Curbside Burgers

I’m visiting Baton Rouge and while here I wanted to support a fun spot for lunch, Curbside Burgers did not disappoint. The store was clean. The food was delicious. And, in addition, the staff was very friendly. I hope to come back when I can enjoy the back patio. So glad I stopped in.

Firstly, the staff is very friendly. They helped my family and were patient. The food was really good. I got a BBQ burger, my wife got a burger with the egg, and my son got chicken nuggets. I got a side of tots and my son got a shake. The burgers were delicious. The meat isn't great, but it's standard burger. They make up for it in toppings. The burgers tasted great. My wife loved her burger, especially with the over easy egg. My son loved his chicken tenders, which were not the frozen, corn starch breading. They had home made flower breading. The tots were fantastic. They were crunchy and soft inside. Cooked perfectly. My son really loved the shake as well. It was very delicious. Overall, we were very satisfied with this restaurant and when we return to Baton Rouge, we will eat at this restaurant.

It's been awhile, but I visited the site to determine that I was coming here for the Smokin Joe burger. The last time I got the potato tots and decided on the fries tonight. The meal came out lookin good. The burger was fantastic 😋 But, I shouldn't order fries. I got the leftover ones from previous orders 😟 I was very peeved to have a hot burger with cold fries. The kitchen staff messed up. That's why I hated tipping before getting my food because I wouldn't have been generous! It would have been Zero. They cooked me fresh ones. So, I got fresh fries with a cold Badass burger and that was very tasty with I thought was half a pound of bacon and pile of crisp onions, cheesy cheddar with a good Bar B Que sauce. HOWEVER, management redeemed themselves with Awesome customer service. There is no better than being a Satisfied customer with a Great dinner gone bad. They get a 5 ✨️ rating in my Satisfaction walking out with a delicious chocolate milkshake. Heads up, the whip topping was disappointing. It would be better without it.

Delicious burgers and great service! We both got the Smokin' Joe L - tasty, tasty, tasty. The spicy ketchup was the icing on the fries, perfect. Unfortunately, it was too windy to eat outside. If I was a local this would be a Go-To place for us. The shakes looked good.

This place is phenomenal and has awesome burgers and sides! The mushroom burger was recommended by the staff- and it didn’t disappoint. Highly recommend.

Had the big Brett burger and fries. That burger was a top 3 burgers in my lifetime, and I travel all over the world for work and have a lot of burgers. The blend of flavors and the hint of smoke was perfection. Fries were a little soggy, but to be expected since I did takeout. Will definitely come back when it’s time to visit the kids at LSU again!

It’s only up to 3 stars because the cashiers were sweet. Unfortunately the food was taking too long and I notice something was wrong once others gotten their food before me and left. I’m unsure if it was a miscommunication or something wasn’t on the menu but the stares at my direction kinda made me realize something was wrong. I was able to get my refund (I hope) and leave. Maybe I’ll try it next time but it was a bit uncomfortable seeing I was recommended to go there by the supermarket neighboring the store so I had high hopes

We arrived at dinner time. Food was good! The staff not very friendly. The burgers are juicy, and flavorful! Pickles are salty! I love a good burger! I got the Big Brett patty and bread was fabulous, not so much pork belly on the burger or the blue cheese sauce )no flavor)

What has happened to my favorite burger place? Don't eat out often, but when I do Curbside has been my place of choice for a great burger, but after today, not sure I want to go back. The young man working the food window was so foul mouthed and LOUD, the poor cashier and I couldn't hear each other to place my order. Cashier tried to politely tell him she couldn't hear the customers and the way he looked at her and mouthed behind her back was SO RUDE. Yeah, it was busy, and noise from both kitchen and customers dining was loud but REALLY? We sat back by the claw machine so the kids could play and he could be heard all the way back there. Finally, I had to make the kids quit playing and we went outside because I was sick of hearing the F word and bad attitude from him. Wouldn't you know, he was the one who brought out our food. He was pleasant enough when he gave us our food but then went to check on another customer who must of upset him because he turned on dime being belligerent and dropping curse words all the way to the door. And you would think as busy as they were the food would all be fresh when it came out, but our fries and tots were cold and tasted old and over done. The burgers were hot, fresh and as tasty as I remembered, but the fries and tots are rather expensive to just be thrown in the garbage. Sadly, I'm going to have to find another burger place to love. Mainly because I will not have my children exposed to that language and poor attitude. You need to hire more employees like your cashier. She has such a great attitude, goes out of her way to be helpful and makes everyone in my family feel like they are special and getting their order right is important to her. She listens to my children, let's THEM tell her what they want to eat, and that makes them feel good. Really sad that only one lousy employee ruined my favorite burger spot for me, but I won't have my young kids thinking that is acceptable behavior and the best way to show them to stand up for their values is by showing them I do. So sorry Curbside but my once a month burgers won't be from y'all any longer.

