What a hidden gem here in Palm Desert 🌵 A definite must go to for breakfast or lunch very popular with locals and out of town visitors. Get there early for breakfast as it gets packed on weekends. They have an outdoor patio you can bring your fur baby and the waiters are excellent, as is their service. The food is outstanding and so is the price portions are enough to share for two people but I don’t think you want to because the food is so good. The food is fresh and the coffee comes out nice and hot. The service is friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere and decor is aesthetically pleasing and I will definite go again! Follow me for more places to see and restaurants to eat at.

We love Cups Cafe!!! Their french press is amazing. We get it every time we go. It is bold with a great flavor. The food is always wonderful. Typically we split a savory breakfast and a sweet breakfast. Their seasonal pancakes change and so far each type has been delicious. Today was a caramel apple flavor. We have tried their date, carrot cake, zucchini and their classic buttermilk to name a few. I am a big fan of their omelettes and eggs benedict. Also, the potatoes are yummy. The servers are so personable and down to earth. You really should try this place. It might just become tradition to go every time that you are in town like us.

This place is absolutely amazing! I enjoyed a Saturday brunch with friends + doggie 🐶 here. The wait was a little long because it gets really busy! Nevertheless it was soo worth it! I tried a small bite of everyone’s dish & I can safely say everything was delicious (& big portions!)😋. Dulce was our server and she nailed it! I’m definitely coming back.

Cups Cafe has a nice dog friendly patio and efficient staff. Our server was attentive and responsive to requests. The portions are large. I’m particular about my eggs and they came out perfectly. Food was fresh and served hot. Worth a visit!

The service was amazing I would like to put 10 stars on that. Portion size is good for the price of the plate. The cappuccino was beautiful and tasty. Salsa macha add the extra flavor to the plate 🌶️. Pancakes 🥞 corn pancakes is so sad is only by season because I would love it all year around. They have the place clean and cozy for you to enjoy your delicious meal. 110% recommended.

Incredible. From the warm welcome at host stand through the meal. What a treat for the eyes - adorable setting, aesthetically calming despite busy environment. For the ears - fantastic soundtrack! For the nose - smells of rich coffee, bacon, pancakes and the tummy! Lol, flavors of imported chorizo, bold coffee, tender and fluffy pancakes. Dining tip: go for the French press. 6 cups of full bodied, deep coffee with velvet finish. Dining tip #2: they have an egg chef I'm sure of it! Perfectly prepared and presented, perfect. Hats off to the entire chef team. I saw how hard and dedicated each of you were with your craft. Thank you! The entire floor team WOW!! Working in unison. Well timed check ins, truly heartfelt service. We visit the desert often and surely will be returning.

Brilliant, just brilliant! Come for the lattes, they’re exquisitely done! The service and management are exceptional, friendly and kind folks! Truly enjoyed our experience there!

What a little gem in the desert! First time and won't be our last! The food was delicious and fresh. Everything had FLAVOR, if you know what I mean. Ordered the ranchero steak omelette special, the huevos rancheros and the French toast drizzled with caramel and condensed milk. Damn. I am literally drooling as I type. We scarfed everything down so no picture of food. That good. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu, oh and their coffee, which I didn't get to try because I had exceeded my quota of caffeine for the day. And the service, outstanding! The food was less than mediocre. I tried the shrimp frittata and it was soupy and not good!! I sent it back and got avocado toast. Easy enough? Nope! They managed to mess that up too with bread that's not toasted and avocado mash from a bag. One slice of tomato and a boiled piece of onion that was supposed to be pickled onion. It did not even have vinegar. We got an order of pancakes that was $10 and received one small pancake. Probably the worst breakfast I've ever paid for. The service was okay. Our server got mad at another server for taking our order but she was just trying to be nice and saw we were ready to order. He came up to her while she was taking our order and told her "why are you stealing my table??" Cringe!!!! Ambiance was nice and that's why I gave it 1 star. Trust me when I say skip this place and try all the better breakfast spots in the desert!

