Curry & Hurry in Greenwich serves delicious food with generous portion size definitely approved! The flavors are spot-on and everything tastes fresh. There’s not much seating inside, so it’s more suited for takeout or delivery, but that doesn’t take away from the quality. A great choice when you’re craving tasty curry in the area.

Google
This was such a lucky find for us and conveniently right around the corner from where we were staying. Their service was quick and the waiter was incredibly friendly. And the food was superb. We tried two of their vegetarian dishes and two of their naan, and it was all so good. I was bummed I got full so fast because I wanted to keep eating it all. Highly recommend!

Google
Very nice friendly staff. The chicken tika massalah lunch special had enough food for two. Loved the gulabamin dessert... top notch.. The nan bread was just ok. I did find the mulligatorni soup a bit hot. Definitely will drop by for another takeout lunch.

Google
Randomly picked this place to stop for a quick bite and it didn't disappoint. Small but very cozy & inviting. Gopi was amazing with his service & recommendations. Really enjoyed the food. Malai Kofta was flavorful & the sauce was yummy, would have liked if it was a little bit spicy. The Chicken Chettinad was well prepared and had a nice spicy kick to it. We were served complementary spinach fritters with a dash of chat masala, very unique and simple but tasty. Thank you. Kheer was yummy ... right consistency and sweet. Loved it. We had a great dinner & will be coming back when in the area.

Google
Amazing food at this hidden gem! We absolutely loved everything we tried. The tamarind eggplant appetizer was incredible as well as the mulligatawny soup— one of the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back.

I recently dined at a small Indian restaurant and had a mixed experience. The spinach pakora offered a unique twist on the traditional dish, which was interesting but not quite what I expected. The lamb rogan josh was flavorful and well-prepared, though it still had a noticeable lamb smell. The service, particularly from Gopi, was excellent; I mentioned that the naan was slightly burnt, and he promptly replaced it, showcasing impressive hospitality. The restaurant itself is quite small, which can make for a cozy but somewhat cramped dining experience. Despite this, the food and service were superior to other nearby Indian restaurants, making it a worthwhile visit.

Google
Curry and Hurry has quickly become one of my go-to spots! This was my second visit, and I’m just as impressed as the first time. The service is friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even better. I tried the lamb chops this time—juicy and full of flavor, definitely a standout. The garlic naan was thin and crispy, pairing perfectly with the main dishes. The samosa chaat was tasty and well-spiced, and the masala chai was just what I needed to round out the meal—rich, spiced, and so satisfying. Overall, Curry and Hurry is a solid choice for flavorful dishes and great service. I’ll be back for sure!"

Google
Definitely exceeded my expectations. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and the dishes had a personal touch. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I don't always give 5 stars but this was deserved.

Yelp
Very very disappointing experience. I ordered at 7pm for a 745 pickup. At 735 as I was walking out the door to pick it up they called me to tell me the one dish I ordered did contain nuts (I had noted an allergy). So they said they'd make something else for me and it'd be ready when I arrived. It took another 25 minutes once I arrived and when I got home they hadn't even labeled the dishes we ordered so I had no idea which was mine without nuts. When I called they did help by offering to text me so I could send a photo and they confirmed which dish was mine, and when I finally sat to eat it it was incredibly spicy even though I asked twice to confirm it was not. I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

