Compared to the overall food experience in Porto, the food at Culto is good but not particularly memorable — which is somewhat surprising for a Michelin-starred restaurant.
As starters, we tried the bolinho de bacalhau, which was decent, and the Bacalhau à Conde de Guarda com tártaro de tomate, a nicely presented and enjoyable dish. For the main course, we had the Bacalhau à Gomes de Sá, which was traditional and well executed but didn’t stand out.
The highlight was definitely the dessert — the Pudim Abade de Priscos. It was unique, rich in flavor, and truly special.
Overall, it’s a restaurant worth trying for the experience, but don’t expect anything out of this world. Also, note that the air conditioning and ventilation were below standard and made the atmosphere less comfortable than expected.
