"New restaurant Cult, just around the corner at 1460 Third Street Promenade in the former Cafe Crepe space, is filled with checkered tile and deep jewel tones. Chef Kim Vu is turning out all-day fare from breakfast sandwiches and brunch staples to salads, burgers, bowls, and more." - Farley Elliott

First time eating here and I would recommend it for the food. We had two different paninis and shared them; they were super yummy. The bread was soft and Crispy; it made the sandwich. I also liked that it wasn't over stuffed, so all the ingredients stayed in the sandwich. My only issue was the atmosphere was a little odd. It's a cafe but also has a full bar. I couldn't tell if it was kid friendly, or only for an older crowd. It's counter service and felt a little over priced, but it is in a prime spot. A lot of people did take out so we saw a line form again and again. Take away: delicious, casual cafe (near the beach and shopping) where you can enjoy a drink as well.

Google
Beautiful! I had their lavender latte it was delicious! I even drank the lavender haha…that good yes! Super cozy and comfortable place to come and have great conversations. Bathroom was super clean. For a busy area that this place gets they definitely were keeping up with cleaning and taking good care of customers as you walk in. I can’t wait to try more lattes :)

Google
Food was delicious and the service was quick and theoughful. I totally recommend the advocado toast (it has peanuts) and tots. The back tables could use being refinished since the varnish is tacky. Atmosphere is really nice though with a modern chic feel.

Cult Cafe on a busy corner in Santa Monica was a much needed respite for a late afternoon coffee. The service was kind and friendly. The space had a dark off vibe...there was next to noone in it even though there was a lot of pedestrian traffic outside. We tried to order directly off the menu but were told they didn't make any of the specialty coffees on it anymore. So we just stuck with basic lattes.

What we tried: ⁣ 🍞 French Toast⁣ 🥑 My Big Fat Greek Avocado Toast⁣ 🍔 Breakfast Sandwich⁣ 🍟 Garlic French Fries⁣ 🍵 Matcha Latte⁣ ☕️ Oat Milk Cappuccino ⁣ ————————————————————— ⁣ 🌼 happy Sunday foodie fam!! We love Sundays. And we love Sunday brunches even more. If you’re in Santa Monica, you have to check out Cult. It’s open for both patio dining and indoor dining. Their coffees are superb. We love how they made the foam. It’s so smooth and creamy. Make sure to pair it with french toast, avocado toast or breakfast sandwiches. You can’t go wrong with whatever you choose. ⁣ ⁣ 💚 another thing I love about Cult is their interior design. Very airy and bright. Such a pretty & chill spot to spend with your family and friends. Hope you enjoy our recommendation. Bye bye 👋👋 ⁣

Went to this new spot I heard about to grab a coffee. Had an iced lavender latte with oat milk and it was a perfect balance of flavors. The lavender buds on top were a surprisingly delicious touch. We are going back for a second round today!

Google
Why is this $17!? It’s totally tasteless, there is NO service and a FULL staff? Place is really cute! If the services and prices weren’t so out of whack I would come work/study here! If I had known it would take 20 minutes for a lousy burrito at this price I would have gone to a proper sit down restaurant up the street like 1212 that’s basically the same price with proper service and tasty food. I came here thinking it would be quick

Google
Very cool spot right off the tourist heat of Santa Monica. The people who work here were nice and all I had was the coffee, the “Rose Dawson” special but it was great. Recommend for a chill place, good music, good vibes.

Yelp
MM introduced me to Cult a few months back when we shared a breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich sans the meat. I was surprised by how tasty both were. The breakfast burrito does contain French fries so that may be why I liked the extra little crunchy texture. It also comes with a spicy salsa and sour cream. I'm not a fan of sour cream and normally stay away from spicy but the salsa just paired so well with the breakfast burrito. The breakfast sandwich was also on point and filling! I also tried their yuzu boba which could be spiked. Let me tell you, I think there was a double shot in there! On my second visit of eating at the restaurant, my friend ordered the burrata avocado toast and another breakfast burrito. The toast was on point as well and I enjoyed the hazelnuts added. I felt healthier eating that before digging into the breakfast burrito. During the second visit, I also chose to get the yuzu tea again but this time without the alcohol. It is fantastic without the alcohol and we would learn from the man himself that it's because he used fresh fruit and really cares about the ingredients in his fruit teas. I would go back for this drink alone! The place itself is comfortable with quite a few small tables, a couple couches and is dog friendly. Service was friendly and our orders were taken quickly. It did take awhile for food to come out but that's because they're all hot items so they have to be cooked. Located at the end of the Third Street Promenade, I would definitely recommend this small business if you are in the downtown Santa Monica area!

