Culichi Town

This place was HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Made a reservation for Friday night to celebrate my moms birthday, the manager Erica was super friendly, nice, and amazing when making the reservation. When getting there the server looked stress out already and was trying to make us order stuff we didn't want! I was ordering we orders of fries and she kept trying to bring us 3 then kept on pushing alcohol on me when I had already mentioned to her that I didn't drink( I believe this was to get our check to be high since they automatically add 18% tip). This mad me very uncomfortable. After allllll of our plates FINALLY came out since it took them 15 mins to get EVERYTHING out getting out tortillas, lime, onions, ect was the WORST the runner was RUDE TO MY MOM! When it was HER birthday we were there for. We then asked to speak to a manager when she came to us she herself was RUDE saying that it wasn't the runners fault which we never said it was all we needed for her to understand was that he was RUDE not that there might habe been a misunderstanding or miscommunication between the workers. The food was NOT good and like i had mentioned it had taken long to receive(it wasn't busy at ALL for a Friday night there was only 2 other big tables and 3 small ones NOT busy) i paid for them to sing to her and give her the whole show when they did it was sooooo BAD they TRICKED her NOT once BUT twice and didnt even give her the show she DESERVED with the sparklers. Will never go again and don't do it either WASTE OF TIME, ENERGY, AND MONEY!!!!!!!!!

Went on February 14, 2026 for dinner, my tostada Altata was the fire. I enjoyed it so much. I told friends about how good the tostadas were, so we decided to go last night Feb. 21, 2026, it was horrible. I felt so embarrassed with my friends, the tostadas were so bland , flavorless, and NOT how they were on Valentine's Day. I don't know if it was a different person doing the tostadas. But I will not be coming back, whoever they had now doing the Tostadas absolutely sucks. The Tostadas on the night of Valentines Day were way better.

We visited Culichi Town in Ontario on a busy Saturday night during Valentine’s Day weekend, so we expected a wait time of about 30 minutes, which was reasonable. However, the service left a lot to be desired. I ordered the 14-ounce steak, and my wife got oysters and sushi. My steak arrived much earlier than her food, which wasn’t a big deal, but the real issue was that it came without silverware. I had to ask for it three times, yet it was never brought to my table. After waiting about 15 minutes, I finally went up front to request silverware myself and asked if they could reheat my steak. At that point, I didn’t care if it ended up overcooked—I just wanted it hot. A manager came over, apologized, and went above and beyond to make things right. Her professionalism and attentiveness are the only reasons this review is four stars instead of two. She ensured we were taken care of, which I truly appreciated. As for the food, the steak was just okay, but my wife really enjoyed her sushi. The drinks were fantastic. The live music was a nice touch, but the musicians only played one or two songs on stage; the rest of the time, they were performing at the bar in the back. This was disappointing because part of the appeal of live music is actually getting to see the performance, but for most of the night, only the drummer was visible from our seats. It would be much better if they stayed on stage throughout the night. Despite the service hiccups, the overall vibe of the restaurant was enjoyable. Would I recommend it? I’m honestly not sure. It has its highlights, but there were enough issues to make me hesitate.

OVERPRICED!!! The ambience and atmosphere is all good. Pescado Zarenedandado was $35!!!! That's too much!!! Fish taco entree comes with only 1 taco. It should be at least 3 tacos, for the price!. The service is good, dessert choices - rock bites are great. For two people if you order , it will be $100 or more with drinks, tips and 2 entrees and appetizers!!! Just too much!! But all their entrees are all very pricey. Will not recommend to go there.

We stopped by Saturday afternoon, the interior of this place is nice but don't let looks deceive you. Upon entering we were greeted and told we would be seated and than promptly told it would be a 10-15 minute wait by someone else. We were seated and a server came up and took our initial drinks quickly and appetizer, guacamole. Roughly 10 minutes later it came out, the guacamole was 12 bucks and it was basic at best. Our main course was Spicy Tuna and 2 shrimp tacos. In the mean time 2 tables have been seated and both of the tables ended up walking out because they weren't getting service, that was strange and one of them had 8 people. A lot of staff running around and nobody paying attention to the customers, the music is waaaaayyyyy tooooo louuuudddd. I'm trying to eat lunch not sit in a club, you would've thought management would notice? Guess not. The spicy tuna was ok and the shrimp tacos were over cooked, they were displayed nice and we spent 50 bucks for it all, this place looks nice on the inside but a lot is left to be desired. This place doesn't know what its trying to be. I'm not coming back.

