The 13 Best New Restaurants In Nashville - Nashville - The Infatuation

"We need more Thai and Texas BBQ mashups in our life. Enter: Curry Boys. They just opened in East Nashville in the old Lou space, pumping out hot links covered in queso and brisket bowls with shreddy meat floating in curry. It’s a fast-casual operation and our new go-to for a late lunch, casual dinner, or a round of whiskey and thai lemonade cocktails on the patio. They’re coming from San Antonio, so there’s some real Texas BBQ pedigree happening here. The grind on the snappy hot links strikes the balance between not too smooth and not too grainy, and the brisket has a smoke ring as thick as a stalk of lemongrass." - ann walczak, jackie gutierrez jones 2, adam sloan, carlo mantuano, jackie gutierrez jones 2, jackie gutierrez jones 2, carlo mantuano, adam sloan, ann walczak, ann walczak, ann walczak, jackie gutierrez jones 2

Nashville’s New Restaurant Openings - Nashville - The Infatuation

"After a controversial choice to coat the former Lou craftsman house in a shade that can be best described as “Pepto Bismol,” Curry Boys is finally here with their blend of Texas barbecue and Thai cuisine. The fast-casual spot, with two locations in San Antonio, is putting out things like oak-smoked brisket, chicken thighs, and sausages slathered in queso." - jackie gutierrez jones 2

The 11 Best BBQ Spots In Nashville - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Curry Boys, a Texas BBQ spot with a penchant for Thai flavors, is a fast-casual operation that comes to us from San Antonio. The grind on the snappy hot links strikes the balance between not too smooth and not too grainy, and the brisket has a smoke ring as thick as a stalk of lemongrass. The curry queso here is also legit—it couldn’t be more different than the gloopy stuff that resembles Elmer’s glue from other Tex-Mex joints around town. Your best bet is to come for an early lunch or dinner, hopefully beating out the crowd and staking your claim on some of that brisket. The sellout risk is pretty high, and there’s nothing sadder than being late to the brisket party." - jackie gutierrez jones 2

A Thai and Texas BBQ mashup that’s worthy of Lou’s old space - Review - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Curry Boys, a Texas BBQ spot with a penchant for Thai flavors, is a fast-casual operation that’s become our new go-to for a late lunch, casual dinner, or a round of whiskey and thai lemonade cocktails on the patio. It comes to us from San Antonio, so there’s some real Texas BBQ pedigree happening here. The grind on the snappy hot links strikes the balance between not too smooth and not too grainy, and the brisket has a smoke ring as thick as a stalk of lemongrass. The curry queso here is legit—it couldn’t be more different than the gloopy stuff that resembles Elmer’s glue from other Tex-Mex joints around town. It’s thick and sports just the right hue of Velveeta yellow with earthy notes of curry spice. photo credit: OysterCat Media The line can get pretty serious here, sometimes stretching out past the doors and onto the walkway. Your best bet is an early lunch or dinner, hopefully beating out the crowd and staking your claim on some of that brisket. The sellout risk is pretty high, and there’s nothing sadder than being late to the brisket party. East Nashville’s beloved brunch and wine hangout spot Lou left some pretty big shoes to fill. We were skeptical that any successor could fill the verlasso-egg-shaped hole in our heart. Turns out, great queso goes a long way. Food Rundown Curry Queso & Chips When it comes to consistency, we like our queso thick—it shouldn’t feel like you’re trying to scoop up milk. Blessedly, Curry Boys falls in the former category, rich and golden with a warm hint of curry spices swirled in. This is the new standard for queso in Nashville. The Missing Link The satisfying snap of the smoked pork sausage here is probably one of the best textural things happening here. And while the rice almost feels superfluous in this bowl, you soon realize it’s soaking up all of that rich and creamy penang curry. You might even wish they’d added a little bit more. Brisket Smoke Show We’re not sure what we like more, the subtly sweet green curry sauce marinating the brisket and rice in the bowl, or the tender, oak-smoked prime brisket itself. Let’s call it a draw, because these two were clearly meant to be together. photo credit: Curry Boys Curry Creamed Corn This is a solid version of creamed corn. They’ve sprinkled some curry powder on top, but it doesn’t make a huge impact in terms of taste. It’s fine, but other sides here deserve your attention. Cheesecake The dessert can change on a whim here, but both the yuzu and ube versions of the cheesecake should make their way into your order. The yuzu brings a bright, juicy note to the creamy cake, while the ube is smoother and sweeter. photo credit: OysterCat Media" - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

I was unsure what to think approaching this place at first, but the locally-owned-home-style, high quality vibe of this place is fantastic and is reflected by the service and the food here. I’m sorry I don’t remember your name dude (the guy on the photos who served us) but if your manager sees this, you deserve a raise for helping to make my birthday awesome. That desert y’all see in the photos was complimentary as a birthday gift and it was so good! I was also surprised and impressed with how legit the taste of the curry was for a more western themed restaurant. I’ve had a lot of curry in the legit style of the East Indies and this place does it very well in comparison. The spice level and flavor was for perfect!

A great option for a unique BBQ crossover experience. I wanted something beyond the crowds, over hyped and touristy bbq places. This is it. My brisket with green curry was fantastic. Indoor and outdoor seating. Very reasonable prices. Try the Thai lemonade! I love the bright building and all the quirks.

