Not my worse experience but definitely not my best , let me start by saying I had a really nice waitress , but what went wrong I order the unicorn burger which comes with lettuce tomatoes pickles unions and bacon. The first problem is they didn’t put any bacon on my burger also the burger was literally just a chuck of meat with the inside still raw. The wait failed to ask me if I wanted my burger well done but to bring a burger that was uncooked in the middle was disgusting. I literally took one bite from the burger but me being nice and not wanting to be that guy I waited till I asked for the check to see if the waitress would atleast offer me a different item on the menu or just a better cooked burger but at that point I didn’t want anything from there. The cooks didn’t have no gloves on and no hairnets one cook literally had dreads swinging but the food. Not to mention I asked for a lemonade and that literally tasted like my little sister made that in the back yard and was selling it , was pure water and lemon no sugar. The icing on the cake was went I told her about the burger all the waitress said is she didn’t charge me for the drink so that should make up for it. I also still tipped !

Google
Best underrated food on Robinson Street. Curbside has always had fantastic burgers and ribs and sides. I imagine it's very busy on the weekends and evenings at the bar. You can always find a seat at lunch time.

Google
Very casual, mom & pop shop with pretty good food if you're in the area looking for a quick bite!

Google
Best neighborhood joint around. I got the smoked chicken club and it was banging. May your hosts never know a rainy day ☺️

Google
Wish I could leave a -1 star. Quite literally the worst service I’ve ever experienced and we didn’t even order waters. The waitress was unbelievably rude when we asked a simple question. She threw the menus down, we asked if lunch was served as well as brunch, she said “nope” and stormed off. She was dismissive and demeaning. We got up and left right away. Never going back

Google
Food was spot on delicious! I had the Jamestown, which is a crab cake sandwich, and the person I was with had a cheeseburger. Both were perfectly seasoned and very filling. They definitely had some of the best fries I've had in a long time. I have to say service was slow, but that was because there was only one waiter who seemed very stressed. Hopefully, management is working hard on making sure they are properly staffed so their staff isn't overworked. We sat outside, and they have really well taken care of plants which is a nice touch.

Google
Server rushed through our order and forgot most of our food. Ordered 2 bbq sand and a french onion soup. Only got one of the sandwiches and no soup. When we asked another employee where the rest of our food was they said they would “check on it” aka it was never put in. My boyfriend’s food was good but he completely finished eating before I got anything at all. 30 mins later we complained and were told that we ordered everything separately and that they couldn’t do anything for us. Check slapped on the table no eye contact, no boxes, no refills etc. I get we were a young couple but it’s honestly so disgusting to treat people with such ignorance for your quick tip.

Google
Food wasn’t too bad. I ordered the crab cakes with mixed greens and not picture the broccoli cheddar soup (which was my favorite) Server was nice.

Yelp
Amazing is definitely the word to describe our dining experience at Curbside. The meatloaf special was excellent and the waitress was the best! Can't wait to go back to Curbside.

Yelp
We ordered the pierogies for an appetizer. They were okay. I ordered the chicken florentine soup and it was outstanding. I also got the chicken salad sandwich which was very good. My husband ordered the French onion soup which he did not care for but he enjoyed the fried fish sandwich. We would go back. It's a cute neighborhood place with friendly service.

Yelp
Best food in the fan by far! Cuban Rueben with the French onion soup and the chicken salad club

Yelp
A cute and cozy bar to watch the game. It was warm inside with Xmas lights, and they have a solid draft list including Optimal Wit, my fav beer from Port City. Service was shockingly fast esp considering the crowd when we went (it was game night so was packed).

Yelp
Once a great spot. I had an itch and stopped in for a burger and a beer. Got the beer, never had my order taken after waiting patiently for an additional 20min after grabbing my beer. Watched two other tables be seated, drinks ordered and the waitress even circled back for their food order. Total time spent, roughly 30min. I closed out at the bar. There is zero excuse for that. The place was not even at half capacity. Godspeed.

K M.

Yelp
Great food and amazing staff. Every time I go my order is taken quickly and food is always quick and hot

Yelp
This was a cute local place to eat! It is small, but has indoor and outdoor seating options. They have a lot of choices for drinks and food. It also is priced well in my opinion. Our food and drinks were good and served in a timely manner. The waitress was also very nice. They have TVs as well if you want to enjoy a sports game!