Yelp
Good for coffee, a quick bite, sit down or to grab a drink. I almost left because it looked more like a coffe house, but I decided to give this place a shot. There are 3 menus: Coffee, drinks and food. They also have a glass case with ready to go food or pastries. You walk up to the counter and are greeted by a friendly staff member. First time here so I asked a couple of questions regarding the food and drinks. The gentleman assisting me was very helpful and took his time assisting me with my order. You can sit inside or outside. The inside was nice, not loud at all. Ordered a chicken panini with pesto. The chicken pieces are well seasoned, they come inside a buttery toasted baguette, spread of pesto, cheese, sun dried tomatoes, and avocado. Side of crispy fries? Yes please, Yum The Socal burger, comes on a buttery toasted bun, thousand island spread, lettuce, tomato, onion and cheese. I held off on the onion. It was juicy and just the right size. I also had an order of their tots. They were seasoned with sesame seeds and came with a spicy sweet sauce. I would order this again. Drinks we tried were the watermelon sugar, it was a smooth sweet drink and came with 3 watermelon gummies as garnish. The spicy Margarita was the perfect blend of spice and sweetness . Last but not least was the Moscow mule, a refreshing ginger based drink. It was a perfect place to grab a bite and drink. If you pass by don't think twice, drop in and try something.

Yelp
Well.. I used to come to this place before it was "Cult" (it was a crepe place), and I must say I am happy than "Cult" is now there also spreading love to people. It's a super cute little joint, and pretty good for breakfast, even though they are a little limited on options. I have chosen breakfast burrito which was delicious. I also tried Avocado toast that my friend had, also good, but no I kinda miss different breakfast options..like crepes . Coffee is great, also in the summer they have juices to go- super convenient.

Yelp
Gorgeous spot. The inside has such a welcoming and cozy vibe to it. They have spiked drinks and regular drinks. I didn't get the chance to try a baked item but they looked so delicious on display! The customer service was incredible! I had the sunset drink spiked and it was pretty strong in taste for the alcohol part.

Audrey K.

Yelp
We got one canned IPA and an espresso martini for $28. Buuuuut they had fries for $6 in Santa Monica so‍Pick your battle. They also had alcoholic boba which was cool. It wasn't that good but the ambiance and music was really cool. They had Drake pandora going the whole time and the furniture was really cute. So if you're looking for a nice expensive sit down and talk spot, go here. But it's super expensive.

Hamlet O.

Yelp
Great spot right on the corner of 3rd street and Broadway Must try cafe/bar Had to get the iced mocha which was amazing tasted amazing not to much cocoa perfectly done good job bartista Try their canned alcohol beverages it's actually pretty good Spicy margarita and regular margarita both are good

Nicole D.

Yelp
Coffee was so flavorless and looks like it has barely a shot of espresso. They were out of oat milk which is understandable, but the coffee itself is mediocre.

Arthur C.

Yelp
Had a quick stop for coffee and tried their flat white! Really good coffee and a beautiful place!

Jose G.

Yelp
My go to and local spot that never misses like Chef Curry with the shot boy! That shot is either of alcohol because they serve cocktails or coffee/espresso since they have the best Baristas in town. - Parking - You can park in the structure and I believe it's 90mins free across from Cult and next to the Tesla showroom. - Ambiance- very aesthetically pleasing and great for pics so get your Ig or TikTok on! - Service - Lena and Nick KILL IT!! They're basically the mayors of coffee town and probably gonna enter the barista hall of fame when they decide to retire. Lena is a ray of sunshine and such a joy to see like when your food is coming out of the kitchen. Nick is smooth and cool like butter! The whole staff is rad! - Food/drinks - My go to here is the Soyrizo Breakfast Burrito with 2 limes and extra hot sauce. The caffeinated drink is either The Other Paloma or Quad shot Americano. I highly recommend this place especially if you're at the promenade. Even if you're not, I would travel far for this caffeinated elixir!

