Another local chain (well, not so local these days..I think there's outposts in a few states now including FL?! Anyway..) Not the BEST cheese curds, but good in a pinch, and better than their fries if you're ordering a Butter burger meal

I ordered large fries and a triple burger. The fries were cold. The burger had a bad taste in it. I went back to get it replaced, but the guy just tampered with my food. He put more fries in the bag, put the same burger, added more meat, and handed me this again. What disgusting food, really. And the saddest thing is that they're damaging such a well-known food chain. It was my favorite place. Thank you for your years as a customer.

Ordered Strawberry Fields salad and chocolate shake. The cashier remembered exactly what was in the salad without looking when I asked. The guy who delivered it at least tried to smile and be helpful. The food tasted fresh and delicious. Grilled chicken on the salad was a nice surprise. Shake was smooth, creamy, and chocolaty. Everything I expected from Culver's. They didn't miss a beat. Well done.

Guess I can see how easy it is to forget about the "care" you're supposed to give to your customers.when you become rich, especially when you franchise out.... Ordered a RASPBERRY Cheesecake Mixer, ended up with a melted Vanilla Cheesecake smoothie with a dash of raspberry... Kinda bummed, these used to be red, and you could see the seeds in the raspberry... Not anymore though... Place wasn't even busy, and it's after lunch rush 🤷🏼‍♂️ Might have to start going elsewhere...

First time at a Culver's, honestly not bad. We got the reuben sandwich and single patty burger, pretzel balls, onion rings, fried cheese curds, and dark chocolate custard. It's probably one of the best fast food franchises in the States I have experienced. The reuben is a little on the salty side, but overall, everything is pretty great. Really enjoyed the custard! Truly hands down best customer service, period! Impressed! Though, fast food is not my life style, I would definitely return simply based on the quality of the food and their exceptional service.

Google
Great food, fast service, clean place, chill atmosphere. There are lots of good choices on the menu to choose from. Burgers, chicken, fish. Great soup choices. Tasty ice cream. Even drive thru is fast.

Google
I visited on June 22 at 5:45 p.m. Two drive-thru lanes were open, but a staff member came out of the building and placed cones directly in front of our vehicle without saying a word. It was extremely rude and left no room for us—or the vehicles behind us—to back up or maneuver.

MARCUS IS AMAZING!! My sister got married a couple weekends ago and decided LAST MINUTE she wanted chicken tenders and fries for her late night snack at the reception - I called 2 days before and Marcus was so enthusiastic about it, and was excited to help! We picked up 20 orders of 8 piece chicken tenders and 10 family fries - NO PROBLEM. They had it ready right at 9 like we talked about and it was a hit. Thank you so much Marcus! You are an awesome service person and manager!!

Google
I’m fairly disappointed tonight. I came by to grab some ice cream and got four pints. Two chocolate and two vanilla. I got home and started dishing the vanilla custard to find bits of some kind of insect. I’ve been eating Culver’s for years and have always enjoyed the ice cream. But after spending that much on ice cream to find it’s soiled, it’s just disgusting and disappointing.

Yelp
Everything you'd expect from a Culver's. Decent, friendly service. Clean restaurant. Fresh, tasty food - prepared to order (accurately). I don't get to the east side often, but it's convenient if you're in the area.

Maria L.

Yelp
Katrina at East Towne is one of your best Culver's employees not limiting to east towne, you have in my experience as a regular Culver's customer. She is attentive, friendly, professional, always smiling & looks like she enjoys her job. She is wonderful at resolving disputes and makes sure the customer enjoys their entire experience even as they're walking out the door or head out the drive thru line. I highly recommend Katrina for future career advancement within the Culver's Corporation.

Yelp
Great food and excellent customer service I wish I lived near a Culver's. The peanut butter milkshake! OMG

Yelp
I went through the drive-through. They like old culvers start with what can I make fresh for you? I said I'd like to have a plain cheeseburger and that would be it and they gave me the price. It seems arbitrary between Culver's they sometimes want to ask for your name sometimes they don't. Sometimes they tell you to drive around sometimes they say it's their pleasure so there's an inconsistency experience sometimes within the same place. When I got to the window, the lady seem like she was OK until she asked is this Sue and I said no she was frustrated. she told the amount I gave her money she then put the drive-through tag on my car and then hand it back the change without telling me how much the change was. It was fast although I would say customer service it seems like the employees are very unhappy and you get that feeling from them when driving through. Maybe everybody's having a bad day today. As for the burger it was well cooked and was very accurate. I personally am not a fan of asking for the name as they all they have to do is ask what was ordered. I'm curious why Culver's is asking for names these days. I was thankful that this Culver's people tend to in the drive-through drive all the way to the white line there are people who don't which has nothing to do with Culver's . I've always appreciated culvers to be consistent kind and halfway decent fast food.

