"CuppaCoffee is an Australian-themed coffee shop with two locations: one Downtown, and one in the South End. The South End outpost is the only one large enough to spend a few hours in, and we would gladly do so if it wasn’t for the slow wifi. But if you just need a quiet place to read about Ned Kelly, you should visit immediately." - Joel Ang

This place is awesome. I love ❤️ it... Great Fresh Matcha Latte with Honey and Cinnamon. Elizabeth from Oregon did Amazing job 👏 I don’t know what this place is Paying her but they Should Pay her more... You have a great person on your team... I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I'll definitely be back again. Near but Far. Great job Elizabeth I hope you enjoy Massachusetts living. Good looks. Shane

I have been to both locations and all baristas have been very kind and sympathetic with me. The owner is really nice, if you go early morning, you might get to see him. Their pies 🥧 are delicious and is a nice cozy aussie space that makes me feel like I’m over there. I love every detail from the decorations. I recommend the coffee that has ice cream that is only available in the Traveler’s location.

Google
Great cappuccino and other coffee. They’ll make it the way you want. Nice place to sit and sip. You can have your drink in a real mug. Interesting Australian pastry to try, but a bit pricey. If you’re in the Ink Block area if them a try.

Really fantastic ambience. There was soft music playing in the background, and the smell of coffee and breakfast sandwiches is very alluring. It's an excellent place to read or study.

Fast-forward a few years and I stopped by to see how things were. Amazing to see it just as I remembered, if not even better! Got my favorite Aussie pie, a cup of coffee and took some beans with me to brew up when I'm back on the West Coast. The service was solid, and Todd (owner) still does a great job finding good people full of character to work for him. Look forward to the next visit! My favorite coffee shop in the city. I've been a regular for over a year now and highly recommend their espresso drinks and aussie pies. My favorite pie is the Chicken Curry Vegetable, but honestly they are all good. I have to admit that I get a flavored latte, but the espresso is excellent. The owner is an Australian who appreciates the art of coffee and quality service. His staff are all different characters but provide great service. Everyone I bring here has enjoyed the coffee, food and atmosphere.

Google
What a surprise to find Ausie pies in Boston! I couldn’t resist. 😋 The pastry was much too dry, but it was delicious nonetheless. Warm and friendly atmosphere. Great service!

Excellent coffee and a warm welcoming atmosphere!

Google
Cool coffee shoppe with great quality food but very expensive overall and the coffee was just ok. Staff was friendly, the restaurant space was nice with outdoor seating available, and for the most part it was clean. They didn’t have many people working and it was somewhat apparent as napkins and things weren’t stocked and the two people working were hustling hard behind the counter serving people. I got a great bacon egg and cheese sandwich with avocado but it was $13 which is crazy for a 5 inch sandwich (however it was delicious).

Yelp
Visited on a Monday morning for a work session with a friend. It's not big but there are at least 3-4 tables (depending on how you combine them) and counter seating as well. We were able to snag a table for a couple hours and it didn't get too busy inside during our time here so we didn't feel bad staying long. For drinks, I ordered a regular coffee which was delicious. My friend wanted a decaf iced tea which they kindly brewed fresh and poured over ice since they didn't have it immediately ready. She enjoyed her drink too. Super cute cafe with a huge menu and good wifi! Great for a work session or just a quick stop.

Emily O.

Yelp
Their ice chai lattes are yummy but they charge $1 for oat milk. All the food looks very good. There's a good amount of seats and tables to enjoy your drink and read.

Yelp
This was a pleasant surprise for a small shop on an inconvenient corner downtown Boston. WORTH THE STOP THOUGH! Absolutely delicious, homemade Aussie pies. The pie was heartily stuffed with quality ingredients and the crust was flaky and cooked to perfection. Aussie pie is a must order item! The coffee was pleasant as well - a lot of different choices! Overall, high quality experience and service.

Yelp
Food: My sweet tooth craving kicked in all of a sudden, and I was on the way to Corepower Yoga (right opposite the street), so I got this raspberry peanut butter bar (good choice). DELICIOUS, perfectly sweetened, satisfied my craving, and not too big! All of their desserts looked good honestly, it was hard to pick! Next time I get another craving, I'll be back. Service: There was only one guy behind the counter and his enthusiasm was not there. He also seemed a bit lost when I asked him on desserts. Ambiance: Cute store in a great area filled with tons to do!

