"Located among the ever-growing strip of bars on the south end of Manchaca, Culture Club is a pizza spot with classic-rock influences, which means there’s a motorcycle near the entrance, guitars on the wall, and Led Zeppelin on the speakers. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

If you’re in Austin and looking for a place that nails the perfect mix of arcade fun, great food, and an unbeatable vibe, Culture Club is the spot. Seriously, I don’t know how they managed to make swings that comfortable, but now I feel like every bar should have them. If you’re looking to relax and soak up the weather, their outdoor seating is perfect for that intimate, laid back hangout. Plus, the games are a solid bonus if you’re in the mood to relive your childhood, or you know, just show off your skills to your friends. And let’s not forget the food. The pizza is solid with a crisp, flavorful crust, and the wings are crispy, juicy, and exactly what you need after a few rounds of vintage arcade games. Definitely not a shabby snack. But the real MVP here? Reese. This woman was a one person show, juggling everything with a smile while making sure everyone had what they needed. I’m pretty sure she was secretly working on her superhero application in the back. Truly a legend. Culture Club sets the standard for bars in Austin. Great vibes, delicious food, and service that’ll make you feel like you’re part of the family. Highly recommend!

Delicious!! Taffy was a fantastic tastebud tour guide. Very welcoming. She explained the drinks and the menu thoroughly, was very knowledgeable and super friendly. We were on a mission to find a great spicy bloody Mary and we found it. It was our first (and certainly not last!)visit. She walked us through all the many options. The popeye pizza was delicious as is, but the burrata (and sausage) addition was clutch! Absolutely delicious. Crust made fresh every day?! Yes please! Saturday is half price frozens. Pink Lady is banging! We have a new regular spot!!

Really wanted to give a 3 but the pizza was good and has potential. Very slow night… maybe 5 couples plus us and one group. If you’re not drinking, I was not, options are limited. I asked for Coke Zero… just told “no.” Like, please follow that up with what you do have then? Stuck with water. Ordered pepperoni rolls at the suggestion of the bartender and tator tots with a meat combo pizza. Tator tots tasted like Sonic, no biggie, pepperoni rolls had maybe 1.5 pepperonis and a few sprinkles of cheese. Definitely not something I’d get again unless they can put in extra cheese which I think is a no because they tasted like they were frozen from a food delivery service and not made on site. The pizza was good though! Really good. Everything on it tasted fresh, pepperoni was crisp but not burnt, plenty of cheese without it drowning, and excellent crust. Don't taste your time in apps and just get a pizza each. You’ll have a slice or two to take home but really good. Vibe is relaxed, good mixture of younger (20’s) and older (30’s-40’s) folks, and several things to do - ping pong, cornhole, pinball, and a couple of TVs. What I wish they had…. More TV’s - 2 is not enough; topo chico or Diet Coke or Coke Zero would be awesome! ; clean tables - we had to wipe ours down and get something stuck all over it off so we could sit there . It was the only table in the yard not being used; better lighting by the pinball machines- dark and creepy since the actuarial is well lit; better appetizers or stop allowing people to waste their money on frozen stuff; friendlier more helpful staff - after the drink conversation I had walked in for a water refill and was pointed back to the water station. Ok, cool. Thanks. But you have 2 people at the bar so, why don’t you create a welcoming environment and perhaps say “sure . there’s a water station right there where you came in for your convenience as well.” Little things. Which made it just an ok experience. We wanted to like it. They do have potential or perhaps it was an off night. We will try it once more just in case. And to get a pizza!