Fun bright atmosphere. Brandan at the counter where you order the food was nice. He was also helpful with describing various things on the menu. I had the Brisket Smoke Show Curry. The dish was great. The brisket was fork tender & had a great flavor that paired well with curry sauce. The rice was flavorful & cooked perfectly. Can’t wait to try this place again

Restaurant has an indoor area, but really enjoyed the outdoor patio. Food did not disappoint. Curry is super flavorful. Brisket is very tender, and highly recommend the bowl with rice. 🍚 look forward to coming back already. Servers are very helpful with any questions, and food comes out quickly. 10/10

I stopped in at Curry Boys BBQ for the first time today, and wow — this place absolutely blew me away. I had The Tony Porker with a Thai tea, and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The smoked pulled pork was perfectly tender and flavorful, and the Penang curry tied everything together beautifully — rich, bold, and packed with just the right amount of spice. The Thai tea was also excellent — creamy, refreshing, and the perfect complement to the dish. The staff was friendly, the food came out quickly, and the whole vibe of the place felt welcoming and laid-back. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the ingredients and the flavors here. If you love barbecue, curry, or just want something different and seriously delicious, you need to give this place a try. I’ll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu!

Absolutely incredible as always! From the minute I walked in Aaron greeted me with a smile and made some amazing recommendations for the menu! Best lunch I’ve had all year! Came with a friend who had never been here before and he was blown away! Our food was ready quickly and brought out by Phillip! The hospitality here is second to none! Thank you for adding such an experience to east Nashville! I’ll be back very soon!

Ribs and cheesecake were great. Everything else looked good and folks in my party seemed happy. I didn't love love the curry potato salad. It wasn't bad, but I could barely taste the curry. Presented as regular potato salad with a slightly different color. Hard pass for $5.50 per scoop. Get there early. Small kitchen, limited indoor seating. Line out the door by 6pm on a Saturday. They have patio seating as well. Very small lot for compact cars only. Street parking available on some of the adjacent streets.

You gotta hit up Curry Boys BBQ when you're in Nashville! It's just 15 minutes east of downtown, and they've got this awesome Texas BBQ-Thai curry fusion thing going on. I got the Brisket Smoke Show Bowl, and the smoke flavor was amazing. The brisket was super tender and had the perfect amount of fat. The curry was rich and spicy, and I couldn't get enough. Their homemade pickles were a great addition to cut through the richness. They even gave us some free Ube Cheesecake to try, and it was so good! It had a cheesecake layer, a Thai sweet potato layer, and whipped cream. It wasn't too sweet, and it was the perfect size after the brisket and curry. The service was great, and the food came out fast and hot. I'm definitely going back next time I'm in Nashville.

Yelp
I was so excited for this place to open up because they were so good in Texas and I'm so glad it has made its way here to Nashville. What better than a bbq Thai infusion?! Brisket smoke show with noodles - this was the showstopper!! The brisket in green curry just came apart with the fork and it was so juicy and tender. The curry was really good. I highly recommend this with egg noodle ($1 more) because it just blended in so well becoming like a curry noodle soup. Curry corn - must get as a side!!! I could drink the sauce. Super delicious and rich in flavor. My friends got the good luck cluck which is yellow curry chicken and that was pretty good too, a tad of spice. For the pulled pork nachos, it was loaded with pork. We didn't get a lot of curry queso on the nachos so we asked for more curry and the guy was so kind to drizzle some more for us.

Yelp
We have been eagerly awaiting the Curry Boys BBQ opening and are stoked that it's here! The whole place is themed nicely and theres a nice back patio that doubles as a prep area which provides a fun place to eat your meal. You can watch some of the action that goes into creating these awesome dishes! The lovely human taking orders was incredibly knowledgeable on what was being served and was able to give great recommendations as well as answer my groups many questions about different menu items. All of our food was flavorful and delicious! The brisket was tender, mushroom haters at the table were eating mushrooms voluntarily, and I couldn't keep others utensils out of my bowl of corn which was collectively the tables favorite item. Everyone in our group had one small downside in common which was that we all ran out of curry way before rice, and not due to lack of trying to ration each bite. Although I believe the default should be balanced enough to get you through, they do offer an option to purchase extra curry which we will consider in the future. All in all a fantastic trip and first impression. I am excited to seeing the communities reaction to this new bite! I look forward to trying their signature sausage recipe next time we go which will be very soon!!

Yelp
Staff was 10/10 super nice and attentive. Menu was short and simple I went with the chicken option and my boyfriend did the most popular brisket. My chicken wasn't as spicy as I'd like but will definitely be back and will have to add in the chili for an extra kick. I opted for the noodles vs rice for the extra $1. In my opinion definitely good, but I tried my boyfriend's rice and it was equally delicious so whatever your preference is you'll win here. Two curries cost over $40 with a tip so definitely a bit on the pricey side but so is life in 2025. A cute east Nashville addition I'm excited to visit again!

Yelp
Finally someone comes to Tennessee who knows how to cook a brisket! My gf and I came here with high standards (her being Asian and me a Texas BBQ fanatic) and this place absolutely delivered in all respects. Everything was delicious and the people working here are really nice. We'll definitely be back.