Yelp
We had a phenomenal experience at Curbside Cafe! CC is in an eclectic part of Richmond surrounded by many beautiful homes. The inside of the restaurant had a cool vibe and was comfortable. The bar seating area was cool, and they had some outdoor seating as well. Our food was fantastic! We got the Williamsburger and Petersburger which were both flavorful, fresh, and made exactly how we asked. Their draft beer selection was great, and their mixed drinks were worth the cost! The service was also great. Our server checked in on us once throughout the meal without interrupting our conversation. Our only complaint would be that the restaurant smelled a little funny. Overall 4.9/5 experience! If we didn't live so far away, Curbside Cafe would be a regular for us!

Yelp
First and foremost -- I just moved down the street from this establishment so I may be biased to the location in this regard. That being said...I went to Curbside just now, fighting for my life after an unexpected night of beverages, and they did not disappoint. The most graceful angel, Midge, appeared and asked what I needed. "S.O.S." I managed to croak out. No, not the SOS you're thinking of... their take on shit on a shingle. Lordt take me. I'm actually taking a break from it for to type this. And it comes with the most phenomenal hashbrown casserole I've ever had! Anyhoo I can actually rest in peace now. Thanks Curb!

Yelp
Horrible experience this evening - very slow service. Our waitress took our order and after inquiring about when our food would be ready 40 minutes after ordering, the manager said the order was put in 15 minutes ago. The waitress sat on our order for 25 minutes? I'm very disappointed. Never got our food. Won't be back.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times since moving to Richmond, and I really like it. I stopped one afternoon for an early lunch and had a tasty chicken salad sandwich and fries. It was a great portion size, and I liked sitting outside in their outdoor seating area. I also went here for a late night snack on Halloween with some friends. I had the quesadilla, and it was delicious, plus it was big enough that I could take it home and have it as leftovers the next day. I like the neighborhood feel of this place and I can tell that lots of locals go here.

Yelp
Curbside is a nice bar to catch a game. Plenty of screens so it's pretty comfortable to watch from any angle. The bar isn't huge but definitely doesn't feel cramped. Nice dive feeling if you want to catch up with friends or even get a little rowdy. The beers were cheap at $3 a pop for draft. And the food is...well bar food. Play it safe. I split some chicken tenders and fries and they were just fine. Again playing it safe is key here. I would maybe venture out to a burger but you're really here for the vibe and some grease to soak up your drinks. Enjoy.

Yelp
I loved this restaurant when it was John and Norman's so coming here brought back many fond memories! Curbside has been here for over 10 years and if I'm in the Fan, I love to sit on the patio, have a Rolling Rock and bask in the neighborhood scene. They've widened the outdoor seating area, and gave it a boost for spring with planters and lights. We ordered the quesadillas for our appetizer and it came out fast and fabulous. The dollop of sour cream and the ramekin of salsa were generous portions. Our server was delightful and accommodating, being personable but not overbearing. What a chill vibe here at Curbside! Kick your worries to the curb and pop on in!!

Yelp
I found it very enjoyable! It's a fun, no frills diner! They have a large variety of food which is great to see, & it makes it great for any friend or family group. I will say the biggest downside was their happy hour does not include any of their cocktails which was a bit of a bummer, but overall I would go back!
google avatar

Yelp
Great place in a beautiful, quaint neighborhood in the Fan. The outdoor patio is a great location with shade, fans, and great views of a beautiful corner in Richmond. The day I visited, it was 90 degrees outside, and therefore a little too hot to be eating outside, but the inside atmosphere is great, as well. My boyfriend and I shared the buffalo chicken nachos as an appetizer - which was absolutely HUGE. We both only took a few bites of our entrees before grabbing a box to take them home. We totally could have shared the nachos app as our whole meal. The sandwiches themselves were incredible - full of layered flavors and came out piping hot. My pick - the Jamestown, a crab cake sandwich with pickles, and more - was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, all inside a perfectly toasted Brioche bun. I definitely recommend this place, especially if you're looking for a cute little outdoor patio place (not too loud), but maybe not in the middle of summer.

Carla H.