Curbside Burgers is a great place to get a burger, and it has a great location right in the middle of the revitalized Government Street Arts and Entertainment District! It's located right by the historical Calandro's Supermarket and shares a parking lot with this store. There's extra parking just west of Calandro's as well. For those not familiar with the evolution of Curbside, they started out as a food truck, a portion of which is now part of their interior decorations. They eventually found their new home in their current location and built a restaurant that has both great interior and exterior spaces. Their exterior courtyard is excellent with plenty of seating and even a stage for live music. The interior has overhead doors that can be opened in good weather to combine the two areas. The menu is burger-based, as one would expect. There's lots of creativity in the selections. There's the KGB Burger, which has praline bacon, a fried egg, and sharp cheddar cheese. There's turkey burgers, lamb burgers, basic burgers, or you can build your own. There's usually a burger special that is different and delicious. These can be had with fries or tater tots. All is as it should be! They also do milkshakes and root-beer floats. One can even have a boozy shake if one wants. They also have a full bar and lots of beers for those that wish to drink. There's a good selection of soft drinks for those that don't. It's easy like this place, you should try it out!

Looking for a solid burger at lunch when the weather is nice? Look no further. Curbside seems to be the go-to location for us at work after a training program we help with twice a year. This year we got ghosted by everyone from outside our employer but about eight of us from work ate here. The others missed out. Curbside is an order at the counter and have your food brought to you kind of place. While there is indoor seating, outside is where you want to be. We normally sit around the corner under the little pavilion. There is a long table that will hold ten or so. The burgers are pretty good and there are so many different varieties to choose from. I usually stick with the shroomin which as you can imagine, has mushrooms. Don't expect some massively thick hand formed patty but do expect a good burger. Get a side of tots and your meal is complete. Looking for a good burger for lunch? Look no further than Curbside.

We were recommended to try this place and let's just say they did not disappoint, definetly worth the drive! The cashier was kind and helpful when we were asking questions about the menu, and once we ordered, the food came out in a decent amount of times The outdoor seating area is really nice and shaded so we decided to enjoy the sun and our meal outside. Overall,, this place was super delicious for a burger spot, and we will definetly be stopping by next time we are in BR!

We had never tried curbside before but had heard good things. We ordered the John Denver burger, which was a little messy but tasty, and some sides. The onion straws and tots were tasty, but the CTC shake was the clear winner. It was the perfect way to top off a tasty meal. We would definitely eat here again.

I was craving a burger during a quick visit to Baton Rouge and found this restaurant. The burger was ok. The alcoholic drinks were canned. The milkshake was tasty. The atmosphere was cute.

A great spot for a good, juicy burger! Right on government street, Curbside has such a great atmosphere! I feel a little retro when I done here lol, but the inside is nice and big and there is an outside area where you can sit and bring your dog. You order your food at the counter, and it comes to your table in a reasonable amount of time. I always get a classic burger with cheese and a side of tots... they don't come together you have to order them separately, but they are worth it! The burger is always on point and the tots are always crispy on the outside, just how I like them. I have always wanted to try one of their boozie shakes, but have never had one and they look so good! They have a drink menu too.

Fun spot but just not my favorite burger in town. Lots of options though and a fun outdoor space.

Over the last several years, my experiences at Curbside have gradually declined. On this most recent visit, right at a peak lunch time, my wife and I both noted that this were different. The unflavored burger patty was enclosed by a cold/stiff bun, which had zero taste. The fries were good, but for the price, a small amount- even compared to past visits. I'm not sure this burger would crack the top 10 within Baton Rouge, but the best thing going for it was the environment. Without that, I would say try it, but you likely wouldn't go back.

