Comfy and clean. We enjoyed a nice espresso over ice with mineral water and lime 🍋‍🟩 juice !! Fancy much 😜 It was delicious! Thank you Eva! This shop had business pros and students in the lobby, friendly staff, and great operational flow :) also, other local vendors onsite ☕ ⭐ Spotlight: Owners who are community driven and assist other small businesses and vendors ⭐⭐⭐ Kudos 🌄

Google
Great neighborhood coffee shop with cozy, homey vibes—perfect for studying. Friendly service and delicious drinks! I had an iced matcha latte and a cake pop—both were amazing.

Google
I was in the area, in the mood for some coffee, and Cultivate was the first business I saw. Right away the environment is cozy and the staff is super friendly. I ordered the iced Americano with vanilla & cream, and OMG! Super tasty 😋 I’m not usually in the Sunnyslope area, but I’m gonna have to come around more often for some Cultivate Coffee!

Google
Today was my first visit to this cute little coffee shop. Ordered a large iced decaf latte with a little vanilla and thought it was really good!! I like a strong coffee flavor, which is hard to find in decaf. (Usually, the lattes just taste like iced milk). So, I will definitely be back to Cultivate!

Google
If I'm paying for a cup of coffee, I just want quality and kindness. These great people will fill you up with both every time you visit! I pick up orders for our restaurant and my experience is always pleasant. Clear communication and accurate delivery times when they bring the order to me. Plus, great attitudes with a willingness to teach their knowledge. I recommend 👌

Google
After having high hopes, we left this place disappointed. I ordered a standard iced vanilla latte; it was okay. My boyfriend tried one of the specials, the “Teacher’s Pet,” advertised as caramel and apple flavored. I would NOT recommend this to anyone. Something was extremely off about the drink… I raised concerns to the barista, and she said “oh, it’s just the flavor”… As someone who works in customer service, I get that not every drink will be a hit. We also understand it’s an unusual combination, but if it’s promoted as a special, it should be worth ordering—or at least met with a genuine effort to address concerns. Instead, the issue was brushed aside, leaving us feeling dismissed and like our feedback didn’t matter. Great customer service can turn a disappointing drink into a positive experience, but this was not the case. We left unsatisfied and unlikely to return.

Google
It's so tempting to gatekeep. This community gem is everything one hopes for in a coffee shop. Delicious coffee, firstly. But the vibe is so great. I love the laid back feel and the staff are so kind and friendly. Here's to yummy pastries, great cold brew, ample cream cheese with your toasted bagel, and just enough people discovering this amazing spot but too many so I can still get a table:-)

Google
Cultivate coffee is a nice neighborhood small coffee ☕️ shop. Bethany is very nice and always takes care of the customers. I definitely will keep coming back. I really like the coffee. Always get ice expresso . Very smooth

Yelp
Always friendly and love coming here. It's truly the best place to get coffee: from that of the 2[black rock], as I would always come here: just that they aren't open on Sundays.

Yelp
At some point in the past year, I went to a coffee shop with some friends and they accidentally gave me a chai latte when I ordered a tea. Well, of course it was delicious and now I just can't help myself but order them, as often as possible. I'm not quite to a daily chai latte level, but it's more often than once in a bluemoon and less often than daily. Cultivate is the closest best coffee shop for a Chai latte with oat milk that isn't a sbux. I certainly haven't tried *all the coffee shops within a 5 mile radius, but this is the best one yet, so I keep coming back for a tasty chai on a Saturday morning.

Yelp
The coffee wasn't great. The service was nice. The place is in a little strip mall that looks really ghetto.
google avatar

Tara W.

Yelp
I like these smaller places because the staff is humble and friendly. They don't really have signature drinks but will make whatever you like and they get it right every time. I enjoy the quiet atmosphere that draws many people from the community. Great place to relax, study, work, meet neighbors and get inspired. One cool thing they do is Anyone can buy a drink coupon and leave on a community board for a random person who needs one in the future. There are also small activities for student.
google avatar

Yelp
Everyone should support this place. Cultivate Coffee is a hidden gem. I love shopping for a cause. Part of the proceeds go to charity to help Foster Kids. They also stay open later so that students can work there and learn a trade. It is a definite hang out, work space, and community gathering place. They even have a printer you can purchase copies at, a community bulletin board, and you are shopping to help kids not a corporate chain. Gotta love that. i had been wanting to go for a while since so many of my friends have been talking about it. I finally stopped by today to finally check them out. I had a Cafe Latte with caramel and a snickerdoodle cookie that was pretty spot on. I did not have food but a small amount of treats for sale made from varied local bakers and a donut shop. Keeping it local and supporting more local makes my heart even happier. They had a few gluten free choices too. Nicest people behind the counter.