Yelp
I am very disappointed with this place that I used to like. I was the first customer of the day the other day and I ordered a vegetable biryani and a Madras curry. I've had a ton of Indian food in my lifetime from various restaurants all over Fairfield county especially this type of curry since it's my favorite and know how it is supposed to be. When I picked it up for my lunch break, $45 lunch at that- and started eating it, I was shocked. It had so many seeds from some of the hottest tiny peppers ever. It's a normal size container and they put so much spice that it was actually unbearable. Made me cry and suffer in pain from how many small crushed up small peppers they put in it with a ton of the seeds which is what mainly causes the intense burning. Gave me a stomach ache and acid reflux after only a few bites. Very saddening since I was starving and looking forward to eating. At least if you're going to ridiculously add that many peppers to one order of curry be kind enough to gut the chilis first and take the seeds out its just common sense. When I called them the next day since I was in the middle of working and had to go hungry for the work day- they claimed that " it says that it's spicy " on the menu when it indeed does NOT state that the madras curry is spicy online. They refused to remake it for me even though thats what i asked for fist- or even refund me. I was also looking forward to the vegetable biryani, not only were vegetables in massive huge chunks instead various pieces bite size pieces- but it's as if I ordered Paneer biryani. It was FULL of cheese chunks. Mine didn't even contain cashews how it looks in the photo. I know vegetable biryani comes with Paneer but its supposed to be mainly veggies. It had way more cheese then vegetables and barley any curry seasoning in the rice the rice was pale not a nice traditional yellow. Sloppy and lazy cooking if you ask me and trying to take short cuts instead of trying to please the customers. $45 for two things I won't be going there again and I must rather go to somewhere else like Taj in DT Stamford, which is basically straight down the Post Road.

Yelp
Most of the time it's good. Every now and then not so good. Need to try again soon Then I will review again.

Yelp
This was a great find when we were here for one night. We tried the Colonel Tso Cauliflower as an appetizer and paired it with the Special Lamb Curry. We also got some naan and pickled lemon. We got everything 4/5 spicy and it wasn't too super hot. The cauliflower was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside with a sweet and tangy sauce. It was light but tasty. The Special Lamb curry was amazing and had well cooked potatoes and an ample amount of meat. Very very good. The server said to pair it with rice and that it's good for digestion. Overall we had a great experience dining here.

Yelp
Honestly some of the best Indian food in the area. Service was fast and beyond friendly. Cute little spot.

Yelp
I am surprised that I can still see the lamb curry in the lunch box! I know inflation has been tough on everyone but this is some kind of a practical joke. I will challenge the restaurant to make the serving smaller and see if we notice. Or maybe not, because I won't be falling for this prank again. Pathetic. Try Dhabe Walla that gives their main servings in the larger part of the box.

Yelp
Make this small indoor restaurant with easy take out your new place for delicious and fresh Indian food. It's only maybe a mile from the other spot, and the trip is worth it!! Friendly staff and such fresh and tasty food! The samosa pastry is extremely light, allowing the spice of the potato to take the lead. The baby eggplant curry is a must eat. The baby eggplants are quartered and cooked in a creamy, tangy curry. My takeout order came with three small sauces that were each so fresh, and I enjoyed the chicken tikka with the sweet lemon sauce - for lack of a better way to describe it - immensely! I used to live near by, and had seen this new restaurant during my return visits. I would eat here throughout the week if this place moved with me. Make the effort. You'll have an incredibly satisfying and enjoyable eating experience!

Yelp
I couldn't believe how kind the staff was here. We took my dad out of his nursing home for lunch, he loves Indian food and as you can imagine they don't serve that regularly in a nursing home so we found somewhere close by to take him. My dad is a stroke patient so his entire left side does not work and is pretty much always in a wheelchair. When we pulled up we noticed there was a pretty tall step to the front door that we definitely could not wheel him over. The staff (2 gentlemen) actually helped me lift my dad to his feet and bring him inside to then set him in his wheelchair again!!! I cannot express enough gratitude for the staff who helped me, it was an unexpected obstacle (my sister told me she checked if the restaurant was wheelchair accessible- she lied) and I would not expect help from staff at all but they went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable experience. From the bottom of my heart thank you SO much. It is not often my dad is able to leave the nursing home and this meal/experience meant so much to all of us. To top of it off, of course the food was delicious and plentiful! We had the chicken tikka masala and 2 other chicken dishes I can't remember the names of but they were excellent along with the garlic and onion naan. Presentation was excellent and service was impeccable. Thank you again, I would 100000% recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area.

