"You might recognize this bar as that place next to Rock Box, the rowdy karaoke spot where you can openly laugh at the people butchering “Aaron’s Party (Come Get It) in the front window.” While its neighbor is a glorified fraternity party, Cure is a calm cocktail spot with maybe only a dozen seats inside, and it’s a cozy spot to start or end a night out. Drinks range from classic palomas and gin rickeys to mint martinis and flutes of rose with cotton candy on top. Also, a big charcuterie board is a must. photo credit: Nate Watters" - Aimee Rizzo

I made myself a reservation because you never know, even though I was a solo diner. It did fill up rather quickly. I’ve heard this was the best restaurant in town, and once I saw the offerings, I knew I had to try it. I was able to order off menu for my cocktail, which was impressive given the waiter knew what I had asked for without having to explain it. Both the food and drinks were heavenly, melt in your mouth kind of sensatiable. Bonus points for the staff having Shout wipes available after I made a spill on my dress, and all I had asked for was some club soda. This *is* the best place in town, no notes!

Very good food and an attentive wait staff. The atmosphere is kind of old stagecoach stop, steam punk vibe. It's not very large, but it's worthorth the trip. We had reservations but may have been able to sit at the bar.

Cure has the perfect vibe, whether it be a cozy date for couples or a celebration for a bigger group. Moules-frites and coq a vin are my go-to dishes there. Drinks can't go wrong - try Like a Shark and Velvet Collar!

My favorite restaurant in Rochester! Service is on point and food is top quality! The Beef Bourguignon and Coq Chasseur especially blew me away. Don’t skip on the salad or the green peas! And best cocktails I’ve ever had! They are all great, but the Scotch Louie has changed my perception on cocktails! Complex, balanced and accessible.

Bread! We love bread 😁 delicious food, great service and a relaxing atmosphere! We came to Rochester for the Strong Museum of Play for the kids. The adults need a break too. This was the perfect spot for dinner! Can't wait to come back!

Google
So Cure has been on my list for so long and I decided to make reservations for mother's Day. I took my wife, daughter and her parents out for brunch. Today was also the markets first flower day of the year so it was a great combo. It's pretty small inside and definitely cozy. Not a lot of tables but it works. The staff were super friendly and the everything from the lemonade to the food was pretty good. Not outstanding, not OMG we have to come back. But pretty good. Unfortunately, it's not all pretty good. We waited 45 minutes for our brunch! For 2 burgers, a French toast and 1 Benedict seems like way too long. Next up was the descriptions and what we got... Dijion mayo, I'm sorry aoili, is listed as an ingredient on the Royale with cheese it should be first. In Bold. And CAPITALIZED. lol. Next up the "creme brulee" French toast should just read French toast without syrup. There is no sugar crusted custard here. There was some custard inside, maybe? And some of it had been blown torched but not well. Last up the price. I don't mind paying well for good food and service, mostly I'm there for the good food and the food was ok but definitely not good. Maybe MAYBE 7 out of ten? For $100? Not acceptable. So the recap? Stuff anyone can cook like french toast and burgers, a 45 minute wait, overpriced for what they serve. Oh yeah none of the food was hot either. I mean it was not refrigerated but you'd expect if they had almost an hour they wouldn't least get it out hot lol. Maybe dinner IS great and just brunch sucks?

Food was very fresh. Great options to select from. Atmosphere was very cozy.

Google
A quaint little cafe with very good wine list - not a long one, but has solid quality wine - including classic French wine! Food is more like real French Cafe food - rich with butter, not a huge serving (+), and very tasty! It did quietly at the Public Market lot. I'll definitely go there, again, for casual lunch, coffee, and meeting. People were very attentive and nice.

Yelp
Great service. Friendly staff. Food consistent and very good. Changing menu that always has seasonal offerings. Clean and nicely decorated. Sort of a view of the lake, but not really. They need a roof deck!

Jen R.