Service was ok but the food was overepriced and to be honest food sucked. $45 for fries and steak are you serious. I don’t like seafood so that was pretty much all the food we had. The meat let’s just say sizzler has better food that’s all I can say. Thank you.

I bought 4 sushi’s yesterday January 21, 2025 around 2:30 pm for my work lunch after chewing this came out I was not able to enjoy the rest of the sushi and disposed of them I spit it out and a plastic tie was in the sushi

Staff was amazing making sure to check up on us every now and then. The horchata and food was BOMB!! We got seated right away on a Friday at 6pm ish. Music was a great vibe

I cannot say enough good things about my experience! The ambiance was warm and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious; every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. We came for my father in law's birthday and they were absolutely amazing and attentive, the song and the birthday celebration they did as a group was so fun! A special shout-out to our server, Osvaldo, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. His recommendations were spot on, and his attentiveness made us feel truly valued.

Never have I had such a terrible dining experience where the only redeeming factor was the blueberry lemonade. I visited Culichi Town on a Friday shortly after they opened. We debated between trying this place or sticking with Red Lobster, but despite the red flags, we decided to give Culichi Town a shot. We didn't order anything complicated--a tempura roll for me and two tacos (asada and fish) for my husband. Before ordering, we took a couple of moments to review the menu, which, by the way, was incredibly frustrating to navigate. It was inconsistent, with some descriptions in Spanish, others in English, and several items described in confusing or contradictory ways. One dish even mentioned being served "on a bed of eel." Excited by that, I asked the waitress if they could add eel to my roll, only for her to look confused. Pointing to the menu, I explained what I meant, and she clarified it was actually supposed to say "eel sauce." Seriously? Despite this shaky start, we decided to give the food a chance--and it was a huge mistake. My tempura roll was terrible. The tacos were even worse. The asada taco came with cheese melted onto the tortilla, and the cheese tasted spoiled, like it had gone bad. To make matters worse, the asada itself was bland and completely lacking seasoning. The fish taco was no better--the batter was raw inside, making us question if the fish was even fully cooked. Out of courtesy, we took the remaining roll to go, but it ended up in the trash as soon as we got home. To top it off, I had a near-instant physiological reaction to the food, and it lingered for the next day or so. Do yourself a favor: avoid this place. If you're in the area, just go to Red Lobster instead.

Came here for a bachelorette celebration and it was great vibes. Osvaldo was a great server, very attentive and friendly.

I was a bit skeptical about coming here due to the reviews but since it was the birthday girls request to come here, we gave it a try. To start off parking was a breeze, plenty of parking. Available. Great. The decor is really nice, I loved the colors, and aesthetics of it. Maria C- was our waitress, shout out to her, she was friendly, helpful and fast! We had a party of 14, and she was efficient with all our orders. Everyone loved their food. I ordered aguachiles, and they were ok. I'm a hard critic when it comes to aguachiles, in my opinion they just lacked flavor. But that's okay, everything else was great. Music was a little too loud for me, but it's just a preference. They also had soccer and baseball games on the TVs. Before paying the bill, their team came out with a shot, lights, the monja and some music to celebrate our birthday girl. That was the cherry on top! Hilarious but thoughtful gesture.

The food was great and the ambiance was amazing. We celebrated my friend bachelor's dinner and it was fun. Our waiter Osbaldo was very polite,and friendly.

There's not a lot of people that goes here as I see why because it is a bit pricey however, the food makes up for it. The place is clean and the waiters always came back to refill our water and asked if we needed anything

Came here for a work lunch and the atmosphere was nice and sophisticated. Service was a bit slow for my liking. There weren't that many people so I thought it was doable to dine in wihin the timeframe my coworker and I had, but nope. The servers were too slow to bring he menu, bring the drinks, bring the food, get the check, etc. i wasn't too impressed by the fusion rolls I got either. Silly of me to order sushi from a Tex Mex restaurant. My coworker liked her dish though--shrimp with verde sauce, which is the only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars.

