I finally got a chance to try Culinary Dropout, and wow I had the most amazing, relaxing solo date! Walking in felt like being in Calabasas, LA the decor is beautiful, the vibe is upscale but chill, and the energy was just right. The staff were all so fresh, young, and vibrant they really did an amazing job hiring! My waitress, Cayde, was super sweet and attentive, always checking in and making suggestions without being overbearing. I ordered the steak frites, and it was absolutely perfect the steak was cooked to perfection, the fries were seasoned just right, and the salad balanced everything beautifully. For my drink, I had the zero-proof watermelon spritz, which was light, refreshing, and perfect for the warm outdoor patio setting. I sat outside, and it was such a vibe warm, relaxing, and full of life. Everything about this place is well-executed, from the vision to the atmosphere. Even the name Culinary Dropout feels motivational, like they really took that concept and turned it into something special. Definitely a 5-star experience all around! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I ate the whipped feta and the spicy shrimp. Yes, it was delicious 😋. The drinks are great. I wanted to try all of them. The atmosphere is a cool relaxing vibe. All the employees were extremely friendly and accommodating. Nate, the manager, was helpful in setting up the party space we reserved. Everything turned out perfectly! I'll definitely be back.

Google
The food was great but it was a little crowded when we went mostly with what seemed to be young folks on a prom date. I'm sure its not usually like that so I won't hold it against em. Food was great but the wait for ordering was a little long with the crowd. No wait for a table with reservations though. Enjoyed the environment and atmosphere so I would definitely be willing to go back and try it again on a less "daddy's money" type of night.

Culinary Dropout is the best! My husband and I just happened to go there a few days before our anniversary. Our server, Katie asked us if we were celebrating anything. We said not really but that our anniversary was coming up. She then brought us a sweet Happy Anniversary card signed by the whole staff and a free dessert of our choosing! It wasn't even our actual anniversary day and yet they treated us like royalty. They place never disappoint. The menu has something for everyone. They have the best fish n' chips in town. Second best only to the one I had in London! I love that the tartar sauce isn't sweet. Its a perfect tangy compliment to the light and flaky fish. My husband and I don't drink very much so we also love that they have specialty mocktails on the menu. Everything we've had has been fantastic.

Google
We ordered drinks he got the expresso martini I got the culinary dropout mule. For food I ordered wings and my husband ordered the smokehouse hash. His was so good. They put the tortilla on the side which was perfect! The wings are good just not flavored from the inside out, and the wings were pretty big in size and very meaty. Definitely worth stopping in. The drinks are on the expensive side but so tasty. The waiter was amazing, timing everything perfectly as well!

We tried out the Culinary Dropout a few days ago! It was so pretty inside and I loved all of the industrial light fixtures. My husband got the Pub Burger. He LOVED it. The BBQ sauce on the burger was phenomenal. We shared the BBQ Pork Belly Nachos. For the most part, they were pretty good. Unfortunately, the toppings made the chips pretty soggy. We also had the Strawberry Lemon Torte for dessert. It was so yummy! Our waiter was fantastic as well!

Google
I’ve been to Culinary Dropout twice in the past few days and both times were excellent. On my first visit I had the 36-hour smoked ribs, which were tender, flavorful, and absolutely worth coming back for. The second visit we tried the steak frites and the fish and chips. both dishes were spot on. The steak was cooked perfectly, the fries were crisp, and the fish had that golden, light batter that makes it irresistible. For dessert, the Mississippi Mud Pie was outstanding and rich, indulgent, and beautifully presented. The only thing that kept the night from being flawless was the coffee service: I ordered an espresso to enjoy with dessert, but it wasn’t available, and the black coffee I requested didn’t arrive until after we’d already finished the pie. That said, the food, drinks, and atmosphere here are consistently great, and I’ll definitely be back.

Google
I absolutely love this restaurant from the food down to the water. It's all so fresh and the food is always good for me. I'm pretty picky about where I eat out these days, and all three times I've been here, I've been impressed. The atmosphere is a whole vibe. The waitresses and staff are all unique and dressed in their own style. The food is unique and delicious, and their drink menu is quite original and tasty! Will continue to go back again and again. Lana served us tonight for my birthday dinner with one of my best friends, and she was outstanding! Was blessed by the entire interaction. The entire staff even signed a birthday card for me!!! I felt so special. Thank you all.

