I think about this place often and as I’m writing this review I’m thinking it might be time to revisit. I followed friends here and I hadn’t heard about it before so I had very little expectations and was pleasantly surprised, I sent compliments to the chief. It seems pretty basic, just chicken and biscuits, salad, nothing special but when I tell you it was the best we’ve had? 10/10 would highly recommend. Everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious. Service was outstanding. Very vibey and chill.. perfect for pretty much anything, I think - date night, girls night, family dinner, etc. I think I saw a section with wall games like darts and stuff (not sure). I enjoyed myself and will be making another trip there soon!

Where do I start? My friend and I travel for work and we are ALWAYS trying to find some of the best food places around. He suggested this one (maybe because he’s also a chef lol) but man 10/10. The environment is really welcoming and our server was so pretty and so nice! He got an old fashion beverage which seemed to go down pretty quickly! I wanted a salad to start because I was SO HUNGRY and she explained to us that sides could be changed (if needed) so I added a House Salad and changed my coleslaw for Brussels sprouts (GREAT CHOICE BTW). My friend kept it original and kept the slaw. I must say, that is some of the BEST friend chicken I’ve had. A breast, leg, and thigh ALL fried to perfection! Seasoned so well. My potatoes were warm but honestly still delicious. This spot was definitely a HIT. Would absolutely recommend going to the one in Dunwoody and they’re so good I’d try them again in a different location and wouldn’t expect anything less than this experience!

I really enjoyed my only restaurant experience in Atlanta on this trip. Our server was the best and the food was delicious! There was a DJ on the other side of the bar. I wasn't sure if that was because it was Friday night. This restaurant is family and friendly and there is a beautiful outdoor seating area for when the weather is warmer.

Culinary Dropout in Sandy Springs completely blew us away! The environment was absolutely beautiful—chic, vibrant, and welcoming. From the moment we walked in, the service was top-tier. Every staff member we encountered was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. We started with the Prosciutto Deviled Eggs and the Soft Pretzels with Provolone Fondue—both were packed with flavor and set the tone for an incredible meal. My husband ordered the Fried Chicken with a buttermilk biscuit, smashed potatoes, and gravy. It was comforting, crispy, and cooked to perfection. The right amount of saltiness. I had the Mongolian Short Rib with charred scallion, broccolini, a soft egg, crispy rice, and Thai chili—it was bold, unique, and absolutely unforgettable. Every bite was perfection. The Sangria was also a standout—refreshing and perfectly balanced. Out of hundreds of restaurants I've tried, this one ranks at the very top of my list. If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience in Atlanta, Culinary Dropout is a must. We will definitely be back!

This is the first time I’ve had culinary drop out here. Last time I had culinary dropout was in Austin about 7 years ago and it’s still as good as I remember it was. The vibes were nice and fancy but the prices were reasonable. Drinks are delicious and that’s definitely where they earn their margins though.

We had an amazing time! The waiters and hostess were friendly and accommodating. We ordered the Crispy Chicken Katsu sandwiches, french fries, and caesar salad. The food came out fast, and everything was hot and fresh. We also got the Evil Jungle Princess and Pretty Easy cocktails, both of which were excellent! The overall vibe and ambiance matched the food and service perfectly. I can’t wait to come back and try some of their other menu items and drinks.

Google
This restaurant was okay. I guess for the price, I expected better quality. I got the Crispy Chicken Katsu, and the sandwich had good flavor, just a little greasy. Presentation was an afterthought, as you can from the pic. The frozen were those packaged frozen fries that you heat up. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly. I may come back to try a different dish so I can update this review.

Google
My first time and will definitely go back. Went during the lunch hour. Not a lot of people because it's unreasonably cold in GA. I was able to be seated immediately. The servers were so nice. I brought my laptop to work and have a bite. I ordered red wine with the spicy shrimp crispy rice. SOOOOO GOOD. the fried rice underneath a chopped and well seasoned spicy shrimp and underneath the rice was a chili sweet sauce that took it over the top. You get 4 and trust me, it's enough as a starter. I also ordered what they call Yesterday's soup. It was a tomato bisk. The taste gave me hints of basil, fire grilled tomatoes and on top was pieces of fresh toasted bread. What a treat. This spot is right inside the Perimeter near Cumberland Mall. When you want to go have a meal, chill out and have a nice beverage with great conversation with a friend or someone at the bar, this is the spot. They WILL treat you right. My meal was $53. The alcohol is always the up charge but reasonably priced overall.