Yelp
Everything was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! The staff was super sweet and very fast!

Yelp
Great food and service. Some of the best hamburgers you can find. Excellent helpful service. Also the turtle Sunday is a great finish to the meal.

Yelp
Whenever we stop by, we have great service, great food and it's very timely! Every time we visit Wisco, we stop at this particular Culver's drive thru. It's pretty central to every where we go (between Sun Prairie and downtown Madison). We've never been inside so we use the drive thru each time. The line is never too long and we never wait more than a few minutes after paying. Considering it's made fresh, this is impressive to have orders out so quick! I put Culver's in the same category as Chick fil a when it comes to customer service. They're always very friendly and thorough, this location is no exception! Most of the time we order a family size cheese curd to split between three of us. Sometimes it's enough, sometimes it's not. We love the curds! We also enjoy their burgers but it seems like the chicken tenders always fall a little short of expectation. I highly recommend any burger combo with curds! We will continue going here for the rest of our Madison days!

Ally C.

Yelp
Ordered in the drive thru, they only brought out part of the order but insisted we received everything. I went inside with the food they brought out and the receipt to either ask for a refund or receive the rest of our order, and got massive attitude. Apparently they put the rest of our order on a tray(???) and didn't bag it up. They threw the order in a bag and handed it to me with zero apology. The burger was thrown in upside down and the gluten free bun was tossed in the bottom so it was completely smashed. It couldn't be more obvious that they didn't care and acted annoyed that they had to provide us the food we paid for. Crappy food, terrible customer service.

Yelp
Went today and ordered two value baskets. We got home and we're missing one of our sandwiches when we unpacked the bag. I called and spoke with Mackenzie who offer for us to come back with the food we received and they would remake all the food, seems like a huge waste of food to throw away what we got just to prove a point. Looks like one of us is just eating leftovers because we will not be back to this location.

Yelp
It's rare that I stop at this Culver's, though sometimes I hear its siren's call if I've been to the mall. It's set back from the road and the sign isn't on the mall side, so the flavor of the day can't suck me in most of the time. I believe I've only gotten custard at this location; I don't recall ever having ordered hot food. Maybe in my college days? In more recent visits the drive-thru has been slow (hence the three stars) and service inside has been reasonable. Custard toppings vary greatly; I've had the lightest touch on some days and the heaviest on others. I've never been to a bad Culver's, but this one also isn't the best, neither overall nor in Madison.

Yelp
I've lived in Madison for about 3 years now and just barely tried Culver's for the first time. Mu husband took me for my birthday lunch (whee!!) and I was treated to my first butter burger. I'm not gonna lie. I had high expectations. Since I'm from CA, people were telling me it's comparable to In n Out. But let's not get carried away! Granted, I've only had one butter burger compared to my xxx amount of times I've had In n Out, but still. Anyway! It was definitely a tasty burger. The burger patty certainly has a distinct flavor. You don't really need much to dress it up. My husband has been there before and likes it. We made a deal not to enjoy it too much--we can't come here all the time!

Yelp
Cashier was very helpful and friendly! We got our ice cream and fries super fast and it was delicious. Fulfilled my craving for sure :)

Yelp
I like this Culver's. It's close to work, close to home, and service has always been speedy and friendly. It's your typical Culver's restaurant - has the same basic layout. Everything has been kept nice and clean every time I have been inside. I typically choose the drive through, though. The attendants who take my order and the ones who greet me at the window have always been great. The line can get long during peak hours, especially at lunch time, however the wait is never as long as I expect it be.

Yelp
As part my introduction to Wisconsin culture, I had my first taste of fried cheese curd. They were hot out of the fryer, not too greasy and delicious. Staff were welcoming and helpful, dining area clean and comfortable. If I had more time during my visit, I would've returned to try more of their menu - i.e. burgers, sandwiches, salads, and frozen custard sundaes. Wish there were a Culver's closer to San Francisco.