Yelp
When we visit Boston we usually stay in the Ink Block, which makes Cuppacoffee a perfect first stop before the day's adventure. I feel like I always notice something else new or interesting when we stop in -- beats the heck out of the decor in your average Starbucks. The iced vanilla latte is incredibly consistent. I get it every single time, and it's strong and flavorful every single time. Next visit I'm determined to branch out a bit more and try some of the food items. The service is always friendly and fast. I'd love to have another coffee shop like this one closer to home.

Brooke C.

Yelp
Cuppacoffee is a very cute coffee shop with lots of character. The employees are very kind and welcoming. I messed up my mobile order and they were kind enough to offer a way to fix it. I got one of the breakfast pies and a matcha latte. I didn't find myself enjoying either of those purchases but perhaps their other menu items are better!

Sandy Y.

Yelp
Cute little spot that was near the place I was staying at! Once I found out there were Australian goodies served here, I knew I had to stop by. I got the Ned Kelly meat pie (Beef, Bacon, Egg & Cheese) and a pumpkin soy latte. Enjoying these at one of the tables outside was such a great start to my day! This was my first time having an Aussie meat pie, and I LOVED IT. I'm a huge fan of baked goods with crust.. so this was a no brainer for me to order! It's packed with beef and your typical breakfast fillings- bacon, egg, and cheese. So so good. A must order at Cuppacoffee! The pumpkin soy latte was also great. The pumpkin didn't taste like artificial flavoring, and was the perfect fall flavor. It came with latte art too! Loved my visit to this little cafe. Highly recommend for anyone in the area looking to grab a bite!

Yelp
Wandering somewhere beside the interstate in the Ink Block, I happened upon this oasis in the coffee desert. Things Cuppacoffee has going for it: the name. I mean, come on, why couldn't I come up with that? The straight-up coffee: smooth and delish non-biting regular drip varieties. The froufrous: short and long macchiatos, babycino, affogato. The cold: red-eye, long black, australian (mate), depth charge (scary). Don't skip the "loit brekkie" unless it's that time of day for a brumby or bushrang-eh. And perhaps maybe it's midday and time for the BLAT ("now that's a sandwich"). Linger awhile inside to the sound of classic 80s soft rock, or outside to the sound of air-braking semis. Your panini will make you forget all that ills, and that lamington or anzac cookie pairs nicely with a doppio. Catch up on all your decades-old Aussie breaking-news articles as you're transported to the days of yore in the bottom half of the world. Save me a seat and order me a cuppa for my next visit.

Yelp
I was trying to hide from the rain when I stumbled upon this unique coffeeshop. Aussie theme decor and snacks! I had a brownie like dessert with a London fog latte with alternative milk. There's a side room with some seating and pretty decent wifi. I saw a little shelf of books if you don't have something to read. Great spot for work or writing. Basically stayed until close at 4pm. I'd come back here for a quiet spot to work on my laptop!

Alana K.

Yelp
I came here on a Monday morning to get a coffee and get some work done. Marathon Monday, in fact. I have never seen such a quiet café! There's free wifi, plenty of indoor seating, and outlets, so it's a great place to be productive. I started the morning with a small (16oz) iced coffee. I thought it had an odd flavor; almost fragrant even though I had it black. I think it's just the type of bean, but it was somewhat off-putting. When it was time for lunch, I ordered a sesame bagel and a smal (8oz) hot pumpkin latte with almond milk. They have a lot of flavors and quite a few options for non-dairy milks. The latte was a lot better than the iced coffee. The flavor of the espresso was good, the pumpkin syrup wasn't overly sweet, and the milk was steamed very well. The bagel was pretty standard. They have more exciting options for pastries, like Australian meat pies ($8) and sausage rolls ($6), but the prices seemed a bit inflated for how small the pies were. The staff were very friendly and the café is clean and spacious. I wish the prices were more affordable, but at least the quality of the food and the espresso is decent.

Areeba Z.

Yelp
Cute cute cute! I was walking towards Broadway station one morning and came across this cafe. It was pretty early and the space was empty. I really liked the interior, was a warm abs welcoming feel. They had a variety of baked goods and savoury items to choose from. The coffee was easy to order, the i Larissa was very friendly. They also have a lot of space for indoor dining. I'm not sure what the wifi situation is, but could be a good spot to get work done.

Yelp
This place is amazing! I came in on a Sunday afternoon looking for a latte and was not disappointed. When I told the staff it was my first time there, they were very helpful and started explaining the menu and recommending me drinks and food based on my preferences. I got the southern cross latte and the Ned Kelly meat pie. The latte was the best latte I've ever had in my life and was beautiful when it came out. I've never had an Australian meat pie before this so hard to say how it ranks vs others, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. While fairly expensive, it is definitely worth treating yourself to this place. It is great spot for a coffee date or catching up with friends and the Australian decor is very cute. Will definitely come back! Bring someone here who you want to impress!