Yelp
This is one of the few restaurants in Richmond that will add a fried egg to a BLT and it's delicious when paired with their many options of homemade soups. I've had a bad meal here not has the service been bad. Everyone is always quite friendly and accommodating.

Yelp
Taco Tuesdays are a must do here. $3 for 3 tacos, your choice of chicken or beer, along with lettuce, tomatoes (if you want) and cheese, and optional sour cream. The chicken is pretty well seasoned and honestly amazing for how cheap the tacos are - add that in with happy hour until 9 pm, and the deal is unbeatable in the area. Do yourself a favor and come here and treat yo self. Pros: Happy hour Service Ambiance - low key Tacos Cons: Tacos aren't the best tasting ever, but more than acceptable for $3

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food was great. my daughter said the season fries were some of the best she had ever tried. I loved my Mt. Rogers on toasted rye. Visiting from San Antonio Texas.

Yelp
We were driving through Richmond on a road trip and were looking for a place to eat that would serve food after 9:30/10pm. I called ahead and they said their kitchen closes at 11pm. When we got there at 10:28pm our server told us it actually closes at 10:30pm. No worries though she'd make sure our order got in. (I think she said that after 10:30pm they switch to a smaller menu?) Anyway, we got the Fredericksburger (Bacon and Blue Cheeseburger--blackened) and the pick two (1/2 chicken salad sandwich and side salad). We both thoroughly enjoyed our food and cleaned our plates. The burger was perfectly blackened with a great balance of blue cheese. And the toast on the chicken salad sandwich was . Drinks were great and the crowd was friendly. Highly recommend! If we lived in the area we would def wanna be regulars here and try more of the menu--their brunch options looked good!

Yelp
Okay so I went back to get my own unicorn burger and regardless of being so incredibly full, I had to keep going back for more and more bites. The bacon fused with the beef is SO different then just getting bacon slapped on top of your burger. Seriously you HAVE to try this thing. Officially addicted and I'll continue to dream about it until the next time I come back. My friend got the chicken salad sandwich and I really liked that too. It was super fresh and the chicken salad was cold. Delicious summer lunch!

Zipporah M.

Yelp
Excellent staff. Food was great. Not cheap but not expensive either. Most things range from $18-$40
google avatar

Yelp
The staff was friendly and service was quick (but not rushed) and the food was delicious! The smoked chicken club and french fries were great! Would definitely recommend

Yelp
Ahhh Curbside... where do I begin? Like a siren calling out in the middle of the night, I find myself drawn in to its bewitching song. However unlike an unknowing sailor, once I enter I am greeted by the familiar smell of chicken tendies and $5 dollar burgers on Wednesday nights. On my most recent visit, 8 of my closest companions piled into an open booth for a brief refreshment as we continued our journey down the hallowed streets of Robinson. As the blinding rays of a late afternoon summer sun flickered across our faces, we each enjoyed a cool BL Smoothie (Bud Light) filled to the brim. Attentive service and a cheep drink have become synonymous with the cafe, in my mind, and it is oft accompanied by a cheerful throng and a hearty meal. Curbside... you seductive temptress you. Until next time - Hank.

Yelp
Good bar food joint. Dark atmosphere. Friendly service. I don't drink but I hear the drinks are strong.

Yelp
Local spot in the fan! I've been here many times before and for NYE but never to eat, just drinks. I finally had the chance to eat here on a Sunday. I got the curbside burger with no cheese and fries. The fries came out hot and crispy and the burger was actually pretty good. The burger meat was flavorful with a lot of salt and pepper. A little salty for my taste but overall good. My friends got the wings that were really good also! They were huge jumbo wings, definitely worth the price. The servers were friendly and the atmosphere is very casual and laid back. The decor could use an update though and they have a few TVs. They also have an outdoor patio area where you can eat outside or to have a smoke. Overall, average priced American food restaurant!

Yelp
Friendly, relaxed place for a bite while visiting Richmond. Good bar food. Great staff.
google avatar

Yelp
I really only think to go here when I want to have a drink.. they don't have the biggest drink list but it's a nice atmosphere for it with a good sized patio! I have never actually been seated inside so I do not know if I will make it over there this winter as it had just become a summery patio staple for me. I have heard that there brunch is very good, almost had it once.. to be continured. All though I really havent had a meal here or more than two drinks I have had the nachos. And they are huge! Really really yummy too. Good app to share as me and one friend had them and couldn't finish them!
google avatar

Marissa A.