Yelp
I love this local spot. They have tons of coffee and tea choices, and awesome seasonal offerings. They support the local community, especially including Sunnyslope HS which is right up the road. Their fall drinks are pretty unmatched. They have a good variety of inside seating and comfortable spots for those working or catching up. The staff are always friendly. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a great flavored drink and supporting a local shop.
google avatar

Yelp
I have been here twice now and both times the service has been phenomenal. The staff is super friendly, offered suggestions, and answered all my questions. The first time I visited my drink was a large hot decaf seasonal latte (honey/lavender) and it was delicious. Perfectly balanced - not too sweet and the espresso shined. When I came back, they had different seasonal so I tried just a hot decaf lavender latte. Unfortunately it was bitter and not well balanced. My husband got a peach green tea and thought that was really good. Overall, I'd come back again and try something else. The ambiance inside is nice and laid back with plenty of space for gatherings or just sitting and enjoying a drink.

Yelp
A cafe I hadn't tried in the area so I stopped by. Spiced slope latte was one of their seasonals and I tried it. It was flat and thin, but the cayenne pepper adds a kick, I guess. I don't think their coffee is good and worth almost $6. You can find stronger, richer, and much better made nearby for the same price. Also, the atmosphere is uncomfortable and stiff. I didn't enjoy hanging out there so I left. They charge for credit card usage, so bring cash.
google avatar

Vince B.

Yelp
I absolutely adore this local coffee shop. It serves locally roasted coffee, delicious food, and excellent service. These are the kind of places that make Sunnyslope the best neighborhood in Phoenix.

Yelp
Incredible Ownership that truly seeks to connect & cultivate their community The workers are excellent with all the many coffee, sweet treats, and savory options. Bring Cash and save the .50 cents fee :-) Great Merchandise! The coffee & the space are lovely along with the staff & patrons!!! Try it and see for yourself

Yelp
Cultivate has been on our coffee list for a long time, but it's not close to home. Fortunately this morning we were close by and made sure to stop in when we had the chance. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable and the store was very clean. We had one of the seasonal drinks, a chocolate and pistachio latte. Our friend enjoyed a vanilla latte, can't go wrong with the classics. Love the fact that their large comes with 4 shots of espresso, mmmmm delicious! Too bad this spot is so far from home, otherwise would like to enjoy it more often.

Yelp
Sometimes life takes you to an unexpected location... and this was one of those moments. I was looking for a coffeeshop near my destination in the area... and Cultivate popped up as a clear winner in my Yelp search! So I popped in to check out the menu and noticed their Kentucky Joe Cold Brew right away! I asked and learned that it was their special version of cold brew after soaking the beans in whiskey! Whoa, right?!? I had them add some vanilla and the drink delivered! Excellent! And I'm always on the lookout for gluten-free pastries because I have an insatiable sweet tooth. They offered a handful of gluten-free pastries (which resulted in a very happy Mike D)... and I went with the banana nut muffin! Be sure to order it when you have the chance! Cool vibe, a few comfy seating options, and good music - a great combo! Overall rating: *****FIVE STARS***** Gluten-free rating: *****FIVE STARS*****

Yelp
Unfortunately, this was not a good morning experience. I showed the counter guy a photo of a coffee I wanted from the yelp page, but I didn't get anything that resembled the photo. Secondly, they had a fresh pastry and a day old pastry section. My Blueberry muffin was supposed to he fresh, but tasted old and stale. Onto the next coffee shop.

Yelp
I love this companies mission and we decided to stop in on a Saturday morning. I had saw a couple of my Yelp friends pop in and mention their burritos which are only available Saturday are great. We got 2 iced lattes with white chocolate and Carmel and 2 breakfast burritos, one bacon and one chorizo. There was plenty of spots to sit inside and 2 tables outside in front. We sat and enjoyed our delicious drinks and our burrito. Now, the burrito wasn't horrible but it tasted like a Filbertos burrito. Nothing special but like I said it wasn't horrible and was filling. I will definitely try a bakery item next time we go!
google avatar

Liliana A.

Yelp
Love supporting local coffee shops and this one is great! The atmosphere is nice and getting work done here is easy. I enjoy trying their seasonal lattes because they don't disappoint. I want to come back and give their food and pastries and try.

