natural and biodynamic producers, each helpfully labeled with a price. The menu offers elegant choices to pair with the wine, such as beer and salmon tartare, hearty salads and creamy desserts from Monsieur Crémeux next door." - Dynamo

The Best Restaurants at MTL à Table 2018 | Eater Montreal

"Martin Juneau’s wine bar-ish nook on Beaubien has the cheapest offering of any restaurant on this map — for $23, get a truffle oil potato soup, classic tartare, or smoked salmon with corn “milk”. It’s on the lighter side, so for a full meal, consider Juneau’s main restaurant Pastaga, around the corner with a $33 menu." - Tim Forster

Google
A thrift store where prices are actually thrifty. Love to see it. This location didn't have what I was looking for though but the staff was super nice and prices weren't bad.

Google
Cute little thrift store with some awesome buttons & a couple of gems. The girl working at the cash (long blonde hair) was super friendly and smiley and a great chat!

Google
A nice thrift with some cool finds but pretty over priced for some items. I get it's too be expected on that street but it was still a little disappointing.

Google
Great prices, really affordable. people must be reviewing it low so that they don't blow up the spot

Google
This is a good vintage store for street wear lovers

Yelp
As a self-defined thrifter, one who takes pride in finding great clothes for great prices.. this isn't the place for me. It was hard to find anything under $20 (even used T-shirts!!!) so that was a little disappointing. The selection of denim jackets was exceptionally impressive though. But this is definitely a high end pricey shop. If you're looking for good bargains, I wouldn't recommend coming here. However, if you're looking to find unique items at any cost, this would be the place for you!

Yelp
Bought a pair of high-waist jeans that fit me like a dream! Thrifting can always be hit or miss, and I happened to get lucky this time around. The employees are friendly, and I was able to easily try on clothing.

Yelp
The Item I purchased with them has a good quality and it fits to me perfectly like an action star in the movie :-)

Yelp
Actually not bad of a place, as it is with most thrift store, the variety and the availability is really changing. So you can get lucky or not. If you are grossed out by places like "village des valeurs" and renaissances. It's a great place for you since all the good stuff is already skimmed out. In fact, there is a few stores like this one almost neighbouring each other so if you want the full experience. Look around on Saint-Laurent. But to my taste it's a bit lacking this "thrifty feel"

Yelp
Fantastic vintage clothing at affordable prices. If you're into adidas jackets or letter jackets from schools, this is the store for you.

Yelp
My friend and I were strolling along Boul. Ste Laurent doing some window shopping when we spied this awesome store and decided to have a closer look. The owner, Marc, (who is drop dead gorgeous, ladies) apparently obtains these used articles of clothing and reconditions them himself. My friend (who's a girl) went hog wild and bought a few things. Cash gets you further -- capisce? So keep that in mind. Credit cards are accepted, too.

Yelp
A small, well-edited shop. For men and women. At first glance it looks like *just* a vintage clothing store. Still, it was interesting enough looking to pop in on our walk down St. Laurent. Come to find out it's vintage, and reconditioned - the owner Mark takes vintage items and updates them - I believe they may have a few one-off handmade items too. Anyway, great variety of sizes and styles, which is sometimes hard to find in vintage/reconditioned. Scored a very cute polka dot halter on the $10.00 rack too. Gotta love that! Overall the price point was decent, but frankly the dresses I bought were so cute I wasn't really comparison shopping. I *think* they ran me between 30-45 canadian bucks. Note: Takes CC cards but offered me a deal for paying in cash. Take the time to pop in. If you don't find anything for you that day, the owner is great eye-candy and super nice.

Yelp
Great store, the fact that it has less clothing than Eva B makes it easier to shop at, I find myself an adorable short trench looking coat from the bran American Eagle and only paid 20$! Great selection :)

Yelp
Great store on the Main. A must area and store for visitors and locals alike...

Yelp
I'm in Montreal for about a month, and stumbled on Cul De Sac in my Saint-Laurent neighborhood. Normally I'm very picky, but have found several great vintage shirts here at very good prices. I've worked with Melissa, who is very friendly and knowledgeable. Many women's clothes, But they have a great selection for men. I know I will return before leave Montreal. Near schwartz's, too.

Yelp
The staff here were really friendly and it was definitely a highlight finding and shopping at Cul-de-Sac! The prices are very reasonable and the selection is really great :)

Yelp
Great and friendly store sales people! Super helpful and nice to chat with! Clothes are amazingly unique!

Yelp
Scored some great sweaters on the $10.00 rack one time, although it could be a hit or miss depending on the day, but everything is very clean and repaired which is good.