Yelp
Our server was Kayla! She was amazing food 10/10 service 1000/10 we got the pretzel bites and nachos all it was so good! Desert was fantastic

Yelp
Bar tender was pretty inexperienced and probably didn't need to be alone just yet. Food was absolutely amazing. The Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket were awesome. Live music started while were there which was very enjoyable! Great food at a solid price point!

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch today with my mom and sister, and we had a great experience. We sat on the patio, which was really nice -- perfect weather and a relaxed vibe. My mom and sister both ordered the fried chicken with buttermilk biscuit, smashed potatoes, and gravy -- total comfort food and absolutely delicious. The chicken was crispy and juicy, and the biscuit was warm and fluffy. I went with the roasted salmon, which came with sweet corn, toasted couscous, and a flavorful heirloom tomato & caper relish. It was fresh, light, and super well-balanced -- exactly what I was in the mood for. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Definitely a spot I'd come back to, especially for a casual lunch with family.

Yelp
Since my son hadn't been here before I decided to take him to lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. I had been here several times and I usually make a reservation since it seems to be a busy spot. I wasn't aware that we were going to be on brunch time and the menu did not include some of their delicious pastas. I decided to try something different and got the Detroit style cheese pizza, and added goat cheese to it. My son got the pork belly nachos and devoured it. We did share the Mississippi pie, which I had before that was delicious. I love the decor in here. It is so trendy. They have a bar area that is really nice that I would like to come sit out at some point. I didn't drink today. I just got a coat but they do have some cool alcoholic drinks. I will be back sooner than later Carleigh with our server and she was very attentive and personable.

Yelp
I'm not sure how anyone rated this less than five stars. Starting with walking in, I was impressed by the unique look of the business and the light fixtures, in particular. I was greeted by the hostess and multiple others prior to going to my table. Although a little slow, it was dinner time so that is normal. My waitress was very attentive and gave recommendations of where to start. The feta and tzatziki dip was my favorite--with the bread, it was such a standout. Other bar foods available, too--the marinated olives were nice to snack on. The butternut squash and kale salad was incredible--I added shrimp. Already signed up for their loyalty although I did come from out of state. Came here for the story behind the restaurant chain, stayed to try as many food options as I could because it was so good. Definitely a favorite now!

Yelp
First off the , let's talk about this staff. Sydney , Riley, and Nate were some of the nicest and welcoming staff I've ever encountered at a restaurant! Like for real! Thank you all for being so hospitable. This is a beautiful establishment with some very delicious and filling food. My favorites were the Brussels sprouts and pigs in blanket. The sauce with the pigs just took me to another level. Probably the best sprouts I've ever eaten!

Yelp
My friends and I stopped by on Wednesday for happy hour. The restaurant was not very busy and we were seated at a booth adjacent to the bar. I was surprised to learn that the happy hour menu is only offered at the bar. But, our waitress said they would allow us to order from the happy hour menu. We started with The Sampler. It's a chef's selection of a meat and cheese charcuterie board. It was a nice presentation, but I thought was a little overpriced at $30. This was not part of happy hour menu. We did order drinks and a couple of items to share from the happy hour menu. The drinks were okay, but not memorable. We ordered the Korean ribs. They were served with coleslaw and had a nice flavor. Unfortunately only three small ribs are included in an order. We also ordered the Pork Nachos, and this was a much better item to share. The nachos were pretty good, and I would recommend them. Wait staff was very nice.

Yelp
Mother's Day brunch! So glad we came here! We had 10:30 reservation and were seated right away Not thrilled our table was back in a corner outside the bathrooms and server station though especially when there were other open tables. That was a downer. Otherwise, Love the atmosphere and we had fantastic service. Food was a little unique and tasty. The veggie Bloody Mary was not very "veggie". Will dine here again, but I will leave if I am seated at the same table, and will skip the Bloody Mary.

Yelp
We had a great time at Culinary Dropout! They did a great job of accommodating my larger party. We all had delicious meals and drinks. This is a great place to come for a special event or for a nice family outing. I would definitely recommend this place because of the great variety of options on their menu. I will definitely be back to try more!

Yelp
Food was amazing and I enjoy this restaurant. They have numerous options for all taste buds.