Yelp
A small intimate restaurant. Staff is friendly and warm. They have a lovely cocktail program and a compact wine selection. A few things.. the food is good, not great. Sorry not sorry. The Charcuterie is worth getting and ask for extra bread. I believe it's from Flour City. Mussels and Frites are tasty but I wished the sauce/liquor had a little more flavor. Fries are good but I find them to be a little too dark for my liking as if they were fried hard. The Steak Frites like the mussels they should be shared, it's a lot to eat on your own. It was tasty but the sauce or was it compound butter was a bit of a salt bomb. We got for dessert the chocolate mousse last time it was really good. The presentation was lazy it was in a juice glass. The mouse was not firm it was as if it had been sitting out for a while. The idea of adding the salted caramel although fun made it dare I say runny?! We brought a bottle of our own and the corkage fee was $20 and rather affordable. All in all as long as my friend was happy it was her birthday and her pick. When I made a reservation and let them know it was for a birthday. No acknowledgement of it.. I get it sometimes things get lost in the shuffle but this was for a friend and her first visit. All I can say for an update it was good not great. It's in the public market area and plenty of parking.

Yelp
Cure is always a lovely dining and cocktail experience. We headed over for some late night eats with fried anchovies and the AHF beef tartare. The anchovies could have been a bit crispier, but they were tasty, and the tartare was lovely on some fantastic bread. The cocktails are the highlight of this place. We got the flash bang, velvet collar, boom vang, and lincoln. All were amazing, spirit forward, and a fun cocktail experience.

Yaumaris A.

Yelp
This is an amazing restaurant. We went there for lunch and order 4 diferent dishes to try and EVERYTHING tasted delicious, fresh and perfectly cooked. We had the avocado toast, chickpea crepe, bagel lox and the royale with cheese. Also tried their community coffee and loved it!!. The environment is cozy, a little loud but fun. The service was outstanding, the staff was friendly except our waiter brought the check to us without asking if we were ready for it (we weren't, i wanted another drink). Also there was no dessert menu and that's why the lost one star.

Hannah R.

Yelp
Our favorite place in the city. Never had a bad dinner here and the interior is so cozy and comfy but still elevated. 10/10 every time--and don't sleep on the house pickles or the homemade fizzy drinks

Joe M.

Yelp
Date night Atmosphere is great, intimate without being stuffy or snooty. Servise was prompt, kind, and very helpful. We got house pickles and the grilled bread, a great combo. The pickles are a must. Then we had the duck crepes and the pumpkin salad, both so delicious. The sauce on the crepes was one of those ones you want to bathe in. Drinks were great too, and their cocktail menu is large and interesting. I'm sorry it took us so long to get here, but so glad we did. Add it to a growing list of great rochester date spots.

Yelp
Third try is a disaster! Cure has gone downhill since we first went a year ago. Went for Sunday brunch yesterday and will not be going back. The place looks and feels as if it needs a good deep cleaning, I understand the feel they are going for, but it's now dingy. The server was so annoying, trying to be all cutesy with phrases and baby talking, not appropriate at all. Bloody Mary's have no garnish except a bad green olive, and $14 a pop. Come on..... you can do better. Ordered the burger, literally that is all you get, the burger on a tiny square plate. It would cost them next to nothing to toss a simple green salad on the plate. Husband order blue crab Benedict, it mentions a mixed green salad, but it was literally 3 pieces of greens under the Benedict. Overpriced, has gone downhill and the most annoying server I have ever had. We will not be going back again.

Jo-Ellen G.

Yelp
Food was amazing first and foremost. The cocktails were pretty great too! Our server was super attentive. The one thing was that I felt like I was eating in a closet. It's a small place (which is fine) but it was SO dark! That's the only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I really did like it and I'll go back for sure.

Suzie S.

Yelp
Had a wonderful Sunday brunch yesterday. We had a 1:30 reservation but after shopping at the flea market we were ready 2 hrs earlier r. I asked if they could accommodate us and the very friendly hostess said we could either sit at the bar or at a high top in the back of the dining room. We chose the high top. Our waiter Alex was awesome. Happy and smiling. Loved him. Food was awesome. We ordered the soft scrambled eggs. Soo perfect. Vanilla pan Perdue. Rave reviews. And the Nutella and ricotta crepes. To die for. The whole meal was delicious and the ambience was perfect. We will definitely be back!! Thank you Alex and the hostess whose name we didn't get for accommodating us!!!

