Singapore's top vegan and vegetarian restaurants

"Housed within the Maxwell Reserve at the Autograph Collection in Tanjong Pagar, this vegan café focuses on wholesome, organic ingredients that are plant-based, GMO-free and gluten-free. Signature items highlight simple, clean flavours — think a raw beetroot with pecan nuts, sage and sumac pesto — alongside more substantial plates like a gluten-free leek and roasted pumpkin tart, a superfood earth bowl with soba and broccoli, and a smoked onion and asparagus risotto finished with grated lemon rind. Gluten- and dairy-free desserts such as pear-and-ginger cake and an olive-oil, honey-and-lemon cake (with plant-based yoghurt) round out the menu, and a grab-and-go selection of sandwiches and salads is available for quick meals. The dining room evokes a classic, library-esque atmosphere." - Hazel Vincent de PaulandMegan Tan

Celebrated a friend’s birthday at this awesome vegan restaurant and had a great experience. The soup of the day and the pumpkin tarts were delicious. Our toddler enjoyed the risotto the most. Very attentive service and we love the ambiance. We were given a complimentary chocolate cake for the occasion; we didn’t expect a gluten-free cake to be this tasty. We didn’t manage to get the name of the service attendant, a very friendly gentleman who assured our kid the tomatoes are good for him and are delicious. He was incredibly accommodating even when we overstayed our welcome, as we had no idea the restaurant was already closed for the day. Will definitely come back.

I was at Cultivate Cafe yesterday to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were attended by Vesa who is very friendly and courteous. We ordered the 3 dishes recommended by him- Soulful (Hot Sandwiches), Vegan Earth Bowl and Avocado Iceberg Wedges (Organic Salads). The food was very nice and I would recommend to anyone visiting Cultivate Cafe. In addition to the yummy food, we were also impressed by the restaurant setting. It is so unique. The ambience is really nice. We will also like to thank Vesa for taking awesome pictures for us. Thanks to him, we have lovely photos for memory. Yesterday was my friend's actual birthday. She was really happy that I brought her to Cultivate Cafe. Thanks to Vesa also for giving her a complimentary birthday cake. I would like to add that all staff are friendly, warm and courteous.

The restaurant looks absolutely stunning — elegant decor and beautiful ambiance. Unfortunately, that’s where the good part ends. The food completely lacked flavor, which was really disappointing for a place that promises a refined vegan experience. We ordered pasta, but it was raw (and not in the “al dente” way). When we mentioned it to our servers, they brushed it off saying, “It’s GF pasta,” as if that explained everything. The service overall felt indifferent and below par for such an upscale setting. A beautiful restaurant, but sadly the taste and service don’t live up to the appearance.

My hubby was able to surprise mi with this interesting gluten.free vegetarian restaurant hidden within a boutique hotel near Maxwell. The ambience gave off a colonial grandeur vibe with floral posh lounge chairs and tinsel lamps. We ordered their vegan pad.thai and pasta, along with a dessert and coffee. The mains were "jelak" after awhile, but we both enjoyed the pasta which had olives in it to help cleanse the palate abit. A malay service guy even came forward to ask for feedbacks on the food we ordered, which i appreciated.! The Walnut and Date Loaf Cake had icing on it which was way too sweet for our tastebuds. Service to us was half & half, (sorry i didnt get their names) the malay guy and the ladies on shift gave really good service, great smiles and presented a gentle approach..however the indians servicemen were not quite up to standard (especially the one wearing a coat)..we were pointed to our table instead of being brought to, and he refilled my water with just a splash. I can help myself with the water if i didnt need to pay for service. I hope this doesnt happen to any other diners in the near future, especially from one who does a service front.

The food takes really long to arrive and tastes odd. The risotto was way too cheesy and the leek was too strong. Asparagus was overcooked and too bitter. The pumpkin tart and dessert (hazelnut cake and chia seed jam) were the only nice thing. The pumpkin tart base was too hard but the pumpkin filling was yummy. The Moroccan inspired mixed potato tagine was sweet and sour and too heavy for us to finish. The cavi-art was just biscuits with pomegranate jelly pearls and other overly-salty mixes which fell flat. Definitely don’t order that one. Overall, I think the atmosphere is great but the food really fell flat. I would suggest not ordering the risotto, cavi-art and tagine. Oh yes, we knew of this place as it was added as an Amex Love Dining partner. However, they didn’t honour the Love Dining privileges. When two mains are ordered, the 50% should be applied on the entire menu (including appetisers and desserts), except drinks. But they only applied it on the mains. We asked about it and the server had told us that that was the rule. We went back to check the T&Cs and that’s not supposed to be the case. This is Amex Love Dining, not Entertainer. Anyway, we definitely won’t be back.

Impressively elaborate interior design and decoration. Food is interesting and delicious. Berry smoothie is very smooth and well balanced. Will visit again on special occasions.

Enjoy the experience! For Singapore, may choose the more affordable ones, could have a few more affordable ones for sg people. For high class people, pricing okay, service good, food good :) think they will enjoy the special experience- different from the norm! Very suitable for people who likes special experience and service is good :) can be better still :) Highly recommended to go to cultivate cafe frequently, the environment is very 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜.

Had a wonderful experience at Cultivate Café! The ambience was sophisticated yet cosy — we were surrounded by books, which added such a warm and thoughtful touch to the space. Decor reminded me of Raffles Hotel. A huge shoutout to the amazing staff: Halim, Putri, and Irene were incredibly hospitable and attentive throughout our visit. They even surprised us with a complimentary slice of cake when they found out we were celebrating a birthday — such a lovely gesture that made the day extra special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a charming spot with heartwarming service and great vibes!
