The food is amazing! Every time we come we have the best meal. When the owner is here the service is amazing. When he’s not the employees tell you at the door that they are closing when you are coming in mins before 7 pm and the website says they close at 8:30 pm on Sundays. They told a family coming in at 7:05 pm they were closed so they left. According to the person who greeted us they close at 8 pm. Not sure if maybe they should change the hours on Google. I would definitely recommend if you get here early enough to not feel that they are rejecting your order. You can’t order more Naan 30 mins before closing as the kitchen closes. That’s what they should say at the door. Kitchen closes at 7:30 pm and let the client decide if they want to stay rather than saying we are closed. The party sitting next to us said they love going to the San Marcos location as the service is superb. They said the something similar as we thought “Great food, lousy service”. Other than that the service is good. We will definitely come back hopefully earlier.

This is one of my favorite eating places in town. I've been there twice in the last 2 weeks and the food is always awesome. Last night I had tandoori chicken with a spice range of 5 out of 10. I played it safe but it was really nice and spicy. The rice and the naan bread were awesome as well. I followed that up with a lemongrass soup that was fantastic. I'll be sure to give them another visit very soon. The ambiance was fantastic as well as the staff. They were very friendly and helpful and got my order right the first time. The next time I go I will plan to eat there as I've been taking everything home the last two visits. Great job and I give them a RAVE review....

If you like the taste of Indian food, this is well.prepared. The waitress was very pleasant but the man taking the check was surly. I felt hostility. I will not go back.

I visited several times for lunch. I think the curry is perfect and delicious. Also surprising is the jasmine rice, which is not sticky at all. It was soft and fluffy. The customer service was friendly and helpful.

Google
The food was excellent and so was the service and the employees. I highly recommend this place if you like delicious Indian food! I had the coconut curry chicken and it was bomb!! Everything tasted fresh and they have really clean restrooms. The only issue maybe parking, but other than that, give it a try!

Google
What an outstanding experience we had at Curry & More. I went here with a group of friends, and going to a place that has a good vibe yet serves delicious food was important to us. The restaurant is gorgeous and has a very classy vibe which was a positive thing to begin with. We ordered a couple of dishes from our server’s recommendation and few other from the dinner menu. We ordered murg makhani (aka butter chicken), lamb roganjosh, chicken tikka, lamb biryani and shrimp kali mirch (black pepper shrimp curry) with hot and freshly made naan bread. The food left us licking our fingers, it was flavorful, not too spicy, freshly made, you could taste that it’s not from a buffet and the curry wasn’t old like I have experienced in other Indian restaurants. We have added this place to one of our favorite places to dine in, in San Diego. We will be back for more very soon.

Google
Excellent restaurant. Best Indian food we have had in Dan Diego. The food was extremely flavourful. Staff were professional and had a thorough knowledge of the menu. The restaurant itself was immaculate and the ambience was great .

Google
Food is delicious with many vegetarian options. Service was fabulous and fast for lunch. The veg biryani was delicious and the chai tea was perfect on a cold rainy day. Someone was discussing work on the other side of the partition with a loud voice - the only downside but we left before he got into his meeting. I still recommend!

Yelp
Enjoyed a tasty lunch. I was with friends who each selected a different vegetarian curry (Saag paneer, Mushroom curry and Bhindi (Okra) Masala) and sampled all the curries. The meals are served with a freshly cooked naan, a generous portion of rice and some salad. We asked for medium spice level and the heat level was just right. I'd like to try other curries but if these are any indicator of flavor, they will be great too. The service was quietly efficient. Restaurant is pleasantly decorated.

Yelp
Wow, the food was exquisite, the staff welcoming. We plan to go back just for the experience

Yelp
I work nearby and this is one of our go to place for company lunches. They've always been able to accolade our big groups (~15 people). Service is great here and the food is delicious! I always try a new dish when I come here and I've liked everything! Most of the dishes come with rice, naan, a small salad, and a side of lentils. My favorites are the chicken tikka masala and the chicken jalfrezi.