Yelp
Food was great!! Service was amazing from the front door to the table! Our server Bianca was the best!

Kaelyn C.

Yelp
Got there on a busy night, seemed like a cooperate event was going on. 45 minute wait for a table so we just sat at the bar. Waitstaff was friendly. We got the pretzels with fondue and were really happy with what we got. It came with lots of pretzel bites and the cheese sauce was served in a small cast iron dish with a candle under it to keep the cheese warm. Steak frites were also very tasty **Realized I wrote my review for the other location a few months back and am reposting my review to the correct location**

Ishara F.

Yelp
Food was very tasty, service was pretty nice. Cocktails that we tried were made really well (forgot to take photos). The only few compliants I had was that the hostess at the front was on the phone with someone for a really long time. I was expecting her to put the person on the phone on hold for just a minute to greet us and get us with a server but she stayed the entire 8 minutes on the call. The silverware and water glasses also needed to be cleaned. We sent a glass and some silverware back because they were dirty.

Carli A.

Yelp
I highly recommend the Katzu Chicken Sandwich! It's crispy but tender& the flavor is perfect! The Brussels are to die for too! The pretzel bites are a generous portion but nothing particularly stands out about them. My husband got the fried chicken and enjoyed it though I would suggest asking them to heat up the biscuit before serving.

Yelp
This place will always be a favorite in my eyes! From The drinks to the burgers and appetizers, try them out!

Yelp
We stopped by Culinary Dropout for lunch on a Sunday, and it was such a wonderful experience! The vibe was cute as beloved with stylish decor that feels inviting and effortlessly cool. I started with an Espresso Martini, which was perfectly balanced and delicious, while my husband ordered an Old Fashioned that he raved about. For food, I went with the Beer-Battered Fish and Chips--crispy, golden, and so satisfying. My husband had the Pub Burger with fries, which he said was juicy, flavorful, and hit the spot. Our kiddo ordered the Chicken Tenders and Fries, and let's just say the plate was completely cleared. The service was top-notch--attentive, friendly, and quick. This place is an absolute gem, and I can't wait to return. Highly recommend for a relaxed, yet elevated dining experience!

Yelp
I have been to the Culinary Drop out in the downtown location, as well as the location in Charlotte, NC. After doing a little shopping at perimeter mall I was in need of a bite to eat and figured I would check out this location. Upon my arrival a staff greeted me and mentioned that someone would be with me shortly. After waiting for about 5 minutes another staff approached and apologized for the wait and did seat me. This was interesting because there were very few patrons in the restaurant, but a ton of staff on duty. Once I was seated my wait staff did come over quickly to greet me as well as take my drink order. I ended up having just a cup of water, the black truffle mushroom pizza, and the Brussel sprouts. The food came out in decent time. Admittedly I have had the pizza at the Charlotte location and must admit it was better there. The Brussels were ok, but I would not have to have them again. While the service started off rough, it did improve during my dinning experience. However, I don't feel like the food is consistent across locations. I think I will stick with the downtown location that I fell in love with.

Tim D.

Yelp
I ordered the Chopped Chicken and it was amazing! The service was outstanding and the ambiance was great. I'll be back!

Yelp
Love this addition to the Dunwoody food scene. Have always gotten good food and good service here. Tonight I ordered the manchego cheese a la carte as a starter. It didn't come w bread, so I had to order a side of bread as well ($5.50 for 4 pieces). I wish it was allowed to order just a slice of bread for like $1.50/ea bc I ended up throwing away 3 slices of bread I didn't need:/ I got my usual house salad w salmon, and changed out the buttermilk dressing for the Thai curry vinaigrette dressing. It was the perfect salad! Don't underestimate their house salad, the vegetables are so fresh, and the heirloom carrots are swoon worthy. Had great service tonight from Abby too!