Yelp
Brunch at Cure is exceptional, perhaps the best of the many places we've been in Rochester over the years. Service is top-notch. Ambiance and attention to detail are stellar. Cure is just such a charming, special place. I really recommend reservations on Sundays. I am thankful we had them, as the restaurant filled up quickly and we were the first diners to arrive today. I had the lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberry syrup and they were among the best I have ever had anywhere in my 47 years. They were outstanding - fresh, fluffy & oh so flavorful. My husband had the Boudin Benedict with a side of potatoes and he devoured it all. My one minor complaint? My coffee was served in a paper cup. I am not going to knock a star off because of it, but I would much prefer a mug.

Adham H.

Yelp
Nice intimate place for dinner or brunch. The quality of food is not bad. However, it's too pricey and the portion is small for the price. The place doesn't look very clean. The bathroom is right there by the kitchen and it's not very appealing. Friendly staff that answered all our questions.

Lia D.

Yelp
My first time at brunch here. The Bloody Mary was pretty good, but no bells and whistles for a pretty penny. My entree also left something to be desired. The kataifi was kind of salty and there just wasn't much to it.

Hannah L.

Yelp
The absolute best dinner experience I've had in a very long time. Cure has been on my radar for years now, and since I was in Rochester visiting a friend, I suggested we stop in for dinner. We made reservations for 5:30 but were able to get seated even earlier which was fantastic. Our server was super kind and helpful in explaining how Cure functions: plates come out as they're ready and sharing is heavily encouraged. We started with their assortment of pickles and their baked Brie with potatoes. The pickles were fantastic, particularly the cauliflower. I enjoyed the Brie as well; it was delicious on top of the potatoes and the onion jam perfected the flavor. For my main, I opted for their famous banh mi. I am still blown away by how delicious it was. Everything in the sandwich was proportioned perfectly and it all sat between two thick slices of bread. My friend got the fettuccine with squash and loved it. I stole a bite and I have to say, the pasta was so fresh and delicious. I highly recommend you stop in if you're in the area. Cure does dinner right and I'm so happy I had the chance to stop in.

Yelp
Cure is more evidence that even in smaller cities, there's great food everywhere. Cure is also helping make the case that dining out is a real extravagance. Came in for lunch last week and almost everything I tried was great. The cocktails, in particular, were fantastic; between the Blinker, Like a Shark, and the classic Gin & Tonic, I left very satisfied with the drinks. Food and service were also strong. The beef tartare, the brandade (although, as usual at restaurants, these were served with not nearly enough bread!!), and the fried gnocchi were all great and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the creme brulee dessert. (The chocolates sampler was good too, just not a surprise.) I was expecting prices to be a little lower than what I see regularly in Chicago, but that was not the case. COVID, staffing, supply chain, you name it...prices are going up. $49 for a steak frites order (easily the highest I have seen in any city I've visited this year; I've bought steaks at other high-end places for just above that, but Cure does serve a 16-oz. steak with their version) is ridiculous...or, it's the new normal. Prices are a ding for me right now, and it's making me rethink how often I can afford to eat out in 2022. Otherwise, a great experience. I'll be back for future visits when I come to town!

Yelp
We LOVED this place and can't wait to return. Came here for my birthday brunch, and everything was perfection. From the minute you walk in, you feel like you are in some French cafe or something- it's so cute! The servers are all really nice, and them seem super organized in process for getting you in and taken care of. Now for the drinks/food! I went with the Pét Nat rosé and liked it so much that I had 3 glasses! For my meal I went all out and got the Royale with Cheese which was out of this world!! The flavors meshed so perfectly- over easy egg/Gruyère/camembert (drool)/ and Dijon aioli...just send me off to Heaven happy. My friends got the eggs in a basket, the boudin Benedict, and the lemon ricotta pancakes. We were happy campers!! I can't wait to return.

Olivia B.

Yelp
We enjoyed our time here. We made reservations in advance and were seated immediately. All staff was wearing masks, hand sanitizer was available at the front, and they have a plastic shield at the host stand. They have a varied menu so there are lots of options. Our waitress was nice, and though there was a lit bit of a wait for the food, it was worth the wait! We both enjoyed our meals. I got the fettuccini with mushrooms, and my boyfriend got the special for the night, the pork belly. I would definitely recommend coming here if you want to enjoy a nice dinner or a date night.

Claudette E.

Yelp
Food meats are cooked on the same grill as not meat items. So those meatless items are contaminated. With meat tastes.