Yelp
Let me just start by saying the team at Culinary Drop Out in Birmingham know the meaning of hospitality, service and teamwork! On Sunday mid evening I phoned the restaurant to see if there was anyway to handle a very large group - 25 people. Lauren calmly and politely, with what was a smile over the phone, said typically "we need 24 - 48 hours to prepare, but if you don't mind holding on, let me talk to my manager and see what we can do." Of course I said not a problem at all. After a few minutes I was told if you wouldn't mind coming at 7:15 vs 6:30, we will make your reservation work. We have a side room we can set you up in." I thought that was the best news of the night ..... When we arrived, a bit early, we were told that they were still setting up and feel free to head to the bar. Which we did! But here is where the team rocked it! Our group of 25 people turned into 41. Yes, let me say that again - 41! Josh and Jinji, our servers for the evening, came in and began by ensuring that everyone who wanted a cocktail had one. I don't remember the bar tenders name (please insert here) but he knocked out drinks and everyone began to laugh, relax and talk about the cool vibe of the restaurant. There was laughter and comradely all around us. Our group asked Josh and Jinji for recommendations and they were on point based on the feedback I heard around the table. Next up - questions and recommendations for dinner. I was one of those individuals and Josh recommended that between the meals I was eying, I would enjoy the ribs. Man he was right! Thank you. Chef Chase knocked it out. Orders went in and meals came out and presented with true culinary delight!! Presented to the eye, fragrance to pull you into your meal and taste to keep you engaged and keep eating! To Emily who supported the entire team and I saw their faces respond to a how do we make this happen?! They did it. I am humbled by the teamwork of this team. The ambiance of the very cool and casual vibe, and the taste of the meals. The best complements came late in the evening when our individual who was the host said it was the best experience. Cool vibe. Great food and the experience he hoped for in bringing people together as family from across the US! In short. I can't thank each of you each enough for ensuring this was such a successful event (at the last minute). PS. Dear General Manager - please recognize this team and do something special. From one executive to another, you have a very special team in your presence!!

Yelp
From the moment we stepped into Culinary Dropout, we were enveloped in a warm, inviting atmosphere. The soft lighting and rustic decor created a cozy ambiance perfect for a celebration. Though the atmosphere was a bit noisy, we had a BIG group. Highly recommend for a casual, delicious meal." Let me back up. We were attending an event in Birmingham and need reservations for 25 at the last minute. After calling the manger, Krissie D., she said bring it! And we did. Our numbers were off, and things started to become a little scary. The crowd almost doubled; we have a total of 41 people arrive. As more people arrived the staff rocked it. The Host, Lauren never lost her cool. She directed people to the appropriate area and bar with ease. The servers, Josh and Jinji never even broke a sweat. They were as smooth as Cool Hand Luke. I did not see one drink or order missed or mistaken! When the orders came out you automatically knew the Chef Chase was in a zone. All the meals came out together, multiple trips however no one hand to wait more than 2 minutes for the entire group to be served. My last shout goes out to Emily, the shift lead. Thanks for making this happen and having such a great team! The drinks were smooth, and I highly recommend the Old Fashion. The food, as expected was spectacular. I did the Steak Frites, which was a delightful burst of flavors, it was cooked to perfection - tender and juicy. A definite must-try!" The menu is creative, and I appreciated the focus on different cuisines giving everyone in our group something to choose. The way this team came together with a two-hour window and served a group of 41, they need 10 stars here. Thanks all!!

Yelp
Party of five gathered together and dropped in for the first time. We were seated and Jessica was excellent at explaining the menu for the day. We were swiftly given our drinks and order was taken. Speaking of drinks, we modified them otherwise it's just "well" alcohol, nothing memorable. The food was great! We tried a few things and everything was tasty. The atmosphere was comfortable as the jazz musician carried out his set on stage. There is room for bar, indoor and outdoor seating but indoor was preferred as this was a warm day in summer. I didn't feel like sweating my eyeliner off. Luckily the air conditioning was on full blast which was perfect. I'll definitely return and this place will go into my favorite restaurant rotation.

Yelp
Culinary Dropout might just be my new go-to date night spot. Went with my church brothers for a pre-vow renewal dinner and everything hit--Lana's service, the complimentary pretzels with provolone fondue, those killer Brussels sprouts, and my melt-in-your-mouth Mongolian short rib. Even took monkey bread home like a trophy. My wife doesn't know it yet, but we've got a dinner date here soon.
google avatar

Travarey W.