Yelp
It's Saturday night, so I decided to try Curry & Hurry in Greenwich CT. Not to be confused with Curry "in a" Hurry. Tonight was my first time ordering, I opted for curbside pickup & it was very easy. I tried : 1) The Chicken Tikka Masala. A unique and delicious interpretation of a British favorite. Bell peppers ! Watch out if you're allergic to bell peppers .....they should mention this to customers when ordering - bell pepper allergies are real (refer to numerous online references). Slightly sweet and smoky sauce. Beautiful presentation with an orchid placed on top. 2) The Garlic Nan. Absolutely perfect. Loved the nan. Ordered nan after reading the rice portions are small. Agree. 3) The Raita. Wayyyy too sweet. More like the dessert version of Raita. Did not enjoy. Curry & Hurry is good and the location is great. Beautifully presented takeout ! Make sure to ask if they add bell peppers - if you' or anyone you're buying for is allergic

Yelp
The food is incredible! The mild goat curry was so delicious and came with a fragrant bowl of basmati rice. The daal (lentils) are a great side dish. The naan is so fluffy and goes excellent with any saucy dish. The service is wonderful and the restaurant is welcoming and comfy.

Yelp
Curry & Hurry, is an amazing Indian restaurant.Me and my family were there and we got multiple items that were soooooo good. My kids loved it and were begging to bring more home. I highly recommend Curry & Hurry

Yelp
Curry and Hurry had become my go-to option for curry in the area, and while they have been a solid 4-star option, today's meal far outperformed and prompted a review. It is rare for me to find a restaurant where the food/menu continues to improve over time, but Curry and Hurry is delivering. My big complaint with their lunch box had been too little curry and way too much rice, but a container change over the past few months has greatly improved (if not completely optimized) that ratio. Their lunch box appetizers and vegetable now changes, and I find the variety and quality quite strong. For example, today's appetizer was two small samosas, which was not only a nice touch, but actually tasted great. I have always been a fan of their bread and kheer, so no change there. The kheer is the right consistency and sweetness; a nice addon to the lunch box, as well. I also typically get a butter chicken, which reminds me of the consistency of chicken tikka masala I would get in London. If I had to mark down anything, their chili bread was a bit soggy today (I picked up my order, so time in transit a part of the blame), the slightest derogatory mark against a fantastic meal. All-in-all a 5-star meal from a consistent and improving restaurant. I had already come to expect good quality from Curry & Hurry, but if today is an indication of future expectations, then one will be hard pressed to match the quality for the price In SW Connecticut.

Yelp
Affordable lunch specials with decent tasting food. I had the chicken tikka masala lunch special which comes with rice, naan, and daal. There isn't much of the entree, they provide more rice, but it is the perfect amount to eat with the rice and naan. The chicken tikka masala was good, but the chicken pieces are a bit bland. The daal is on the watery side but is nice and light. Not bad for the price. They even threw in a little bit of extras.

Yelp
Ordered the chef's special lamb curry and garlic naan. Curry was delicious and quite filling. Great spices and flavor. A little bit pricey but probably about right for the area. Definitely worth a try!

Yelp
First time ordering food from them. I called to ask questions food availability and the person who picked up was helpful and friendly. I was going to place my order through DoorDash to get a little discount, but the item I wanted wasn't on the site. He offered to place my order on phone and beat the discount which was awesome. Food came pretty quickly, and it was good. Most importantly it came hot. We will definitely return especially if service continues to be this good! I would have been a 5-star review easily except I just prefer my food a bit spicy, so this is definitely a preference thing. I'm sure they are catering to the areas crowd.

Yelp
Great food. the chicken and caliper were great. Amazing service really nice staff. Does takeout Best Indian food I ever had. Highly recommend. Chef and staff are amazing and friendly.