Food was delicious! I ordered shrimp empanadas and it did not disappoint. Osvaldo provided great service. I definitely recommend this location.

The food was 100%, no complaints there. We came on a Sunday, surprisingly not a very busy afternoon. Although it wasn't busy, we were treated as if it was! Our waiter, Noemi, was rude, which made us feel uncomfortable. I needed to ask her a question about the menu, but because the music was so loud, she couldn't hear me. She didn't even try to get closer to me; instead, she gave me a face as if I were wasting her time. Finally, the ladies' bathrooms... I needed to change my son's diaper. The one that had the changing table had water all around it, and the changing table was filthy! I don't know what was dirtier and unsanitary, the changing table or the high chair they provided.

Music was not bad, but definitely not Banda as I was told over the phone. Roll was terrible overfilled with cream cheese. Camarones cucaracha not what I expected but were delicious. Marisco Novolato were ok. Totally not worth my tab!

Food was great! I live the spiciness of the aguachiles and the shrimp empanadas we bomb! Osvaldo was attentive and had a great vibe and took care of us!

Food was ok service was good only bad thing one of the busboys accidentally spilled shrimp sauce from the cocktail on my sons jacket. He did however bring a wet towel to wipe it off a bit. Osbaldo was our waiter he was very pleasant

The place is nice and clean. The food is okay but way too expensive. The host also came to take a picture of our large party and sold it for $25!!! I could not believe $25 for a photo that in other restaurants the host or waitress gladly takes for free. The vibe is definitely not kid friendly. We went around Christmas time and they had a grinch dancing along with the team when they did the birthday celebration. It looked funny until he started twerking to the birthday boy. Also some music playing is trendy but inappropriate. The place should definitely be 18+. I had kids with me and felt pretty uncomfortable having them there. I don't think I would return.

Co-worker and I staying nearby for the week for work. My co-worker was not from the area, and wanted to try this place out for dinner. It was 8pm and we thought they were closed. It was super quiet. We got seated right away and we did. Rocked 2 other parties dining in as well. First impression was an awesome front desk with a large backdrop of different tequila brands on the shelves. The second thing that was very noticeable was the loud and over bearing music they were playing. We found ourselves yelling across the table the entire night. Even our server was somewhat yelling as well. I don't get it how can people eat and enjoy their meals while having a decent conversation within their party. It was ridiculous, but we were too tired from traveling for work to change restaurant. We started with chips and guacamole. The guacamole was good, had some great flavor. The chips, nothing fancy. The only issue we had was the guacamole to chips ratio was off. The guacamole came in a large mortar and the chips came in what seemed to be a kid size flat plate. For dinner, I can only speak about my meal. I ordered Rancheros Shrimp. shrimp were nicely cooked. The sauce lacked seasoning, it was bland. The entree came with tortillas, nice and beans. The rice was dry and overcooked. The beans were good. The server was nice and pleasant, the only thing that was off-putting was her aggressive car sales men upselling. She kept insisting on ordering more appetizers. We said no. When we asked about the maid dishes, she kept suggesting other items to add. Then the constant asking me about ordering a cocktail. We said, it's a work night and we will pass. Not surprised, she tried again. And guess what, the sales talk kept coming once we wrapped up with dinner. She pushed and pushed about trying their desserts. Perhaps because it was a quiet evening and maybe (my assumption) there was very little business tonight, the server wanted to upsell the drinks and desserts. Once I returned to the hotel, I decided the read the reviews. Silly me, I should have read them before coming here. I agree with what most said about the loud music, the food was mediocre and the atmosphere was trying hard to be hip and trendy. We were not feeling it. I'm saddened to have to write this review. I always try to find the best of every dining experience, maybe the full day of traveling and working added to the experience. If I can leave you one piece of advice from someone who has been in the customer service industry for over 32 years. Review your reviews and take a moment to get to know your patrons. The manager should be on the dining floor and mingle with the customers. Get to know them and learn from what they want to share. I wish your business well.