Yelp
I love a store that sells local artists stuff. This venue has cute earrings and metal colored birds to adorn the wall. Oh yes I did enter this place to get pastries and a drink so I ordered a banana muffin( tasty ) a matcha latte ( good) but since they roast their own beans I should of bought coffee. My friend loved her cubano. I thought the blueberry danish was meh and didn't even finish it. It's a great place to hang, work or play games.

Yelp
I was walking west on Dunlap and the "Cultivate Coffee" sign caught my eye. Even though I just had a Starbucks coffee, I'm a coffee fiend and always have time for more coffee, not to mention, I was starving and hoping they had food too. When I walked in, I really liked the unique homey look, unlike the standardized chain looks. There are nice seats, tables for work but also a living room area where I relaxed and added points as soon as I saw the great view of the hills perfectly filling up the front window. Barista, Timothy, did a great job taking my order and explaining their offerings. I thought he was the owner because he really knew his stuff and was very on top of things. My everything bagel with turkey, ham and cheese was delicious as was the salt and vinegar chips(Tim's). Their homemade lemonade was fantastic. For dessert, my vanilla latte and strawberry iced poundcake were winners. This is a locally owned, small business cafe that I definitely support. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Good local coffee. Got an iced vanilla latte. Next time I will add another flavoring to it as well.

Yelp
I'm an Arizona native, but how did I miss this gem?! Had heard many good things from Sunnyslopeans, and was reminded that it was here when I went to the Black Rock coffee adjacent to it. This is one of those adorable mom and pop-ish coffee shops where you can pretty much add any syrup flavor that you want to concoct the drink of your dreams. I was wowed by the case of baked goods; will definitely be coming back for some locally made pop tarts on another visit. Opted for an oat milk lavender latte with light ice, and had the pleasure of playing a rousing game of Mancala with my sister while I waited for our drinks.
google avatar

Bridgette Z.

Yelp
So happy we accidentally ended up here. We intended on going to another cafe nearby but their credit card machine was down so we came here. I had a lavender latte and my husband had a horchata latte, both hot, and we shared a cheese danish. The lattes were perfect and I appreciate that the barista/owner asked if we wanted more espresso and adds more espresso to the larger size drinks. She said her baked goods come from a local person and truly the danish was one of the best I've ever had. The lattes were wonderful, service is fast and friendly, and i will definitely be back if I'm in the area

Yelp
great, strong espresso drinks but poorly brewed coffee. the workers are also very nice!

Yelp
They put the ATE in Cultivate. I love this place. Chill, a wonderful place to get some work done. The decor is calm, simple, and the temperature is always perfect. Surfaces are always clean and everything is organized and logically placed. Bathroom is well kept and always smells nice. There's merchandise for sale like tee shirts as well as handcrafted items such as postcards and trinkets. Clientele is typically young adult business person and it can get quite busy, especially when Sunnyslope High School lets out down the street. Parking lot is medium sized, but there is always room to park. Staff is super friendly and considerate; the sweetest bunch. They are proactive in ensuring the place is well kept. Every single one of them dresses appropriately and has good hygiene. They also have appropriate workplace conversations and never seem to quarrel with each other. Nothing but loving energy. I usually get the cold brew or an iced Americano; every time fantastic. And the prices are incredibly reasonable. The cold brew lately has been their Kentucky bourbon which is so smooth with tons of flavor notes. On my next visit, I want to try one of their homemade toaster pastries (they look so good) and a tea or lemonade. Thank you Cultivate for always taking care of me. Can't wait to visit next time.

Yelp
We are coffee snobs and when my daughter saw the five stars at this coffee house we made a bee line to get our afternoon iced coffee. We ordered two iced coffees, cinnamon toast, and avocado toast. I tried the two toasts and I was disappointed with them, my girls didn't think they were that great either. My daughter was disappointed with both coffees and walked over to Black Rock to replace it and I ended up with both rejected iced coffees.
google avatar

Yelp
My daughter and I are on a tour of the Phoenix area to find the best white chocolate mocha. Cultivate is definitely one of our high spots so far. The service was amazing. Friendly and helpful. My other daughter met us there and both of my daughters whipped me in a game of spot it. we had great coffee and made memories. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Really good stuff! I've been drinking a lot of almond milk lattes lately and am always looking to try different spots. This place feels slightly out of place as part of the little strip it's in, but in the best way haha. It's pretty cute in here! Staff was nice, I had my order in before and they got it out to me right away. I got an iced white chocolate mocha with almond milk, my husband got a caramel latte with nonfat milk. We've had some hit and miss experiences lately, but both really enjoyed our drinks. Glad I tried this place and next time I'm in the area I'll stop here!
google avatar

Yelp
Love this local coffee shop. Owners roast the beans, they employ teens to help them learn how to be business entrepreneurs. Love the blended coffee drinks, raspberry mochas, their bagel sandwiches,. We have police meetings here.
google avatar

Julianna L.