Jen J.

Yelp
I'm a traveling nurse and have been in Rochester for 26 weeks. We found this little place by luck and keep coming back for the homemade hot dog on Sunday night after work. I have to say this is the coolest little place! I don't like gin and tonic but they have the coolest carbonated gin and tonic and I order 2 every time! Shout out to Dan, the bartender. He is so knowledgeable in his field and is a really cool guy! Him and the hot dog are why I keep coming back! I've tried everything on the menu other than the pasta and all of it has always been amazing!

Yelp
Romance is in the air! Came here for dinner, and it was easily one of the most romantic settings I've ever been to. Tucked away on the far side of the public market, Cure is home to "locally sourced French-farm cuisine." Its outside walls are covered with some of the beautiful murals that give Rochester so much character. FOOD: Foie gras-bone marrow toast 5/5: The perfect consistency of light, buttery, and creaminess. Generously spread on top of freshly baked bread. The contrasting textures tasted as satisfying as it pleased aesthetically. Spaghetti provencal 4/5: Came with tomato, olives, and anchovy. Such a simple but lovely dish. The tomatoes provided a subtle acidity that balanced the strong flavors from the olives and anchovies. Roasted zucchini 3/5: Decent, but the portion was much smaller than expected. The combination of sausage with feta and mint tasted unique and delicious. However, the tomato sauce was lackluster and didn't do much to elevate the dish. The cutest place for a date night or nice dinner with friends. Beware of the bees if you're sitting outside!

Rachel S.

Yelp
This is the cutest little spot! We've frequented Cure a few times over the years and just revisited. Ambiance is second to none. With it being nestled away in Rochesters public market, it feels like you could be in a cozy nook in a little French village. Oui oui! We had Mike as a server who was excellent. Very well versed in cuisine and what's best on Cures menu. We ordered a tequila cocktail and their martini which both came in cute little glasses and were tasty. Mike helped us pick out a few small plates; asparagus salad, roasted Brie, artichokes, and beef tartar. I would give all dishes 4 stars with the artichokes getting a 2 as it could use more seasoning. The Brie is always a crowd pleaser, although seemed small this go round. And the beef tartar was very tasty. Cure is a place to bring someone with a more developed palate, or who will literally try anything as they have an adventurous menu. I ended the evening with a Fizzy Negroni and their Creme Brûlée desert. I would come back every night for just these two items. Worth every penny!

Yelp
Great service first and foremost. I barley remember the food, thankfully I took some pictures. Anyways...mid

Paige B.

Yelp
This place always hits. It never misses!! You gotta go for Sunday brunch and try the bloody Mary, it's the best one in Rochester. This place also has really chill, flexible, and friendly staff. You'll leave feeling super satisfied every time! Check em out.

Amanda M.

Yelp
Some of the best food I've had in a long time! The menu was super unique, and everything we ordered was delicious. I loved the roasted garlic and beef tartare to start us off and the cocktails are hand crafted and fun! The wait staff was super kind and really knowledgeable about the food and experience they were serving. The location is interesting and the decor is really fun, but the lack of AC is a real bummer, especially on a really hot day. The muscles were the highlight of the meal for me, perfectly prepared. Definitely recommend

Henry P.

Yelp
Cocktails were well crafted with good taste; they are on the sweeter side, so buyer beware. The the cheese plate was lovely, but could have done with a bit more bread. Roasted garlic had nice taste, but the toasted bread was not in fact warm. I realize warm toast is difficult though, so I give them a pass. The squash had was almost too rich, but with solid flavor and could have done with a little more salt. The bahn mi was fantastic, would get it again. The Halibut was nicely prepared but sat on a bed of beats that could have done with a bit more flavor, vinegar & herbs maybe? All in all, I would go again, but not tomorrow.

Aar B.

Yelp
This place is a Rochester gem. And easily best Banh Mi in town with perfectly airy baguette. An explosion of flavors in the mouth!

Megan C.