Yelp
Great location in Santa Monica and you can definitely stop by if you are in he mood for a coffee or a snack. This place is covered with wifi and most of time are quiet for work and there is one seat with plug. The vintage green and the clash of orange also made this place great for some causal chats. We ordered some mocha latte and regular latte there in a reasonalbe price.

Yelp
Cult coffee has an amazing atmosphere. I was immediately drawn into the sophisticated café feel. Upon entering, I instantly was intrigued to learn more about this establishment. There are a wide variety of items an individual can explore: coffee, food, alcoholic drinks, pastries, and etc. I myself didn't purchase any food since I had lunch elsewhere before discovering Cult, however, I was quite intrigued by their "Strawberry Champagne Loaf" and considered coming back for it. Unfortunately, after receiving my latte, I wasn't as enthralled as I had been before. I ordered the "Clueless" latte which consists of rose, chocolate syrup, and oat milk. Firstly, I was really shocked by the price. My drink came out to be almost $10...Normally, I wouldn't be upset if the quality is unique enough and the size is decent. However, I didn't feel as though those factors were present to be worth the price. My coffee, as pictured below, is as big as a grande at Starbucks. For nearly $10, I expected a lot more. Additionally, I felt as though the oat milk really overpowered all the other flavors. My initial sip was great but I think I was also hyping it up more to not feel bad for spending as much as I did on a cup of coffee. I ended up tossing the quarter of the coffee at the end because it just tasted like oat milk. Overall, super cute idea. Is it worth the price? For me, unfortunately not. The coffee was about 3 stars but with the price and size of the coffee being a bit of a disappointment, it brings it significantly down to a 2 star rating.

Katherine M.

Yelp
Is a bar and a coffee shop! I got a matcha latte and a margarita at 10:00AM. Gorgeous aesthetic for photos and super friendly staff! Definitely coming back again!

Yelp
In all fairness before I review , the city if Santa Monica needs to post better signs of the public restrooms in the promenade so we could find them. My daughter needed to pee after we had been walking and shopping for a while , she ducked into the first bar she found and asked to use the restroom. We were dressed cleanly and we were kind. He said you have to buy something so my daughter said , "Mom, buy something and I'll go use the ladies room." The gentleman at the register stopped her and said, " Pay first" . I was fishing out some money and my daughter was clearly annoyed but then I managed to find a credit card instead of the cash I was fishing for and bought a diet coke which I later gave to a homeless man outside. My argument: the place seemed dingy at first but as I waited , I noticed it was actually unkempt and pretty nasty. In fact they had no patrons . I want to thank them for letting her use the bathroom but the chamber of commerce has an agreement with local eateries and bars which are supposed to allow access to restrooms to the public within reasonable limits. Anyway , I believe it is a hazard of their location and a choice they made when setting down on the corner. The place smelled too lime old garbage. If it were my place, Id take such good care of it and clean it and fix it up a bit play some great music , bring in some light and good food and make anyone who walked in feel welcome. This way they will come back. My first experience entering this establishment was my last , bathroom or not.

Yelp
Great location! Stopped by for pre-dinner cocktails.  It was just okay.   The hubster loved his cocktail, mine was meh.  Definitely pretty but just okay.  Went inside and kinda felt like we were just bothering them even though they were empty.  However, they were decently polite.  I couldn't give them more than 3 stars because other than the cool location, there just wasn't anything exciting.  Cocktails were okay (prices were kinda steep), staff was just okay.  Not a bad place to stop in if your in the area but I don't think I'd go out of my way. Although, this is just my opinion, my hubby loved it.  Thus, ymmv...give it a whir

