This place is wonderful. Eat here tomorrow, now. Great staff. The food is great. Place is clean. Even the bathrooms are lovely. I love the channa masala and the naan. Don't ask for your food to be hot if you can't handle real heat. They can bring the heat. I can handle it because I am a man. I am currently working on a movie script right now about my wife and I eating here. It will be a very mental political thriller that explores both our current hostil political climate and the amazing food you will enjoy if you are smart enough to eat here. Be smart. Watch my movie while eating this food. The food will be so good you might think my movie is good as well.

Been going here for 16 years. Food was delicious. Best Indian I've ever had. Owners sold and the new owner changed the recipes and kept the same name for the dishes. Its horrible and taste bland and watery. Not sure why they changed the recipe. This place has had 1000s of loyal customers and from reading the reviews they are losing them fast. Such a shame.

Google
Very disappointed! What happened to this place?! New owners? Cost of goods too high? I’ve been a regular for 7+ years and I’ve never been so disappointed with my meal. I was in disbelief and even came back later that week hoping it would be better. Portion sizes are significantly smaller, and the food is just watery and bland. I always get Chana Masala or Chicken Makhni and it’s never yellow… I asked the waiter if I got the wrong dish, and he insisted it was correct. The flavor is completely different. It’s not makhni or masala (no tomato base at all) it was yellow curry! Bland too! Additionally it realllyyyy upset my stomach. It’s really a shame how fast Curry N Kebob went downhill. Not the same anymore, and I’m really sad about it. I hope one day they can return back to normal.

Google
A go to counter-serve place for lunch. The atmosphere is great, and Santos is friendly. I like the variety of food I can get for the price, and there are several good vegetarian options. Between last year and a month ago the food quality declined a bit, but I have noticed improvements in the last month.

Google
WHAT HAPPENED to our go-to Boulder Indian place!!??! Portions are smaller, selection is limited, and, worst of all the food is totally lacking the rich authentic spices and curries that used to set this place apart. My wife got the vegan dahl which was watery, and I got the chicken curry which tasted like a bad spiceless mid-western chicken soup. The tiny onion blossom is golf-ball sized instead of the old pool ball we used to love. We've been coming here for years and now probably won't come back.

Jennie K.

Google
The food here use to be good and now lacks flavor. The chicken was dry. The raisins and almonds in the korma were invisible. The lamb tasted old. The rice was very dry. The naan was dry. I’ve gone to this place for years and now will not go again. Incredibly disappointed!!!

Jon S.

Google
This was my go to for a long time, but the food HAD decreased in quality. Under the new ownership, however, this place is back in the game! The chicken masala was good, and the tofu saag was the best I’ve had in a long time. Santos was cordial and helpful. I’ll be back.

Ryan S.

Google
Great tasting food. I ordered extra spicy chicken masala. I was not disappointed. It really was spicy.

Yelp
We've been coming here for the last 9 years, and unfortunately I think the chapter is over. I think they must be under new owners, it seems like all the recipes have changed, we ordered our normal order tonight and all 4 items tasted completely different than normal, new ingredients/spices, everything. Sad to see it change and not in a good way. The old recipes are 5 stars, these are not. Nice staff but sad to see the food change

Yelp
I've been deprived of good Indian food for so long that I needed my fix as soon as I landed. I am now addicted to this restaurant and will have to stop myself from eating here everyday lol. My family and I ordered 2 dinner specials and split it amongst us, and it was perfect. Although, if I'm really hangry, I may have to get my own lunch or dinner special, but the single entree. We ordered the medium spice level for everything and it was perfect, not too spicy and not too mild. The guy who took my order said that the mild was actually mild--every restaurant is different so I felt like I needed to ask. The interior was more spacious than I thought and I liked how they had a selection of booths and chairs--we opted for the chairs since there was a screaming toddler in the booth area when we first arrived. Prices were decent considering the amount of food you get, not to mention, the quality was amazing. Clean interior and friendly staff. I've gotten so used to the terrible meals and ridiculously expensive prices in Hawaii, so this dining experience was such a breath of fresh air. Highly recommend, I think we'll be regulars from now on!