Yelp
We were in RB a few weekends ago and drove past Curry and more a few times and decided to try this spot out: Here's my food recommendations: - Mumbai calamari - Garlic naan - Chicken tikka masala - Kofta curry - Samosas My hubby loved the chicken tikka masala! It was tender and great flavors. Make sure you order the garlic naan. We definitely fought over the last piece of crumb. The samosa was another great appetizer to share. Every dish was full of flavor and it was such a treat to find good indian food in north county. Make sure you ask for the trio of dipping sauces. It was the perfect spice. Overall a good value. We took home leftovers. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Parking is a plus as the complex is pretty big. Overall, we enjoyed our food and definitely will be back! Bookmark this spot if you're in RB. GO SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES!!

Yelp
I had been to Curry and More - Indian Bistro only once before and it was very good. So tonight I ordered takeout, when I arrived home everything looked good until we opened the naan. It was disgusting, it was dough covered in ashes held together by raw dough. I took it back and the reaction at the restaurant explained it all, the manager's quote was, "looks good, what's the matter with it. If it looked anything like the naan on their website, I would have been very happy. The rest of our order was very good; however, without edible naan it just wasn't enjoyable.

Yelp
Quick service, flavorful, and delicious We came in for lunch and ordered tandoori wings, lemongrass cilantro soup, and coconut chicken curry. Everything came out very quickly, in under 10 minutes. The wings were flavorful on its own but also came with 3 sauces: tamarind, cilantro, and spicy. The lemongrass soup was creamy and savory, good complement to the naan. The coconut chicken curry w/ level 1 spice was our favorite. It was creamy, and savory, and a good enough kick to remind you that you're at an indian restaurant. The curry came with naan, salad, and lentil soup. The naan looked plain but was not bland at all! My conclusion is that I'm tasting the tandoori This place has plenty of parking, seating, and the environment is pretty quiet and relaxing. We would come again to try other dishes

Yelp
The restaurant is in a medium sized strip mall shared with other popular restaurants and stores. There is ample parking, but the lot can get full and you may need to walk a little. We are no experts on Indian food, but we have tried many types in numerous IS states and 3 countries globally. These guys have a unique flavor of Indian food and it is very good. The Tandoori chicken wing appetizer was juicy, well seasoned, and came with three sauces: sweet, sour, spicy. Each sauce was tasty and went well with the chicken, but the sweet one was our favorite. However, the chicken was so good on its own, you don't need the sauces. The saag paneer was flavorful, had a lot of tofu in it, and was well seasoned. It went very well on top of the garlic naan, which was served piping hot. The naan was a little thin and not sufficient quantity to eat the saag paneer with, but the quality was very good. The dishes come with two sides and we got naan for one side, but we're disappointed you could not get double naan. For the second side we hit the potatoes. They came in a tomato based sauce. These were also well seasoned and had a great flavor. We cane in early on a Sun for dinner and they were deserted--just a little take out business. So this is a good time to come so as not to wait to be seated. However, the food prep time was somewhat long but worth the wait. The servers were not rude, but they were not that friendly until we complimented the food and engaged them in conversation. They have a special to get a free appetizer if u signup for their app advertised on the table, but u can only get it on your next visit. There is a birthday special too. Overall, and due to the quality of the food, 5 stars. If u like Indian food, then give these guys a try to see if u like their unique flavor. As their food is slow prepared and served piping hot, then dine in will probably taste better than take out.

Yelp
I would have to say of all the places that we've eaten in San Diego the place I always come back to is this wonderful restaurant. I'm treating myself, and my dog, to a birthday lunch today and while I love about 20 things on their extensive menu, I totally adore their vegetarian okra dish! The service is A+, the ambiance is excellent, soft jazz piano music and lively leather booths inside and comfortable patio seating when you bring your four footed friend. Curry and More servers remember us when we return and are helpful and accommodating. And absolutely this is Indian food at its finest! They have three different locations...check it out!