Yelp
After my first experience I just had to go again the food was amazing as well as the service. It was fresh and we also the drink and clean.I went there and it was very organized and not too packed and would recommend anyone to go again while in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been to culinary dropout 3 times and already made plans to go a fourth. I will say some of their entrees are on the salty side. I really like their apps and this recent time when I went the steak was good. I would still go again. An easy pick.

Yelp
Stopped in for just a late afternoon snack. Been here before for dinner and brunch. Food is always spot on and service is always great. This time had the warm pretzel knots with cheese dip and a NA watermelon spritz that was just perfect. Keep doing what you're doing.

Yelp
I contacted Culinary Dropout and spoke with manager on duty "M" and explained that we needed a private dining room after returning from a burial at the Alabama Cemetery and he graciously agreed to accommodate our request. He then went on to explain that Brandi w0uld reach out to us to confirm the booking. By Tuesday, I realized that I had not heard from her, since the services were on the following day (Wednesday). I contacted the restaurant and requested to speak with her after providing my name. I could hear ongoing conversations prior to being transferred. I left the reason for my call as well as my contact information. The message was left on November 4th and as of this communication, I have not heard back from Culinary Dropout. Needless, to say I guess my business wasn't wanted, since it was only a party of 10. Fortunately, another restaurant was contacted and we received excellent service and the food was great as well. I will be sure to share this experience with all. UPDATE: I was contacted by Matt and I explained that I had not received the call and even offered to provide screenshots, which he declined. He apologized for the miscommunication and went the extra mile to earn my trust back for a future visit. I completely understand that mistakes happen, but it is the acceptance of the mistake which makes one move forward. Culinary Dropout thank you again for reaching out and now the rating has been updated to a "5 star".

Winter R.

Yelp
I went here with some family for a birthday and I want to start off with service, the hostess coming in was very nice, our waiter was nice but didn't tell us the sweet tea was infused with lavender and passion fruit, and who I assume was the manager was so kind towards us and gave us a refund for a meal even after we had told them that the chicken was to tough to even eat. That gets me on to the food, my salmon was great but the capers kind of overshadowed the corn and couscous taste. My other family members got the fried chicken, which was EXTREMELY tough but as I said the manger was very apologetic towards us and took the meal of our bill without us even asking. Other family members got the fish n chips which they said were good. If I had to recommend one thing we got would be the wagyu pig in a blankets with the sauce specifically, they were very good and came warm but not enough to burn you. Last thing is the ambiance, I personally love the vibes in the restaurant and I'll provide a picture of the bar below. The restroom was also pretty clean but could've used a good scrubbing on the back of the stall where the toilet seat covers are, other than that the actual toilet was very clean. To sum it up I would come here again but not for a birthday, maybe a brunch or a casual dinner instead.
google avatar

Xhané P.

Yelp
A culinary delight! When you first walk in, and right at opening to begin with, the restaurant was full but laid back. Service was great and punctual. Loved the fried chicken, my first entree to try. We came during brunch and I also enjoyed a watermelon coco mimosa. The buttermilk biscuit was the star of the show and the potatoes paired well with the chicken. Crisp, moist, and not overly seasoned. Looking forward to visiting again!

Yelp
Stopped by to have dinner with friends around 6:15 on a Thursday. There was no wait. I ordered the short ribs with slaw and fries. The pork ribs were tasty and fell off the bone. They do provide the wipes for you because the sauce if the ribs can get messy. I didn't care for the slaw. Not much taste and was somewhat dry. The fries were okay/good... could have been a little more hot. Overall a good time catching up. They also had live entertainment that evening.
google avatar

Yelp
Wowzers. I've driven past this many times but I somehow had not been in there yet. I took my three teenagers to dinner tonight and we all 4 absolutely loved the food we ordered. I will constantly say that even more important than the food for me though is the service at places. And this place was seriously one hundred percent perfect. Every servers we had and all the ones throughout were bringing a great vibe and were great servers. Also hearing the musician playing nice songs was also another great vibe in there. This is a super great place and it's very comfortable and the food is yummy.