Jess C.

Yelp
Good coffee, may be a bit pricey - a bit over $7 for 16 oz flavored latte. Southern cross, English toffee, French vanilla, etc. are all good flavors. Beef&cheese Aussie pie is good, and the pastries are decent. And staffs are friendly.

Jewels G.

Yelp
Average. Egg sandwich was with a hardboiled egg and microwaved cheese. Was disappointed in the food, should have gotten a hand-pie, since that's more of what they are known for. I did not order coffee.

MacKenzie E.

Yelp
I drive past Cuppacoffee every week but haven't had a chance to try it. Today was my first time going and I'm so glad I did! The staff was so welcoming. The barista helped me choose which latte I should get based on my taste preferences. I got one of their special lattes with mocha and macadamia nut and it was great! I also got their beef and cheese meat pie and it was delicious! The barista set me up for their rewards program which was a nice bonus. I'll back back again for sure!

Jason G.

Yelp
Classic coffee shop in the south end. Amazing ambiance and cozy vibes along with multiple Australian decoration. The coffee shop has wonderful service and a delightful collection of music that they play throughout. A great staple piece coffee shop for Boston

Kerry C.

Yelp
Such a cute coffee shop in the south end. The service here is great, I could totally see this being a coffee shop that you come to get work done and hang out. I didn't get to try the food, but I will update once I go back.

Thomson X.

Yelp
This was the closest coffee to our AC hotel. I think the flat white I had there was overall. I think this place gets some bonus points for the vibe. You'll notice a lot of Australian touches and they also offer some Australian snacks there too. I would like to try next time when I'm there.

Yelp

Yelp
You beautie! Found a decent Aussie shop with great coffee and meat pies.. wahoo. Lovin it..

Serim N.

Yelp
First time visiting for bagel sandwich...please let us have fly-free food at least....this is not right!

Kelly T.

Yelp
Words cannot express how much I enjoy going for my weekly coffee here. The staff is amazing always friends my and make an effort to make your day just a little better. The coffee is fresh and tasty and the pastry are so good! Guy and Niko are some of the friendliest baristas around. Pop in for a coffee or muffin, you won't regret it!

Chris C.

Yelp
A unique Aussie gem in the gentri-hood. Friendly helpful baristas. All the coffee or tea drinks you'd want, and brekkie sandwiches, meat pies, and sweets you can't find anywhere else in Boston I'd reckon. Tim tams and Anzac biscuits? Yes please. It's not pasties and hob nobs, but thier equally fun cousins from Down under. Also never crowded and decent seating both in and out.

Meredith A.

Yelp
I was walking around, carrying all my heavy groceries, and was so happy to come accross this place! My latte was excellent. The service was also very friendly and the space nice and cozy.

Dawn E.

Yelp
Swung in here while I was staying at the AC Marriott on Albany st. Easy walk over. Metered parking around. Seems like a locals spot. Friendly service, gave ideas for me to choose. Grabbed the smashed avocado toast - tasty. Wish there was a dressing on the little side arugula and tomato salad. Also scooped some fresh orange juice.. amazing.

Alissa B.

Yelp
Delicious food, snacks and coffee! Super friendly staff. I'll be back often! Must Try!!!

Janet S.

Yelp
Great coffee, solid meatpies/rolls!!! This was very close to my hotel location and it was great to talk to the staff about Australian coffee. The lighter roasts taste a little darker than other light roasts but has a surprisingly smooth finish like a light roast. The spinach feta roll hits the spot for a morning pastry to go with your coffee! It is next to a highway bridge but when you are inside, it is clean, quiet, and comfy and feels like a hidden gem tucked next to the highway.

Blake F.

Yelp
A friend of mine and I decided to meet up in Boston and decided to meet at Cuppacoffee. Cuppacoffee is located right inside a condominium building and is easily accessible. I walked in and was warmly welcomed by the two employees behind the counter. They explained their Australian style menu to me including their traditional meat pies. However, they also had items including chocolate croissants and breakfast bowls. I decided to order both a chocolate croissant and a breakfast bowl with both strawberries and blueberries. The person I was with got a cup of coffee as well. Getting my food took a little long, but getting the breakfast bowl was responsible for the long wait. Also, they had a community message board, which could be drawn on with chalk. While waiting, I couldn't resist, but put up some message in support of the Super Bowl LII Champion, Philadelphia Eagles! #FlyEaglesFly I eventually took my breakfast upstairs to my friend's apartment's rooftop to enjoy breakfast. The chocolate croissant was very good as it was light and airy. The chocolate inside was also fresh and delicious! I wasn't the biggest fan of the breakfast bowl as it was basically just a large parfait. Altogether, CuppaCoffee is a cute, little coffee shop that serves some good breakfast items.