Yelp
Now this is a good spot in a good area. They have a myriad of types of food for you to try. I actually went in because they have Detroit style pizza, even though they were out of it, it was still a really good spot randomly try. They have an outdoor and indoor area so depending on what the weather you can sit outside because there's plenty of patio space. And on the patio it's right facing a central parkish area so you'll see a lot of people out walking and playing and things like that. Now. If you don't want to see all those people, I suggest you don't stay outside LOL. Service was good. I came on a premium night so it was a bit slow though, even to the point to where I had to wait to get water to wash down the food, but I have understanding for the service industry so I'm not going to bash anybody for that because sometimes those type of nights get super crowded. But overall I feel like outside of that it was still really good on the service tip. From the way staff to the hostess table, I have any complaints about that. They have a very large bar and the area and the space that it's in is very big. So even if it is kind of crowded you should still be able to find a seat somewhere. They have some TVs at the bar so you can watch a game. But if you wanted a pure sports bar this would not be the place for you. But don't let that dissuade you. They also have a DJ there. I'm sure it's not every night, but the night that I went they had a DJ playing as well so that was actually pretty cool. It's in a strip mall shopping area. So it's free parking. It's not like you're in the middle of midtown, you're in the Dunwoody area so they don't have to worry about any paying to park so that's always a bonus. Crispy popcorn shrimp - This was pretty good for an appetizer. I probably would not get it again but it was okay. To me. It was decent but I feel like the sodium content was off the charts LOL. It was a little salty for me. Peking duck fried rice - Now I had the fried rice here and this was actually good as well. It kind of had the same issue as the previous appetizer I mentioned, it was a little salty, but it didn't have a balance so that was actually pretty okay. Again. Like I said in the beginning, I actually came for pizza so this was not my first choice but I wanted to try something and it was pretty decent. Overall I would absolutely go back. I feel like they have a lot in the area and a lot inside the establishment itself. I'm definitely going to go back for the pizza LOL but if you want a good decent hangout spot, that you feel safe and you can walk around after you finish eating, this will be a good selection.

Yelp
Nice place for a birthday dinner/date night but honestly very mid. Food is alright but pricey, and the kitchen was out of so many items when I went. I got the crispy chicken katsu and it was alright. Decent portion size, great side salad, but it felt like the flavor was only coming from whatever sauce they were using while the actual cutlet was pretty bland. I'll give this place some grace since we had a large table, but the service was incredibly slow from start to finish. It took a long time for the food to come out, and it took equally as long for them to bring the checks even though we signaled for them. Our reservation was at 7:30pm, and we left around 10:15pm as soon as we were done signing the checks. They do have an extensive cocktail menu with some zero proof drinks that several people at my table were enjoying. Parking in the area is free (garage, along the shops, side lots, etc).

Kiyah G.

Yelp
Stopped in for pre-shopping lunch. I ordered the Asian Crunch with shrimp and the Spicy Shrimp Crispy Rice. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was cute and fun and the service was great. I'll return!

Emma H.

Yelp
We had made a reservation for 5PM on a weekday, expecting it to be busy with happy hours and after-work dinners. When we arrived it was empty, but it began filling up pretty soon after. We had an amazing server, I think his name was James (I was late so I missed the arrival/intro!) and he made absolutely fantastic recommendations. I wanted the espresso martini but with some modifications, which he handled brilliantly and even made suggestions himself. It's quite a large space and I imagine it would get quite noisy with a full service, but it was perfect for a catch up with friends, great drinks and delicious food. I look forward to returning for dinner soon.

