CupLux Coffee Drive-Thru

What a cute drive through coffee house. The property was nicely decorated. The signage was clean & clear. The attendant had a pleasant tone at the speaker. The blueberry muffin warmed is a must 😋. I forgot what drink I had but I had it with almond milk it was delicious to. I even purchased a sticker. I forgot to put it on my cup I was so busy turning it up, Lol

I went to CupLux for the first time today and was so impressed! The ladies there are super nice, friendly, and helpful. I wasn’t sure what to get but the girl I spoke with helped to guide my choice and I’m so thankful she did because WOW. I got the seasonal drink “Crazy Ex” (caramel latte with cayenne pepper and almond milk). It was absolutely delicious! I don’t like very sweet drinks so I was worried it would be syrupy but it was perfect. Just the right amount of sweet, followed by a smooth kick of cayenne. Almost like a Mexican hot chocolate but with caramel. Truly amazing, I can’t wait to go back for another one!

Small in size but big and taste. This little coffee shop has some nice features and options to make your morning Brew that's special way you like it. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly the perfect mix for a coffee

My new favorite coffee shop! The Cupid latte and Chai latte are great. The blueberry muffin is amazing and they even have a little cup of Cheerios for the kids on the menu.

Me and my boyfriend got an iced caramel latte and it’s one of the best lattes I’ve had hands down. The coffee has a slight roast after taste (which is nice) the sweetness and creaminess balance it out. I also got a buttered croissant which I inhaled. I didn’t catch her name but the girl at the window was so nice. Overall enjoyed my experience.

I ordered a white chocolate mocha thinking it would taste the same as other super sugared brands (Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts). However, this was the BEST tasting coffee I have EVER had. They truly do make their own syrups, and it was so well balanced. I had finished it before I even made it back to my condo. I also ordered a ginger detox smoothie and it was SO yummy, fresh and smooth. On the outside the location looked a little sketchy lol but I’m so glad I tried them anyway. CupLux is now my new go-to.

Great drive-thru place to get coffee on the go!! I had a White chocolate mocha and blueberry muffin. Both were delicious! I also liked their iced vanilla latte. Baristas were friendly and provided good service. I should mention that it was a bit pricey than other places.

First time here, I was pleasantly surprised! Prices are similar to starbucks. My iced latte was phenomenal, so smooth and creamy. My new go to coffee shop!

This is a drive through coffee shop. It's located on Freedom Drive across from the Thrift store. I had driven by daily and always wanted to stop and take a browse of the menu. This was my first visit and I wanted a drink with low caffeine and not very sweet. Something refreshing is what I was seeking and I hit the jackpot! I tried one of their seasonal drinks, the Coconut Cloud Matcha and it was DELICIOUS. The servers are friendly. The cost is minimal and the staff are all fast! Service with a smile. I'll be back for sure!!

I always drove by wondering what this place was, decided to google it. Drove by lots more time then finally decided one morning I wanted to try their coffee. I'm not a person who drinks coffee to wake up, I drink coffee as a treat! Lol. And I order the same thing at all coffee places, a variation of a caramel macchiato/latte. Order: small caramel latte Their parking lot needs some work; pavement is cracked in a few places. I believe this cafe is a drive thru only because there's an unused second drive thru lane. That area also needs some love; maybe it could be turned into a small patio seating area. Their menu also offers more than just coffee and drinks; small breakfast items/snacks too. Downside they only offer bagel sandwiches. I'm not a bagel fan. Service was friendly and prompt. I would say their coffee is comparable to Starbucks, better than Dunkin.

It is hard to give a review on this one . I got 2 different drinks made completely different . One drink was very good(wife's drink) the second drink tasted like it had soured milk in it and was completely undrinkable . By the time I got to tasting it I was back on the road . I know things happen and milk/ milk alternatives products go bad and things slip thru . Based on the 1 good drink I would give a 3.5* maybe a 4* I can not in good conscience rate the second drink due to the fact that both of us believe it was soured from a bad product

I tried the honey & Oates latte. I'm sorry but it was not good. I came home and added more to it for taste just to feel like I didn't waste money. Still didn't finish it. Nothing could fix it. Definitely will not order here again. But the apple cinnamon muffin, so freaking good & was warm.

Loveeeeee this coffee. The Honey and Oats over ice is my favorite and i enjoyed the blueberry muffin because its big, rustic, and comes warm Super fast and convenient and an unexpected gem

It was just okay, subpar. quite underwhelming, there are too many coffee shops where I can sub 2% milk for oat milk. You can't make ANY changes to the drink you pay for or the food. The egg and cheese sandwich was cold on the inside. It's honestly not worth driving out of the way if this isn't a convenient stop.