Yelp
Ah, the tragedy of Cult. My friend made reservations for a group dinner here because we had 7 people, and no other places in Santa Monica would take a group that size. Someone in our party canceled last minute, and I wish we had more notice so we could have booked somewhere else, but alas... we endured through the experience of eating and drinking at the Cult. I'll start by saying that this is a very pretty spot, both indoors and outdoors. All the décor and furniture were on-point, but that's not why I come to restaurants. Because we sat outside, we had to order at the indoor counter, which was ideal for splitting what's normally a nightmare tab situation. Their menu is clearly laid out and available via QR code, and I did like all the cashiers and wait staff running the place. Now onto the unfortunate part... food and drink were terrible. No one liked their insanely expensive $15+ cocktail, which barely had any alcohol. After two drinks, we were all still completely sober. They tried to get clever with their ingredients, which I'm normally down to try, but their paloma tasted like watered down Jolly Rancher water. Then again, I'm pretty sure everything was poured from a can. For food, I got the "famous" garlic fries and Nashville hot chicken strips. The garlic fries were actually the best part, and everyone at the table enjoyed them. Not so much the basic dipping sauces. As for the chicken, the first bite I took was rubbery and undercooked. Like, I couldn't even bite through it. The rest of it was less so and still edible but not enjoyable. Super disappointing. Overall I know it's a new spot, so I hope they take the feedback from Yelpers (and others) to improve the food and drink. Seriously, don't use cocktail names if you can't live up to them. Again the service was great. Even when they got one of my friend's orders wrong and recooked the burger, they were sweet and apologetic about it. I won't be coming back here but hope to read more positive reviews in the future!

Stacy N.

Yelp
Aesthetically pleasing establishment with very tasty and yummy coffee! Food was ok, but we all enjoyed the chill vibe and fast service. Perfect to sit after walking around the promenade. Animal friendly which is also a big plus! Staff was friendly and also gave their recommendations for coffee.

Mallory C.

Yelp
My brunch plans one weekend were derailed (the place I planned on going was too crowded), so instead I tried out Cult on the Santa Monica promenade. I peeked inside and loved the menu of food and creative drinks, so I decided to try it! Love the laid back vibe. I got the Greek Avocado toast with garlic fries and the Spooky Season Hocus Pocus latte. Brunch plans were rescued with a delicious meal! Would definitely stop in again to see what's new and what other coffee drinks they come up with.

Mia T.

Yelp
I didn't care for the door greeter he was arrogant when I asked if I could restroom before ordering. He told me to go across street .. I almost didn't come back .. but I came back to wait in the line and someone was kind enough to hold place for me so I can use the restroom. I had a long Apple store visit and just couldn't wait .. the cashier was very nice and since I've never eaten there before I asked for a suggestion for something light. So I had the arugula pesto salad and a citrus ice tea .. very kind and pricing was a good value. Indoor and outdoor seating provided.. indoor is dim with candle light and low key music or patio seating by the fountain .. heating lamps provided. First impressions are everything for me..that is what stood out to me on this visit .

Arianne Victoria A.

Yelp
Made reservations for Friday night! They were very accommodating and gave us the option to be inside or outside. They have a designated blocked off area just for their restaurant. Dog friendly inside and out. Their chicken tenders were so good. I got the Thai tenders. Friendly service although when you sit outside, you have to go in to order and keep going in and out for things you need. But we did enjoy being outdoors and enjoying the live scene of the Promenade.

Javier S.

Yelp
Located right in the strip of the 3rd street promenade you have Cult where crepe cafe was. They offer both indoor & outdoor seating you'll order at the window or counter. I love that they have a variety of vegan and vegetarian options but also a menu for you carnivores haha! If you're a fan of matcha try the Lisa Frank drink. They have a variety of cocktails and Spritz I enjoyed the Rose Quartz it's the perfect day drinking drink. My friend and I tried the Vegan Cult & island burger so delicious you couldn't even tell it's vegan. The vegan avocado toast was good but too much greens piled on top the chickpeas were a great addition though. The veggie omelet my friend loved and I'm a sucker for good fries. I definitely recommend making as reservation as they do get slammed! Will be back!

Lanze A.

Yelp
Drawn in by the sophisticated vibe the outside of the cafe was giving. Ordered the Rose Dawson and the Lisa Frank. The staff was very kind and courteous. He explained the drinks in great detail! Of the two both my friend and I agreed that the Rose Dawson was better. Tasted more caffeinated and less gimicky. As aesthetically pleasing it is to have the flower petals, the amount made it a little hard to consume. Still a good place to try out if looking for something new!

Yelp
I went there for brunch more than a year ago and it was very nice. I have been going there just to get their amazing coffee who has orange in it but the last two times I couldn't get it bc the barista who knows how to make it wasn't there. I personally think that is a great corner but need more maintenance in the front where the food is.