First timers here! Discovered it last weekend after church and it's close to our house. Came today for some drinks and wings. I had boneless Nashville and my husband had the Mango Habanero wings and we shared an order of fried pickles. The Nashville wasn't as spicy as the mango hab but mixing them together was *chefs kiss* Next time I will definitely order the Nashville boneless with a side of that sweet heat! The fried pickles were better than most I've tried. Crispy tangy perfection! Dipped them in the mango hab sauce too and wow... yall should just offer the sauces as sides. The frozen margarita was refreshing with simple syrup and lime juice. Not any of that nasty sours mix. The purple drink was pleasantly flavorful too! I liked that one over the plain. Atmosphere is fun! Inside has swing chairs at the bar... hopefully responsible drinkers will sit there but who knows haha!! Outside has decent amount of seating. Dog friendly! All the picnic tables have umbrellas but the sun's direction pretty much keeps you in direct sunlight during the peak times. High tops and low tops available also with shade. TVs inside and out, vintage pinball games and hoops, cornhole, lots of yard games! Will definitely come back!

Just right. Just the right size, just the right amount of interior and exterior space. Just the right location: south Austin on Menchaca, serving clients too weary/tired to drive to ATX for a good bite and good drinks both indoors and out. Just the right kind of decor: 80s retro lounge meets arcade meets outdoor space with modern touches. Pinballs abound (I'm a sucker for their Dolly Parton pinball). Just the right kind of food: the first time I went, ordered some tater tots to snack on. We've all had mushy, or not so crispy tots - the ones here were the best I've had. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and a satisfying crunch in every bite. The second time I went EVERYTHING that was coming out of the kitchen and being delivered to the group next to me smelled amazing. Just the right drinks. Let's face it. It's freaking hot in Texas and while they have all their standards, they also have signature drinks to help on those hot days: Refugee-a watermelon spiked lemonade Ride or Die - a ranch water but made with Liquid Death Bloody Mary - refreshing and spicy at the same time Just the right amount of exterior space-their patio area is a nice size with plenty of shade and picnic tables and regular tables and table tops. They also have a play area for your DAMN kids. There's a stage for live music and area to play washers. And dog friendly. Just right for me.

3-Star Review This place has a really cool atmosphere with fun photo ops—especially the motorcycle—and unique touches like swings at the bar that make it stand out. The pickle pizza was absolutely delicious and definitely a highlight of our visit. However, the experience was a bit mixed overall. The bathrooms were dirty, and the staff felt pretty disengaged, which took away from the vibe. There are some fun games like mini golf, bean bag toss, and ping pong, but they require you to hand over your driver’s license to check out equipment, which isn’t ideal when you’re with kids who just want to play freely. Plus, many of the machines like pinball and basketball require cash or coins, so come prepared. There also weren’t many drink options for kids, which was a bit of a bummer. Probably better suited for adults or families with younger kids who don’t mind a more hands-off, casual setting.

I love this place. It's got a killer playlist and the pizza is delicious. I personally like just a 10" pizza so I can get wings and other apps too. Staff is fun and makes you feel welcomed.

Google
TL;DR; The golden gem we were looking for our family getaways from every day chaos The staff and owner have a great attitude all around and offer a customer service oriented approach. They even accommodated to have my little one first year old party on the turf area and had the great gesture to have a small decoration for it. Although the food itself is great (it could feed the entire party without issues and we had nothing but praise for it) the menu is limited in options, specially on the healthier side. On the drinks, beer wise is acceptable but nothing to brag about. They do offer cocktails though and having options is always good. Having said that will keep coming every other time we can as it checks all our boxes for our family. We recommend it.

Yelp
The good: great service, great pizza, great music playing, clean. Decent wings. Definitely get the pizza though-top notch! Love having more Manchaca options. Could use improvement: cheap, uncomfortable tables and chairs make it little uninviting to hang out for a while. Too many pinball games-leave a couple games and add more bench seating and low tables-give the place a cozier vibe

Yelp
Went for the first time on a Saturday afternoon for the crawfish boil. The staff was friendly, music was good, nice atmosphere and I LOVED the swing bar seats. It was super fun to swing at the bar. Enjoyed sitting outside in the sun having a michelada and crawfish. My friend got the wings which were pretty good too. Fun addition and seems like a good place to go if you have kids as there's an actual children's play area.