Yelp
Our Cheers! Cold beer, good prices, and tater tots you served with nacho cheese. Nothing more you want from a corner neighborhood bar!

Yelp
Should be 5 stars. A mistake before. Great place and I like it all the time. Pierogies are great.

Yelp
Picked up a delish Smoked Chicken Salad yesterday Nice and fresh, generous size and large dressing container. Happy

Yelp
Unfortunately the service on May 16 was not good at all!! The first person to talk to us after 10 minutes of waiting to get seated we were told that the table had to be cleaned off. There were four adults and 2 children. We asked for a high chair and never got that. We waited yet again so we helped ourselves to menus. They were not brunch menus, we had no idea there were 2 separate menus. So the next person to come to our table said "first of all those are not the right menus and threw the correct ones on the table. Never once asked what we wanted to drink. We looked at the menu and found nothing suitable to order off that menu. We then got up and left. We walked out the front door and she very sarcastically said "have a good rest of your day. Then proceeded to assist another patron but not before making an unacceptable comment about us. So unfortunately we will never go back because the wait staff is just too nasty. They did not appear to be understaffed and there weren't many people.

Kendra H.

Yelp
Wow the service here is incredible. Anna, the best server, provided me with a barstool when I was in need. I hope she gets a raise and a promotion. Broccoli cheddar? Fantastic. All bartenders are perfect too. 10/10 would recommend. #curbsidecrush

Erin M.

Yelp
The most rude staff I have ever encountered. Have never had such a bad experience in richmond:Do not recommend at all.
google avatar

Tanys K.

Yelp
Wow! We stopped inside just to get a quick bite after going to the museum nearby... the pierogis were life changing (grilled onions and tomato jam!) and the burger and Ruben were outstanding! I wish we lived closer so we could make this our regular place.
google avatar

Alison K.

Yelp
I can't believe I took so long to find them. DELICIOUS! I got the fish and chips and can't wait to go back for more. From the fries to the fish to the coleslaw, it was all delicious. My partner got a Reuben and completely devoured it. The menu itself is outstanding for a small bar/restaurant. We are already excited to return and try some different options. We went on a weekend night at they we're busy and full as it's fairly small inside. We sat at the bar and enjoyed some soft drinks while waiting for a table to open it. I really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. We enjoyed our casual date night.
google avatar

Allison C.

Yelp
The lady lied to my face and sat customers where she said that would be my table. Go to google reviews.
google avatar

John P.

Yelp
Love this place! I have been coming here at least once a week since January. And at no time have ever been disappointed. The bartenders are all courteous, punctual and pleasant. I have been through about half of the lunch menu and every item has been spot on delicious. Everything is fabulous! What is making me give a shout out today is that Curbside served me the best grilled chicken sandwich I have ever had in my 52 years of my life!! Serious! It WAS FABULOUS! Enjoy the outdoor seating. Bring the kids! Add the mustard! You won't be disappointed! And you will be back for more!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite local bars in Richmond. I used to live just one block away in the fan and my roommates and I would always come to curbside for a patio beer and to take advantage of the best happy hour in Richmond. Pros: - a truly local feel. Tight wooden booths with an unpretentious atmosphere. A great place to watch a football or basketball game. - the happy hour and specials are unreal. Hit up taco Tuesday for 3 for $3 tacos. They aren't the best tacos I've ever had, but they are pretty damn good for the value. - decent local draft list - COTU Ray ray's pale ale and DB selections - porch with year round Christmas lights strung up for a friendly neighborhood vibe - nearby walk to metro, boka, and main street fan bars Cons: - the food is serviceable bar food. A range of sandwiches and burgers etc are fine, but will not blow you away. - unsuspecting crowd and environment can be exactly what you're looking for on a low key night, but not the place to be seen Overall, a very loveable fan staple with decent eats and drink specials for a great time with friends or to watch a game.
google avatar

Kari O.

Yelp
Most chill bar in the fan! I cannot think of a better, more relaxing place to be. Especially when it is nice and warm outside and you can sit on the patio. Service is always friendly and doesn't take very long. Happy Hour specials are good and there are food specials every day of the week! Go there and catch a game, or have a nice easy breezy dinner with friends, or quick drinks after work! Great location, great food, great service, great atmosphere...just...GREAT!
google avatar

Allison B.