Damien S.

Yelp
Yay! I'm a fan totally says it all for this Cuppacoffee. It's never crowded, pours a mad iced coffee (courtesy of Red Barn Roasters), and has a genuinely pleasant staff. Wifi is comp-a-doodle-doo, and it's lightning fast. I find myself drawn to Cuppacoffee because it's off the beaten path, and short seating plays to your favor if you're first to grab the community table. Pies are solid! Truth be told, I prefer Sam's meat pies over at KO - they're more substantial, a bit flakier, and have the savory advantage. However, Cuppacoffee will give you five inches for just over five bucks, and that ain't something you can find in Southie. Well, you can, but there's no Yelp listing for it. OHNOHEDINT Anyway, pop in here for a smile, an Anzac cookie and an artsy foamy latte. Or don't. I'm not the boss of you.

Matt R.

Yelp
Amazing coffee, service, and the Aussie pies are so good! Definitely will be coming back for more.

Brady T.

Yelp
Coffee is fine. Was charged 80 cents for a splash of half and half. Won't be coming back.

Berkley B.

Yelp
A little gem in the heart of the city. Their Hazelnut flavored coffee is to die for, and they have plenty of outlets. Making this the perfect spot for a few hours of work or lounging. The staff was friendly, and gave me insight into the flavor notes of all their roasts and brews. They had plenty of healthy (and not so healthy but yummy looking) food options as well! Their space is quiet, dark, and rustic. It had a warehouse / market sort of vibe. Loved it!

Emily C.

Yelp
Very small coffee shop conveniently located in the South End area. The employees are very friendly and helpful with suggestions. They also offer free WiFi which is great if you decide to work remotely.

John M.

Yelp
Awesome place with amazing food options! I had the peach iced tea and a spinach feta pastry. Can't wait to comeback and try all the other ones! Shoutout to Kyle behind the counter with his friendliness and knowledge!!

Nina L.

Yelp
I went here this weekend for an Instagram event. I'd never been to Cuppacoffee before, but I was excited to try a new spot to get my caffeine fix. It's an Australian coffee shop (they even serve Tim Tams!) in the South End, close to Ink Block. We went with the cold brew with white mocha flavoring and a hot mocha coffee. The cold brew was so smooth and did not have a hint of bitterness. The mocha was perfectly bold with a hint of chocolate flavor and not too sweet. The biggest difference between this cup of coffee and one made by a chain coffee shop was the foam and boldness of the beans (sometimes burnt beans find their way into mass produced espresso drinks). Would definitely recommend any of their coffees as I'm sure they are delicious. They are definitely a bit more on the pricey side, but totally worth it for coffee that will keep you going for hours.

Olivia W.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick drink and found this hidden gem. It's a pretty small coffee shop, but the menu is fairly extensive - any drink (caffeinated or not) you could want is available and the barista who greeted us was more than helpful in navigating the menu. We both tried hot chocolates to warm up from the winter chill and were not disappointed, it was rich and chocolatey - perfect! The vibe of the space is quaint with lots of seating and board games and books if you feel like you want to stay a while. Overall a great option for a quick drink/snack in the area - way less crowded than the Tatte across the street. Highly recommend!

Michelle S.

Yelp
This place caught my eye just bc of the name, as I was waiting to cross the street, on my visit to Boston, Labor Day weekend. So, I had to try it. It's a cute quaint place with a large selection of Australian coffees, teas and baked items. I had a regular cuppa coffee with raspberry flavor, which was ok. However, I loved the oatmeal coconut fresh baked cookie. It wasn't too sweet, moist, just the right amount of coconut, tho you can never have too much coconut for me. The barista was friendly, and he really tried to get my son to try one of the baked breakfast items, but he didn't want anything.

Coco C.

Yelp
Little hideaway near Haymarket Station. The latte is smooth and creamy, but the chicken and curry pie was so-so. WiFi was also very slow. But the staff is friendly and it's a great place to grab coffee to go

Tevis S.