This place has a great vibe, the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. It was a busy Sunday and we waited may 10 min. Sat by the kitchen and got to see all of the amazing items come out (which made it difficult to pick just one for myself). My party of four all went for the Chilliquilles. 2 red and 2 green 3 with steak and one with chorizo. The flavor for the sauces were outstanding. They were rich with flavor. Our steaks were cooked to perfection for all of our taste. The waiter even brought us chili oil for the fire moths that were with us who like everything extra spicy. The one thing that I did not like was that the tortilla chips were not crunchy at all. They tasted like they had been pre made and sitting in a chaffing dish. I prefer to have mine cooked "as ordered" fresh and crispy and super hot. My eggs were uneven, 1 was runny and the other over cooked and solid no runny yolk like I ordered. The steak was well seasoned and solid juicy. This was not a cheap cut of meat or a skinny overcooked piece of carne asada. I loved it and my friends loved theirs as well. The chorizo was good quality and tasted great as well. Ordered a side of potatoes and they tasted like they were premade in a chaffing dish and not cooked fresh. Overall the food was good, and the prices for the food are fair. I would definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. Thank you for the great experience and amazing customer service.

Had a great breakfast at Cups Cafe this morning. I ordered the El Ranchero Omelette and a strawberry matcha. My husband had the Chile Verde Omelette Special that was not on the menu, and an iced tea. My Ranchero Omelette was very tasty. The chorizo was flavorful without being spicy or greasy. The order came with a big side of potatoes that were perfectly seasoned and roasted. My strawberry matcha was perfect! My husband also really enjoyed his Chile Verde Omelette served with fresh tortilla chips and beans which he said were great. Fresh iced tea, too. Service was very good as well! Will definitely be back!

4 of us enjoyed our breakfast at this cute spot. Our server was attentive and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. The food was well made and quite fresh - we were all satisfied. The coffee was delicious. We'll be back.

Friendly staff, diverse menu, fast service, great food! I have been there a few times have not been always a positive experience!

I came on a Sunday around 10a and luckily didn't have a long wait time. My waitress was super nice and accommodating. There is a decent amount of seating inside and out, but it wasn't too loud as all the tables were full. I was happy about that as someone who is soft spoken and can't hear that well. The food was absolutely amazing and one of the best breakfast I have had in the valley. I can't wait to show friends and out of towners this spot!

What a cute place both inside and outside. The staff are so attentive and the menu items are more interesting than your basics. They also offer alcoholic beverages too which is a nice touch. Definitely recommend this place.

Stopped here for breakfast today. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service is adequate and the food is "OK". 3-star review because these guys have REALLY jacked up their prices in the last couple of years. $10.00 for two pancakes. $6.00 for four slices of bacon. Ridiculous - good, but definitely not worth these prices.

Came here for breakfast today, the place was busy but we were able to get seated right away. Cute little place is decorated with lots of tea cups, hence the name cups cafe. I ordered the Huevos divorciados which is two eggs on a tortilla each one comes in a different sauce, one is red sauce and the other is a green sauce. My favorite was the red. It comes with beans too. I liked that it was not a heavy meal. My husband ordered the traditional eggs Benedict, which are served with aside of potatoes. I was craving something sweet so I ordered a single seasonal pancake . I was looking forward to a good cup of coffee but I was slightly disappointed. The latte was not that good. I could tell that it was bottled vanilla syrup and it lacked the coffee taste. This is more of a food place not a drink or coffee place.

The wait wasn't too long, and the decor is cute. We enjoyed that huge clock on the wall and the mirrors, cup/mugs, etc. displayed throughout. The inside dining area is spacious, and there's lots of room on the patio, too. Julio was our very helpful and cheerful server. Definitely order the chocolate croissants that are made fresh every Sunday, and the lattes are beautiful. My Chilaquiles with chicken entree was to die for. Ask for different kinds of salsa.

I have wanted to try this restaurant many of times, which my wife has visited a few times. There is not a bad mark here, maybe parking but this is not their issue. Seating was quick and service beat as soon as we sat. Drinks we offered and we kept it to non-alcohol this morning. Black tea and hibiscus tea. Both freak brewed and ice cold. Started with a lox and bagel, and surprising amount of salmon. No skimping here. I had the Cups omelette, Brie cheesecake apples, onions and cilantro. Interesting combo, but overall very tasty. The wife got steak and eggs and the steak was cooked perfectly to order and a great cut of meat. Very tasty. The location is nice. Busy. Bright sinking and very nicely organized with seating to no cramp you. This is a hidden gem.

