Cured & Crafted | Artisan Sandwiches

If you're craving a sandwich, look no further. They are relatively new but surely not to be underestimated. Diavolo Italiano is a great modern take on an Italian classic: layers of crispy cured meats, peppers, melted fontinella, and smoky chipotle mayo on a ciabatta. The flavors were delicately balanced: rich and meaty yet never felt too heavy thanks to the heat and brightness of the peppers. Old Bay fries were fried to golden crispy perfection in tallow and properly seasoned. The ranch dipping sauce on the side was also fantastic. However, their malt vinegar aoli was a bit too sweet for my taste.

Hot sandwiches have my heart! All the sandwiches here are served hot! Don’t sleep on the Lomo Saltado and the Muffuletta! The steak on the Lomo Saltado was tender and loved the aji sauce! Also tried the chimichurri fries, loaded potato wedges, house slaw, and had to run away with a bag of Chicago style hot dog chips. The fries and wedges were magical! I can’t wait to go back and try their other sandwiches! I love they have the small hospital like ice cubes. Owner Mike was super nice and love the neighborhood feel of this spot. Free parking lot makes it easy!

I live nearby and this place is so good! Been here several times and the staff is always nice, the food is hot and super tasty, and I'll definitely be back for more. Really love the Old Bay fries, and today's cheese curds (special) were really solid. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

Tried Cured & Crafted for the first time and it was excellent. I ordered the Veggies & Such on ciabatta with marinated feta, roasted eggplant, pickled red onions, labneh, arugula, ajvar, and balsamic glaze. It was one of the best vegetarian sandwiches I’ve had! It’s fresh, flavorful, and satisfying without needing any meat. We also tried another Italian-style veggie sandwich and it was just as good. The homemade chipotle mayo on the side was a great addition, and the Woodwright salad was also delicious. The owner himself was there, very kind and welcoming, and took the time to talk with us about the place. The whole atmosphere felt warm and inviting, and you can tell they care about the food and the customer experience. If you’re in Jefferson Park or nearby, I highly recommend stopping in. I’ll definitely be back.

A great addition to the Jefferson Park neighborhood! I got the turkey etc. and my husband had the clubby—both delicious. They had a nice selection of chips and the fries were also good! The owner took our order and brought us our food, he was so nice and welcoming, and the vibe in the shop was cool. Excited to go back and keep trying new menu items, would absolutely recommend this place!

Don't walk here. Run!!! The sandwiches here are surprisingly well-crafted. I had a Turkey, Etc - A turkey, bacon, red onion, cheese, and tomato creation served on a soft sesame seed bun. All sandwiches are served hot. I heard they travel well. They deliver! I also had an order of their homemade onion rings. They were crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. They were delicious plain, but the accompanying Housemade Chipotle Mayo kicked the flavor next level. They don't serve sweets yet, but are working on it. If their choice of confections is as good as their sandwiches, that will be a treat, too.

Review based on delivery service order. Cannot vouch for service inside the restaurant. Not a good experience. Ordered the Italian sandwich. Sandwich was dry, small, not much meat, appears to have been microwaved, and expensive. There was only a thin layer of meat and the mortdella was missing/not on the sandwich. The cheese was melted and the outside edges of the meat were crinkled/crispy, like it had been microwaved. The bread was not toasted and it's not a hot sandwich, so I'm not sure how the cheese and meat got this way other than a microwave. It was about 8 inches in length and cost nearly $18. I'm not sure if I'll order from here again. I might try going to the restaurant and see if the in-person experience is better. I love local businesses but this was a miss for me. Hopefully this is a one-off.

This is without a doubt my favorite sandwich place and honestly one of the best places to get a Sammie in this city! I’ve tried the Chimichurri Steak, the Rachel, the Clubby and the Chopped Cheese and they are all delicious. They source their ingredients from Slagel Farms which is why the quality is so good. The owner is always friendly and welcoming. Soooo good! You won’t be disappointed, I promise!!

I've been twice. Had a cold sandwich and a hot sandwich. What blew me away was the French fries! Amazing! Great service. Will be back

I bought gift cards for my neighbors and told them about this place and they are all raving! Craft sandwhich shop located in Jefferson Park that I believe more recently opened up! I called ahead for pick up and it was just about ready when I got there. The girl who took my order on the phone and rang me up was really friendly. I ordered the Lomo Saltado sandwich was was EXCELLENT, but my only complaint is that I found it to be extremely expensive. It was roughly $20 just for the sandwich alone. With the tip I left there spending over $23. While I did love the taste and flavor and ingredients, I don't know if I'd come back often just for the price point. They do have some other sandwiches at lower price points, but still seem a bit high to me.

