Yelp
Curry and Hurry had become my go-to option for curry in the area, and while they have been a solid 4-star option, today's meal far outperformed and prompted a review.
It is rare for me to find a restaurant where the food/menu continues to improve over time, but Curry and Hurry is delivering. My big complaint with their lunch box had been too little curry and way too much rice, but a container change over the past few months has greatly improved (if not completely optimized) that ratio. Their lunch box appetizers and vegetable now changes, and I find the variety and quality quite strong. For example, today's appetizer was two small samosas, which was not only a nice touch, but actually tasted great.
I have always been a fan of their bread and kheer, so no change there. The kheer is the right consistency and sweetness; a nice addon to the lunch box, as well. I also typically get a butter chicken, which reminds me of the consistency of chicken tikka masala I would get in London.
If I had to mark down anything, their chili bread was a bit soggy today (I picked up my order, so time in transit a part of the blame), the slightest derogatory mark against a fantastic meal. All-in-all a 5-star meal from a consistent and improving restaurant.
I had already come to expect good quality from Curry & Hurry, but if today is an indication of future expectations, then one will be hard pressed to match the quality for the price In SW Connecticut.