Yelp
Three takeaways: Fantastic espresso. Quality service with a personal touch. Australian theme and flavor. Recently moved into the apartments above and decided to try out this coffee shop. When I walked in, I was greeted by the owner, Todd, an Australian gentleman who has a strong love of coffee. He was patient in answering all my questions about the coffee, the food and his Australian theme. He was also training a new staff member, highlighting the need for being attentive and delivering quality in both service and espresso making. So you're wondering what's Australian about this place? Well Todd shared it is that the way they do their espresso. To me it is a little stronger and flavorful. They also have these awesome breakfast meat and vegetarian pies. Last but not least they have Tim Tams and even tell you how to do the Tim Tam Slam. Fair warning, that if you do the Tim Tam Slam, you're likely to get chocolate all over your face and fingers your first time. The regular coffee isn't anything to rave about, which means it's not great but not bad. The regular pastries leave a lot to be desired. There muffins, scone and croissant I have tried all were dry on the inside and lacking much flavor. Despite that I love this place! Every visit back since the first, either Todd or another staff have been wonderful to chat with and order from. The quality is consistent and taste is deliciously amazing.

Osh K.

Yelp
The most boring coffee shop ever, I walked into pure silence in here no music, no people and some sleepy looking employees, yes it was Sunday but the coffee shops I visit are a lot more exciting than this one. This place felt like it belonged at a train station. The prices are pretty steep for nothing special. I got this egg and cheese pie with a small cup of coffee for $9.50 I was like wow I must be in the south end but I was expecting something outstanding. The good thing is Peets coffee is around the block from here and that's where I will be heading from now on when in the area again..

Fi H.

Yelp
I enjoyed a delicious, well made Latte. Correct ratio of coffee to milk and beautiful crema on top. A+ barista technique, making my morning a doable endeavor. I didn't indulge in any of the food, but it looked legit delicious Australian (I am Aussie, so qualified opinion here). Available selection I saw were meat pies, sausage rolls, Tim Tams, Caramello Koalas and Anzac biscuits (cookies as the Yanks would say).

Jason F.

Yelp
We woke up this morning excited to be staying at a hotel so close to what looked to be a trendy coffee shop. Much to our dismay Cuppacoffee Coffee May be the furthest thing from good. Blueberry muffin tasted like day old cornbread. I'm pretty sure it could fix one of the potholes out front. 20 minutes later we were called to get our lattes, which of course were wrong. Another 20 minutes later we were served a breakfast bowl (on a plate) which consisted of old fermented yogurt with the consistency of whale sperm and cold panini that almost chipped my tooth. I will forever think about what else I could have done with that $40. The added protein fruit fly (see pic) must have cost extra.

Wangeci N.

Yelp
Stopped by to grab a quick bite and I was immediately greeted by a nice barista! I tried a salted caramel macaron and a grilled cheese and I was very pleased with how tasty it was. I love how much seating is available plus board games and free WiFi. Next time I'll be brave and try a pie!

Ryan R.

Yelp
Went here to grab a drink and a bite to eat early on a Saturday morning. First off, the people here are so nice and friendly and really make you feel at home. I decided to go with an iced chai tea and a beef pie and a raspberry almond muffin--I was hungry! The chai tea was great, the muffin was also good, and the beef pie was excellent. Definitely more than enough food for breakfast and high quality as well. This is a nice spot for coffee and some snacks in the neighborhood.

Angel C.

Yelp
These guys are really friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed the breakfast pie, I only ate half though cause they are so filling.. the mochas are really tasty. Nothing bad to say, thank you!!

Chris S.

Yelp
The store is well presented and the coffee is great however the Aussie meat pies are ridiculously overpriced. They are close to twice price you would pay for a meat pie in Australia.

Alex P.

Yelp
Great friendly service, and loved our mocha and muffins. Really glad we stopped by after checking out the outdoor graffiti art in the area. Will have to visit again.

Jason K.

Yelp
Having decided to take a very roundabout way to get to work, I wanted to check out Cuppacoffee since I happened to be in the same area. I was not expecting to be crazy impressed this early in the morning since well, it's the morning. Upon walking in though, I inadvertently discovered that I walked in Australian coffee shop in the middle of the South End. Filled with Australia memorabilia and meat pies, I thought I teleported to Australia. The cashier was courteous and prepared the ice coffee fairly quickly. The ice coffee was pretty strong and pretty high quality. I will be back to check out their espresso, dig into their meat pies, and grab a tim tam or two on my return. Honestly, I dunno what took me so long to discover this hidden gem but I am so glad to have gone off the beaten tracks to drop by here. IG: Mood4foodeatery

Yelp
Best coffee in Boston. Expect a bit of a delay for freshly prepared food during rushes in the morning, small team and a lot of folks passing through for a caffeine fix on their way to work. Food is very good and team, when workload permits, are great for conversation.