Yelp
Yesterday afternoon I dined at Culinary Dropout for the first time with my mom and bonus dad who were in town visiting from Alabama. The lunch crowd had already been thru so it was a nice space to sit and talk while we dined inside. I had the Shaved Prime Rib Dip with French fries and it was delicious. The bread was very soft and tasty and everything came out hot. The fries were perfection. My Bonus Dad had the Beer Battered Fish & Chips which he enjoyed and commented that the tater sauce was amazing and the waitress shared it was homemade in house. My mom enjoyed the Roasted Salmon that comes with Butternut Squash Risotto and garden herb pesto. She said she would have licked her bowl clean had it been appropriate to do so. The waitress was very attentive refilling our drinks often and checking on us throughout the meal. We decided since lunch was such a great experience we would hang around a little longer and order dessert. We ordered two monkey breads and a special apple pie over soft serve. Each portion was huge and we could have shared one. The monkey bread was fresh from the oven (we had to wait about 10 minutes) with a side of vanilla Icecream. It was amazing. The restaurant is huge and very well appointed. We thought our experience was above and beyond and that we would definitely recommend visiting and we will be back. I wanna try brunch sometime. From walking in to just see the menu to leaving wanting to write a 5 star review. This is an example of how it is done. I call it money well spent. Wish I had taken a photo.

Yelp
Culinary dropout located in Perimeter was easy to find. It's located on Ashford Lane. It's surrounded by several businesses. Free parking behind the restaurant. You can dine inside or outside. They have a nice event or party area that you can reserve. Lunch is always better with great company. The inside decor was very nice. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We enjoyed learning about culinary dropout. The appetizer shrimp were really good with a garlic aioli sauce. Medium-sized shrimp and fried slivers of zucchini. It was enough for 2 to share. My cousin loved her old fashion. I decided to try the Evil Jungle Princess. It was pretty good. The Chopped Chicken salad was really good. The chicken is a BBQ chicken. The salad lettuce is tossed in ranch dressing with all the remaining toppings on top. All the ingredients taste fresh. My cousin enjoyed her fried chicken. It came with a leg, thigh, and breast. You can choose dark or white. Definitely come back because there were so many items I wanted to try. Price point was in between. Check it out!!

Yelp
We came here as a group of four with a reservation late on a Saturday afternoon. The space is quite large with a hip and eclectic vibe. Loud music was piled in until the weekend entertainment began performing on the small stage. We ordered a few cheese selections (pimento and manchego) as well as some crusty bread to start. The cheese was nice but the amount provided was quite small for the price. I had a Cheap House Salad with buttermilk ranch. It was a nice little salad, perhaps not worth $8.50. I also had the Peking duck and shrimp fried rice. It was very tasty but spicy. It was quite saucy and had the consistency of pad Thai, not fried rice. Uncle Roger (IYKYK) would likely say hiyaaa! Our friend also ordered this and could not eat much due to the spice. My wife had the Spicy Vegan Curry with sweet potato, eggplant, and black rice . This was very tasty with a pretty good spice as well. Another friend had the Prime Rib sandwich with a house salad as a side. They stated they enjoyed it. The service was pleasant and consistent, refilling beverages without being asked and checked in regularly. When we were leaving, the place was getting quite full. They appear to get a hopping, popular joint. I would try it again, though I do feel the prices are a bit high for what you get in return.

Yelp
The views and the service in here is beautiful. I am from Detroit. I was visiting in Dunwoody when we went here on a Wednesday. I heard it was good before but this time...not so much. We ordered nachos pizza, beer battered fish and chips. & my lil niece had a cheeseburger. Nachos Came out cold. While it had good flavor. They were cold. The Fish and chips were pretty good but look at the portions they gave us. Three baby fish sticks and a few fries. Even when we got the cheeseburger there weren't a lot of fries. Pizza Being from Detroit I have to get it. These guys advertise their pizza as Detroit style. When they should just call it a square pizza. This not a Detroit style pizza. The crust was thin & it was just lacking in almost every department. I personally don't think anyone in this facility had a Detroit Deep dish before. Come to the city & I'll show you what it should be like. The burger looked like the best thing at the table. First time I ever ordered so much and the burger looked the best. Overall this was a bit disappointing especially for the price. However this place is in a phenomenal area. Who ever is doing the staffing here is doing a great job. The waitresses/waiters are great. Drinks are good. The views are great too. Food is just lacking but maybe I went on an off day. Don't look at this review and say eh I don't wanna try this place now. Try it for yourself. Lots of people like it here & you might too!