Yelp
Stopped with my wife and we both got the Lunch Specials... cam back the next day for dinner. I great spot, flavor is excellent, I hope to eat here a couple more time before we leave. 5 stars...

John P.

Yelp
We've been coming here for years and used to love it, but now... something seems to have changed. The food is not as good, it lacks flavor and looks completely different than it did a year ago. Sad. Used to be one of our favorites but now I doubt we will be coming again.

Yelp
Wow we used to love Curry N Kebab and over the last 3 years its gone downhill and been so hit and miss. Tonight was unfortunately just awful. The Vindaloo was very watery and lacking texture, depth, and had no veggies. Im thinking maybe because it was Monday they skimped but thats no excuse... it was bland watery and plain bad.

Kelly D.

Yelp
Go to restaurant no more - not safe to eat here! New owners and the quality is downright dangerous. I hadn't been here for quite a while and I was craving their chicken makhani. I called my daughter and we met there. I had the chicken makni and she had the pick two of makni and mutter. It wasn't the same. Curry flavor overwhelmed what used to be an incredibly delicious dish. Next day I woke up with a stomach ache and had to run to the john - multiple times. I texted my daughter and she had been up since 2 am with the same issue. 24 hours and we are still feeling the effects. New owners and quality is now bad and may make you sick. Never had this problem in the many years of eating there. We had an early lunch and maybe the chicken was left over from the day before and not properly refrigerated. So sad, this was a favorite, but I'll never go back.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Wow. We've been coming to Curry n' Kebab since they opened. 10+ years. Sad to say our meal tonight was not good. I instantly realized they must be under new ownership. Recipes are not the same but not just that, every dish was off. The chicken marsala was completely bland and we received the most comical portion with mostly sauce and barely any chicken. On the flip side, the sag was so salty that it was inedible. The vegetable samosas were a bit soggy and the filling tasted very off...like maybe going bad off. Heartbroken to say we will not be back.

Yelp
We are visitors from Texas and were craving some good Indian food so decided to try Curry N kebob takeout. First off, the workers were so friendly and probably some of the best customer service. I made a mistake when ordering but they were so nice and accommodating. Second off, the food hit the spot!!! The fried onion and chicken masala curry were so delicious. Also we loved that everything was so reasonably priced compared to other restaurants we have tried around the resort towns. Will have to come back here next time we are in town!

Cody C.

Yelp
Ever since Santos the new manager took over this place has become better than it already was . asthetics and customer service have gone up. good job brother

Yelp
We came here this morning before opening and then decided to run errands all day and come back for an early dinner. We had a little trouble parking but finally a spot opened up around 5:30 on Wednesday which we snagged. We ordered the special dinner plates, one with just chicken masala and the other dinner special had kabocha squash and chicken curry and chana saag. Both plates were beautifully plated, piping hot and absolutely delicious. I can't wait to return, to take out orders and to tell others about the quality of the food. You need to try it and I am sure that you will agree that this place is special and the best Indian in Boulder County. The owners and staff and so welcoming to boot. Great formula for fast, casual Indian. I read the review 2 1/2 weeks ago citing the surly staff. We didn't experience that at all- in fact the opposite. We ordered medium spice level and the spice level was perfect. May try to ask for medium plus the next go around.

K C.

Yelp
I've been a customer of this restaurant for many many years and I'm sad to say that now that it has changed ownership, the food is terrible. The restaurant even smells weird. I'm really sad that what used to be my favorite Indian restaurant in Boulder no longer exists. :

Yelp
Words can't describe the feeling you get after eating at this establishment. I have probably been here over 20 times this year alone, and notably have never had a single complaint. The food is seasoned with spices that should be in a damn museum. Not only is the food incredible, but it comes out within 10 minutes max. The workers are amazing, and will give recommendations. After my most recent visit, as I thought curry and kebab couldn't satisfy anymore, my favorite song started playing. It was a religious experience, and I will forever return.

Maggie L.