Yelp
This was 2nd visit l, and once again the food was great, had the banana nut French toast, along with the endless summer drink. Service was awesome, everyone from the manager, who checked on us after we had not been attended too a few minutes after being seated, to the our waiter(Tyrie)to the staff who brought our food out was great! The environment is always vibe, music is good, open air dining is awesome, even though you are sitting inside, you feel like you are outside.
google avatar

Destiny F.

Yelp
First timer here! The food was amazing. The service was amazing as well. It took a while for our food to come out and it was addressed by our server and we were given an appetizer on the house. The pretzel bites were hot and fresh. The cheese dip was a nice touch. For my entree, I ordered 36 hr ribs and the portion was large. Oh and I can't forget about the ranch 10/10. I can tell it is home made.
google avatar

Kayla B.

Yelp
Ok y'all. Mother's Day brunch was handled beautifully. Everything was delicious. I am looking forward to stopping by after the holiday. From the hostess to our waitress everyone was kind and accommodating.

Joyce ..

Yelp
Excellent service, food, atmosphere, and prices! I highly recommend their turkey pastrami sandwich and the their meatloaf dish!!!! My boyfriend and I have been there three times in 2 weeks. We will be there tomorrow for sure. Joyce
google avatar

Nia A.

Yelp
Everything is rising in price but Culinary Dropout's rise in price is ridiculous. Brunch prices are outrageous to get nothing but a biscuit or burrito and nothing else. I spent $40 on one brunch item and one cocktail. Service was ok this time. I probably won't be back unless someone just really wants to go.
google avatar

Tyler T.

Yelp
First off, it is such a great venue. We went on a beautiful Sunday morning and they had all the doors open which allowed a nice breeze to flow through the whole restaurant. Our waitress was attentive and kind throughout the meal. The food was also good, but nothing amazing. Not an A-list place for me but still good!
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
Culinary dropout is one of my favorite lunch spots with a patio! The space is large and ventilated with shades in case the sun is too bright. I visited for brunch and ordered the fried chicken biscuit and I was impressed! It came with a spicy gravy that I requested on the side, but it was actually the star of the show! My margarita was just ok. A bit overpriced honestly ($17). Overall a nice spot!
google avatar

Sara W.

Yelp
The ambiance on the patio is great and will continue to be into the winter months. The brunch menu is more appealing to me than the dinner menu, including the brunch drinks. The cocktails were amazing! Highly recommend the Cali and Tay skinny margarita. The pastrami turkey sandwich was good and the buttermilk ranch with fries was fantastic. Everyone loves a homemade ranch. The service was okay. Our drinks took a long time every time we ordered more. As a group of 6, we didn't all order our drinks at the same time which seems like it should have made things quicker but it did not. I would go again but likely only for brunch.
google avatar

Justin T.

Yelp
Service was great, the vibe of the place is really cool, but the food was so bland. The food had no seasoning. I didn't order any drinks so maybe that's where this place really shines but I didn't order any alcohol so I can't go off of that. You would think with a small menu they would do what little they do well but nah. Everything was mid
google avatar

Janice W.

Yelp
The name itself should have been an indicator of what to expect. Everything here is excellent... except... the food. Service, ambience, staff... all excellent. It seems to be a very popular place for dining. Crowded friendly guests I ordered pizza. Can't go wrong here.... Not. Very disappointed. I prefer thinner crust. Mine was like a thick sandwich bun loaded with cheese and salami. My friend ordered ( tiny) popcorn shrimp and ( tiny slithers) of fried okra. Nothing special that you could prepare at home. The menu is very limited. Not much appeal in choices. The dessert choices were just as limited. Soft serve ice cream!!! Over cinnamon squares aka monkey bread. The best thing on the menu is the alcoholic drinks. I think the idea behind the restaurant is good and maybe as time goes they can use reviews as opportunities. The food was just so disappointing.
google avatar

Ginger S.

Yelp
It was a beautiful day when I visited this lovely location. My first experience at Culinary Dropout was terrific. The staff was very friendly. We made reservations, and we got seated on time. The staff was great with the menu options. The French toast is certainly a must-try if you get there for brunch. The surprise was the appetizer, Whipped Feta and tahini Dip. It's a must-try this spring. It's very light and refreshing, with so many favorite ingredients. Everything was cooked to order, and the price was very reasonable.

