The Black Entrepreneurs Behind Charleston's Food Scene - AFAR

"This culinary school is notable for employing Kevin Mitchell as its first Black chef-instructor; he brings scholarly focus on Southern foodways and the African diaspora, advocates for preserving regional ingredients like Carolina Gold rice and Sea Island red peas, and organizes events that pair food with cultural and historical enrichment." - AFAR