Yelp
Parking (following Google maps) dropped us in a lot behind the building that had us a little confused; however, I'm glad we got there and got a parking spot when we did late Saturday afternoon because by the time we were leaving, it was full - so much so that two cars were vulturing around and glaring at our group saying our goodbyes in the parking lot because they wanted us to vacate our spots! The space - awesome! Very trendy/industrial and spacious. The interior was comfortable and the restrooms were clean. All of the hosts and servers were very friendly. The food took ages to arrive and when it did, only 2 of our party of 10 were pleased with the food. The quality and quantity couldn't justify the cost for any of us. The waygu pigs in blankets tasted like something I'd make at home with cocktail weinies and crescent rolls (yummy, but not dinner-out amazing.) The menu also should've added to the Korean ribeye cap description that its little meat slivers were bathed in spice - the couple who ordered it couldn't finish because their tastebuds were scorched. None of the other meals were a stand-out except the Asian crunch salad and the appetizer fondue. This whole area of Dunwoody is so youthful and fun that I'd come back just for a drink and to stroll/hang in the green space, but doubtful for dinner.

Kena V.

Yelp
I seriously do not understand why this place is missing a star Absolutely nothing bad to note about this beautifully outfitted restaurant. I loooove how all the menu options are crafted perfectly. My friend had the fried chicken w/Brussel sprouts and I enjoyed the fish & chips since they were out of the Peking duck. After noticing neither of us had said a word since our food had arrived, we bursted into laughter at how we were enthralled in conversation until we began inhaling out food. And to top it off, the wait staff was too tier; Particularly, Bianca. Every suggestion was 10 outta 10 ::chefs kiss::

Gina B.

Yelp
Had a baby shower brunch here. The service was great, food great, prices great. The only reason for 4 star is I felt menu was limited.

Alanis S.

Yelp
I was expecting more from this place considering the reviews and price point. I ordered the wagyu pigs in a blanket and i'm convinced there was 0 wagyu in them. I also ordered the cacio e pepe and it was more like an alfredo. The food was a 7/10. The atmosphere was great though and i've had great drinks here before! I just suggest menu revamp.

Sade C.

Yelp
Oh. My. Gosh. The Peking duck and shrimp fried rice is incredibly tasty. You can taste every seasoning and ingredient. My date and I shared that dish along with the battered fish and chips. We ordered the pigs in a blanket for an appetizer. Our food and drinks were brought out within 15 minutes of ordering. We dined on their outside patio--seated on a cushioned piece of furniture with string lights hanging above us. Very cute. I'm eager to return and try more items on the menu.

Bethany C.

Yelp
This place is a upscale but comfortable place for families and large gatherings. The food was amazing. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the ribs. Service was decent and friendly. We'll be back!

Liana M.

Yelp
I was in the area for a conference and was so happy there was a Culinary Dropout by our hotel! My friend and I dined in on Friday night. We were welcomed in by a friendly crew at the front. The restaurant was at about half capacity around 7pm, so we had no issue getting a seat. They had a really great playlist on! I had a pub burger with side salad. The salad was a great way to balance the burger. The burger itself was flavorful and well-seasoned. My friend had the crispy shrimp Caesar salad and enjoyed it as well. Our server was awesome and really friendly. In fact, I think service at this location is the best of any of the other locations I've been to! I would absolutely come back to this location if I'm back in the area.

Meka D.

Yelp
I came here for a double date with my sister. I love the location. They have really build up this area. Arrive early if you made reservations. Parking is free but will take a minute to find. There are a lot of businesses nearby. Service was amazing. We never had to ask for anything. The cocktails were delicious. If you want an app, get the pork belly nachos. It's was soo good. Big portion to share. Entree I got steak frites. The steak was so juicy and tender. The live music was great. We were vibing. Follow me on IG @miss_mekad to see videos!

Jody M.