Levy H.

Yelp
Rating the coffee and service only. Didn't try any hot food items. Came here and picked up a matcha latte and a chocolate mocha latte. Coffees were made perfectly as we requested and tasted amazing. We stopped by again on our way back down 3rd St. Promenade and ordered again with some coffee cake. Service was excellent both times. Also, bonus points for clean restrooms!

Lovina A.

Yelp
Okay, I tried at least 3 different coffees here and they were all sooo amazing!! The coffees were just out of this world. They're also very dog friendly and even provided my dog with water! I don't know why people are not hyping this place up! Definitely recommend coming in for their coffees in the morning and to have casual conversations with dog owners (coz there's a bunch of them there!!)

Jennifer L.

Yelp
located in the heart of 3rd street promenade, cult has an expansive menu for food, cocktails and coffee! I believe they were first discovered for their fun coffee options (cold brew + grapefruit syrup, cafe + rose, etc) but I didn't order any unfortunately (next time)! they are extremely vegan + gf friendly, but also have a lot of regular options as well. it's the best of both worlds. on top of this, their food is gorgeous- the presentation, the plates, absolutely everything. I got the.. - vegan lemon poppyseed scone: absolute 10/10. I would not have realized it was vegan if you didn't tell me. the texture and flavor were spectacular - black sesame salad: 8/10. the ingredients were pretty unique and high quality- Asian pear, pickled daikon, shishito.. it was very refreshing, just not super noteworthy compared to the others - cult vegan burger: another absolute 10/10. Wouldn't have been able to tell it was vegan. on top of that, the flavor was simply better than most regular burgers I've had - Broadway chicken sandwich: 8/10. I loved the chipotle honey mustard on the chicken and it was a great sandwich - vegan avocado toast: 6/10. it was so pretty but they piled too much stuff on top of it so you couldn't even taste the avocado. I think if they just simplified it then you would be able to appreciate each flavor - chicken bahn mi - citrus avocado salad If you are visiting Santa Monica, VISIT CULT. you wont be disappointed. The portion sizes are also extremely generous, and they're dog friendly which is just the added plus!

Daph G.

Yelp
Needs some ac for the hot summer days. Thought I could go lounge and get some work done inside, but that was definitely not the vibe with how stuffy it was. Also floors looked pretty bad.

Kaue P.

Yelp
Plus, the person helping me was extremely rude! If you're gonna rip me off, at least try to take it nicely cause goddamn! We all have bad days but goddamn goddamn

Elaine N.

Yelp
Cult is a new cafe/restaurant that just opened up not too long ago right in the heart of Santa Monica's 3rd St. Promenade & it's definitely worth checking out! Cult not only has high quality, hand crafted coffees, but also amazing food and cocktails. I got to try a few different coffees and lattes (I really enjoyed the Fresh Prince which was a raspberry matcha) alongside some burgers, fries, and breakfast sandwiches/toast. The burgers were solid, I loved the garlic fries, and their Nashville hot chicken strips were SPICY so if you do not have a high spice tolerance like myself...beware! Their breakfast sandwiches were delicious as well, and I was really happy to find a spot on the west side that now serves breakfast sandwiches as there aren't many in the area. If you're looking for a spot with good drinks, good food, and good ambiance in Santa Monica - definitely check this place out!

Tyler K.

Yelp
Used to come for a really tasty breakfast sandwich despite bad parts of the restaurant. Quality has decreased, however. Our sandwiches today had over cooked eggs and an unfortunate attempt at stale brioche buns. Staff is unfriendly and not that helpful. Sunday morning they're blasting weird, heavy sensual R&B. Like why is this the music their choosing and why is it so loud? Sad, could be a good restaurant if it weren't for themselves.

Elaine S.

Yelp
I've only been here for a couple cups of coffee and both times were delicious. The coffee is definitely on the pricier side like many reviewers noted, but I think it's worth it. A specialty drink every once in a while works great. As for seating, I usually sit at the outside picnic tables but the inside is also cushy and comfortable.

Sarah W.