Yelp
I'm in town for business for a few days and decided to give this establishment a try......let's just say, it didn't disappoint!! I ordered the following: Tandoori Wings Keema Kulcha Keema Matar Samosas I have to say that the food was excellent!! Flavorful with the right amount of spice and flavor. Also, I asked for a spice level of 8 and it was just right for my liking. Bhakti was my server and he was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place to my colleagues. I might come back tomorrow....lol!

Yelp
This place has really good food. The lamb Korma was flavorful and paired well with the raita. The kebab plate was some of the most flavorful and juicy I've had. If this place was just a tad lower on price point I would give it that last elusive star. I will say though that the portions were generous so that made up for the slightly higher pricing. The service was prompt and polite and they even brought me out some liquid sweetener for my iced tea. The inside of the restaurant was nicely decorated and very clean. I will definitely come back to try out more of the menu. Super close to five stars!

Yelp
Once a month my co-workers meet for lunch. For September we met at Curry & More. Good amount of parking in the lot. Naan was freshly baked with a delicious aroma and flavor. Crunchy outer layer and soft fluffy inside. Tandoori wings were tender and moist. Delicious flavor from the marinade. Wait staff provided good service. Curry & More is a good neighborhood spot for Indian food.

Yelp
Came here for lunch, curry tasted decent but it wasn't hot coming out. It was more lukewarm so I don't think it was made when ordered. Service was minorly rude, host/server seemed annoyed when we asked him for boxes and a check.

Yelp
My uncle recommended this spot. It was his favorite Indian food spot when he used to work in RB. I was so happy to see it's also close to my work! I'm vegetarian so I was so excited to try this out and invited my friends to meet me. I ordered the masala chai. It was spicy in taste, and wish I had a bigger mug. I ordered the ahloo gobi, a cauliflower and potato curry entree. The menu doesn't explain this, but it comes with rice and a lentil soup, plus Naan and a cucumber and tomato. Honestly, if it wasn't for a neighboring patron, I wouldn't have known that the lentil soup was actually deal. How come the menu wasn't clear what all came with the meal? When I asked the waiter if it came with rice, all he explained was it was a "combo" meal. On a spice level from 1-10, I chose 6 and it was a good amount of spice for me. Enough to use a tissue for my nose. I wanted to try the potato Naan so I ordered that in addition to regular Naan. I thought it was yummy. Another friend is vegan and ordered the same as me because the waiter only recommended it as one without cream. By the way, Naan is not vegan but you can't sub with roti. Are there others that don't have cheese of cream in the vegetarian options though? I don't know. At the end of the meal, I enjoyed it and will be back.

Tommy C.

Yelp
Came here with vegetarian buddy. I didn't note what he ordered, but my dish is supposed to be tandoori chicken. The chicken tasted decent - wasn't overcooked, but it seriously did not taste anything like tandoori chicken. I guess a C+ for taste, but a D for what it's supposed to be. The naan was good and the salad...well, I would have preferred something more Indian but the other choices were more carbs than veggies. It tasted fine for a salad but again, this is supposed to be an Indian restaurant. I would give it two and a half stars if that rating was available but 3 is two generous, so 2 it is.
google avatar

Jane E.

Yelp
Good Indian place with an extensive menu of great dishes. The samosas and chicken tikka masala, and vegetable biryani are my faves and also highly recommend an upgrade to the garlic naan. The atmosphere is pleasant as well, with good service, some interesting paintings on the wall, and music playing. You can dial the spice up or down. If you like Indian food this is a great find in a convenient location with plenty of parking.
google avatar

Yianni A.

Yelp
I have had better however this place is clean and tasty. Chicken Tikka Masala sauce still a little watery than I am used to. I can only find best Indian on the east coast. The goat cheese Kulcha is different and should try!