Yelp
The assistant manager closing on December 13th 2019, is seriously a great manager who's helpful, nice to staff and was consistently pleasant to everyone he interacted with during the start of their dinner rush. Set the atmosphere of the restaurant and needs to be promoted. I didn't catch his name..

J R.

Yelp
This location should be the example to all on customer service, cleanliness and how to serve others. Let's start with Sasha. She is amazing. Her smile, energy and overall willingness to help. This was all before the order was placed. While even on crutches she came to hold open the door when we left. Food was great. Restrooms were clean. Service to deliver food was fantastic too. Hats off to this location for awesome service.
google avatar

Jim H.

Yelp
I always like the food but accurate orders seem to escape this location. I ordered a 2 piece fish dinner with no coleslaw and added mashed potatoes. I recieved a 3 piece dinner with no mashed and no butter for the roll. This is simple stuff and I do expect better.

Yelp
My go-to fast food every time I go to the east side of Madison. Culver's mushroom swiss burger is one of my favorite items from the menu, and I can say this particular location makes the best juicy mushroom swiss burger all the time!
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
Being from California don't have the ability to eat here often. For being a chain this place is pretty good. Don't forget to add wisconsin cheese curds yo your order
google avatar

A.J. S.

Yelp
Apparently this is one of the places that you have the try in Wisconsin, and you have to try their custard. I ate here twice, because the prices were good and the food was made fresh. The first time I had a Reuben melt, which was very good. They brought the food out to me, and I sat around listening to kids trying to speak in ebonics with Wisconsin accents (flat oh's). the second time I had a chicken sandwhich, deep fried cheese curds and custard. All of which was very tasty!! If you are in the area and see a Culver's I would recommend it!
google avatar

Midwest G.

Yelp
I ordered a decent salad, then saw a very inviting picture of a Rueben sandwich. Five dollars for what looked like an ample hunger stopper seemed like an easy target. To my surprise, said Rueben was meager in size, and the three strips of steamed corned was maybe a step above "Kwik Trip" level. I thought about returning it, but you never know what happens when it goes back. I'll find another option for that selection-problem solved.

Yelp
If I have to pick a fast food burger joint this is it. The burgers are made fresh. Meat tastes real. Fries are delicious. Employees are friendly. Prices are fantastic. The atmosphere is quite different from other fast food burger restaurants. More home-y, and friendly. I can't pinpoint why exactly. Hmmmm... maybe because it's carpeted, and they have televisions up in the corner of the room? I don't know. They have a flavor of the day for their custard each day. Yes I said custard, not ice cream. There's a difference. If you haven't had it before, try it, you'll understand. My favorite reason to stop at Culver's is the turtle sundae. My oh my, I'm hooked.
google avatar

David H.

Yelp
The standard Culvers. I've been here a few dozen times with mixed reviews. The food is always the same (good) The bathrooms are hit and miss if they are clean, seating can be tough during busy times, they seem to be always out of mayo.
google avatar

Fei X.

Yelp
Better than most fast food joints. Clean dining room with free WiFi. What more to ask for?
google avatar

Danan R.

Yelp
The butter burger was definitely better than the ones from McDonald's but not up to Five Guys's quality. Prices are a bit higher than BK or McD's but they do have fried cheese curds, which were hot and delicious, and much better than tater or cheesy tots. I also had an Oreo shake, which was very rich and creamy. We need a Culver's on the East Coast. Just be warned that drive-thru service can be pretty slow, at least at this location.

Yelp
This is my go to Culver's...it's the only fast food restaurant I go to and I always have a solid and consistent experience. Today I went to the drive thru to grab a early lunch before heading to work, I pulled up to the white line and relaxed while I waited for my food. About 12 minutes later the manager came out to let me know my food was accidentally given to another car and that is why I was waiting so long-- they had put another meal in for me and gave me a coupon for a free dinner basket and he told me my food would be right out, I said no problem but that I did unfortunately have to be to work in 5 minutes. He came out about 5 minutes later with my food and a pint of custard to smooth things over with my boss. I felt the need to write this review because I feel like they are one of the few fast food places that go the extra mile to make it right when they make a mistake. I really admire this and feel appreciated as a custom! Good job Culver's!
google avatar

Jeff K.