Yelp
Really great coffee in the Sunnyslope area. I haven't tried any pastries or food items yet so I cannot comment on that. However, the service is quick and efficient. The ambiance is very cozy with lots of tables to study and chat with friends. They also host many events, check out their instagram for details.

D L.

Yelp
Cultivate is incredible. Really delicious coffee. I do believe they have the very best dirty chais. And their avocado toast is delicious! The folks working are always very kind and helpful as well.
google avatar

Austin S.

Yelp
As a shot in the dark, Cultivate served up one of the best lattes I've had in a while. It's hard to strike a balance between a fully roasted bean and one that is straight up burnt (looking at you sbucks....) Whatever blend they use, does just that. Their brew hits the nail on the head and is not over-indexing in either direction. Not to mention they have soy milk as an alternative which can be hard to find these days. I will absolutely be coming back here again.

Mike E.

Yelp
Super nice atmosphere and a great place to relax and have a delicious cup of coffee. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly!
google avatar

Mika D.

Yelp
Was looking for a cafe close to the AZ Humane Society and so glad I stumbled on this place. Lots of parking availability outside, good music and friendly staff. I ordered their avocado caprese bagel, iced chai and a gf banana muffin. The chai is absolutely lovely, wayyy better than other places I've been to and the bagel is yummy as well. Pricing isn't too bad, definitely worth making a stop if you're in the area.

Karla J.

Yelp
Ordered a vanilla latte, it was great! I also got one of their blueberry pastries it was delicious!
google avatar

Rachel K.

Yelp
Love a small business with sustainable & ethical practices, I will definitely be back. Today, I tried their "Pumpkin-Chata" seasonal drink. It tasted perfect, really. I love my coffee drinks sweet and this delivered (without being disgustingly sweet of course)! I picked up 2 scones, blueberry and orange for my friend and I. We both tried each of them, and were both not a fan of the blueberry. I liked the orange a lot... reminded me of a fruit loop haha! I would love to come back to this quaint coffee shop and do some homework, and connect more with the Sunnyslope community. The inside is decorated nicely, and includes games like chess for you and a friend to play! They also have boards where events are posted, such as community markets. One of the boards has coupons for free drinks or free pastries, pre-paid by a community member! To top it all off, the employees were super nice to me. Can't wait til next time!
google avatar

Kat V.

Yelp
This is a cute cozy place just north of north Phoenix. The Mediterranean plate, aka hummus + veggies + pita, is delicious. The home made original pita and whole wheat pita are to die for. There are a couple kinds of tea to choose from. I got a cactus blossom green tea. It is high quality. The tea cup is so cute and we can buy them if we want. There are a few cute stuff we can buy, like a bracelet and a tiny plate. They have a great view here. I sat and sipped my hot tea while enjoying the Sunnyslope mountain/butte. There are many tables and seats that I can study or do my work.

Jayne M.

Yelp
My favorite coffee in town. SO good and way better than Starbucks! Supporting local is the way to go
google avatar

Georgeen Q.

Yelp
The absolute perfect place to have a quiet moment and fresh cup of coffee. Also, the ambience is so relaxing to just enjoy the presence of your closest friends. If you check out their wall of information you'll find other small businesses that also show their support. Their coffee was phenomenal! I'm always looking for that right tasting, bold flavor in a cup. I found it!! New to the area and have been looking for my weekend go to. I drove about 20 minutes passing dozens of other coffee places. They didn't disappoint. I had their Iced Horchata Latte which blew my mind with its amazing flavor. My fiancé had a blended coffee with white chocolate and Carmel drizzle which he was in love with. He doesn't really like strong coffee so his was made perfect for his taste. I definitely recommend to also check out their website. Support local!!!
google avatar

Sawyer M.

Yelp
Cute spot with ample patio seating out back. Love the decor/ambiance of the place and the coffee is delish! Also, try one of their burritos! So amazing, but very filling.
google avatar

Stacy S.

