"Our favorite Jamaican spot in West Palm is in a small plaza between a laundromat and a barbershop. If you see folks walking out with styrofoam boxes full of jerk chicken, curry goat, and oxtail, you’re in the right place. They serve breakfast all day, so we never come here without ordering ackee and saltfish. The tender ackee is mixed with flaky saltfish. It comes with fried dumplings, a boiled green banana, and sweet plantains. This should keep you full until dinner, but you can’t leave here without buying the county’s flakiest beef patty too. Most dishes are made to order, so call ahead if you’re in a rush. Or chat it up with their friendly team while you wait and eat your ackee and saltfish at the counter by the window. video credit: Virginia Otazo video credit: Virginia Otazo video credit: Virginia Otazo" - Virginia Otazo

Google
Really enjoyed. We stopped here after searching Google maps for Jamaican food. Tried the jerk chicken, fried chicken, oxtail, fried plantains, beef patties, dumplings, and "festival" (a fried bread with flour and cornmeal). Everything was delicious and good quantities. Very authentic! And we got the lunch specials which were only $8! So good we were so happy! And we met Curly who was very nice. Only complaint is that it was hard to find since it had no big sign, only a sign on the window. And not much seating, it's mostly carry out but there was 4 chairs and we did eat there at the counter. Will definitely go back next time we are in town!

I went to Curly's on a whim, and it turned out to be one of the best Caribbean restaurants in the area that I've visited. I decided to try Curly's based on the excellent reviews, and I highly recommend checking out their lunch specials; affordable and delicious! The owner was very kind and even let us try the festival (fried cornbread), which was amazing!! Give them a try; you won't be disappointed. And to make things easier for them, consider calling in your order! Ambiance - bit small, mostly to-go orders but they still have bar stools and high tops!

Google
This is the closest Jamaican food you will find similar to Jamaica. 🇯🇲 the food is 10/10 and the price is very reasonable. Mini food all day is the best thing . The beef patties are amazing as well. I highly recommend this place . Must try the fried chicken 🍗 with rice and peas oxtail gravy . Best I ever had . Thank you curly’s.

Google

Google
Food is tasty but very expensive, the curry goat worth every penny. I hate to spend the money but it's so good. One thing curlys more food as the price goes up pl.

Google
I’m going to preface this review with saying the food was good, but for $20 for a large oxtail I expect more pieces of meat than 6 pieces. Now to customer service, horrible. I walked in (my first time at this establishment) and was greeting by an older gentleman he asked how I heard about them and asked me what I wanted, then proceeded to say “we’re not really a walk - in restaurant, we prefer you call in” I stated I’m informed now I saw it on your door. He proceeds to say “ so why didn’t you call it in” being flabbergasted by his demeanor and tone of voice I stated “because I wanted it”. If you’re not a “walk - in” restaurant, post it online and on a website. Take reservations if you can’t walk in and order. If I wasn’t on my lunch break I would have just left and found somewhere else to eat. Customer service is EVERYTHING. You’ll never succeed with that attitude and especially with someone is coming to you for the first time. Do better.

Google
I recently moved to the area and I have taken a liking into this restaurant however, I recently tried their oxtails and they were so tough. It was unbearable. For oxtails and food to be so expensive it is almost a joke that restaurants will play with your food and your money. The patties are amazing but moving forward, I’ll never order oxtails and I would recommend no one else. Does I paid almost $30 for a large plate of oxtails only to have to throw it away because they were extremely tough

Google
Absolutely excellent experience, great Jamaican food , good portions and efficient service. Will definitely order again.

Yelp
Since 2014, I've been a loyal patron of Curly's Caribbean Flava, and their chicken soup paired with festival remains a personal favorite. This take-out-only gem in West Palm Beach offers an extensive menu of authentic Jamaican dishes, each prepared with exceptional flavor and care. Their jerk chicken, in particular, stands out, featuring tender, bone-in meat marinated overnight in a blend of pimento, ginger, thyme, resulting in a fragrant and complex taste. The owner "Curly" brings such a great energy to the establishment, often engaging customers with his charismatic personality. He's all about customer service from the minute you walk in the door to the moment you leave. You won't forget him! For a genuine taste of Jamaica, Curly's Caribbean Flava is awesome have.

Yelp
This is my first time ever eating from this restaurant. I called in the order and the man on the other end was pleasant enough. He said the order would be ready in five minutes. I got there about 10 minutes later. There was no line, no wait. I ordered 2 lunch special jerk chicken meals: one with white rice and the other with rice and peas. The food was fresh and very tasty. I will definitely be back!

