Yelp
Extremely disappointing. Maybe they were off, or a lot of staff called in late I do not know. It started off on the wrong foot where I waited for over 15 minutes for somebody to come over to even ask for whether I wanted or not, let alone order a drink or put in a food order. After sitting there for 20 minutes, a server came over and I gave my full order of a drink, and the chef platter with meat and cheese. Again, I waited another 15 minutes for water and drink. 35 minutes after I arrived. The food came out, another 15 minutes later, and so at this point, it was just under an hour since I had sat down that I finally got my food, which by the way was an appetizer. I wanted to order a second drink, and no joke, waited at least a half hour if not 40 minutes between putting in the order for second drink and arriving. I will say that the manager at least came by to apologize and stated that it would be on the house. I really did appreciate that however, she also stated that the sangria had to meet made from scratch and they had run out. I have worked as a server before and know that it is crucial to let the kitchen know when items are running low, especially if it takes 20+ minutes to make from scratch. Well, I appreciate explanation, it made me think there was a lack of organization or communication with back of house andfront of house.
As for the food, I thought it was way overpriced for what I received. The deviled eggs were very good, however, the salami (or genoa?) looked and tasted like something I could have picked up at Publix. The pimento cheese barely had a taste to it, and I only received two chunks of white cheddar cheese. Not worth what I paid for nor having to wait 55 to 40 minutes for my food. Lastly, I sat andwaited for a long time to receive the bill and then finally pay it and then receive the credit card back. All in all, one appetizer and two drinks later and I was there for over two hours when I had just wanted a quick snack.
All in all, but I will see is that the patio was very nice to sit out on, but it definitely will not be a reason for me to ever come back. I have had very few terrible experiences at a restaurant, and I would put this in the top five.
Maybe it's called culinary dropout for a reason?