Yelp
Paid by card. Curry and More is located in a plaza next to Pho Ca Dao and offers a lot of place parking. I went in on a weekday and ordered to-go. There was no one there so I didn't have to wait long and the food was ready in 10 minutes. The staff was not that friendly or welcoming. I ordered samosas, garlic naan, and chicken tikka masala. I was very disappointed with this food as the samosas had too much potatoes and I didn't like the sauces, the garlic naan was ok, and the chicken tikka masala didn't have that great of a taste and the chicken was so chewy! (tasted like overcooked frozen chicken) Most likely I won't go back to this place to try other dishes.
google avatar

Carmen V.

Yelp
Very accommodating restaurant considering they took a group of 4 when they were half an hour to close (my friends and I were super starving after a long hike and came to eat at Pho Ca Dao but they were very adamant we were not welcomed to seat and eat). I was not into Indian food at the time, so I shared a dish with a friend, some chicken curry with naan but was good but not spicy like I like (well, my friends are not into spicy food so that kind of watered the experience a bit for me). My friends enjoyed their dishes and considering that we did not expect an Indian restaurant to carry wine, the drinker of the group was pretty satisfied. I really like the decor, how spotless clean the place is and how modern looks (it was my first time and expecting something run down for no reason. Will try again ordering something spicy next time that I go by myself.

Yelp
I am a big fan of this place. I've been going for probably eight years truly recommend it.

Yelp
Highly recommend this restaurant. Great food great service. Their desserts are delicious.

Yelp
This was my first time eating at Curry and More it was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to come back again. KW

Yelp
This place was a big disappointment. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and my son ordered the chicken korma. The chicken chunks in both of our dishes were so dry, it tasted like it was cooked the day before and left out on the counter all night. Absolute zero moisture in the chicken, even covered in the korma and tikka masala sauce it was hard and dry. As for the korma and the tikka masala sauce, it didn't taste like the traditional korma or tikka masala that I have had at other Indian restaurants, these tasted odd and lacked the distinct Indian spices. It just did not taste good at all. These entrees were not cheap, they were about $19 each so we felt awful that we couldn't finish it. We had other people in our party, and while their food was not as bad as mine and my son's entrees, they agreed that their food wasn't that great either. We definitely will not be eating here again.
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. They have great food, friendly service, and a good modern and casual ambiance. Moreover, my wife loves this place. She likes Indian food, but she is absolutely in love with Curry And More. Portions are good size, there's always enough for a second meal at home. The one improvement opportunity is the take-home containers - management, please, you would not use these containers for your delivery customers, why are you using them for your eat-in patrons. Use good containers and provide a bag without us having to ask.
google avatar

Christian C.

Yelp
Really tasty indian food. I've been eating Curry and more for years now. Garlic Naan bread and chicken tika marsala is delicious. Recommend to all. Great customer service as well.

Yelp
Great food! All the spice's are wonderful to smell and then to taste, oh my goodness. You will love the environment. Nice staff and service. I've been to the Rancho Bernardo Branch and San Marcos.

Jacqui S.

Yelp
I arrived to store to pickup a delivery and they were closed for some reason, I accidentally walked in without noticing the closed sign and they were napping in the cubicles, I was forced to cancel the customers order and now I'm out $ wonderful business service.
google avatar

Richard M.

Yelp
Was really looking forward to this place. Friends were very excited for me to try. But, I think it fell short. Portions were adequate but flavor was bland. Might give it another shot, but not sure.

Nancy M.

Yelp
Consistently good food in a lovely restaurant. The servers are very attentive. We love the artwork on the walls.

Satish L.

Yelp
Oh my God how do they are still in business. Food quality below mediocre Ambience mediocre but worse is customer service . It is a sitting restaurant with time open till 9 we got in at 8pm Friday night server said kitchen closes at 8:30 ok we ordered the dinner food came out 8:35 pm & 8:45 server comes & say you ready to pay we are ready to go . I mean why wouldn't you reduce your time to 8pm rather than 9 so people are not push out while food in their plate . Will not recommend to anyone
google avatar

Liz P.