Pis S.

Yelp
Everything was amazing, the guy at the front was welcoming and friendly and even recommended a few items to try. I had the curry chicken lunch special that came with rice and peas, cabbage & a drink. Very delicious. I will definitely be a return customer.

Jason L.

Yelp
Yah Mon ! Dis a true rasta facility, stew peas wit oxtail, rhaaatiddddd ! This ahh wahhh meh want. You stew peas must a have pig tail but this way was good mek meh tell you. The curry goat is amazing also to die for. I will be back to try everything else on this menu as meh must treat myself !

Alice Z.

Yelp
Best fried chicken ever. Jerk chicken is also good. Served by the pound. Suggest you call ahead to place your order. I have not tried anything else yet. Friendly service. Definitely recommend

Zulma S.

Yelp
Curry chicken and empanadas are finger licking delicious!! If those dishes are any indication, the rest of their menu is bound to be as good. Also excellent selection of beverages beyond typical soda offerings.

Tanya H.

Yelp
The food is delicious, but unfortunately, they have stopped serving white meat for the jerk and fried chicken. The Brown Stew fish and oxtail (expensive) are delicious. The customer service is ok... It's a Store Front Restaurant so it's an in/out mostly take-out spot. Overall, the food is very good.

Dee F.

Yelp
The food is delicious! I prefer their jerk chicken over all others. Always have great service if you call ahead.

Erika L.

Yelp
Curly's is the BEST Jamaican restaurant in West Palm Beach! I ordered Stew peas with white rice and vegetables. The vegetables were cooked to perfection and consisted of cabbage, broccoli, and carrots. I also added a spicy Jamaican patty which delivered the right amount of flavor and heat. Please call the restaurant to place your order and avoid waiting. Trust me you won't be disappointed

Ms B.

Yelp
The only thing that saves this place is the fact that the Jerk Chicken is always fresh however they need to look into the storage of the rice and peas/ rice because both times I've eaten there Ive gotten sick (the kind of sick were your bottom needs to be close to a toilet for DAYS) Other than that I could eat that Jerk Chicken "Every Day" the way it's seasoned and always moist and fresh. Please look into the rice and peas issue. Something is giving us a bug from that restaurant and my mother and sister have said the same thing. They just say it "messes up their stomach" which I immediately thought it was probably too spicy for them. They really should have told me it gave them diarrhea for days then I would have stayed away.

Jada M.

Yelp
The gentleman at the front was so kind and thoughtful. It was my first time and I was I wasn't sure if I wanted the brown stew chicken or the jerk chicken. Without hesitating he offered if I would like to sample each. Both was so good I got the jerk chicken with brown stew gravy lol. The service was fast and the food was delicious! Being Jamaican myself it's always hard to find good authentic food here, but they nailed it !!!

Tina C.

Yelp
We got two large orders of Oxtails it was so good. defiantly will be back for the brown stew and Jerk chicken.

Xavier I.

Yelp
I had the coco bread (very underwhelming and disappointing) and the large jerk chicken meal with rice & peas and gravy (pretty good and for a solid price). This is a good Jamaican spot but l've definetly had better.

Marie F.

Yelp
Something about rude phone services from a Caribbean spot makes me expect good food. So the service isn't rude as much as it is direct. You walk in (especially during lunch hours and first question will be, "did you call ahead?" Also expect they will quickly run out of your favorites! (Coworker raves about the goat - no way can I have that during lunch and not have a nap til the morning.) Sweet conch meat meets fiery chili peppers in this aromatic stew. Long simmering tenderizes the shellfish and results in a soup, laden with chunks of succulent conch meat and vegetables. Yasss when I see it has plantains! Some would think this would be perfect for winter (it is). But conch soup just feels right in the summer with a few fried dumplings to go. When thinking about lunch Call Ahead Call Ahead Call Ahead Call Ahead

Brittany S.

Yelp
This use to be my go to for oxtail but the last couple times I ordered from here was not good. The meat was either tough or the last time it was beefy bad. Either they changed the cooked or they stopped washing the meat or not marinating it. The gravy has flavor, thankful for that to put on the meat or I couldn't eat it. Please check your cook or how they washing/marinating the oxtails. Been the same flavor the last couple times I ordered from there. I will not be ordering again. Time to look for a new place for Jamaican oxtail.

Jay Á.