Yelp
The meat on the cheeseburger was overly done and cold. The cheese on top hadn't melted at all. I took it back and reported the issue. When the manager brought the new sandwich, he suggested "In the future, make sure you tell them you want some of the cheese melted." He totally missed my point about the burger being cold. No, I shouldn't need to tell staff to "make sure the meat is warm enough." Ridiculous. But for the fairly consistent (note I'm not saying great)food quality at their other locations, I'd have given my experience 2 stars.

Al R.

Yelp
I go to Culver's whenever I can get to one. I wish they would come to my hometown. The menu has a good enough variety t ok keep you from getting bored and everything I have tried has been very good.
google avatar

Scott T.

Yelp
Go to Michael's for custard. Culver's is okay for fast food, but that's about it. There are much better options in most towns of any size. I'd suggest taking a few minutes more to get to them if you want a sit down meal.
google avatar

Mary A.

Yelp
I love Culvers custard... But, when you shut the doors at 9:59 pm when a customer is eager to buy an ice cream for their long drive, that's disappointing. Good thing MacDonalds is across the street. Your loss..
google avatar

AnnaMarie A.

Yelp
We visited Culver's for a quick dinner on a Thursday evening. The food was alright. The cheese curds were large and tasted great, as did the chicken tenders; however, my burger was a bit burnt and was a bit rubbery. The man who took our order was a bit impatient and rude, despite there being no other customers waiting. The woman who brought out our food was quite pleasant.

Eric T.

Yelp
I have tried to like this place. The awareness of the service is quite horrible. Driving through the drive though I like to order a fudge pecan, single scoop , without the cherry. First if you order this, they tell you the cost, you say thank you, there is no welcome in return. But then we when get to the window, they will more then 60% of the time have the cherry on top. then they say "oh sorry" and then remove the cherry and hand it back. The cherry juice is dripping all over the ice cream. This is incorrect service. it is simple, pay attention to what the customer orders and read the order off the screen. I am done with this place. they don't care what they do, they simply don't think and don't want to face being the error. its three freaking steps. custard, hot sauce, pecans. they just go robot and add a cherry because they don't' read the computer. they input the correct order, but don't' read it, because they always screw it up. i have seen it where as i wait at the window the lady came towards me with the cherry on top and realized she screwed up and said "oh! sorry" and threw it away and then went to make another one. then did it again!!! the managers are at fault here. they need to pay attention to the staff. if people are making mistakes they need to stop them to think about it. is the industry so hard to get people that they are afraid to tell them they did wrong?
google avatar

Heather C.

Yelp
The employees at this location are the losers in life who never finished college because they were too busy trying to figure out when they were going to get stoned again next. Now they are out in the working world and things haven't changed much. Except, instead of talking during lecture about the next great party, they are doing it behind the registers at this Culver's.

Bernard W.

Yelp
I don't go to this Culver's because of the panhandling problem in their parking lot. Too intimidating.
google avatar

Stephanie F.

Yelp
Walked in 10 minutes to close and was told by the manager that they were closing soon and that they needed to kick everyone out then. He said "you can order food if you want, but you won't be able to eat it here." Thanks, we won't eat there. Congrats on getting out of there on time.
google avatar

Jennifer N.

Yelp
The food is always hot and fresh. The wait time can be a little long, but knowing that they are making my food to order is worth it. The staff is usually friendly and the remodel is beautiful. I even get deals texted to me!

Kaylee M.

Yelp
I wouldn't would like to start this off by saying I really like the Culvers food, although I would really like to know what goes on during the hiring process. Time after time I ask for something simple like a extra ketchup or ranch, and then I get asked how many ketchup a I want, and no 2 ketchups is certainly not enough for 4 meals. I honestly just baffles me that I have to pled my case just to get a few dipping sauces. This has happened way to many times for this to go unnoticed, I have had enough. I will not recommend this place to anyone. I also had to repeat my order at least 3 times because the employee that took my order was laughing and joking around with the other employees. And the lady at the window was drinking soda and was quite rude to me as I asked for a ketchup which made me very uncomfortable (I was very polite to her). I don't think I will be back to this location.

Don W.

Yelp
Burgers are getting greasier every time I stop. Chicken is fine, friesare good and custard is great.