Yelp
Had a good first time at Culture Club. The food coming out of the kitchen looked great and smelled great. I can't wait to go back for some food and play pinball. Lots of games on the patio, kid friendly, and the bartenders were great! Great south bar!

Yelp
Awesome new bar in South Austin. The atmosphere was inviting, friendly and casual. Our server, Reese, was incredible and made the best cocktails. The Killer Queen, is just that Killer. Their bone-in wings were cooked to perfection and their Bacon Jam wing sauce was exceptional as was their oven baked pizza. I would recommend the Popeye. Add to all of that, the pricing was affordable and representative of the quality delivered. In a world of food trailers, unimaginative bars and overpricing, Culture Club, breaks the mold by delivering quality service, food and culture putting them way above the other stagnate bars in Austin. Well done.

Yelp
Fun little neighborhood spot, they have a great patio and play set for little kids, fun swing bar seating and good drink options! The food was good, I do wish they had some less spicy wing sauce options but the pizza crust was great. They also have some good happy hour deals!

Yelp
I liked Culture Club, and thought it was a cool concept but just not my vibe! This is the type of place for loud, rowdy south austinites and that's not me. I can't give 4 stars because i can't really dock a place for attracting loud, inconsiderate people - idk what it is about South Austin but that's an aside. Interior had cool lighting and motorcycle themed decor and fun swings to sit on at the bar. There were coin-operated games which will be fun to play next time. Outdoor area had more seating and cornhole. I had a hot cider which tasted delicious despite the separation in the pic. Next time I'll come for lunch or something so I can try the food and avoid the nightlife.

Yelp
Yelp makes me write 85 characters but all I really want to say is this pizza is terrible. Edit: way too much cheese. Lighten up on the cheese and add some garlic and salt to the crust and you may have something.

Leon C.

Yelp
Great local dive bar with good food, great interior design with cool atmosphere. The bar swings are fun, and different; they also have wall outlets under the bar to charge phones. TVs are a good size with good visibility. They are kid friendly until 8 and have a small play area for smaller children. The service was good but, bartenders and the GM were welcoming and friendly.

Yelp
Weird vibe. Weird name for what it is. Pizza is not good. Service was meh. Won't be going back.

Yelp
Stopped in to the Culture Club for a beer and a bite to eat. It's a nice place, nice bar but I have to say the chairs are very uncomfortable, our table we sat at was wobbling. My wife ordered the wings and sorry to say they weren't hot in the middle. I just had the garlic bites, they were OK.

Matthew G.

Yelp
I stopped in tonight on my way home and was looking to grab a quick bite to eat. I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza on their self service ordering system at the order window. The food came out within 10 minutes so pretty quick turnaround. The topping of the pizza looked decent but unfortunately the bottom of the pizza was completely burnt. I tried to eat it but every bite tasted like burnt food.

Yelp
We walked in at 5:30 on a Friday (family of 4) and there were 4 open tables. 3 we're reserved for a party at 6:30 the other table only had a booth on one side for 2 and no chairs to pull up to it. We didn't want to sit outside because it was 30 degrees out and didn't want to eat our food standing up so we left. Really disappointed in the customer service and wish they hadn't blocked off so many tables an hour before the party was coming. We we're kind of hoping this could be our new family spot since we live close enough to walk but probably won't come back. The place looked great and had cool games but unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy it.

Yelp
Great place to gather with friends/family and enjoy some pizza or wings and beverages. Nice outdoor area with tables, play area for children, several TVs, corn hole, and ping pong. Weather was perfect to be outside this evening.

Robert V.

Yelp
service was great, drinks were fantastic, cauliflower pizza crust tasted like real dough. The wings were crispy and cooked to perfection. Watched UT Austin football game here on 4 large TVs!

Mary W.

Yelp
The pizza is delicious. Crust is wonderful. The swings are fun. It would be nice to have a bit more comfortable seating, inside and out.

Yelp
Great food & drinks. Super kind & helpful staff! Place is well put together. My new go to spot in South Austin!