A delicious restaurant with a great atmosphere! I got to curbside at 7:30 on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised that it was not crowded at all! They even had live music being played by a local band which added an extra plus to the already nice outdoor area. I got the spicy chicken sandwich with a side of friend pickles and a fountain drink. The spicy chicken was not too spicy which I enjoyed and the buns have a nice butter layer on the outside of them which made it soft and sweet. The fried pickles were also delicious. They came with ranch to dip in and were fried to perfection. Our food also came out relatively fast. Overall, I will be going back and would recommend to family and friends!

I absolutely love this place!! It is a bit pricey which would be my only complaint but it is really good quality so it's not too bad! I love their parm truffle fries and their spicy ketchup! Their outside and inside decor is amazing and has an awesome vibe! The staff is very nice and patient whenever we came!

Food was not warm and omg, ordered extra fries just to have them divide a few in each container. I will not return to this place. What a jip

Came across this spot on Instagram a few weeks ago and decided to drive out and check them out. I'd give it a 5 out of 5 for the service and the ambiance I loved it. Now the food was ok we couldn't decided on a couple things so we tried two different burgers and the chicken sandwich which had to be my favorite and also the boneless wings in two different flavors. Out of everything the chicken sandwich was the best as far as the wings I had high hopes for the Nashville hot and the Korean bbq but I wasn't a big fan and the fries were hand cut which was a plus!! Check them out if you're into burgers you can also build your own.

I don't really care for burgers but the Smokin Joe(L) was one of the best restaurants burgers I've every had. The smoke sauce on it makes it pop, and you can taste it in every bit. The onion rings were also a great compliment The other burger, The Barbie Burger, always was good. The cashier let us taste the pork belly preserve and the roasted poblano Mayo. The preserve allow was strong and salty but on the burger it compliments everything well. The Roasted poblano Mayo tasted like regular Mayo The sides, tots and fries, were nothing spicy. Just add your own salt. They have spicy ketchup as well. Way spicier than Whataburger's so I recommend. The chocolate chip cookie was also great and soft and they bake them in house. The service was okay. Nothing special or out the ordinary. We went around 5ish and no one was there but as we left it was definitely starting to pick up

I had been wanting to try this place for a while, but never did. The service was quite fast, you go up and order at the counter and they bring your food to you. We got the smokin' joe and a side of truffle fries. The burgers were absolutely delicious!! I was pretty impressed, I haven't had too many burgers in Baton Rouge, but I'd probably say these are my favorite, in BR at least. The truffle fries were amazing. Very clean, and lots of natural lighting. The outside seating looked nice as well.

It's been years since I've been here. I remember the food was good however my recent visit was very disappointing. I ordered Chile Cantina Crunch and loaded tots. First the burger it was extremely disappointing. I was expecting like tortilla chips maybe I should have read, but it was Doritos and they were stale like there was no crunch whatsoever, and the burger was extremely salty like I need to drink plenty of water. The burger I got didn't look necessarily like the picture I'm seeing currently on their Instagram but it was a to go order so presentation probably isn't an important factor. The sauce I believe it's like a queso didn't have any flavor to it which I guess is fine because the burger was salty. The loaded tots were extremely salty as well so with the queso not having any flavor I guess it kinda balanced out the saltiness. But I couldn't eat it all because I'm sure my blood pressure was through the roof with the few bites I had. The speed of service wasn't bad I was able to get my food and make it to my meeting in time. The waitress was kind and restaurant was very clean like I remembered but the food was horrible. I was very disappointed.

Always come when I am in town visiting. Yummy burgers and fries and the kids love the milkshakes!! Quick service clean spot for good burgers and fries

Great selection of toppings and burger varieties! Fast and friendly service! Casual and family friendly, but you could grab an adult drink with friends, too. Nice patio to dine outside. Generous servings! Very good burger! Onion rings were good not anything that special. Everything is well priced!

