Culler de Pau

"O Grove, a peninsula with stunning coves of fine white sand, is the location of Culler de Pau, a restaurant separated from the sea by a valley full of cornfields and small orchards; it is also where chef Javier Olleros has his family home and where he runs this business with his wife, Amaranta Rodríguez, and Japanese chef Takahide Tamaka. The ethos behind this restaurant is underpinned by a concern about issues such as obesity, the climate crisis and fast food culture. In the minimalist-style dining area with large windows and spectacular views of the estuary, discover “zero-mile” cooking on a “symbolic” à la carte and three set menus (Ronsel, Marexada and Descuberta) that reflect a commitment to the environment and to the Atlantic. Culler de Pau has its own vegetable garden, hence its desire for guests to share in the immediate pleasure of tasting herbs and other produce that has just been harvested and which form the basis of its aromatic soups. Make sure you take a stroll through the garden before eating and enjoy a coffee in the stylish winter greenhouse!" - Michelin Inspector

Loved the experience of garden to table. Their passion for sharing information on their local produce was both charming and knowledgeable. The presentation and quality of each delicacy was not only visually exciting but a gastronomic delight.

Celebrated a surprise lunch birthday here - they went beyond expectations! The setting is relaxed with elegance. I always like that the table is round thus everyone enjoyed the beautiful sea & garden view the restaurant offers. There are lot of points that this place is of higher state than a one star michelin : from the comfortable chair, napkins being replenished, cutleries is set up accordingly rather than lining it up at once. The plates used in every dish is accurate to savour the food in the right manner. The timing of every dish is excellent. The staff are looking smart without arrogance unlike most fancy restaurants in other parts of the world. Now, let’s talk about the food: I must say it started and ended with the same first class grace and tastes - standing ovation for me all in all. An honour to be eating here - Chef Javier Olleros hats off for your hospitality and magnificent passion you created on everything served to us. You inspired someone so special in our family!! Muchos gracias!!!

Google
2 michelin stars, we had an amazing meal here. I also recommend going to Pepe Vieria, the other best restaurant in Galicia.

Was good, was pretty but really ask yourself do you love Galician cuisine? If not, this won’t convert you. We were at Terra the evening before and that was more to our tastes (more smoked and cured meats). Very creative and unconventional though, cool garden (under construction) und tableware.

The menus are the embodiment of capturing in a sustainable manner the seasonal availability of prime ingredients from the ecological garden and the surrounding environment to create dishes with multiple layers of flavors and textures that are visually appealing. You are attended by a courteous and talented team, that will ensure that you will have a wonderful experience and are happy to guide you through the extensive wines. The Culler de Pau is my favorite two star Michelin restaurant. Bon appetit!!

We had the most amazing meal! Every dish was packed full of flavour and textures and so many tiny details that made them extraordinary. Everything from beginning to end was beautifully done. The local wines were excellent and the service always attentive and pleasant. You can tell how much work goes into everything they do, and they make you feel at home.

Yelp
Best fine dining restaurant in the Rias of Galicia, with splendid molecular food making good use of the fantastic ingredients from the region. The dinning room is a modern box hanging over the hill with a huge window into the sunset. Come in time for the sunset it is definitely best way to start your dinner.