Yelp
Curbside is an easy, casual restaurant bar atmosphere. The food is consistently good, sometimes great. The service is friendly while not being outstanding. Yet, we always return! It's probably my favorite fan bar to just grab a beer and sit on the patio on a nice day and really feel like you're in the fan the way it always has been. It feels like a tradition to us now and we are lucky to have it in our neighborhood! Also, great weekday specials and affordable drinks!

Cindy D.

Yelp
Good! Definitely a neighborhood joint. Nothing upscale about it. Just a fun place to eat after a trip to the VMFA.
google avatar

John P.

Yelp
This place is perfect for a few beers real solid food and TVs for sports being back. Staff is really friendly. Buffalo sandwich would be my recommendation but they have different specials every day.
google avatar

Gabe C.

Yelp
The atmosphere of this place is awesome. I sincerely wish they didn't let people smoke outside though. I seriously tasted tobacco in my drinks and food. It was awful. The food was average. Nothing memorable except the cool location and the smoking of course. Now I know what you're going to say. "Well, just sit inside if the smoking bothers you." Right, I hear you, but the cool part about this place is that you CAN sit outside with your group of friends and catch up. I also don't remember any specials truly sticking out either. Would I return? Possibly, to give it another chance, but I won't be running back, that's for sure.
google avatar

Annie B.

Yelp
If you live nearby and it's a nice day or a Tuesday, you should definitely go to Curbside! The outdoor deck vibes are lovely and the staff is nothing but friendly. I love how casual it is! I've had the quesadillas and they were yummy and a huge portion for the price. I really wanted a Moscow Mule and they took them off of the menu but the waitress was kind enough to make one for me anyway! It was HUGE. :D For taco tuesday they do two dollar tacos which is a great deal and who doesn't love eating tacos on a porch? I can't name anyone.
google avatar

Jessica V.

Yelp
Ok. The Google reviews said this was THE spot for good burgers and great beer...a local hot spot. It was indeed a local joint, kind of divey. The burgers were pretty good, and reasonably priced. Now, the beer selection was a disappointment. Very few craft selections. Mostly is looked like people were drinking PBR, which was only $3, but still no thank you.
google avatar

Erica M.

Yelp
As soon as we told friends we were moving to Richmond we were told to immediately go to Curbside and by goly we were not disappointed. Who I AM disappointed in are my fellow yelpers. I got the buffalo nachos as my dinner because every one said they were AMAZING..... please do not get these nachos. But please DO get the pierogis!
google avatar

Paul H.

Yelp
Today was a perfect example why I am a sucker for dive bars. This little place served up some great food today! Richmond has an incredible array of dive hours that serve some of the best food I've had anywhere. Whether it is a high-end restaurant or an inexpensive one I always seem to find some of the best food I have ever eaten in the dive bars locally. To start I got their French onion soup. I'm not a French onion soup specialist by far so all I can say is it was delicious! The balance between the onion, the beef broth, and the cheese on top was great. For lunch I got the fried chicken sandwich with bacon, jalapeño cheddar cheese, and buffalo sauce. The buffalo sauce was very pungent and was a pleasure my nose. The sandwich was made from scratch, it was not frozen- to- fryer. It was hand breaded with a generous amount of bacon and jalapeño cheddar cheese. It's was great, and served with tater tot's that I could not eat all of. There was only one aspect I did not like. The blue cheese dressing that came with my meal was out of a bottle versus being from scratch. It appeared from looking around that all of the dressings were from a bottle versus scratch. I must say that that is a very mild complaint for what I got today. Good job Curbside! I will be back!

Russia R.

Yelp
Fantastic food and service. 10/10 would recommend. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Food arrived not too long after we'd been seated and ordered. Beware or their brunch drinks because they're delicious and will sneak up on you!
google avatar

Jon L.

Yelp
The absolute favorite for my girl and I to head to. (We also live a block away). But the burgers are awesome for the price and the service is amazing (we've had bad servers here but they never last long) they do get busy sometimes but waiting has never been a problem and the servers will keep order and not anyone jump you in line. Plus they always remember our orders and names!