Yelp
flavorless and inedible. this place used to be good but was so bad the last time i got it that i actually had to drive back to return the food and ask for a refund.

Yelp
This used to be my go too spot when I sold beer up in Boulder like 6 years ago. Sadly I don't often find myself in boulder anymore so when my husband suggested meeting me for lunch here last week it was a no brainer. The food here really is phenomenal! Menu is small which allows them to really perfect the options they offer. Great value as you get a ton of naan, a lot of rice, a huge portion of whatever you select and a crispy onion app. They also recently just started allowing you to choose two options which is even better. I love getting a meat and veggie so this was perfection. I really love Curry n Kebab and should make a point of driving up to boulder more often so I can keep supporting them. If anyone is worth it they are!

Yelp
This place is amazing! We actually pulled up to eat at AliBaba but read reviews for this place & switched gears. We had the chicken korma & lamb korma (cooked hot) and let me tell you...this is my new fave Indian dish!!! WOW!!! So good! We will be back next time we are in Boulder. Thanks for a great meal. I didn't find the service to be anything special but the food IS!
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
I gave Curry n Kebob a 4 star review before but I have to say, after having the lunch special here again ($11), I have to bump it up to 5 stars. Is it the most amazing Indian food you'll have? No. But for the price, I'd be surprised if one can find a better deal. Just a tip for spicy food lovers, the hot spice level here did not strike me as spicy at all. Very hot is the way to go!
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
I really enjoy good Indian Food, but what I got today was watered down Chicken Vindaloo, watered down Daal soup, and very dry Garlic naan. Very disappointed because this place used to be very good. My advice based on today's experience is AVOID.... There are much better Indian restaurants in Boulder.
google avatar

Saddy A.

Yelp
Don't be fooled by the price. If you are from Indian sub continent please don't visit this place. Biriyani was a joke - it was more like khichdi.
google avatar

Brent V.

Yelp
Tonight my sister and I meet and dined in here. I really liked their dine in special where you and get two entrees and then it comes with rice and sides. Food came out very quick. Very tasty. Good spice level. Only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because they were out of all the flavors in their soda machine but they were nice and gave us bottled sodas.

Nick F.

Yelp
I'm not a huge Indian food lover but... That #1 lunch special whatever Chicken Makni is better than any type of curry i've had (also the pineapple a niche touch and garlic naan)
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in while visiting family in Boulder. Great menu with plenty of vegetarian options and the staff are very knowledgeable on what is vegetarian and what is vegan. We split a bunch of dishes to include Chana Masala, bindi masala and some tofu saag. All were outstanding with the few we ordered hot arriving with a good amount of heat, perfect. Great depth of flavor. The naan was well above average and our specials arrived with some samplers of dahl and some sweet cut up pineapple. Plenty of food, we ordered apps but it wasn't necessary. I do wish I could have had a beer with dinner but they don't serve.

Kyla W.

Yelp
We thought the service was great! food was excellent, we loved that the entrees were served with lots of different items to sample. super adaptable for vegans as well!
google avatar

Rick T.

Yelp
The food is great but the staff is always really surly. Not sure what they're so mad about.
google avatar

Aundya A.

Yelp
Great food deals. Loved eating here after climbing. Their chicken tikka was my favorite!

Zak G.

Yelp
5 stars! This place reminds me of my travels in India, the amazing mixture of pure flavor and spice made me euphoric! The service was amazing as well, but my favorite part was the sugary pineapple in the center of my plate mmmmmm yum‼
google avatar

Robyn M.

Yelp
Dirty, wish I'd gone to the restroom first so I could see how they run the place. You know if the bathrooms are filthy then the kitchen could be too. The food might be good but I just couldn't get past that.
google avatar

Cynthia M.