Easy to order and all employees are nice and helpful. We enjoyed our time there at lunchtime on Mardi Gras day. I had a really good salad !

copied from the email I sent the manager that still has yet to be acknowledged My family and I went in for dinner on 1/11/24. The cashier gave me and my family the dirtiest looks from the moment we walked in. She didn't greet us, ask if she could take an order. She blank face stared at me like I had done something wrong or it wasn't the procedure to order from her. This was our first experience there and it was awful. She never thanked us for business, she gave my elderly father attitude because she didn't hear him order a coke and Diet Coke. Instead she fought with him that "we don't do combos". He then stated he had asked for a coke and Diet Coke, instead of acknowledging the mistake she slung the cups at him. Then she stared me in the eyes like I did something to her. So I asked the Bartender if we had done something wrong. And she said she's having a bad day with family news. That's fine. I have also had a bad day and did not need that attitude when we just wanted something to eat. She continued to look me in the eye give me dirty looks as we sat to eat, along with the other lady whose braids were down. I thought you should know. Also looking at the receipt she charged us for to go, when we said we were eating in.

We tried and not coming back. Service was good and ambiance is good, staff are nice as well BUT food is below par. Burgers are smaller than usual and tastes just normal. Spicy Chicken sandwich is literally fried chicken, bun, and a slice of cheese. I think they sure lack ANY creativity in making burgers. Here is the kicker. 4$ for 12 fries. I counted. Kids burger is smaller than my 8 yr old palm. Please don't say that food prices are up because so are the prices on the menu, and the guilt tripping about 18% tips. I am not sure why they get voted in 225.

Dude. Tater tots and alcohol shakes. What a business plan! Fortunately, for my waist I have only been here once, but the food was quite decent. Not at all greasy, burgers were not over cooked. Somehow the tots stay relatively crispy in spite of all the toppings. This is definitely a family place. But due to the large outside space it takes a lot for it to get crowded. A portion of the outdoor space is covered with fans so it's great.

First time and it was.... as expected. Good not amazing. Just an enjoyable hamburger with fresh toppings and some fat cut fries on the side... (technically a bacon cheeseburger, but I digress.) I gotta say... hella expensive for the Truffle Fries when you only get a little tiny paper boat full of them. And they seemed underdone while simultaneously looking as though their fries might always look like that?.. if that makes sense lol. They tasted good just needed that crispy crispy yo. That crispy crispy . Oh a big "small win" tho--they got Barq's Red Creme Soda on fountain tap! That was an awesome surprise. A smaller "small win" is the burger did not come with condiments automatically on it. So although I ordered it plain and it came to the table dressed, it was okay cuz it was just the lettuce, tomato, onions, and the pickles on the side next to it . WHICH I APPRECIATED VERY MUCH. Cuz then I could actually enjoy some freshness on my burger without it being ruined by wet condiments applied via cashier mistake. Overall, there are better burgers and fries out there for the same price range and cheaper. But it's not bad food. It was good food.... just not the best food. I might go back one day but probably not if other options are available on that given day. Just being real! (PS.. minus the mistake with my burger not being wrung up as plain, I will mention that the customer service was pleasant nonetheless ).

The ambiance was incredible! The style and design is second to none at this little hole in the wall. The live music was great too! The burgers were decent, but nothing to write home about. Service was an issue here, they clearly did not have the staff to keep up with the crowds.

the place was very welcoming and cute, the food came fast and was pretty great. the only thing is that the tots are quite greasy. they weren't bad, just greasy. i would recommend this place if you're in a hurry or craving something buttery and savory.

Had the shroomin+jammin, fry's, tots and a coke The burger was really good. $10.99 Fries were good $2.75 Tots were over cooked $2.75 The coke was a coke. 2.75 It was good but I don't think is was a $10 burger. Fries were small, tots were small, coke was all you can drink. Staff excellent, quick getting the food about 5-10 min. Very clean place with seating inside and out. The food was pricey but if you can afford it. Head on down.

I got just the cheese burger and truffle fries to go, Fries were soggy and the cheese on the burger wasn't even melted. All for $17, you are better off going to Atomic Burger. I won't be back.

I've been going to Curbside for a good while now and it never disappoints! I love their burgers and tots the best. Their loaded tots are my favorite - the GC2 and brunch tots are heavenly. My favorite burger there is the shroomin' + jammin' burger which never fails to disappoint. The staff has always been friendly and spot on with their service. Their Instagram is always up to date with the deals of the day, specials, and upcoming events they are having. Their Instagram also has some great pics that capture their food and fun atmosphere! I love their outside seating area because it is so cute and open. Definitely a great spot for brunch on Sundays or to watch a game with friends! They also have a 21+ only patio section outside with a little bar which I love. Cannot wait to go back!