Yelp
Saw this place randomly and decided to stop by for a quick bite. The inside is definitely very aesthetic. I tried the "so cal burger" and the "Italian wrap". The burger was delicious, but the wrap was mediocre. The service is also not great. You have to order up at the front and then seat yourself. After you pay they give you a little badge to put on the table, but this process isn't labeled anywhere. So, I was definitely confused at first because I was just waiting at the table for a waiter/waitress. The wrap also didn't come with a plate, utensils, or napkins. I also had to ask for water when I was served the burger. They have an extensive drink menu, so I think this place is more for socializing and drinking than eating a real meal.

JacobSatorious S.

Yelp
Fire boba. Coming back here next time to try the alcohol. Tried the brown sugar boba it was 5/5, iced matcha 3.5/5. Def recommending to people to atleast try it once

Valerie C.

Yelp
We stumbled across Cult while taking a stroll in the Promenade one Saturday. It was almost lunch time and the place looked like a perfect spot for lunch. Service was great and friendly, and food came quickly. We got the breakfast sammie and the burrata avocado toast. Both were fresh and yummy. I was most impressed by their drinks- we got a matcha latte and Americano. I expected their drinks to be just mediocre as the place looked more bar-ish, but the drinks were actually really good and legit.

Amy A.

Yelp
Food and drink menu is very creative. Prices are very high for what you get. I say this because while on the menu the prices look reasonable, sandwiches don't come with a side. I believe a side salad is an additional six dollars which would bring a burger dish to about $18. Food is very good, though. My husband had a fancy burger which he enjoyed and I had the chicken Bahn mi. My only complaint on the Bahn mi is that it came on ciabatta, which was a little confusing to me! Nonetheless it was very tasty. I also had a Lisa Frank drink, which tasted like fruity pebbles and was awesome! Also very pretty. I would come back and try the other Matcha drinks they have!

Juyoung O.

Yelp
Ordered their Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders and their Banh Mi. The chicken tenders were super juicy, despite them being made out of chicken breast. Great flavour too! You can taste the spicy oil and spices with each bite. Fries were pretty decent. The flavour on the Banh Mi was good, however the chicken was a little dry. Their coffees were great 9/10

Maya F.

Yelp
Dude. This place is LEGIT. The staff is super friendly, the music is ON POINT and the food and drinks are FANTASTIC. I discovered Cult while wandering around Third Street and it was so good, I CAME BACK THE NEXT MORNING. I mean, where else can you see a photo of Dale Cooper, groove to Toni Tony Tonē and eat the most amazing vegan avocado toast on the planet?!?

Vito K.

Yelp
After living in the area past couple of years, I finally came in this past week with my family for dinner after an amazing beach day to find that their kind of a gem. We had family visiting so our party was a good size but they had plenty of outdoor seating which was nice. We ordered a few different menu items including a few sides to share. We really enjoyed everything. Everything was very flavorful and filling. Their drinks were food as well. Including their To-go cans. My family and I interacted with about four different employees. All very friendly and gave fantastic customer service. Unfortunately I didn't grab their names, just an Ashley, but they all were great in giving quick and friendly customer service. And I say it all the time, I'm a customer service first type of guy and they definitely earned my returning business. Not to mention I have to try other menu items. I also saw them give friendly and kind customer service to a homeless man that only had enough for a cup of coffee. And seeing them be as kind to him as they were was beyond wonderful. Another impressive thing they did once this gentleman left, was thoroughly clean and disinfect the area he was sitting in. It was nice to see them not mind him enjoying a cup of coffee he paid for and then taking the proper care once he left. Overall I recommend them if your in the neighborhood, for a meal or a drink. I know my family and I will definitely be back.

Paulina R.

Yelp
On 10/3/23 a brunette girl behind the counter stared at me as i walked in. Doors were open, came in around 7:20p. Was waiting for my friend that was using the bathroom. i let the girl know i was waiting, and told me i had to purchase something. i told them i wasn't using the restroom that i was just waiting. she rolled her eyes. shortly after a blonde girl came up to me and told me my friend wasn't here and the they are closed... she kicked me out. my friend said she was going to purchase a drink and decided not to after what i told her what they said to me. if ur closed, close your door. Rude employees here.

Karon S.

Yelp
Burrata Avocado Toast is excellent. 10/10. Nashville Hot chicken was lousy.. Fries were not hot. Seating outside is ruined by the lousy singers. Not Cult's fault but part of the general atmosphere. Sweet they give dogs a snack

Sean B.