Been here about four times, the first time it was amazing! Following times, my coffee always has wayyyy too much coffee grounds which makes it not enjoyable. Might give it one last tru, I really think it depends on who is making the drinks. I like the service here, this place has so much potential but they really need to look to improve the coffee machines/makers

Their drinks are amazing and their homemade caramel sauce is the best I've tried. I did order my coffee half sweet, but it's still super sweet, so have to keep that in mind.

Happened to stumble on this gem. Who doesn't like skeletons for a mascot?! Their smoothies are fresh and their traditional vanilla latte was more flavorful and delicious than you'd find at Starbucks.

I was looking for a smoothie place close by my job & came across this cute spot . I have been here multiple times in the past two months. Friendly & quick service every-time. I have tried just about every smoothie they have with the exception of the fruit explosion & the ginger mango. The strawberry banana is my favorite! I tried the bacon, egg & cheddar breakfast sandwich this morning & it was delicious! Will be back of course :)

I'm not sure why we've waited so long visit our neighborhood coffee shop, but we've made up for it by visiting three (yes, three!) times this week. We're loving the chai and matcha lattes. I've tried the chai, both hot and iced. The convenience is great, and the staff is always friendly.

My favorite coffee spot! I've catered them since they opened. My favorite beverage is their Dirty Chai and I like it hot!. The spices in that drink satisfies my palate. The staff is very professional and friendly.

Service was excellent; quick and friendly. Paid with my phone via cash app which was nice because I forgot my wallet. Coffee, hot and cold brew, with vanilla was delicious!

I'm not sure what is happening, but two muffins and two small iced coffee drinks cost 20 dollars AND the coffee tastes like milk only. Three times we have had this happen. Quality is going down here. The service has been great, but if the quality of coffee product (the mainstay of their core business). My husband and I had to throw our coffee away twice and drive over to NotJustCoffee to get what we wanted. When we complained to the barista about the coffee, and asked for another shot, she literally gave is another shot of espresso in a separate cup for us to mix it on our own. While the concept here is great, the quality is rapidly declining that will put this business in a permanently closed status very soon if they cannot get it right. We are rooting for CupLux to win and keep them in the community but they have to step up their game. There is too much competition in the area for them to be comfortable with how their business is currently operating.

We had driven past this place many times on our way to the hospital in Charlotte, but we had not ever taken the time to stop. Today, even though Google said that they were closed, we circled on in and gave it a shot. WOW! This was without competition the best caramel latte I've ever had. Caramel lattes are usually not all that memorable for me. They're sweet, they're caffeinated, they taste like caramel and coffee. They're my drive-thru go-to when I'm not just drinking black coffee. This thing was amazing! The caramel is not over-strong, with no syrupy sludge at the bottom. There is a toasted flavor throughout that makes the whole thing feel almost warm and cozy- even though it's iced. It's sorcery, I tell you. Sorcery! Well done! We will definitely be back!

Great Nitro Cold Brew! Being a Drive-thru business they are already set up for success for the pandemic. Two different lanes, one "speed" lane for online orders and one for regular drive up orders. The drive thru menu is easy navigate and there are more options than your typical place. The staff were very friendly and I was in and out with my cold brew in no time. Tried two different breakfast sandwich bagels that were solid and survived a short car ride home. Overall, I need to get coffee here more often, it was a great Sunday breakfast option and super safe while we navigate this pandemic.

Mmmm... coffee. Before starting my morning of shopping and reviewing, I popped into CupLux and got my "go juice." Quite easy and very fast. I was a little overwhelmed at the menu board but straightened up with a medium latte and hazlenut. At the window, my payment was taken and my coffee was handed over. Super quick. Visiting from out of town and found this place! Convenient, fast, friendly and great coffee!

Adore this concept and a great pit stop on the way to the airport. Coffee is overall decent, but do not recommend the nitro cold brew. It does not have the "Guinness-like" creaminess or usual cold brew sweetness. Otherwise, the other lattes were delicious

Best coffee I've had in Charlotte, yet! I recently moved to NC from Florida and have been taking the opportunity to taste all the coffee shops. I loved the convenience and the espresso taste in my latte was perfect.