Amazing as usual!!!!!!!!!!!! Jaime is the best server We even got sent home with some special hot sauce that we paid extra for, but it was well worth it. I have been to cups many times in my life but today is the day to review our meal! I love the ambiance like you are sitting in a family members clean kitchen! The servers are so helpful and you can always ask anyone for anything without worrying if they are your server or not. We started with chavelas which is a beer with savory spices. Delish!! The ahi tostada was a very large portion you could ask for an extra side of chips! French toast was so comforting and would order it again. Overall love this restaurant and would also recommend their iced coffee ( they give you coffee ice cubes so your drink doesn't water down!) 10/10

Amazing food and staff. This is my fav place for brunch. My 92 year old mother has enjoyed her birthday brunch two years in a row here. Whenever we have company if we go out , this is the place

Never have I gone to a restaurant and left hungry. Ordered the Divorced Eggs. The service and ambiance was fine, but with the price of food these days, need to do better on portions. First-time customer who won't be going back.

Do not miss out on this breakfast spot! OMG. I was blown away by the ranchero omelette and delicious cappuccino! My husband got the cinnamon swirl French toast, which was great as well. Service was efficient and quick, the food got to us within 5 minutes of ordering. The place itself is really cute and put together to feel comfy. Highly recommend!

Wow! What a cute & dainty place! Absolutely loved this place and can't wait to return! Our waitress, Karen was exceptional! Very nice and knowledgeable about the food items.. The food was delicious, I ordered the Lobster omelette with a Coconut Mocha it was absolutely phenomenal! Now that omelette was huge! Had breakfast for the rest of the day.. I asked for salsa they brought me some Cholula and some salsa Macha, the salsa Macha is homemade but it's definitely got a kick to it so you might wanna taste it first before adding it to your plate.. my husband ordered the special of the day and he loved it. His beans were so good! also instead of country potatoes I got the hashbrowns and they were so good, toasted to perfection! Unfortunately, this time we didn't try anything sweet other than my mocha but next time we'll probably share something sweet and savory!

What an amazing brunch at Cups Cafe. Mark was our server and was quite professional and attentive. We started with drinks as my wife had the green drink and I had black coffee and cranberry juice. The ambiance is quaint and so friendly and the staff are so kind and helpful. My wife had the Southwest Salad with grilled chicken, and I had the El Ranchero omelet, which were both fantastic. Great customer service, awesome food, and very cozy. Highly recommended.

Was in the area and stopped by after a recommendation. It's very unassuming outside but the food is tasty and and service was pretty good. Here's what we got: Sweet potato fries and the spicy sawse lol super good the mixture of sweet, savory, and spicy was just right, I'd definitely order this again Caesar salad with chicken and avocado - I would say this was pretty good, definitely your standard salad, the presentation was very pretty, I believe the croutons are house made, and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. My usual go to when I am unsure of what I want to eat lol so this for sure hit the spot Children's breakfast meal - pancake and 2 bacon. My little ate the entire meal, and appreciated that the bacon was crispy lol. The presentation was pretty good here as well. We didn't get any drinks outside of water lol so that was that. One recommendation is to sit inside although it's small in there, the outside patio is very pretty but it's really hot in the desert and the sun moves, and will COOK YOU mid meal. That's not fun lol. While we ate our table and a few others moved to different areas on the patio for some much needed shade. 10/10

Okay, I keep coming back here for a reason. I just can't put my finger on it. - Reception- was okay. We were greeted and were told we can only eat outside, and there were at least two (yes bigger) tables available. - Food (Avocado Toast) first serving; The Bread was so hard I had to request a steak knife. When the server brought the knife it was barely connecting from knife to handle (Scary). - As for outside very nice. The ambiance is very welcoming. YET - There are NO FLY TRAPS. Be careful or you'll be ate by the amount of flies, before you eat your food. - Once I got a replacement of the Avocado toast it was yummy. So I guess it's a hit and miss here. Shouldn't be a miss though for the cost of two breakfast. The server was nice.

Great service, usually pretty busy in the mornings/weekends as expected, we joined the waitlist and were sat within 10 mins. The steak and eggs dish is very tasty, I've been here twice and got it again because it was just THAT good! Very cutely decorated inside.

This is an AMAZING breakfast spot! All of their dishes are YUMMY and the service is FANTASTIC and the ambiance is ADORABLE and sweet! Their potatoes are SO GOOD and their pancakes are WOW!!!!

Food, service and ambience are good. The only downside is that it's pricey. I've been coming there for a while and highly recommend when you're visiting Palm Desert.