This former food truck is now a brick and mortar near Doe's and it was a tough decision on where to eat on a recent trip to BR. I didn't want a 3lb steak, so I came here. I ordered the Barbie Burger. Dont usually get specialty burgers, but this one looked awesome on Yelp and it ended up tasting awesome too. The pork belly preserve, or PBP as they call it, really takes this burger to a new level as other reviewers indicated. I added lettuce, tomato and subbed the American for cheddar. I couldn't taste the poblano peppers in the mayo, but thats fine, it was already a flavor explosion on its own. I ordered a side of fresh cut fries and a chocolate shake. Although they rang up a strawberry shake. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they forgot to make my milkshake and I had to remind them at the end of my meal. They weren't even busy either. So I had to deduct a star. The interior reminds me a little of Slim Chickens. Although they have a shorter ceiling and an added bar and milkshake prep area. Outdoors they have a nice sized patio with a small stage for live music.

So yummy! The burgers & fries are so good. The bread is the best part to me ...So soft & buttery. I ordered online and the food was ready when I got there. The customer service was great. I'll be back for sure!

Was very excited to try this place being that I'm a burger lover. My tots & shake was great! The burger was underwhelming & slightly dry. Seemed as though the staff was slightly annoyed & were trying to give off the impression that they were about to close (cleaning up loudly). I would give it another try, I just hope the experience is better.

Amazing restaurant. They have an amazing atmosphere for all ages. The Barbie Burger was my favorite, super friendly staff, wide-variety of burger options. Would definitely recommend to others!

My favorite burgers of Baton Rouge. At first I was like "$15 for a combo meal" after the meal... I would do it all over again and again!(: Nothing was bad about my experience at Curbside. Fast, sweet service. Cool vibe. Tasty food with high quality ingredients. All for a solid price. I WILL BE BACK!

I was in the neighborhood and wanted a quick bite. Thought this would be a hand crafted gourmet burger for the price. Not! Average at best. Cold fries and a drink for $18.88 with tip. Won't be back.

The burger is very good. The bread has a hint of sweetness which I personally love. Their fries I didn't find particularly noteworthy. I love their back patio and the fact that pups are welcome. Great nee addition to midcity Government street.

Highly recommend the 'Barbie 2.0 Burger' with the Truffle Parm Frites. The drive and seating( indoor and outdoor) are worth dining in for with amazing food service!!! 10/10 Will be making this my TOP BURGER joint from now on!! Pros: *Burger buns are extremely fluffy and soft to eat( almost melt with every bite) *There's amazing flavors in the Burger Patty's( extremely tender) *Service is extremely friendly!

I LOVE curbside!! They just won "Best Burger" in the 225 for the 3rd year in a row if that tells you anything! Along with their yummy food, they have good drinks too! I love getting their frozés that come in regular and blueberry flavors. And to top it off, they are pet friendly! what's better than that?! Check them out if you're looking for a good burger! There are a lot of pros to this place but, ultimately, I think the food is just ok. It's always a bummer when a burger place with a small menu doesn't ask you how you want your burger cooked. The patties look like pre-made/frozen so it's kind of sad to pay $9 for one ... and they don't come with fries. It's expensive for what it is. That being said, customer service is excellent, it's nice to be able to get cocktails and beers, the patio is amazing and it's super super kid friendly.

Have eaten here a few times and don't really understand how it wins best burger in Baton Rouge in some publications. Seems like they try too hard with the toppings, which some people may be impressed with. The burgers I've had from there just didn't taste good tho. One being a bit dry and the other being so greasy I couldn't finish it. As well they aren't generous at all with the tots given how small the boats they serve in are and how much they cost. I will say tho, this is a really good place if you have kids. The outdoor area gives people plenty of room to move around and make noise. With how many great burgers there are in baton rouge tho, I really wouldn't recommend curbside.