Yelp
Simply a fire spot for indian food. Great prices, big portions, quick service, and bomb flavors. We typically dine in and they serve it in traditional big platters. A lot of vegetarian options as well.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
This is a decent, extremely casual, place for a curry. They rarely to never change the menu and they have two varieties of dining: either buy their lunch/dinner combo plates or order a la carte off their menu. The combo plates include rice, your chosen entree, one pakora style munchie thing, and pineapple (tho, pro-tip: you can ask for rice pudding instead) If you go the combo plate route, nothing ever changes in their offerings. They have a sort of side "monthly whatever" deal, but I never see anything especially interesting. I think this business has basically found its routine and groove and isn't about that foodie life of change and growth. But hey, why change what isn't broken?? Sure I would like to see something new on the menu but I am down for some serious eating when I want my sweet potato curry combo plate. FOR REAL. I love that my son loves their food. It can be challenging at times to get a toddler (now kid) to get into curries, but this place makes everything in a mild flavor profile when you ask for it, so my kid loves the food here. I have to admit to being slightly partial to their pakora bhajii? I dunno what its called when I am writing this, but they take super thinly sliced onions and batter them up and deep fry them and with chutney its insanely tasty. LOVE THEM. They have an order-at-the-counter system, and tables and some booths inside that are first come, first serve. They have a strong take out business so that's an option too. Parking is limited, but not impossible which is great. If you fancy a curry, definitely come here!

Tony W.

Yelp
This is our go to for Indian food when in Boulder. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Lucretia H.

Yelp
It's been about a year since I've been in here and it will be my last! 1) weeks came in for the lunch menu. Two entrees for $9.99. I put in my order and said it was the lunch special asking questions and getting answers from the cashier. The guy tried to charge me $27 and when I asked why he said because I was ordering two entrees but I said it was the lunch special. And he tried to argue me with me and I had to be very strong about it. Not ok!!! 2) the music was insanely loud 3) the food tasted like it was made with cheap ingredients and had been sitting for awhile. 4) the soda fountain was dirty and mostly out of order. The water glasses smelled gross. It took me going through several before I found one that wasn't gross. 5) the cashier seemed shady. He has horrible customer service. He alone made the experience bad. I won't be going back. Too bad because it once was a place I went t to often. Maybe ownership changed. I have no clue how this place get 4 stars. I guess I have had good Indian food and good service at other locations that just makes this place bad in every area!!

Yelp
Another one bites the dust. This one died hard. I requested the Vegan option (+coconut milk) for all dishes and paid the extra $1 per dish. Even added "VEGAN please" in the order comments. Unclear if my order was actually made to be non-dairy. The receipt showed the coconut milk add-on for only 2 dishes (out of 3). Sometimes, it shows the non-dairy option for just 1 (out of 3+ dishes). I've noticed this in the past, but didn't think much of it. Like I was trying to justify what I just ate. And hey, the staff is working hard and taking risks to feed the community during COVID. But still... it kept nagging at me. (Maybe this order receipt isn't what the kitchen actually sees? Maybe they don't list the +coconut milk option for each dish? But how else would they note this? And why is it inconsistent? And what if I were seriously allergic to dairy? What then?) When I asked about this, I've been given limited/vague responses. "Yes, yes." "No problem." "OK, coconut milk." Now I'm just so skeptical, I won't be going back. Too bad -- given that Curry n Kebob has been one of our go-to places for Indian takeout. Take-home message: IF REQUESTING NON-DAIRY, DOUBLE CHECK WITH THE STAFF WHEN YOU PICK UP. (Or... just Don't.)

Yelp
One of the worst Indian restaurants I have been to thus far in Boulder!.. Ordered a veggie korma no tofu and plain non-. Pretty basic order. The non-was flat and so awful! Korma was pale white. Nothing special. Never would go back

Bruce C.

Yelp
The food was outstanding good heat, flavor and a nice size portion also. You don't go for the ambiance.

Jared J.

Yelp
C & K is the best. I stop by here perhaps embarrassingly often - I just can't get enough of the delicious food, friendly staff, and exceptional prices. Great for a post-workout meal, and you will *not* leave hungry. My especial thanks to the staff, who -- among all of the other alluring reasons to visit -- make eating here a joy.
google avatar

Shihan K.

Yelp
Terrible food quality. Full with food colour & watery gravy. I wish I could give 0* review. Naans are super hard, and oily They even provided canned pineapple fruit. Gross :( Total waste of money

Ali L.