Yelp
I was on this side of town at liquor Costco (IYKYK). I was going to Politan Row and decided to give this place a chance. Glad I did. I had the fish and chips. Yummy. Crisp but light. Fries were fried just right too. I'm kinda a coleslaw snob and enjoyed this one very much. I think one of the best parts was getting to talk to Kerry the bartender. She was so sweet. She also makes a pretty good bloody mary. Next time I'm gonna try a spicy one. Even though we live in town, I'll be bringing the husband.

Tari O.

Yelp
I stopped in to order a to go dish at the bar, but I'll be back! Located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking, this mixed cuisine restaurant has something for everybody. There's a large bar with TVs to watch the game. Table seating as well as a few outdoor tables. Everyone who worked there was lovely. I enjoyed a gin and bubbles cocktail while I waited, and I ordered a duck and shrimp stir fry dish to go. The dish was delicious! Highly recommend. Looking forward to trying more of their menu.

Dave B.

Yelp
Brunch was delightful. Live music, indoor or outdoor- great menu The staff is attentive and ready to make sure your cocktails are full! Portions are large! Try this for a reasonably priced meal.

Ree T.

Yelp
This is a really cool place. It's located in a shopping area with parking and sidewalks. You can eat inside or outside. I sat outside and the outside is screened in. The service was good. I was seated quickly and the food did not take long to come out. I had the vegan curry. When I tell you I think I could eat this dish every day! It was so flavorful and all the veggies tasted fresh.

Kelly W.

Yelp
Great spot for dinner! My friend and I stopped in for dinner one night and had a great experience. The decorating and atmosphere were lovely, although the music choices did not match with the vibe the decor was giving off. I didn't mind the music (R&B and rap) but it just seemed like the two didn't match. Anyway, we ordered a couple apps, the pretzel bites and brussel sprouts (upon recommendation of our server), cocktails and we each got a sandwich. Everything was great, the portions were large and service was quick. I got the asian style chicken sandwich, I can't remember exactly what it was called but was unique and very tasty. My friend said he had food envy when he saw my sandie. Their menu had a good variety of entrees without it being overwhelming, there was something for every type of eater. Culinary Dropout was a great little spot!

Mya H.

Yelp
Attended the soft opening with a friend. There was a live band playing upon arrival. We ordered the BBQ porkbelly nachos to start. I'm not sure what type of cheese they use on the nachos but it was good. I would say they could have added more pico de gallo and guacamole. For our mains, I ordered the steak and frites and my friend had the 36-hr pork ribs. I loved the truffle butter on the steak but it was slightly undercooked as I prefer medium well (steak was slightly mooing). I tried my friend's pork ribs and they were really good! While we were eating our food, a waiter came and brought us an extra mocktail that was made at the bar. I don't quite remember the name but it was delicious. For dessert we ordered the monkey bread which was disappointing. It needed more cinammon. Overall, this is a great new edition to the Dunwoody/ Sandy Springs area and I will keep this restaurant in my rotation.

Yelp
New hot spot near Perimeter Mall. This area is becoming revitalized some with new spots to eat and walkability. There is even a fake grass lawn area for kids to play. Reminds me of the Avalon some but MUCH smaller. Two trips here thus far and I'll go over the great, good and bad. Great: their drinks and ambiance. Both non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks are amazing. They have house peach sweet tea and their ginger ale was also fire. It tasted more like a ginger beer but with a big dose of ginger. Their cocktails are unique and different. The campfire bourbon drink was something I've yet to try with that combo. Fresh ingredients for the mixers are on full display. Love the wide and open area with high top tables, booths, low tops and outdoor covered seating. Open view into the kitchen and a more modern but elegant setting for the scene. They do have live music! Good: their food. Close to great. First trip I had the Detroit style cheese pizza. Loved that the crust had almost a burnt goldfish taste to it. It was big enough to fill me up. Second trip I had the crispy chicken Katsu. Muuuch better than the pizza. The house made Japanese milk bread really set it off! Bad: the price for the pizza was too much. Maybe a $15 pizza? They also burnt the crust a bit too much. Maybe that's why they call it culinary dropout? Also, both trips, I had to use the bathroom fairly quickly after eating, more so after the pizza. Call it TMI, but I barely made it home in time after eating the pizza. Overall, I would highly recommend for drinks and their menu. Pricing could use some work to make this spot a regular. Will be back again!