First off, very kid-friendly place (like kids going wild) also would help if there was a live performer. The stage outside brought a performer vibe but there was no performer (?!?!). Now let's get to the food -- simple and not too overpriced, just right. The food could have been fresher but the loaded cheese tots... A HIT. My babooski had the turkey burger made into a grilled chicken, we appreciate y'all for this! I can definitely see me and my babooski coming back again, but I should imply an open-mic night!! Before I go, the buns.... sweet but buttery

This place got best burger in 225 so I wanted to see for myself and I was very much pleased, it was an absolutely delicious burger, crispy fries and rich chocolate milkshake. The restaurant was clean and the waitstaff was eager to please and courteous. I'm still not sure if this is the best burger place in Baton Rouge but it is definitely in my top 5. Well done

Great location very clean very friendly staff, service was pretty quick. The food had great taste the burgers were decent size not too huge but not tiny either. The restaurant hosts other events in its outdoor patio on the weekend like live bands. Overall we enjoyed the restaurant and enjoyed our food. Definitely recommend if your in the area or passing by like we were.

Knocking off a star from my previous review. Tempted to knock off two stars. Atmosphere- five stars all day Service - two stars (maybe that poor girl at the register was new?) Food - maybe three stars. Maybe. Outdoor picnic style dining is really great (when the weather is good). I'm guessing the girl taking orders at the register today was new and hadn't memorized the (short) menu yet. But then again it took two other people to get it right. I ordered "The Veggie," she rang up the "JJ Feel Good." When I corrected her and said I wanted The Veggie, she insisted that the JJ Feel Good was a veggie burger. No. It's a turkey burger. After calling over two other people, they finally got it right. When I asked for a roasted tomato, she had a complete blank look. I pointed it out on the menu, but she was clueless about what to do with that information. So, we weathered through and got our food. And not the stellar food you'd expect of such a popular place. Maybe I'm too picky. Okay, yes, I admit I am a tough customer to please. There just wasn't much good to talk about here. Fried pickles were lukewarm and tasted like they were fried in three-day old oil. The Veggie is a burger made with impossible beef. My first time trying that, so maybe it's normal for it to be an overcooked, dried out puck. Mmm...not a good look. And those roasted tomatoes? Yeah - don't waste an extra dollar there. Three tiny little shriveled up bits that added nothing to the flavor. And the side salad - really a bowl of iceberg lettuce that wasn't chopped well (nearly a wedge salad). My daughter had a Barbie burger (supposedly with pork belly preserves and poblano mayo). It pretty much just tasted like liquid smoke. One of these days, I'll be with someone who wants to eat here, and I'll go along. But I won't be choosing this for myself.

I've been to Curbside for burgers many times before and everything I've had has been excellent. I try different burgers each time I go, but my favorite is the Shroomin and Jammin burger....it's messy but so so good! If you are a mushroom fan, that should be the next burger you try. Today, we tried their brunch for the first time. I had the chicken biscuit- fried chicken, cheddar, and sausage gravy. My husband had the KG bisuit- breakfast sausage, cheddar, egg, and praline bacon. Everything was so good! I also had a side of tots which I customized with pepperjack fondue. It was a beautiful day out for brunch and we got there right before it got crowded. Will definitely come back!

Their outdoor patio area is so perfect for this lovely fall weather! It was such a beautiful day. On Sundays they have bottomless mimosas for $20 and check their insta for DJ popups! Abe Froman: breakfast sausage, cheese, fried egg, smashed tots on a biscuit. It was not for me. I found the biscuit to be extremely salty and the patty was burnt. Tots with pepper jack fondue 10/10 delicious!! CTC- BOOZIE SHAKE ALERT! Rum Chata, cinnamon toast crunch, and whipped cream... taste just like the cereal with tasty crunches. My favorite part of this brunch!

This is the second time in as many weeks that I've been over to Curbside and felt the counter service left a lot to be desired as compared to years past. I'd loved my order on the phone and was was told 15 minutes- 30 minutes later I got my food (after I watched it sit in the expo area). I got my burger and tots home and my container of tots was one large mashed up bunch of fried potato. No one at the counter seemed to be in a hurry to do much of anything other than talk to each other.

Out of town for business and stepped in here for lunch. All of our burgers were raw inside. Service was fast and very nice. Kind of expensive for the quality.