Yelp
Food was EXCELLENT and pickup was super easy! Great covid procedures. When I got there they saw my car and came right outside with my food. I didn't even have to call. I really appreciated this as I am trying to be extra careful with Covid given I have a new baby at home. Ordered chicken tikka masala, palak paneer and Chana masala. All 3 were excellent! I definitely think this is the best Indian food around. I hope this new spot does well! I'll be back for sure.

Yelp
Just ordered delivery from this place, and though we only ordered a few bites to tide us over until our holiday dinner tonight, we are already fans! Courtesy of other Yelpsters, I tried the fried cauliflower appetizer-- yum! I am recently obsessed with cauliflower, so this hit the spot. The papadum was fantastic, and I do tend to trust an Indian restaurant by their papadum... :) The cheese and garlic naan was everyone's favorite, and the fried biryani rice was also a hit. To my knowledge, this town hasn't had a good Indian restaurant in a while; so Curry & Hurry seems a delicious new find. You Yelpsters always come through! ;) Happy 4th, everyone!

Elyse S.

Yelp
Terrible! The chicken tikka masala was like rubber and the sauce was strange. The shahi paneer was also like rubber.
google avatar

Bill J.

Yelp
Great local Indian place in Greenwich, CT! Staff are great and helpful-- went so far as to bring food out to the car during the pandemic! Consistent quality & delivery; my favorites are the chicken saag and the chana masala. Hopefully I go to eat in person soon; I've always only done takeout. My experience with takeout so far has been great, so I'd love to see what an in person experience would be like!
google avatar

Dee X.

Yelp
This place came high recommended by coworkers I love curryI was very disappointed the rice smelled awful as soon as I opened the container the curry was not spicy at all. It's Thumbs down for sure for me.
google avatar

Jithin V.

Yelp
I can't give them anything less than 5 stars. I saw their ad on Facebook and thought of giving a try. I didn't made a mistake. It's worth a try. Their cauliflower appetiser is mouth watering. Grilled chicken is another recommendation. And finally the MUTTON BIRYANI!! Nothing more nothing less! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Diane S.

Yelp
I love this restaurant. The food is delicious. The baby eggplant curry and the chef special lamb curry are my current favorites. The portions are very generous and it was ready right on time. An easy, safe pickup.Nice people making great food. Give them a try!

Mark P.

Yelp
Not appropriately named . Too many times delayed over an hour when they say 20-35 mins
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious, artfully prepared Indian curries and more. New in town. Very clean and tasty. use Grub Hub or Door Dash to get it delivered.

Robert H.

Yelp
Wry nice new addition to Old Greenwich/Riverside. Good selection of dishes on the menu. Food well prepared and authentically spiced. Nice atmosphere for a small restaurant, friendly staff and good service. Will return.

Yelp
Baby Eggplant CurryChili Cauliflower Chicken curry were all delicious. Spicy but flavorful. I did takeout. Food was fresh and ready for pick up both times. Great quality. Not expensive. Good service. Recommended.

Spark C.

Yelp
I believe they had some management change recently, we called ahead and made reservation, they made all arrangements and they were ready for us. Gopi the chef was the real star.. he greeted us with a smile and prepared delicious food, service was bit slow but I guess atleast they made fresh food for us. Bathrooms were clean and they had good vegetarian options. I would surely be back. They were also very kind to give us complimentary desserts.
google avatar

Beena P.

Yelp
Hands down the best Indian food in the area. Service is fast and friendly and the food is consistently good. Note - they can't do a super mild version of several dishes so if you are especially sensitive to spice/heat this may not be the place for you.
google avatar

Dan K.

Yelp
Discovered this place on yelp and have not been disappointed. We've ordered maybe 3-4 times and have tried several kinds of naan, the chicken tikka masala, lamb korma, spicy cauliflower (and I mean SPICY), among other things. All arrive hot/warm and have a ton of flavor, even the dipping sauces are fantastic. My only knock is the consistency - sometimes the samosas (and other dishes) are really mild, other times I was sweating and tough to finish (but we powered through because they are so tasty). Just looking to know what to expect when I order and it seems to be a bit of a range.