Yelp
I've only dined in the restaurant here once before because I normally get takeout and I've officially decided to ONLY ever eat in person. The restaurant is so relaxing but also, the portions when you dine in are ginormous. I ordered the paneer makhni and it was delicious. The spice level varies from 1-10 and I only ordered a 2 because it can get spicy! I once ordered a 4 and could barely finish.

Luis L.

Yelp
Amazing Indian cuisine! Always enjoyed a great meal, the service and atmosphere is the best. Highly recommended.

Stephen H.

Yelp
Wonderful Indian bistro with a great selection and authentic flavor. highly recommend. Service was attentive, polite and accommodating.

Gregg P.

Yelp
I called this restaurant to order delivery! The receptionist gentleman responded sharply that they don't deliver and asked, "did I have my order ready"? I asked a couple of questions. He spoke so fast and in a broken English Indian accent that it was very difficult to understand him. I said never mind and ordered some other things ....he then corrected me, indicating that what I ordered was not on the menu and that I should consult the menu again before calling back and then hung up. I've eaten here before. The food is not great but ok . It's a local remote Indian restaurant with nothing special about it but in a pinch is then nothing at all or Indian is concerned!
google avatar

Masae R.

Yelp
The restaurant was empty, I feel they need to promote their lunch special more. Overall, it was a good value for what you pay for lunch. Food was flavorful. Chicken Tikka Masala

Yelp
I'm pretty much obsessed with Curry and More lately. It's near my house and the food is amazing. Have to say I'm not a big lamb fan BUT I don't know how they do it, but somehow they make it taste awesome, never gamey or smelly. So when you go, order the lamb with supreme confidence. Some context: I would be remiss if I didn't credit my Irish pool guy Jim and my new next door neighbor AJ with totally getting me into Indian food. Culturally I'm fairly food-attuned. Or at least I thought I was pretty hip. Japanese? Of course? Mexican? Obviously. Italian? Cmon. Burgers and fries? For sure. But Indian? I was as ignorant as I was unaware. There's a learning curve to be sure. The menu is kinda WTF? But I already knew the British adore curry since way back. I'll admit also the older I get the more intelligent I've become and more welcoming of new food experiences. Bring it and I'll try it, unless it's liver. Can't do that. But I digress. So again. Hope I'm not boring you, but my food journey has finally caught up to wherever my taste buds happen to be in this moment and time. And I have two words for you -- Chicken Vindaloo! Yes, the Chicken Vindaloo is positively scrumptious. The spicy Goan sauce and the fork tender everything? The spinach, tomato, cucumber salad with balsamic vinegar? Curry and More never disappoints. I've had their vegetarian dishes. I've had the lamb dishes. Everything is always fantastic. Trust me. Sit outside. Have a Taj Mahal lager (or two) and enjoy all the flavor they will throw at you -- Be sure to tell them Kent sent you! Not that I get a kickback or anything but that would be nice and I might ask them about that. Just go and thank me later.

Kaosar h.

Yelp
DO NOT GO THERE!! I went there to pick an online order. The food was supposed to be ready in 25min. I was there around 30min later. They said it'll take 10min more. I went back 15min later. Again they said 2 min more so went back after 5 min. This time without any reason they acted extremely rude and told me to cancel the order. Worst experience ever. Never feel such kinda disrespectful on any other restaurant.

Yelp
I've been to the San Marcos location many times over the years, so when I saw they had a second location, I became excited (though I chose the pho place that visit instead). I love the potato and pea samosas, and always start my meal with them. They come with three sauces: one sweet, one spicy and one I think is a creamy cilantro. Odd thing I don't remember is that they dressed the plate with balsamic vinegar. It wasn't necessary but made for a nice presentation. Now if I had just stayed with the samosas, my star rating would have been higher. For my main, I ordered the mahi mahi masala, spice level 3. I was too full to eat it there so I just ate the already wilted salad and packed up the rest to-go. I tried to finish the entree 3-4 times over the next day, but it was just too salty. Even the rice and naan couldn't cut the saltiness. Sadly, and this is only the 2nd time I've ever done this, I threw away the rest of my food. I just couldn't figure out how to salvage it. Service was incredible! He was super kind and patient even when dealing with picky customers (they made him clean the table they chose, then they decided they didn't want to be under the speaker and demanded to be moved). Overall, I will definitely come back for the samosas. Pros: - nice al fresco dining set up - samosas - service - food portions - fairly inexpensive - lots of parking Cons: - wilted salad - entree waaaay too salty