Yelp
Cold brew is delicious! I don't know what flavor they have for the bean...but once I added my vanilla stevia...had a slight rum flavor...love it! It has a slight strong flavor yet smooth!
google avatar

Charis W.

Yelp
Great ambience and staff! Just settled down here to do some studying on a Friday afternoon, and there's hardly anyone. Great study spaces, though, music's not too loud, temperature is great, lots of natural light. Clean and spacious. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Kylie W.

Yelp
I loved this coffee shop! It was in a "hole in the wall" strip of businesses and kind of out of the way of the "hustle and bustle", but it has a serene and inviting inside. Their breakfast burritos, which you can get on Saturday's only, are BOMB! Literally... go on a Saturday.. and get one. I got their White Chocolate Iced Latte with Carmel Drizzle (twice) and each time it's been amazing. My husband got their strawberry tea and LOVED it! I would 100% recommend this place if you're on that side of town.
google avatar

Zsa Zsa A.

Yelp
Delicious coffee!!! Uhh, tea too! I have had their ice latte and an herbal cactus blossom tea, which was absolutely incredible- no sweetening necessary. Being herbal (which technically is not tea anyway) it had no sweetener, no caffeine, and was a little taste of desert heaven with a beautiful pink sunset color. Yay! The barristas were very sweet, provided exceptional service, and the prices are totally reasonable- especially for a centrally located Phoenix coffee shop. 1 latte, 2 teas, less than $11... AND their proceeds benefit a good cause, way to go Cultivate for doing it right! (Also, AZ has lifted the bogus face diaper mandate, so I was allowed to breathe oxygen in peace without being shamed for it- that's a plus for me)
google avatar

Marlo M.

Yelp
Great place to get a large cup of single origin coffee pour over, I have to say this place looks to please their customers out of all the spots I've been too they are the only ones in Phoenix area who let me order large cup of pour over and it was excellent. The peanut butter chocolate scone was great and the price of their beans was more than fair, if your in this area and a coffee nerd check this place out.
google avatar

Beth B.

Yelp
Nice neighborhood spot to pick up coffee and a baked treat. I usually grab my coffee black and this was good to the last drop. The location is no frills, but does have some seating with tables if you plan to sit a spell. Staff was friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Dave C.

Yelp
I will continue to support businesses such as Cultivate Coffee that contribute to the community and have a great product. I stumbled upon Cultivate Coffee during our pandemic and go out of my way to support them. They have a variety of specialty drinks and beans to-go (that they roast in house). The staff are always friendly and make my day. Sometimes I find myself visiting Cultivate twice in one day! My favorite beans are currently the "Brazilian" selection, showcasing Dark Chocolate and Cherry. I recently found out that they have a second location so there is no excuse not to pay them a visit. I guarantee you will be coming back to Cultivate just like I do multiple times a week! Enjoy.
google avatar

Deb A.

Yelp
Cultivate Kindness. I love it. Really friendly staff and they "partner with farms that not only cultivate a great tasting coffee plant, but also a sustainable and ethical environment for their workers" while "employ(ing) people who otherwise struggle to find work in the US, whether it's a young adult aging out of the foster care system, a refugee seeking a safer way of life, or someone simply looking for a fresh start." Who wouldn't want to get behind that?
google avatar

Alexis C.

Yelp
Coffee was decent. Unique coffee drinks were available and they listed the seasonal specials for us without prompting. We got our coffee's to-go and they were yummy. Space was trendy and clean.
google avatar

Howard W.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and try this! I was a barista for roughly 12 years and this is one of the many reasons why. What a great play on flavor and a wonderfully cute coffee shop. Homemade pastries too? Yes yes yes!
google avatar

Cristen H.

Yelp
More than a cup of coffee!! This is a multidimensional, locally owned shop: a non profit serving tasty brew to the community and creating jobs for youth. Win win! Every time I visit, I am welcomed with warm greetings from the cheerful baristas. Love the cold brew in particular - Kentucky Joe?? Yes please!! The gluten free baked goods are soooo yummy too! I could eat them all day every day.
google avatar

James P.

Yelp
A great little local place that's definitely worth the stop! The coffee was delicious and we are excited to try the beans we bought tomorrow. My wife got the Kentucky Joe cold brew - it's such a unique taste and she highly recommends you try it. The burritos they sell are very flavorful and filling. They are made by a Mexican restaurant a few doors down and worth getting. We can't wait to stop by again the next time we are in the area.
