Spent a few hours here a few days ago to catch up on some work between meetings and I had a great visit. I had already had quite a bit of coffee that day so I uncharacteristically skipped a caffeinated beverage and instead went with a seasonal special, their lavender lemonade. I was also quite peckish so I got an egg sandwich and an order of the beet lemon hummus to nibble on.
The sandwich, The Egg-chillies' heel, was a "silky egg" (from a hard set mix of eggs, milk, chives, and spices from Iggy's Eggies) with cucumber, red onion, tomato, goat cheese, and tzatziki on a gluten free challah bread (gluten free folks might like to know their their default on all their food is gluten free!). I loved it! So fresh and light with all the veggies but a nice mix of protein from the eggs. The beet lemon hummus comes with corn chips and was a nice snack to have next to me to dip into while I was working for a bit after I ate.
The drink was also quite tasty and beautifully presented with a garnish of dried lemon making it feel more like a mocktail than just a lemonade.
Seating was super comfortable and spacious perfect for meetings, friend hangs, co-working, grabbing a bite with a book and more. They also have a bunch of board games if you want to unplug and play a bit and some seating outside for nicer days.
Looking forward to visiting again when I'm in the mood for coffee because in general I'm a fan of Vertex's roasts!