Yelp
My best friend in high school was from Sri Lanka. We'd go to her house after school and have curry or whatever her mother had cooking. I can't eat food as spicy as I used to, but I love the authentic flavors at Curry n Kabob. I usually get the Chicken Masala, with a side of Saag. Wonderful! I've had their curry and I think it's more soupy than in Ceylon... it's more like Thai Curry. But that's NOT a complaint! It's delightful A quick story: I used to take my elderly mother to lunch there. When she came in the restaurant, the staff would practically bow to her. They made sure she was welcomed, even while we were last in line. Their cultural focus on respecting & caring for the elderly was heartfelt. I still cherish those memories!
google avatar

Renaissance M.

Yelp
I cannot stress enough how amazing this place is: perfect price, excellent food, and the staff is jovial and remembers you. I typically have a problem with restaurants not making things spicy enough, and, after 2 visits, they realized I was not joking when I said "If I'm crying, you are doing it right." #SpiceLord Since then, my wife and I have been regulars, and the food has continued to amaze. These guys are also very allergen friendly. I hope these guys continue to stay in business and grow. Couldn't wait to dig in, so the food is already partly eaten in the photo, sorry.
google avatar

Thao T.

Yelp
This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Boulder. I usually get the #1. If you like it spicy, definitely get it hot or extra hot. It doesn't make the dish super spicy just gives it a nice kick. I love dining in with them instead of doing take out because you also get this deep fried onion, small sample of soup(?), and some canned pineapple for dessert with your meal. The fried onion with the green sauce is my favorite. My only complaint is that the naan could be better.
google avatar

Danny L.

Yelp
After reading all the good reviews, I expected much better food. The chicken masala ($10.95 - Dinner Meal) was not very impressive. The meat was a little dry and the sauce lacked a depth of flavor - much of which strayed far from authentic. I felt like a lot of the spices were turned down several notches. Overall, it was ok and put food in my stomach but I couldn't understand why there were so many people eating here during the night that we went. I only came to Colorado to visit so maybe the local flavor is not what I'm accustom to. As for the naan, it tasted like it came from a pre-made packet. Mine was a bit hard and didn't have the right texture. It reminded me of pita bread. On a positive note, the portion was decent and the value was good. Our dinner was served in a large metal dish that included sides such as rice, naan, this deep fried thing, and pineapple chunks. I don't think I finished my rice. If you are looking for authentic Indian food, I wouldn't recommend this place.
google avatar

Scott R.

Yelp
The food is amazing; I love their naan and chicken masala. The staff are very friendly, and helped me fix a problem I had with an Uber eats order once when I couldn't fix it through Uber. It is a bit pricy, but I'll give 5 stars due to the quality of the food and service.

Yelp
Starved. Traveling by myself. I spotted this restaurant open at 9pm. They were closing and mostly doing last minute pick up orders; but they let me stay late and made me a mango lassee and this chicken tika masala plate. Very affordable and tasty! The guy even complimented me on my hair style, even though he could tell I was flustered. The bathroom was clean; and within 25 minutes I was refreshed and back on the road. Great quick stop in Boulder that's healthy food!

Madeline G.

Yelp
My husband and I use to come here and the Indian was super good for the price. Now I believe they have changed management the workers look different and the food is absolutely horrible. We don't waste food but this tasted like enchilada/ tomato paste soup and the naan was thick and no flavor and had nothing to it. This place went from good to horrible ! Would not recommend
google avatar

Josh S.

Yelp
Nope. It's not worth nearly $20 for this plus a cup o chai. I've been here before and thought it was alright, but today I feel ripped off and insulted. So maybe today was an off day in the kitchen? This tasted like ketchup with a couple shakes of store-bought curry powder. The veggies were raw, too. There were possibly three pieces of thinly shaved kabob. I could go on, but don't want to devote more time to this experience. Suffice it to say I could whip something better up myself with random scraps from my own fridge if I wasn't trying to take a break from work. Good luck if you step in for lunch. I've been more impressed. And now I'll have to keep hunting for decent Indian food in Boulder.