Yelp
Finally FINALLY made my way into Cure after having *meant* to go there for...years? Seriously! Never a cocktail, never a snack, never a stepped foot into Cure until this past weekend, when I finally got to experience the glory that is this cozy French spot. Our service, cocktails, and food were all absolutely top notch, and they style of the restaurant made me feel as though I was transported far, far away. We started with cocktails! I ordered a tequila-based cocktail with rosemary and grapefruit, and it was outstanding. Well balanced and the burnt rosemary made the whole cocktail really come to life in my NOSE before I even took a sip. We moved onto to the plateau de fromage and both really appreciated the time our server took to dig in and let us know where each cheese was sourced from and what we were getting ourselves into. I was obsessed with the mushroom brie paired with the fruit compote the plate is served with. Would not recommend skipping this! We then moved on to charcuterie - which included prosciutto, speck, salame, and some really lovely pickled veggies - among other things. Paired with flour city bread, both of our boards made for a most ideal picky late-night dinner, and I can't wait to get back and sample out more of the menu (hello BRUNCH!) ASAP.

Hal M.

Yelp
Wow. Wonderful food. Service was gracious, patient, attentive. Fun house cocktail menu.

Gabriel S.

Yelp
I want the management/owner to be aware of this: I have been patronizing Cure since the Fall of 2021. Donnie is great and the coolest bartender I've ever met. The food and drinks are also really tasty and the ambiance is romantic and warm. However, the dining service needs work... I had dinner with 5 friends around around New Years recently (photo attached). Altogether, we spent roughly $80 per head. Everything was good expect for the fact that the wait staff rushed us. I was last to get me entrée and with half still remaining on my plate, only 45 minutes after sitting down, the staff proceeded to collect empty plates from all four of my friends. I was left with my meal, still eating, as all plates were collected around me. This made me feel rushed to finish which is not cool especially considering the menu prices / money spent, the relatively short time at the table and the fact that people were still drinking and I was still eating... I think culturally, the younger generations does not care about this but prematurely collecting plates & flipping tables is objectively a flaw in dining service and will loose you some customers.

Kelsey P.

Yelp
Absolutely love Cure for their delicious food, unique drinks, and cozy atmosphere. They have a unique cocktail menu divided into three main themes: shaken, still, and carbonated. They put a spin on some classic drinks, and it's a fun way to try something new--I really enjoyed the No Zoo, Dude. Our server said that their menu and service has changed since the beginning of the pandemic, so we opted for choosing a few dishes to share amongst the table to maximize what we could try. I recommend any of the dishes that come with bread, as they grill it and top it with big, flaky salt, making it the perfect vessel to sop up sauces from the dishes. The stars of our meal was the mussels (Moules Frites) and Crispy Half Chicken. The mussels arrived piled on a large dish and accompanied by the crispiest fries on top, making a pretty perfect pairing. If you had to choose one entree though, I'd absolutely go for the chicken. I don't know how they pulled it off, but it's so crispy and caramelized on the outside, but the interior is perfectly cooked at juicy. It's too good of a dish to pass up! We chose to sit outside because the weather was so nice, but I've also sat inside and it's been just as pleasant. It's tucked away in the public market so there isn't too much traffic in the evenings, making it a romantic spot for a date night. Overall, the food is fantastic and they have a unique cocktail menu that's worth checking out--I definitely recommend it for any nice dinner!

Alana A.

Yelp
It's been months since we visited Cure and my boyfriend & I are still raving about our experience. We're suckers for dimly lit restaurants/bars coupled with unique dishes! So this is THE spot for both. Our server was attentive & kind. He suggested some wonderful dishes & was very complimentary of the ones that we were eager to try. This place is completely off the beaten path, located in the back of the Public Market. You won't "stumble upon" it, but when I tell you it's worth the find, I mean it.

Brianna J.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible meal and ambience in this restaurant, would highly recommend. The steak was very good

M. C.

Yelp
Thursday evening, we went out to early dinner, 5:30. We had reservations but I am not sure it was necessary that early. Most of the tables around us were empty. The waitress was friendly and efficient. Cure has a nice cocktail menu, I ordered a Negroni. Never had one but I read about it in a book. Delicious. A great summertime, high time drink. We shared our dinner order. We started with Beef Tartar. Overall, it was good. It came with an egg on top, a spoon of mustard, some toast and capers on the side. I think I would have liked the capers in the meat with some Worcestershire sauce and double ground the beef. On the other hand, if I return, I will order it again. The Coq au Vin was made in heaven. The chicken was perfectly braised with a crispy skin. I wanted to swim in the pan gravy but settled for dipping bread into it. Great dinner. We both enjoyed it.

