Rise Bakery in Austin is a fresh and exciting addition to the city’s growing coffee and dessert scene. I visited twice to try their drinks and was especially impressed by the Iced Mocha which was rich, well-balanced, and refreshing. While the White Chocolate Mocha was decent, the Iced Mocha stood out with its flavor and quality. What really makes Rise unique is their cupcake concept, taking inspiration from the Crumbl model by offering a rotating cupcake menu. I haven't tried the cupcakes yet, but after my great experience with their coffee and friendly service, I’m definitely coming back for them.
The space is sleek and minimalist, aiming for a modern aesthetic, but it could use a bit more warmth. The current modular design feels more like a pop-up than a cozy spot to linger. If they’re looking to encourage people to spend more time inside, some inviting seating and softer design touches could go a long way. That said, the quality of the drinks and the friendliness of the staff made both visits enjoyable. Rise Bakery has a ton of potential and is definitely worth a visit especially if you’re a fan of creative coffee and rotating sweet treats.