Empanadas had only 2 small pieces of shrimp. Service was over the phone no no deal about that. DO OVER PRICED!!! Three empanadas for $19.00 what's wrong with those prices don't go if you want a good deal for your money l. So sad

Music is insanely loud. So loud you cant hear anyone talking, if you dont have a headache you'll walk out with one for sure. Could not even stay to give the food a chance the atmosphere, mainly the live LOUD music made us all walk out. Never coming back. Do not recommend this place for family eats or even with friends. You'll lose hearing.

In town and looking for a quick bite to eat. It wasn't quite what we were expected but we were pleased. As we walked up we could hear the Banda playing. Very loudly. We almost wanted to leave but stayed. We were offered to sit on the patio area which is climate controlled. It was still a little loud. It did take awhile for service. Others sat and were helped before us that came in after. Could be that we don't speak Spanish. Only menus were in Spanish and they did apologize for that. Decor is nice and food was delicious!

Wow, not sure how flavor and quality fell off a cliff. So much ceviche ordered and not a single slice of avocado. Ordered a cazuela drink... feels like it was made with Tampico Orange Drink

Wow, so terrible. After finishing our lunch, we were given the check. I ordered the seafood soup, in the menu it was listed $20 and it was charged $28. My wife ordered the fish (I forgot what's the name) but it was $22 listed in the menu but the charge was $33... the waitress knew it was wrong when I asked to speak to a manager I was told that the menu is subject to a price change. DON NOT EAT HERE... it was our first and last... I guarantee they will be out of business in a year! Oh wow, I just saw a previous review of this place where they changed the prices on another customer.

Service, our server Oswaldo was on point. Very friendly. Food was delicious, the micheladas were on point. Music was okay that day, but overall, good stuff.

For the people that know the real culichi town this place has nothing to do. It falls short. This feels more like the Pescador Reggaeton playing this music small portions and just plain sucks. I asked for a Molcajete usually they're big. This was a size of what they serve salsa in with the handful of seafood. They should at least tell the people what they're getting. I absolutely despise this place. Totally fake.

We will definitely be back! The food was excellent, and the flavors were amazing. The menu is seafood focused, and everything was on point. The vibe inside was really nice! Highly recommend if you're looking for seafood with a Mexican flare! Our server was very attentive and checked on us multiple times throughout our meal as well.

For a long time I wondered how this place could only have 2 stars - I've visited numerous times and felt it was decent and likely deserving of 3 stars at minimum. That ALL changed today! I've visited here regularly because I truly enjoyed their Roca Roll and Taco Gobernador. However, the last 3 or 4 visits the service has been worse and worse. Today, we got ready for dinner and my husband suggested, "let's give Culichi Town another try." I promise you all that the first thing I said to him was "hmmm I don't know - the service has been pretty terrible as of late." But then I thought - maybe it will be different today - WRONG! As soon as we arrive, there is a crowd at the reception table. No problem. I notice there is a man who is trying to exit and I'm blocking his way, so I proceed to move all the way to the left of the reception table to allow him to pass. At that time, another group of guests comes in and ignores the fact that we were there first and tells the hostess they had a reservation. The hostess then looks at me and I say, "I'm sorry I was here first, can I put my name down for 4?" She proceeds to give me the dirtiest look and tells me to wait on the right hand side then looks back at the other guests and asks for her name. At that point I said, NOPE, I'm done. I hope Mr. Misael Guerrero has a conversation with his staff because the food and concept of this place are great, but never worth terrible service and terrible attitudes. I won't be back.

If I could give this place a minus star I would but it only allows me to give 1 star. Hit a McDonals before you come here. The service is so bad. The servers are slow I had to get up out of my table to order another drink. The food was OK but if you are coming here for the Music then come otherwise stay away from here save you time and save yourself the disappointment. Minus starts all the way.

Why is your phone off on Mother's Day!!! Trying to order 3 charolas!!! Tried to do a pre order over the phone 2 days before mothers day and the lady on the phone said, "you have to call on Sunday to make the order." I wanted to prepay so we can plan a pick up time... no customer service whatsoever! The worker was not knowledgeable at all either! Couldn't tell me the prices. Guess this place doesn't give AF! You can't ven order through Uber eats or door dash here! Now I see why, they don't have their shit together.