I went with my family and got 2 coffee and 2 smoothies both of which were unsweetened

Service was polite. Coffee was awful. First, the price they charged was more than listed on the menu. I inquired and they changed my total. Asked for americano with cream and sugar. Gave it to me with no stirrer. Looked and tasted black. Went back through line, got another, asked for stirrer stick. Coffee still tasted awful. It may be better if they give me the cream and sugar to go and I add home much I want rather than they assume.

A trusted source told us that Cuplux has the best chai latte in Charlotte. Since I don't like coffee and I love chai lattes, I obviously had to try it. The drive thru is super convenient. It's nice to not have to get out of your car when it's cold outside. They were incredibly friendly! I know it's a drive thru, but their service was great. Our drinks were ready quickly. They offered for us to sign up for the rewards program and when we did, they gave us an awesome air freshener for the car. We got a hot chai latte and a hot matcha latte. I have to agree that it was the best chai latte I've had in Charlotte. It wasn't too sweet and the chai flavor really came through. I wasn't a huge fan of the matcha latte. To be fair, I've never had one before, so I don't think I like matcha in general. It was too earthy for what I'm looking for in a warm tea beverage. I've heard great things about the coffee as well. I'll definitely be back next time I want a chai latte! I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

I'm not sure why it took me so long to try this coffee spot, but I've been missing out! I don't get coffee out frequently but when I do, I'm glad I have a closer spot than finding a Starbucks, plus I love supporting small and local businesses. I can't speak for their whole menu of drinks but my go-to, latte breve, is perfect from this place. Service is quick, maybe because it's still a secret, but I don't want this place to fold for lack of business, so please, check this place out for your caffeine addiction!! It's the perfect drive through on your way to work downtown.

One of my favorite coffees in Charlotte (and love that it's a drive-through) - their white chocolate mocha latte is the best! Staff is always friendly. They offer dog treats when we bring our pups, and love the free mini Magic O's (honey nut Cheerios) cup they have for kids (it's the small thoughtful details). Great rewards program. I wish they'd expand to more locations in the area (Starbucks doesn't even compare)!

3 years later and CupLux is still the ABSOLUTE BEST COFFEE in Charlotte. Their caramel latte is hands down one of the most amazing drinks in the world. We will drive out of the way just to come here. We have brought all our out of town friends/family here and every time they visit again they request it by name! I wish they had more locations just so that more people could try their coffee because I feel like it is still very underrated and doesn't get the hype it deserves.

The honey and oats iced latte was absolutely delicious! It tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch but it wasn't overly sweet. Perfect drink for breakfast time!

This is one of My absolute favorite coffee shops in Charlotte. I especially love their awesome coffee and service. The drive through aid also amazing without having to opt for a chain coffee shop!

The owner was kind enough to explain what may have happened for the overly acidic taste in my coffee and asked me to give him a heads up when I'm visiting Charlotte next time to have the staff provide a better experience for me. I thought this was a really sweet gesture and it shows that they really care. I'll definitely be dropping by again next time I'm in Charlotte and try some of their other popular menus on the menu!

THE PUMPKIN SPICED LATTE is fresh, natural, and authentic. Not the artificially flavored crap from other coffee places. I love this place because you don't feel like you're drinking diabetes in a cup with a latte. It's sweetened perfectly. Also THE WHOLE MILK. The whole milk they use is why I drive 20 minutes out for this coffee: Creamier, fattier, & just delicious. I also love the cold brew slushee with whipped cream & caramel when I do want a dessert/treat (super sweet & delish). My only wish is longer hours so I can come by everyday after work. I tell everybody I know about this good coffee.

Really good Mochas and both of the employees that helped me were extremely kind! It was a very welcoming experience. The employee who took my order had a very big genuine smile on her face and it was nice to feel like a person and not a just a customer! The mochas were perfect too .

Amazing customer service, and amazing iced latte I had. I came here after a stressful morning, and having a PERFECTLY MADE iced latte that was so delicious made it 100x better!! The latte was not watery at all, super creamy and on the sweeter side. I WILL be returning again!!

Best chai tea latte in Charlotte. Period. Friendly staff. Dollar drip Mondays. Seasonal drinks. Local Coffee. Best vanilla draft latte. Not sold at the drive thru location, but on draft at some your favorite urban markets. Rhino Market on Morehead St. being the closest.

This coffee spot was the perfect place to stop on my way to concord. The fact that it's drive through sold me right away. I went around 8:30 and there was no line, my order was taken immediately. They do have bagels and muffins, but not any food other than that. The only thing I didn't care for was the price, but I think all coffee shops are outrageous nowadays. I got a caramel latte 16 oz and it was $6.20. Even with the price, I'd still come back here. My coffee tasted great.