The outdoor seating is nice and perfect for an early February brunch! They have good options for children and the service was good! The food was tasty! My son even asked for a second pancake! Everyone else's food smelled delicious! I imagine that you can't go wrong with anything that you order!

Food and service was good. We stopped by here. On our way to Phoenix Arizona. The breakfast was solid. The potatoes and the bacon were cooked. The traditional breakfast was solid as well as the lox and bagels. The lox and bagels or deconstructed, which was perfect. You can create your own way to eat it. Highly recommend.

Great food and service. Horchata latte(rice milk) is refreshing drink. The outside patio is a relaxing ambiance for your meal.

Attempted to eat here on Sunday about 12:30pm. There were some people standing outside so we knew there was a wait but was not sure about how long. Went to hostess stand was told 15 minutes. There were about 5 parties before us who were seated so we knew we were next. Then they sat a party that got there way after we did. It seems like the hostess is not familiar with how to work a wait list or to seat guests. If you want to wait. be ignored and not get seated this is the place for you. It actually worked out we didn't eat here as the food was overpriced and did not look or sound appealing.

Nice atmosphere, attentive and polite servers, good food for the value, clean restrooms, both outdoor and indoor seating.

Treated myself to a perfect morning out on their patio and had a fabulous breakfast. Divorce eggs and a delicious brioche sweet bread with blueberries. The service was excellent. No wait. Prices were acceptable. A wonderful place for breakfast. Enjoyed it very much.

We were looking for a new breakfast spot yesterday. The options close to our Palm Desert home have challenges. Went on Yelp and found Cups Cafe about 12 minutes away. While they are listed as Palm Desert their location borders La Quinta. 10 AM on a Tuesday and the place was busy. Busy from my perspective is a good sign. We were seated inside within 2 minutes. Typically would have sat outside but the weather had some challenges yesterday. Place is very cute. They have a cups theme which includes a cups clock (see picture), miscellaneous tea and/or coffee cups on the walls. I was 100% satisfied with our table and the decor. Service was better than I have ever seen in the Coachella Valley. Whomever owns and/or manages Cups Cafe understands how important customer service is. Our waitress and each employee made us feel like an honored guest returning for the 87th time. I don't recall the last time I was treated so well in a local venue. Service alone will get me to return to Cups Cafe on a regular basis. Lobster Omelet bacon, tomato, onions & shredded mozzarella Lovely and delicious omelet. Tons of lobster meat, perfect amount of mozzarella. This omelet was packed with flavor. I rarely order omelets when dining out as most places cook them to death. This omelet was prepared quite well. If I were in the kitchen, I would have cooked it a tad less, but most folks would not like that. The hash brown was crisp precisely the way I like them. This is a dish I shall order again. While it is $19.95 the quantity of lobster included made it a good deal. Bloody Mary Very nice Bloody Mary and a fun presentation. I would have preferred a stronger pour. I like very strong drinks, but most don't. I probably won't order this libation again unless they can add more vodka. This was a 5 star breakfast experience. Clearly, I shall return. There are several other dishes I wish to try.

This is a cute little cafe located in a shopping center. Blink and you'll miss it. This place was recommended to my friend and I so we gave it a go. They have great menu options is the only nice thing I can say though :( The server/waitress that took our order simply just did only that. We NEVER saw her again. We had to flag down others for coffee, or anything else we wanted. It was awful and the food was just ok. Maybe we would have enjoyed our meal under other circumstances, but the service was abominable. I know people have off days, but I informed another staff of the situation and he was even surprised. He ended up helping us, including getting us our check. I told him not to send our original server over because I'd had enough. I don't his name, but he "saved the day"! He was too kind. As we left, I saw him speaking to our original server. I couldn't wait to leave! I was pretty disgusted. Let me put this simply... you know the service is bad when your customer refuses to leave a tip! Do better people! Seriously!

Chilaquiles: 4 stars Very good chilaquiles. I opted for tomatillo sauce, and eggs over easy. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the tortilla chips were fresh and maintained a good crunch as I worked my way down to the bottom of the plate. The tomatillo sauce was very good, but I think they could have used more chile / spice but I understand most people probably do not like spicy breakfast. I did use the provided cholula hot sauce that was on the table which added a little bit of spice. Service: 5 stars! Service is phenomenal at this establishment. We were seated rather quickly for a busy morning and were tended to by a total of three waiters. I look forward to coming back and trying their other breakfast offerings.