Yelp
My birthday was about two weeks ago. My husband took me to Culinary Dropout to celebrate. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while so going for my birthday was the perfect occasion. We made reservations via OpenTable and we were sat at our table pretty much immediately upon going up to the hostess stand. We were sitting near the bar and I was able to see the stage. Shout out to the performer because she did really interesting renditions of some popular songs. Our waiter was knowledgeable and helpful. I especially like that the waiter brought me a glass of champagne to celebrate my birthday and also brought out a dessert with a candle so I was able to make a wish on my birthday. I enjoyed my food. I enjoyed the ambience. I enjoyed the vibes of this restaurant. I definitely would come back.
google avatar

Kendall W.

Yelp
This was my second time visiting Culinary Dropout. The food was fine - I also ordered the shrimp and duck fried rice (not pictured) , it was good , the rice was kind of gummy but the duck was delicious. I sat at the bar and the bartender was really kind and knowledgeable about the menu. I would definitely go back and try more cocktails, they have a good variety. Also the decor was very laid back and I love a restaurant with an open kitchen concept!
google avatar

Victoria R.

Yelp
One of my favorites when passing through Birmingham! Always great staff with even better food!
google avatar

Ranita S.

Yelp
It was okay. Very busy. Standard American chain restaurant. Mocktails were excellent every thing else was just okay. Caico e Pepe tasted more like basic Alfredo. Feta tahini was salty and small. Wait was long even after reservations.
google avatar

Krystal H.

Yelp
I give this place a 2 star. The atmosphere is great! TVs to watch games. Location is good. The food menu is very limited and not very interesting. Expensive cheese board for not great items.
google avatar

Rachel W.

Yelp
We are so glad we decided to check this place out! It was AMAZING! The hostess was so friendly and our waiter was fantastic! I'm so sorry I can't remember his name! We loved the different seating options, inside or outside. Really the whole vibe was great!! I ordered the Endless Summer Margarita, and it was delicious! The tajin rim was the perfect touch! We started with the pretzel bites and provolone fondue. I seriously could have filled up on those! For my entree I ordered the beer battered fish and chips, and my husband got the Shaved Prime Rib Dip. Both were outstanding! I kept telling him, "This fish has no business being this good!" We aren't from the area, but when we are in town, we will definitely be visiting this place again! We highly recommend!
google avatar

Sarah L.

Yelp
Good espresso martini. A little on the sweet side, but good foam and cinnamon sugar sprinkle on top! Turkey sandwhich and salad was great! Neat industrial modern vibe! Will definitely be going back!
google avatar

Mallory B.

Yelp
I was super excited to try this place, and I am so glad we did. I got the steak frites, and my husband got the French dip sandwich. For appetizers we got the crusty bread and olives. Everything was absolutely stellar. We will certainly be back every time we come home. So impressed with this new establishment!
google avatar

Lara L.

Yelp
Went back for a second time and had an amazing experience! I got the burger and salad and it was really good but the star was the appetizers! When my friends ordered the onion dip (our waitress recommendation) I was not super excited but man it was AMAZING. Best onion dip I've ever had. The cheese and pretzels and pigs in a blanket are really good too! It's so hard to pick just one. We had a reservation end of December and were seated promptly and it was such a cool ambiance. Loved the guitar player and our waitresss had the best drink and app recommendations! I am now a huge fan and will for sure be a repeat customer:
google avatar

Sandra M.

Yelp
Had a wonderful date night! Sat at the bar and Kayla took care of us with drinks and food suggestions. Happy hour is legit, was able to snag a few drinks off there and the crispy Brussels and Wagyu pings in a blanket. There was a bartender in training and they did wonderful. Love the atmosphere, highly recommend.

Yelp
I was here a week ago for lunch( 04/28/24). My wait wasn't crazy and I was really happy about this was the case. It was busy but that was to be expected on a Sunday afternoon. I loved the interior design and decor. Very spacious and modern looking. I think most may like the vibe more than the food. Live music wasn't too loud and was a nice backdrop. For my meal, I had the steak and frites. Tasty but came out lukewarm and served at a slightly overcooked temperature. This is an Immediate turn off for me!!! Don't serve me cold food! They took care of replacing my order and were very apologetic. Cool and thank you! Overall, I enjoyed my visit. The bartenders were all friendly as well as the other staff I encountered. This is currently the place to be in Bham. I recommend reservations if you have a big party.