This is honest to god the best coffee I've ever had in my life. And I drink a LOT of coffee. Seriously, I have no clue how you guys do it, but the reviews aren't lying. The caramel and honey lavender iced lattes are amazing, and I loved that you can buy honey directly through the drive thru. Absolutely would go back next time I'm passing through NC, I only wish there was a location up north too!

The coffee wasn't bad, but what pisses me off is when they assume that everyone wants sauce or a condiment on their breakfast sandwich without indicating that it comes with sauce. My egg and cheddar sandwich had a weird and unusual sauce on it and I took one bite and threw it away! I couldn't make out what unnecessary and unexpected sauce they put on there, but it was not good! Keep it simple! Egg/cheese/ protein/ no one likes sauce on a breakfast sandwich! I won't return!

This place is so cute! I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. As I was reviewing the ordering board, a friendly voice came over the speaker shortly after I pulled up. I placed my order and she repeated it back to me to make sure she heard correctly. Paying was seamless and my Carmel latte and my lemon pound cake were great! I was on my way before I knew it. I wish I lived closer, so I could support them more often.

CupLux was super convenient! The drive thru service was quick and friendly. I took advantage of the Monday $1 drip coffee, it was a 16oz cup and pretty good. When I ordered I asked for cream and sugar I was asked "how much" which for me is a strange question...do I answer by pumps or packs? The server and I figured it out and I enjoyed my coffee. I also ordered a bacon egg and cheddar cheese sandwich sold as a half on sourdough bread for $3. I enjoyed the sandwich more than the coffee. They advertise the bacon as "thick cut" and they're not lying. It felt more like a slice of ham which I prefer but if you're into crispy bacon this wasn't that. Again, the service was fast and friendly. Which on a Monday morning is a dream!

Drive through option is key. Always order online ahead for speed lane access. Coffee strength is about light to medium for me. Wish it was stronger caffeine wise but the flavors always hit. White mocha latte is my fave. Honey and oates latte is second best if you like cinnamon and the bottom of a cereal bowl. Chai latte is 3rd best. You're welcome.

I've heard of this drive thru coffee shop a few times, so while I was on this side of town I figured I'd stop by. On this first visit I got the cold brew with soy milk and caramel syrup. The flavor was ok, but the unfortunate part was that it didn't look appealing. The milk was immediately separated from the coffee and no amout of stirring could fix that. On my second visit today, I got a hot caramel latte w/soy and an extra shot. It was absolutely delicious which has restored my faith in this place. The cheese danish was delightful as well. The customer service is excellent Update - I am updating this review due to the EXCELLENT customer service. Please read the response from the manager. He took the time to figure out why that happen and make this experience right for me. Amazing!

I always pass by CupLux in the mornings and finally decided to stop by today and I'm SO happy I did!! Firstly, the customer service was 10/10. Everyone was so kind and patient! The coffee is delicious. The cold brew is smooth and full of flavor and you can tell their syrups are homemade. This will definitely be my new go to local coffee shop!!

Back again for a second time because this has been my go to spot for almost 2 years and the consistency at cuplux will have me coming back for as long as I am in Charlotte. You really cannot go wrong with any thing here but the caramel latte, as many have mentioned is a stand out. Also love their chai and nitro vanilla latte.

So glad the west side has this coffee gem, super convenient. The drive thru concept has me constantly coming back. There are so many varieties of coffee that you can have. Monday dollar drip coffee is my fave with a splash of the local honey.

Service is really well. Place is clean, it's all drive thru and the coffee is really good too. But I will admit it's pricy. I get a simple large iced coffee. It's 6$. For one iced coffee? Really ? Not much else to say except places are starting to price gauge simple cheap things.

Caramel ice latte! OMG - my new obsession! Although the cold brew slushie is big draw in (it's also amazing), but don't forget about this latte! It was SO creamy and is a great contender for one of the best in Charlotte! I know that's a bold statement, but it was really that good! The caramel syrup was the perfect blend of sweetness. I will definitely make the trip back out to Freedom Drive and get CupLux again! And if you come up Freedom to the city for your daily commute, you HAVE to check this place out!

I love going here for great coffee..gourmet taste at an affordable price. I ordered the dirty chai with an extra shot of espresso. Duh...licious!!!!! The staff are always friendly! Menu isn't overly complicated like some places which makes for easy decision making. I do recommend giving this place a try! Thanks guys!!
