Culaccino (and additionally Culamar, their seafood concept) has been a local favorite down in Franklin for almost five years. This Tuesday, you can visit them at their new location in Nashville Yards, just across from The Pinnacle.
We were graciously invited to join them Saturday evening for their Friends & Family soft open and I was honored to attend. Unfortunately, we've had some sickness in the house this week. While I am feeling much better, my bride is still under. Fortunately, Sofia, our 11 year old, LOVES pasta and was stoked to join me for dinner.
If you've been, you already know how good this place is. Scratch-made pasta, wood-fired pizzas, house-crafted appetizers, all made with the finest local ingredients. You can literally taste the heart in every dish.
We were welcomed warmly by a few hosts/greeters/seaters as our table was being prepared (we were a touch early) and introduced soon after to Erin, who couldn't have been more hospitable. After being ushered to our seats (some of the best in the house if I do say so myself), our server, Noah, was prompt in welcoming us and going over a few things for the evening.
Service from Noah was exceptional. You may know him from V Modern most recently, or maybe from Wild Ginger. If so, you know the service standard he brings. It was top-tier; he was present without being overbearing and instinctively anticipated our needs. Watching other servers in our immediate vicinity leaves the impression this is the norm, not the exception, but I won't hesitate to request Noah in the future.
I failed to grab a picture of the receipt, but everything we ate plus one cocktail and one glass of wine was just $117 before tax and tip. And we left absolutely satisfied. Not bad for dinner for two in Nashville if you ask me.
With what is increasingly becoming a plethora of Italian options in Nashville, Culaccino Nashville lives up to its name. A Lasting Impression indeed. See you again soon, friends. Saluti! 🥂