Yelp
Such a unique restaurant with a lively atmosphere! The menu has options across the board with a moderate price range. I ordered the Chopped Chicken salad without the hard boiled egg (and extra tomatoes)- it was delicious! I wished there was more chicken, although the salad was still very big and filling. My boyfriend ordered the Peking Duck and Shrimp Fried Rice- he enjoyed it, although his portion was significantly smaller than my salad. The workers are so nice and friendly! We ate there on a Saturday night where they had live music playing. Overall, I enjoyed what we ordered and I'd be happy to come back!

Yelp
You know those places that would make you visit a city it's for that? Yeah, this is one of those places for me. I was in Birmingham for the weekend and we just needed somewhere to go for lunch. I picked this place and wow. I love the vibe of this place. Open concept, central bar (with enough bartenders to justify it), and this little side area with speakers and a mic that was so cool. The kitchen was also visible and I love places like that, but with glass instead of fully open so the heat didn't scorch the place. Steak frites: 4.75/5. The steak was perfectly seasoned and tender. Skirt steak is so easy to overcook but it was delicious!! I could have used some more truffle butter, but that's my only complaint. The fries were perfect: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, perfect amount of salt. And then the salad. Look: I don't even like salad. Not only that, I don't like arugula!! But this was so good. I ate almost all of it. Fresh and lemony, and the cheese was the perfect addition. Caramelized banana bar: 4.25/5. I don't even know what to say. The mousse? Smooth and sweet. And I can't even explain the peanut butter crunch. SO good! Everything paired perfectly together. And vanilla crema was like thick and creamy. Only thing I'd do to change it is more caramelized banana since it is what the dish is called. But absolutely delicious. I can't wait til I'm back in Birmingham. This will be my first stop.

Yelp
Started our girls day of shopping on the right foot! I love fish and chips and this might be the best seasoned fish and chips I've ever had. The coleslaw was so delicious, I finished the whole bowl. My friend had the pub burger and said it was messy, but cooked perfectly. Just overall a wonderful lunch. Service was good and it was cute inside. We will be back to see how this place is for dinner!

Yelp
Extremely disappointing. Maybe they were off, or a lot of staff called in late I do not know. It started off on the wrong foot where I waited for over 15 minutes for somebody to come over to even ask for whether I wanted or not, let alone order a drink or put in a food order. After sitting there for 20 minutes, a server came over and I gave my full order of a drink, and the chef platter with meat and cheese. Again, I waited another 15 minutes for water and drink. 35 minutes after I arrived. The food came out, another 15 minutes later, and so at this point, it was just under an hour since I had sat down that I finally got my food, which by the way was an appetizer. I wanted to order a second drink, and no joke, waited at least a half hour if not 40 minutes between putting in the order for second drink and arriving. I will say that the manager at least came by to apologize and stated that it would be on the house. I really did appreciate that however, she also stated that the sangria had to meet made from scratch and they had run out. I have worked as a server before and know that it is crucial to let the kitchen know when items are running low, especially if it takes 20+ minutes to make from scratch. Well, I appreciate explanation, it made me think there was a lack of organization or communication with back of house andfront of house. As for the food, I thought it was way overpriced for what I received. The deviled eggs were very good, however, the salami (or genoa?) looked and tasted like something I could have picked up at Publix. The pimento cheese barely had a taste to it, and I only received two chunks of white cheddar cheese. Not worth what I paid for nor having to wait 55 to 40 minutes for my food. Lastly, I sat andwaited for a long time to receive the bill and then finally pay it and then receive the credit card back. All in all, one appetizer and two drinks later and I was there for over two hours when I had just wanted a quick snack. All in all, but I will see is that the patio was very nice to sit out on, but it definitely will not be a reason for me to ever come back. I have had very few terrible experiences at a restaurant, and I would put this in the top five. Maybe it's called culinary dropout for a reason?

Yelp
Food 10/10. Service 10/10. Ambiance 10/10. My Beatie and I visited this spot for the 1st time on Friday, 7/18 and we absolutely loved everything about it. We ordered the brussel sprouts, truffle fries, wings, mushroom pizza, and chopped chicken/avocado salad.. ALL WERE BUST (meaning GREAT)! .. The manager Nate, the Bartender TJ, and our Server Byron made a VERY lasting impression. I'm from MS and she's from GA, we're already planning to meet here again in September!