Mona T.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in Rancho Bernardo for Indian lunch specials. The curry you pick will come with rice, 1 naan, lentil soup (dal) and salad. The servers are always very nice and ambiance is also very pretty.

Yelp
Make sure you give a temperature for the heat !!! Excellent experience, service and food..

Yelp
Went here on a Thursday night for the first time and the food and service was incredible! the samosas, chicken tikka masala, and coconut chicken curry were all amazing! Service was fast and efficient and waiter was very friendly. The food tasted so delicious and very fresh! We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The service was good and the food was excellent. We used a 3 for the hot meter and the flavor was perfect. I would recommend this restaurant and will be back.

Yelp
If I could give ZERO stars I would. Today, we came in around 2:25pm ordered food for dine in we were one of the two parties in the entire restaurant. We wanted to order the saag paneer and was told it is the palak paneer to which we replied ok will take that one. When it came out the cheese was cold and it was so sour. The chicken tikka masala was good but on the saltier side. Mid eating the waiter came and ask if we need anything to go. We said not yet we are still working on it mind you this is about 20 mins +/- after receiving our food. He replies because we are closed from 3-4pm. I ask are they kicking us out? He goes no, but .. I told my husband and kids to quickly wrap it up and told hubby to get the to go container. The staff gave him the ugliest look. They should have told us when we came in that they break before dinner service. Family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kiddos under 6.5 and under). I have never in my entire life got treated like that. As we packed up the waiter post a hand written sign that they are closed and will reopen at 4:30pm. Imagine from sit down, ordering to finishing was under one hour and when we got back into our car loaded kids and pull away clock shows 3:02pm... The waiter and staff look so unhappy. This would be the last time we come to be patrons.

Yelp
Where has this place been all my life?? I have passed this restaurant at least a 1000 times, and never noticed it. It's in a strip mall with some other pretty cool places nearby (I'm looking at you Golden spoon.) But when a foodie friend recommended it...I had to go. I'm soooo glad I did. I absolutely loved this place. It was a rainy weekday and I noticed most orders were to go. However, I recommend eating there. The food came out piping hot and so flavorful! We ordered the Naan bread with goat cheese as an appetizer. It was so delicious. For my main entree I ordered saag paneer with potatoes. The saag paneer was fresh and so yummy I wanted to lick the plate. It was a lot of food and I only ate half, but it was really good warmed up the next day. The servers were efficient and attentive. What I noticed right away was the cleanliness. It was spotless at every turn. The floor, walls, tables....all of it was incredibly clean! I will be back for sure!!

Yelp
I wish we had known about this sooner because it is fantastic. Who knew this was in RB? The flavors were perfect and delicious. We were there on a Monday night and they were playing nice jazz music. The service was excellent, the food was brought out quickly, and the waiter was really responsive. Everything was really clean. There seemed to be quite a variety of food to choose from. The heat scale is 1-10. Again I will say that the seasoning was just perfect and interesting. My only complaint is that the steak knives were pretty terrible. When we come back, and we sure will, I will bring my own knife. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
One of my favorite Indian restaurant in town. Their Tandorri chicken wing was so delicious. Even the stir fried onion and peppers underneath was very good. I also like their lamb curry and chicken masala. All the sides were tasty as well.

Yelp
Food was delish at Curry and More! Easy parking, attentive staff and good experience overall at this restaurant. First time trying an Indian restaurant. I ordered an 8 level spicy and the food wasn't even spicy.