Lili J.

Yelp
Got to visit during their soft opening and I thought it was pretty good. The roasted salmon was delicious! Loved the flavors and the butternut squash farro risotto went so well with it. The rainbow trout was also good and pretty different flavorwise from the salmon, it was very buttery. Loved the drinks as well, they have a huge selection! Tried the tropical princess mocktail and I really enjoyed it. It had a unique flavor, tasted like pineapple, lime, and cinnamon, but definitely worth a try. The espresso martini was also really good. We got the whipped tahini and feta dip for an appetizer and it was okay but the flavor of the dip overpowered all of the toppings and just wasn't my favorite flavor. The monkey bread was also just okay, tasted like apple pie which I liked but the dough was bland and didn't have much flavor. It was the soft opening so giving some grace with everything but it was a little slow to get everything. Our server was nice but it felt like people were constantly checking in on us even though we had no food yet. Loved the vibe as well. It is a nice big open space and it looks beautiful inside. They also have live music some nights which I really enjoyed. Overall, a good experience although I do think it was a little pricey but I would go back and try some other things from the menu.

Sandra B.

Yelp
I've ordered the pasta bolognese twice in two weeks. It's so good to me because the noodles are cooked just right and the sauce is light and not very tomato-ey. Don't worry, the flavor is there. I wish it came with garlic bread. The staff is always friendly when I order and pick up. The ambiance is pretty chilled. It is ideal for after-work and family gatherings. There's something on the menu for everyone.

Collin B.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic! The decor is cool, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. Wow.

Yelp
Being from the northeast, I feel like I'm maybe a little picky when I come down south because it's hard to find food I like lol. The culinary dropout was a good experience, thankfully. In a cute area with a nice interior - we were swiftly served and taken care of. The charcuterie and salmon dip were nice and the wagyu pigs in a blanket were pretty good. The pasta bolognese was great. Overall good experience, well done!

Yelp
This place was nice. The food was tasty and the service was good. I can't wait to come back and try other Items on the menu.

Yelp
The service was good and the food was okay. It was packed inside the restaurant and there were a lot of big parties of coworkers there. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and it was a little pink so I asked them to cook it more or remake it. They remade it and it looked better however it was fried so hard that I couldn't really eat it.

Yelp
Great from beginning to end. Our server was nice, informative and let us take our time enjoying ourselves. She knew how to sell without being overbearing. The restaurant has all sorts of little nooks and corners and different seating that appeals to a variety of diners. We sat in a really comfy little booth. The menu has so many things I would like to try (and will come back to do so), but we wound up having the house chips, the Roasted Salmon, and the monkey bread for dessert. I'm a sucker for an onion dip and the one that came with the chips was a great start. The butternut squash and farro risotto in the salmon were outstanding. Loved it! And the monkey bread was tasty with apples and little bit of ice cream to nosh on. Great way to round out a meal. It was the perfect size to share and not feel like a total glutton. I look forward to coming back!

Yelp
Came here on a weekday afternoon for an early dinner with my husband and toddler. We were immediately sat at a booth and our server was very sweet and attentive. My husband ordered the melon spritz mocktail and he really liked it! For appetizer we ordered the crusty bread which was delicious and the wagyu pigs in a. blanket which was good. We shared the fish and chips for dinner and the fish was flaky and batter was crunchy. The coleslaw was a little too salty and the french fries were good. We had the monkey bread for dessert and it was very yummy! Plenty of seating inside and outside and nice modern decor with a big bar in the middle. We enjoyed ourselves!

Yelp
Food was so good. I got the salmon which was cooked to perfection. Also got a side of broccolini and mashed potatoes. Our server was so great. She paid attention to details and really made sure we got what we wanted. I'm picky and that was some of the best food I've had. They were open late and we actually ended up here on accident. Will definitely be a regular. Great music. Great vibes. And you can see the kitchen. Cutest spot. Thank you for a great night with the best quick service. It was so good I forgot to take pictures.