Yelp
Was not impressed...long wait for a double espresso which I specifically asked for in a real cup to drink in house. Came out in a paper cup, bitter taste and poor attitude from the barista. Seemed like I was bothering her. Waste for $5.54 plus tip....and 3% "kitchen surcharge" when an Nespresso pod would have been better. Only gave a second star because the guy at the counter was very friendly.

Jess F.

Yelp
This was my first and last time at Cult. The food was meh. I ordered the pesto panini sandwich and it was basically avocado toast, not awful just misleading. I also tried the socal vegan burger and it tasted like cardboard, absolutely no flavor. The fries were okay. I was so hungry that I sucked it up and ate most of the food. Very disappointed. The only reason I gave it two stars was because the staff was friendly and the place has a cute aesthetic.

Adoraveda D.

Yelp
Great location. Very bad experience. I paid $50 here for dinner for two which is reasonable. But after spending at least 10min explaining to the lady who took my order that I just wanted a cup of green tea to go with my chicken bowl, as she went through a list of all their green beverages, the green tea did not show up until after my dinner companion went inside and told them I was still waiting. They apparently needed to check the transaction to make sure we ordered one first, which would not have been so difficult if they would have provided me the printed receipt I asked for at the register. And, of course, they served completely uncooked brown rice to me in my grilled chicken, quinoa, brown rice, and kale entree. I cannot recommend this experience.

Yelp
Great place! I came for breakfast on Friday morning and was quickly served. The decor inside was beautiful and everything looked clean including the area behind the bar. I ordered the Lisa Frank special which is a lavender oat iced matcha drink. It tasted delicious and the lavender on top made the drink smell wonderful! The Savage Fries are garlic fries with caramel onion, cheddar, and thousand island sauce. It was a bit too much in combination with the Greek Avocado toast, however I encourage you to try them because they are delicious! I'd recommend them more for lunch though. As for the the Greek Avocado Toast... 10/10. So filling and a healthy breakfast option. It's filled with tons of veggies and aesthetically served. Overall, I love this place for breakfast and highly recommend it!

Yelp
I've passed by here before on my walks and i'm SO happy I finally stopped in. It always seemed kinda too cool for me but the vibe in there is actually super friendly. They serve cocktails all day (pro tip--get the mojito) which is such a nice bonus if you're just walking around the promenade and need to party real quick. I also got a chicken sandwich which was delightful. Kinda pricy? But it's Santa Monica so, expected lol. ALSO: I normally am not a big coffee drinker (mostly just get starbucks when I need a boost) but on the way out I asked the the barista for a recommendation and they were super friendly and informative. Made me a really cute iced late with lavender or something?? I walked out satisfied and energized. This place makes a hot day very pleasant!!

Yelp
Awesome café in a great location in Santa Monica! MENU: Excellent drink (coffee and cocktails) options. They have a few fun coffee drinks (specials). The food looked awesome but we had other dining plans that day. CAFFEINATED DRINKS: I wanted to try the Rose Dawson but unfortunately they were out. I opted for the Lisa Frank (matcha and lavender). Personally, I wasn't crazy about the lavender bits on top (it's intense) but the drink itself was delicious. Overall, I still really loved and enjoyed the drink. SERVICE: Very friendly. LOCATION: Great spot right on the Promenade. Patio seating is next to the fountain / one of the awesome dinosaur sculptures. Lovely and perfect for people watching.

Yelp
Their coffees were unique! We ordered Lil Chulo & The Other Paloma, which I super SUPER super Super highly recommend. We came for brunch but those were accidental surprises. I always appreciate unique coffee drinks.

Yelp
This is the new drink spot on the corner of The Promenade and Broadway. Super friendly staff. Love what they've done with the place. And the coffee is excellent! Happy to have a new spot in the area.

Yelp
Such a cute little spot! They have tons tables outside right bay a little water fountain. I got the chai latte which was amazing and the breakfast sandwich which had soft scrambled eggs with chives and bacon on a brioche bun with an amazing sauce! Loved this place!

Yelp
Very cool vibe inside. Dark, with plush seating. It's a nice chill escape from the crowds. Had the iced chai latte and iced matcha latte with oat milk, which were both great. I especially liked the chai, due to the touch of spiciness. They mixed them in Boston shakers, like a cocktail.