Best sandwich I've had in a long time. Turkey Etc - turkey, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and bacon on a soft sesame seed bun. I also ordered their homemade onion rings with chipotle mayo. Delicious doesn 't begin to describe it. There are a lot of items to choose from. It may take me a while, but I can see myself eating one of everything their menu has to offer.

The sandwiches and onion rings were outstanding! The service was excellent with a full explanation of the menu. The place was very pleasant and clean. Highly recommend!

You HAVE to check this place out! Delicious food, reasonable prices and unique options, kind and helpful service. We had the Chimmichuri Steak, The Rachel, and two different orders of fries. The steak was perfectly cooked and I loved the thousand island dressing on the Rachel. I will definitely be back!

No need to head to West Town or West Loop for an incredible sandwich! Go to Cured and Crafted in Jefferson Park!!! Kudos to the chef/cook/ or high school kid who assembled my Clubby sandwich. It had the perfect balance of flavors and ingredients. Just the right amount of red onion, sauce, meat and finally a sandwich with bacon that was not cooked hours ago. My daughter keeps going back for the Rachel. I can't wait to go back and try other sandwiches.

My husband and I were craving a sandwich and googled what was around us. Cured & Crafted came up, so we decided to give it a try. We shared the Turkey Etc sandwich and it was SO good! The flavors were poppin'! The service was great too! We are looking forward to going back and trying more items on the menu. So glad we found this place!

We ordered their woodright salad with steak, their broccoli salad with bacon bits, and a side of cheese fries. Everything was fresh, delicious, and well presented. We both loved our meals and will be back!

Checked them out on their opening weekend and everything was great. We tried the Muffuletta and Belly BLT. The descriptions were spot on. Between the two, I preferred the Muffuletta. (I would have liked thicker tomatoes on the Belly BLT, but that's a personal preference. The sandwich is fantastic.) Super excited to go back and try a some of the other interesting menu items.

Stopped in today for the first time and loved our experience! I had the Turkey Etc which was delicious with really good bread. My girlfriend had the Italian which she also loved. Restaurant interior had some fun decorations and comfortable seats. All the employees were very friendly too. Can't wait to go back and dive into more of their offerings!

Wow!!!! My sister catered her kid's birthday party with them. These sandwiches are insane!!! I got to try 3 different subs and all are gourmet. I can't wait to go to the restaurant and try more! This is a must! Also excited to try the salad.

Wow really great sandwich spot. A welcome addition to the neighborhood. Small but mighty menu, which means everything is fresh. French fries cooked in beef tallow are amazing. This is my go to spot. Check them out you won't be disappointed!!

Stopped in based on the recommendation of my brother and had the Italian. It was great! I'm excited to go back and try some of the other sandwiches. (I hung out and worked on my laptop after I was done eating, and I saw a bunch of people coming in from around the neighborhood, which was great to see.)

Gladstone Park and North Chicago have been in dire need of a great sandwich shop for quite some time. There are many tried and true beef shops and of course... The awesomeness of SuperDawg is just down the road... But, when talking about sandwiches, Dese' Guys Have The Goods! My husband and I took a stab at C&C and it delivered! I got 'The Rachel' and he got the 'Turkey Etc.'. The sandwiches were downright sumptuous and all of the flavors 'Hit' just right! Of course... these were just the Turkey selections and have yet to try every darned one of their sandwiches! They have some attractive salad offerings and a menu just for the kiddos with everything they crave! Great menu, great service, easygoing, cool and cozy atmosphere. Look forward to visiting again, and again and again...

Great new spot! I had a Clubby and husband had the Italian. Owner was so nice. If you are looking for a solid sandwich I highly recommend.

Excellent turkey sandwich- clearly fresh ingredients. We split "The Rachel" & "The Clubby" - both had great flavor. We also had the homemade onion rings and cole slaw- both fantastic. What a GREAT addition to the neighborhood.

Visited for the first time on Saturday and loved everything I tried! The Cubano, Diavolo Italiano, and coleslaw were delicious. Definitely worth the drive from Palatine!

We had a delightful time there. The sandwiches were amazing and the vibe was super chill. The staff were great!! My wife and I will definitely be going there for lunch dates during the week! I can't wait to try all the sandwiches!! This neighborhood really needed a restaurant like this :)!!!