Dianna D.

Yelp
Fantastic new joint. Delicious foodX made quickly but you can tell it's fresh. Chili cauliflower appetizer is to die for, chicken tiki masala doesn't have any nasty bony or tendon bits - just juicy, firm white meat. Fantastic. I've tried many local Indian spots, but this one easily outdoes the rest in flavor alone. Will be my new go-to spot for Indian food!

Mansi U.

Yelp
The staff didn't understand my requirement for a vegetarian meal without onion and garlic. He told me since the curries are prepared in advance they can't make anything in vegetarian for me instead offered me to try MEAT dishes which they could prepare without onion and garlic !!

Mary B.

Yelp
So happy to have found this perfect Indian restaurant in Old Greenwich! The food is authentic and delicious, the staff extremely pleasant and helpful and free delivery now! They brought our delivery out to my car so felt very Covid safe. Butter chicken and coconut rice were really tasty. Try it

Nicki B.

Yelp
Delicious batada vada and the Aloo Gobi was amazing. Ordered takeaway and it was pretty quick!
google avatar

Claire G.

Yelp
Called to inquire about entree sizes- very nice on the phone. Placed online order - simple and easy. Food was delish!! Great new addition to town.
google avatar

Amy L.

Yelp
I ordered online for pick up. The food was ready when I got there. The butter chicken and palak paneer was delicious! Mango Lassi was a nice treat as well. I would order here again - one of my new best finds in the area for Indian food.
google avatar

Andrea A.

Yelp
Had a great meal here last night. We ordered take out through post mates but will try to order direct in the future to further support the business. The cauliflower appetiZer was super spicy and delicious. The garlic naan was soo tasty I filled up on it before I could even get to the rest of the meal. Thoroughly enjoyed the leftovers for lunch today.
google avatar

John P.

Yelp
Simply great food. Very good and polite service. The tandoori chicken was excellent.

Bill C.

Yelp
Outstanding cuisine. Lamb Roganjosh good (9/10). Tender lamb and pleasant spicing Butter chicken over the top good. Palak Paner fabulous. Chana Masala, Dal Makhani, onion naan, Raita, tamarind sauce all fantastic. The place is very clean and the service exceptional. When I'm thinking of Indian food, this is now my go to spot.
google avatar

J M.

Yelp
Had the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan. It was really tasty. I ordered online for delivery. If you like a spicy version, you'll need to ask for in the app. There is not heat with a regular order. But was really good. The price was a little higher than I would normally pay.
google avatar

Tom K.

Yelp
We ordered from here twice. All meals we had were superb. The Gen Tso cauliflower is amazing. Friendly and right in time.
google avatar

Tomy G.

Yelp
It's perfect if you want what you read I just think if the order comes in a bigger size would be better , cheaper prices wouldn't be bad either
google avatar

Krissy B.

Yelp
Great food very clean and friendly! It was so much food I had to get a doggie bag! I will return!!!!
google avatar

Abby A.

Yelp
Had the sweet Kafka curry, a vegetarian option. And an order of garlic naan. Delicious! I will definitely return to eat my way through the menu.
google avatar

Michelle O.

Yelp
We ordered this on seamless and it was hot and delicious. We got chickpea curry masala (vegan) and baby eggplant dish. Both were yummy, but I wish there was more eggplant in the dish. Garlic naan was also good. And cauliflower app was spicy but very yummy. Highly recommend.

Eric J.

Yelp
Have ordered a few times...each time was very good food, fast delivery, Especially liked the lamb chops
google avatar

Bhavik S.

Yelp
Awesome food! We were so surprised. It was very nice. The sweet kofta curry is must try! Very good food. The colonel TSO cauliflower was great. Will come again