CJ P.

Yelp
I forgot the name of all this food so bare with me lol. The server, whose name she asked me not to mention, she did a really great job, checking on us, creating great conversation, and making sure I and my guests felt very welcomed and comfortable. The food options at first were looking kinda iffy but after ordering the first appetizer, the food was tasting good so the group I was with, we ended up getting some dip and bread, that chicken dish, and the steak and fries, which all was very very good. We then had this sausage with jelly which looked iffy and wasn't good to me and I wouldn't get that again because...yeah it's a no for me dawg lol. The liquor was good but strong so be careful. Overall experience 8.5/10, will be back again.

Carol T.

Yelp
Always a favorite place for me when I come to visit! We had reservations for Mother's Day at 2:30pm. The food was delicious for brunch and the wait staff was good. I always like hot fresh black coffee and they were featuring Java! Sadly it came lukewarm in a paper cup. I asked for a coffee cup and was told there weren't enough although I didn't see anyone else drinking coffee. It was a mimosa day! The chef outdid himself this time but I think after having been here several times I'll be trying something new elsewhere.

Weijia L.

Yelp
Had a rather late (1:30 pm-isj) Sunday brunch on a snow-y-ish spring day. They ran out of the burger Royale with Cheese so I ordered Croque Madam like my friend. It is a different approach than the usual presentation of this sandwich: ham and cheese between hearty crusty bread slices with an over easy egg on top, sitting in a bed of tomato soup (the kind that is tangy and has no sugar). So yes the bottom bread piece got soggy in some parts but this gave some contrast in the texture and the execution was on point. We also had the Community Coffee, a cocktail featuring espresso, rye whisky, crema de cacao and something else (I forgot). It came in a flat coupe glass and was served cold. FYI it was not very warm inside, which was Okay for me.

Aleena M.

Yelp
Tried out this place for the first time on Sunday. We had the option of either sitting at the bar or outside so we chose outside. Not a wise decision. Burned our ass as we sat and ate our meal. Our phones definitely shut off because of the heat. The menu option for the brunch was not a lot. The prices were decent. The coffee size was TINY, almost shot size cup, and it was just plain coffee for $3. I may come back and try their other food.

Patricia B.

Yelp
Great place for lunch and coffee. Love the area and always enjoy when the seasons are changing

Nicole Z.

Yelp
A lovely Sunday evening experienced here. Walked in to an eclectic space, where the servers had honest, extremely knowledgeable feedback and advice on what they had. We enjoyed every. single. thing. The yayguhbaums was surprisingly delicious and not your typical 21 year old jagermeister experience. We ordered 4 plates to share (as sharing is the recommended style). Charcuterie, crispy chicken, mussels & blue oyster mushroom pasta...yum! We then took the bean cassoulet that was left over from the chicken dish, mixed it with the sauce left over from the mussels and scooped it on the the Flour City bread. WOW!!! This could be a new dish in and of itself. And the chocolate mousse at the end was exactly like our server said, insane!!!! Five stars all the way around!

Nish N.

Yelp
Just like heaven. Easily one of the best meals I have had in Rochester. Great cocktails, everything on the menu was shareable, and since it was Sunday, they had a hotdog and shot special that added to the festivities. Big up to the staff who clearly were happy to be there.

Fallon J.

Yelp
A cute spot I stopped at for brunch. Plates are smaller than usually fare but the taste is amazing and you can tell they put a lot of effort into their menu. The cocktails were super tasty, extra stars for not watering down the drinks or putting in more juice than alcohol! Definitely plan to stop back in soon!

Rick K.

Yelp
Run, don't walk to Cure! Innovative and delicious. We started with an order of the house rillettes with on local bread and stone ground mustard and an order of the roasted garlic, served with butter and an olive paste, again with local bread. The portions were generous, so for two people we didn't need to do both, but each was absolutely delicious. We then had "moules frites" (mussels and French fries) and the surprise of Sunday nights is a hot dog...but not just any hot dog! This Sunday it was a house-made beef hot dog with chicken liver pâté and sweet and sour rabbit! Yup, rabbit. The combo was surprisingly amazing. For desert we had French toast with blueberry sauce, whipped cream and a few nuts on top. Actually nice and light. Cocktails were delicious with nice wine choices as well. To top it all off we sat outside on a beautiful night and our server was a ton of fun. Definitely put Cure on your Rochester dining list!