Yelp
Best Jamaican food in south Florida. You can tell they care about the food. Make sure to call in advance to place your order. Take out/ take away only

K W.

Yelp
Ordered a large brown stew chicken around 7:45pm and was dissatisfied with the portion size. It contained very little chicjen, mostly rice, 2 teaspoons of cabbage. This is the 3rd time this has happened. I even asked if they were low on chicken. The man replied no and attributed to servers being different. Horrible.

David L.

Yelp
Food was mediocre at best. Tasted like American jerk chicken with heavy barbecue sauce, not authentic Jamaican food. Server was rude and told me "that's enough for you" hot sauce even though I had gotten a few drops from the ONE hot sauce bottle in the dingy dining room. First time there and the last. Beef patties were absolutely terrible tasted days old. Better off getting dollar store frozen golden Krust patties.

Julissa R.

Yelp
It's my boyfriend's new fav spot now for Jamaican food!! It's a small spot but it's def home cooking taste! Delicious

Delilah L.

Yelp
Wish they had mac & cheese just to have another option as a side but besides, that food is amazing great small business

Tope O.

Yelp
I've been to a handful of Jamaican spots and this surpasses them all! The oxtail and gravy was full of flavorful. It was a 10/10 in my book. Coming from a picky eater, you won't be disappointed.

Marco P.

Yelp
Food is always delicious and authentic. I like the jerk chicken and rice and peas and I give that a 10/10. I sometimes get the oxtails too which is a 6-7/10 and lastly the curry chicken which I give a 7/10. They have the drinks and patty too.

Bianca S.

Yelp
This is the best place in Florida for oxtails done right !! I could eat here seven days a week, it is that good !

Johnathan S.

Yelp
The place is small so you might miss it if you are driving by. I ordered the large oxtail. It was good and got a fair amount. Plan on getting your food to go because there is not really no where to seat. There is a small bar but that's about it.

Stefany P.

Yelp
Just ate at Curlys for the first time and will 100% be back and brining more friends and family along. 10 out of 10. Great customer service as well

keyani s.

Yelp
Ordered curry goat, jerk chicken, and festival and food was all delicious. It is very well seasoned and it is made fast. Recommend this place, but make sure you call in your order prior to coming in

Jasmine D.

Yelp
This place was jam packed when I came to pick up my food. Word to the wise, DEFINITELY call ahead your order because you will not be prioritized if you walk in. They are busy fulfilling all the to go orders first. There's not much seating room inside so it's a better restaurant for to go orders anyway. Anyway, the jerk chicken was a winner, rice and peas were cooked well also. Other Jamaican restaurants I've been to seem to neglect the flavors of the side orders and the rice can be dry, but Curly's is on point. The rice was fluffy and moist, and you can taste the coconut milk it's cooked with. Curry chicken was also good but not much spice which I would've enjoyed. Had a good beef patty to top it off. Solid restaurant if you're craving some good Caribbean food. Parking lot is pretty small and crowded so get in and get out of there.

Kathy V.

Yelp
Food was good hot and delicious and counter person was personally. I would definitely recommend.

Simply Mariah 2.

Yelp
This is the best Jamaican restaurant I've been to I've had it twice in a row 10/10 highly recommend

Nathalia Z.

Yelp
Hands down best Jamaican food I have had! Surprisingly customer service is amazing for an island restaurant which is a plus. The food is delicious. I had oxtail which left me speechless! I will let my picture speak for itself

Jen M.

Yelp
As authentic as it gets! Huge portions! I got curry goat with rice and peas and plantains. 5 stars! Try the Juice-mon so good and fresh! Literally tasted like fresh pressed juice without all the added sugar.

Sabrina T.

Yelp
I called Monday and today which is Thursday to purchase soup and @5pm no soup. I can't believe that enough soup don't be made for people that come for dinner. Not good for business!

Becca d.

Yelp
Curry chicken is my favorite!!! But everything I've ordered is always wonderful!! Food is always hot and fresh! I absolutely love Curly's! And honestly it's been the only thing I want to eat while pregnant!!

Sandra S.

Yelp
Food was DELICIOUS!!! They didn't charge me for asking for gravy on my rice which is AMAZING (cause that really grinds my gears). The rice and peas had a perfect balance of thyme and coconut milk. The jerk chicken was falling off the bone! My only critique is I wish they slim down on the amount of fat on the oxtails. Would def recommend!

Matthew C.