Yelp
We ordered the following items for two people for pickup: Garlic naan Cheese naan Onion baji Dal makhani Paneer masala Chicken masala Lots of white rice My partner absolutely loves dal makhani and was very excited about it, but we did find it quite bland in comparison to the same dish we've had in other places. We added some of our own spices and some salt to peek it up a bit The rest of it was very delicious and very filling! Some reviews said the naan wasn't too good, but we found it delicious and quite nice. The texture of the paneer masala was a bit odd, but it was my first time trying it so I'm not sure how it would be compared to other versions of the dish. But the chicken masala was very very delicious and we definitely ate too much. Lol We did a pickup order through the Yelp app, but I was a bit concerned so I called them half an hour before it was to be ready to check that everything was fine. The staff on the phone and in-person were both courteous and understanding, and our order was ready ahead of time, and we saw many many orders laid out and ready to go along with ours. The restaurant is following good social distancing for COVID from what I saw, and the in-person staff member made sure to double-check our order before he gave it to us, which we were surprised by but appreciated. The price was extremely reasonable, we ordered plenty to have our fill plus leftovers, most everything tasted good, and we spent quite a bit less than we expected! All in all we were quite satisfied with all of it except for the dull dal makhani, but we may eat here again. Hopefully it was a one-off night for that dish.

Yelp
Reasonable prices, usually food comes quick. Like the Naan. Lots of good lunch options.

Yelp
Our favorite go to resto in Boulder Food is excellent Chai is always hot and fresh Tandoori or vegan options can't go wrong.. Highly recommend for lunch specials or dinner

Yelp
I ordered #5, let me tell you this shit was busssin. I mean I wasn't THAT hungry when I came here but I ate more than I expected to it was so good. SO GOOD. The spicy flavor was nicely balanced amongst the peppers and onions only to be complimented with the perfectly made naan and rice! Also their service was also quite nice and I felt very welcomed upon entering, especially considering I came in 30 minutes before they were closing (i really wanted to try this place) I can't wait to come back with my friends ! :-)

Kyle M.

Yelp
Date of order: 01/28/2023, 6:30pm Type of order: delivery TLDR: nearly inedible, poor quality, and does not even attempt to be authentic. Do not order from this place. Avoid. I ordered three entrees and two sides of naan. The first entree was a "chicken tandoori kebob", but it was not recognizable in any way as a kebob or tandoori. There were no char marks or skewer holes to indicate it was ever roasted in a tandoor or even put on a skewer. It came in a styrofoam container that was tightly enclosed in plastic wrap to prevent leakage, and nonetheless the package leaked oil everywhere...but tandoori chicken is a dish that should not be oily in the slightest! The onions and peppers should be crispy, yet these were sodden as if they were cooked in a pot of soup. The chicken had none of the expected ruddy red hue that one expects from tandoori chicken, and had a flavor & texture much more similar to something stewed or steamed. The second dish was saag paneer. The saag itself was at least mostly spinach, but there was no spice flavor at all, nor was it creamy. The flavor was watery and had no punch. The paneer was characterless and added nothing to the dish. The third dish was "vegetable Ceylone", which the menu describes as "similar to the vegetable korma but with the coconut curry Ceylone sauce." While the veggies at least didn't taste frozen, they were overcooked to the point of mush. The curry sauce tasted like something sold out of a supermarket. This was something I could have made by buying a jar at Trader Joes and tossing it over a pack of veg. What's the point of spending $15+ on something you could easily make yourself at home (and doesn't taste very good anyways)? Both naan orders were bland but passable, although the garlic naan had no garlic flavor at all. Lastly, the rice was not at all fragrant and was, like many other things in this order, overcooked. Overall, this restaurant is not worth anyone's time or money. You will leave disappointed, irritable, and worse of all, hungry.

Leah J.

Yelp
I've eaten here at least 100 times and i can't remember ever having a bad experience either with my food or the service. The daily special deals always include some vegetarian and vegan options as well as chicken.