Shintaro K.

Yelp
Really great place for brunch. Our waitress was awesome as well- really sweet and attentive. Our party of 4 felt welcomed and great. The ambiance at Cure was nice too. I tried making a reservation for 11am but could only get a 12pm slot. However, when the 11am slot opened up, the nice people at Cure called me back informing me that my ideal reservation time opened up. They are very friendly and considerate at Cure, I highly recommend.

Marissa N.

Yelp
Brunch was seriously disappointing, ordered the croque madame over tomato soup. There was a noticable lack of cheese, ham and bechemel sauce. It could have been lovely and was so disappointing.

Rose V.

Yelp
I know I'm going get shit for this but I'm giving Cure 3 stars. I called ahead for reservations since it was Mother's Day. I'm glad I did because people stopped in for brunch but the restaurant was fully booked. The restaurant is small. The doors were open to let the sun shine in. The staff was wonderful and great. I ordered an espresso and it was cold. I ordered the boudin bendict, I was disappointed that my egg was totally cooked and not runny at all. It was lacking something but I couldn't figure out what. My fiancé said the dish was bland. My fiancé ordered the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy were good, nothing amazing. I got the petit dejeuner to go. It was just raisin bread with a side of Nutella and butter. I wasn't wowed by anything here or maybe because everyone had hyped it up too much for me. Our bill was $45 for 2 people for Sunday brunch, quite pricey. Maybe I'll give Cure another try, perhaps for dinner. There is parking outside of the restaurant. Just give yourself a little extra time when the public market is open.

Yelp
This is a review for the Virtual Cocktail parties you can schedule with Donny & Cure during the pandemic. In a few words: SO MUCH FUN! We were super lucky to be invited to attend one of these -- our friend celebrated his birthday this way, and we were some of the lucky invitees. What you get for the party: a bag filled with all of the ingredients to make THREE cocktails -- for our party this included Whiskey Sour made with Cure's homemade sour mix; an Old Fashioned made with Cure's homemade peach bitters made by using a centrifuge(!!!); and a Gin & Tonic which involved more science than I could take in but is far and away one of the best G&Ts I've *ever* had -- so effervescent & delicious and a party in your mouth, I promise. Spending 40 minutes on a Zoom call with Donny was super fun -- he is SO into his craft and his enthusiasm is hugely contagious. To say we have new appreciation for the cocktails at Cure and Good Luck is a vast understatement. Highly, highly, highly recommend booking this kind of event with Donny & Cure -- a unique and fabulously creative memory from very strange pandemic times. Hats off to Cure for coming up with this!

Yelp
We had such a great time at Cute tonight. A group of friends that gathers for BYOB wine and dine. The food was great. Appetizers and entrees. Warm Camembert and fingerling potatoes, fresh cured ham sliced prosciutto style and an assortment of other goodies from shellfish to SE Asian dishes. We had great service from a new server and of course brought in our own wine. What a great time. The best part was dessert as we mulled choices of Cognac, Armagnac and then we discussed Bourbon. They had Pappy Van Winkle in stock, both 15 and 20 year Old Reserve. We figured like any place that actually has this pink unicorn, it would be insanely marked up. Shockingly it was not. We all had a round of the 20 year old Reserve and the staff was great. The Pappy was impressively smooth and a once in a lifetime experience. Update. We had a group scheduled to meet at Cure tomorrow, Wednesday, which is Cure's BYOB night. Yet despite having held 2 very wonderful sessions here, the organizer was told that they had changed their BYOB policy to only include groups of under 4 persons. Now both times we went, we all had drinks from the ar before dinner, enjoyed multiple appetizers, full entrees, salads or soup and dessert. Each time, one of us bought a round of Pappy Bourbon at $25/ounce. I guess live and learn. You would think management would treat you as good guests when you spend a lot of money at their bar and their kitchen as well as tipping above the 18% the charge for groups. No worries as the dining choices in Rochester have bloomed and there are quite a few choices these days, regardless of whether corkage is waived. If you spend the money, you should never be turned away when in a group, where people come back in smaller groups throughout the year. To say I am disappointed in the management's decision would be an understatement. I usually don't post negative reviews, but when treated poorly, I have to make an exception. Winter is coming. I hope Cure can stay open on Wednesday's as we won't be coming back.