Yelp
I've been going to this place for years. They've been number one ever since. Hands down the best food in west palm beach that you can find. Service is always quick and polite

Robert N.

Yelp
Called in an order for brown stewed chicken and jerk chicken lunches. The cashier opened both steaming hot plates for my approval. Absolutely beautiful! My buddy and I ate buffet style from the two dishes and I had plenty left over for supper. Excellent. Call ahead.

Shannon L.

Yelp
Food is usually alright. I usually order the oxtail with rice and peas which is great for the price. I ordered jerk chicken which tasted like it was made in the oven ( irritating factor). The soups taste okay. I've gotten a large conch soup which wasn't bad but not too much conch was given. The chicken soup was probably the worst item. The soup lacked thickness and the flavor was overpowered with seasoning salt.

Brittany S.

Yelp
The best I've found (since my favorite closed) in Palm Beach County. Large portions and tender meat, but oxtail has no kick. Forgot to photograph jerk chicken but it was also very good, slight kick to that. We've gotten the curry goat before & while it's good, it also lacks spice & had a lot of bones in it. Everytime we've gotten patties they're dry and honestly the filling is no good. Would not recommend those. The rice is perfect. Overall recommend!

Sonia E.

Yelp
Where do I start?! My family and I decided to go on vacation to FL. Our first day in we, all 16 of us, decided to just have some good food and chill. Curly's was highly recommended as THE SPOT. The food was phenomenal! Everything was fresh and seasoned to perfection. You can tell the chef cooked everything with love. Everything was fresh and piping hot when it arrived. The pictures don't do the food justice. The food was just so good! We all had seconds and thirds. If you are in the West Palm area, do yourself a favor and go to Curly's!

Kim J.

Yelp
The jerk chicken, peas and rice, with a side of cabbage was so good, I could hardly wait to eat it on my way back home. The dude at the register talked me into trying the meat pie, that had just finished cooking and was I pleasantly shocked at how absolutely delicious it was; way better than an empanadas. I live in Coral Gables and was making my weekly trip to WPB to see my grandson play TBall. I'll be visiting Curly's more often! All the way around thumbs up

Nicole B.

Yelp
I popped in at 8 am, hoping to grab some curry chicken. Since it was so early, I thought the curry chicken may not be available as of yet, but the chef had me covered. ;) It was phenomenal! Im a weakling when it comes to spiciness, but I love a bit of a kick...and he added the perfect amount of spice to it ! Im so excited to stop by again because I know my father would absolutely love it . Hoping to pick some up for him later . Thanks for an incredible curry chicken breakfast !

Saptaparni K.

Yelp
Curly's is an extremely authentic Caribbean joint. You can literally taste that the rice has been cooked in coconut milk. The meat is tender and juicy. The jerk chicken is perfectly grilled with just the right amount of spices. The extra sauce on the side is one of my favorites. The fried plantains are crispy yet juicy. Tip: eat them right away. Curly, you are a great comedian. Loved hanging out with you. Give Rashid our love Sapta and Ali

Zack C.

Yelp
Easily the best Jamaican food in south Florida. It really doesn't make sense how good this food is. Order ahead and your food will be ready "No line, no Wait" as he always says! You will not be disappointed going here

Sherika R.

Yelp
Decided to try this place out as my sister's husband was raving about it annnnnnnnnnd let me tell you, he was right too! My goodness the jerk chicken was amazing! It's exactly what you want jerk chicken to be! I will definitely be a repeat customer!

Greg B.

Yelp
Not everyone can make oxtail. Curlys makes the best oxtail I've had from a restaurant in Palm Beach. I usually ask for extra sauce because I like my rice wet.

Emily B.

Yelp
Don't expect a fancy restaurant by any means, but expect delicious food! The jerk chicken is a must! This place has friendly Jamaican staff and a catering/buffet type set up. It's not really a dine-in place for many or a large group. Enjoy one of the hidden gems of West Palm Beach! It's right off Lantana Blvd.

Ton Q.

Yelp
Curly is the man the myth. The Legend, brown stew chicken tasted like Jamaica and the call ahead service was excellent. Don't forget your beef patties!

Martha F.

Yelp
I've gotten lunch plates at Curly's but have never tried having them cater an event. I ordered four dishes (cocktail beef patties, curry chicken, oxtails, rice and peas). The Curly was very responsive when I called him regarding my orders and the food was ready at the requested time and date. My guests couldn't stop raving on how delicious everything was! I will definitely have this establishment cater for my event again!