Yelp
This was our first time on 12/14/24. We made reservations but were seated early. There was even live music. Our waitress was great the customer service was great. The drinks and the food were amazing. Everything is made fresh but it didn't take long for out appetizer and food to come out. This will surely be one of our spots.

Yelp
So so so good! I really enjoyed the food here. I ordered the Peking Duck and Shrimp Fried Rice, and it was the best thing I've had in my life. The inside is moody and chic. While our server was amazing, we initially had to wait 15minutes before we could be seated despite there being empty tables.

Yelp
I've been to culinary dropout for dinner. And I had to check out their branch. Let me tell you if I never have anything else for brunch. I want these two items that I had every time I had brunch there. The banana French toast is too... Die... For! I was very skeptical to get it because I am not a banana fan, but the waitress told me that I had to try it so I went with her recommendation and got it. She did not fail me at all. The bananas for the French toast are only because they top it with bananas, so that was perfect for me. I just push those to the side and dug into that delicious bread. They give you caramel sauce to drizzle on top And syrup. Let me tell you that was heaven on a plate. Best French toast I have ever had in my life. Now let's talk about that breakfast pizza. That pizza had bacon, sausage, eggs, and arugula. It also had this delicious sauce on it. Their pizzas are a Detroit style pizza so it's deep dish and it has a buttery crust with cheese around it. My mouth is watering, just telling you guys about this. Both of those dishes will make you the happiest person. If you never follow a recommendation for me, please follow this one. When you go to culinary dropout, you have to get these two items for brunch... Thank me later.

Yelp
Was really excited to try culinary dropout and I decided to come for brunch with a friend! I had a reservation but it wasn't super busy so I don't think you'd really need one here. Our server was great and the food came out super quickly! I had their sausage, bacon, and egg pizza and my friend had their smoked salmon plate and I absolutely loved my pizza! The smoked onion Alfredo sauce was sooooo good and the plate was huge and I ended up bringing half of it home! We then shared their monkey bread which was just an apple crumble with vanilla ice cream. It was alright, but I preferred the brunch plates more! Overall I liked the new culinary dropout! I'd love to come back for dinner at some point too!

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Culinary Dropout for lunch, and I opted to sit outdoors where the ambiance was particularly pleasant. I ordered the garden salad with grilled salmon. While the salad was hearty, I found that the carrots were sliced too thickly and overpowered the delicate greens. Adding avocado was a good decision to help me swallow the hefty slices of carrots. Sorely missed were tomatoes, which would have assisted with consumption. The blue cheese dressing was too dense, and when I requested balsamic vinegar, I was given what tasted like teriyaki sauce, which helped me consume the hefty vegetables. The star of my meal was undoubtedly the salmon, the hummus, accompanied by a refreshing cucumber lemon mocktail. Despite being a lite fish-eating vegetarian, I found the entree options somewhat limited. I am in no rush to return, but I would like to give Culinary Dropout another try to determine if this place is a hit or miss.

Yelp
Dropped in to this location on a recent stay in Sandy Springs. Great spot! Large bar, comfortable chairs & TVs all around. Beautiful patio for outdoor seats. We had the pork belly nachos, the slicer (chef's choice charcuterie), an old fashioned & evil jungle princess (rum drink). Everything was delicious. The nachos have shredded pork belly - so not the big fatty bacon chunks - but full of pork belly flavor. Our server, I'm sorry her name escapes me, was very helpful with menu and bar selections. We will probably return during this trip & can't wait to visit the Birmingham location when I get home.

Yelp
Visited Culinary Dropout on a Thursday at 9 PM and was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was perfect, with dimmed lighting that made for a cozy evening. Parking was a breeze with plenty of spaces behind the building--no valet necessary. Though the outdoor seating looked amazing, I opted to sit at the bar. The bartender was not only attentive but also great company. I enjoyed a glass of Cabernet and ordered the steak frites, which were delicious. I also shared a salmon dip and even dared to try the soup (and I don't even like soup), which turned out to be amazing. Simple food done right. I've added this to my list of go-to spots for quick bites. Highly recommend!