Yelp
Yum! Great atmosphere, great service, great food and food prepared quickly. Enjoyed brunch with friends on a Sunday afternoon while in town. Nice little patio in front, and the doors opened into the restaurant, no air conditioning though. We all enjoyed mimosa's and one person got the Pimm's cup cocktail which was very yummy! Two of us enjoyed the kale cauliflower fritter which was topped with yummy roasted veggies and an egg. Very good and unique. Our other friend ordered the Andouille Benedict which he enjoyed. Great place. Only thing that was tough was seeing the sign when I got there, not very obvious and being from out of town and not knowing the public market made it harder. The public market looked like it would be a cool place to check out, but it was not going on on a Sunday.

Yelp
I have friends who swear by this place and are literally there every weekend, chatting to the bartenders behind the bar. So I've been here a few times by now and have tried a pretty wide smattering of the drinks and food that they have to offer. Their food is very good, but their options are rather limited and prices are on the higher side. If you're not planning to order a sausage, most other entrees on the menu are $30+. I've had their scallops, which were excellent. They also have this one melted cheese dish that is killer and highly recommended! Their drinks are good, and they do this fun thing where they give you a card and you can circle things that you like in a drink and a celebrity for inspiration. They will then use this to make you a drink. E.g.,I circled David Hasselhoff one time, along with gin, and ended up with a fizzy negroni. These are fun, but I'm not sure it's worth the price tbh... It's somewhat hit or miss, and I definitely think that their cocktail menu drinks are better.

Yelp
Amazing place. The ambiance and service were superb. We had a table for 4 and made a reservation for 8 the restaurant was still busy but did not have to wait. It started to empty out and got a bar crowd around 9:30/ 10 We ordered two orders of the sausages (lamb and pork garlic) and they were huge, 2 links each! We ordered the mussels which were nothing special and the steak, Korean fried chicken, and branzino. I wish the waitress said this was a sharing restaurant as the portions were huge! The Branzino was cooked to perfection! Buttery, soft and flaky it was delicious. I did not eat the Korean Fried Chicken but I was told the skin was perfectly crispy and the sauce was spicy. We also had the Steak Frites, the steak was perfect and the fries were average. Overall a great restaurant with an amazing cocktail vibe (I got the shark bite!). I hope they expand the menu and I will be back!

Yelp
Excellent!! We are from Buffalo and both agreed it's worth the trip. My husband got the blood orange soda from Italy and whatever you do, do not sleep on it!! It was so so good. I asked if the bar could make me any kind of mocktail on the sweeter side and they happily obliged and I got something that tasted like the most fresh limey mojito I've ever had. I wish it was actually on the menu because it was amazing, kudos to the bartender. Also to our server because he was the kindest young man! We loved how genuine he was and that he made real conversation with us, we found out he went to the same college as us (UB) so it was cool to have that in common. Anyway to the food, the place leans french but also has some Korean and Vietnamese inspired food. Made me remember that France at one time occupied and heavily influenced Vietnam/ Indochina. We shared the tartiflette (potato gratin), mussels in a wine cream sauce with fries, the salt roasted beet, pear, and blue cheese salad, and a the spaghetti Alsace with pancetta, parm and breadcrumbs. Everything was delicious but our top fav was the mussels, not a single one missing and the sauce was great. The fries help but we both wish we had a bit of baguette to soak up the sauce. The tartiflette was a delicious heavy, creamy potato gratin almost reminiscent of a thick cream of potato soup, it was great. The beet dish was very good but our personal take was that the cheese was salty enough so the rest ofbthe dish didn't need extra salt, but that's only us knit picking, it was very good and broke up the richness of the other dishes. The spaghetti Alsace reminded me of a cacio e Pepe with breadcrumbs and pancetta. It was tasty but I personally like thicker sauces on pasta. The vibe of this place is also really cool, modern, a little edgy but still classy. Love the old pharmacy cures in the bathroom. Thanks for an awesome night Cure!!.
