Where to Eat and Drink in the Domain

"The lauded California South Asian chain restaurant made its way into Austin this year, bringing its strong array of Indian snacks like pani puri and chaats, naan pizzas, burritos, and more. Pickup and delivery orders can be placed online; there are indoor dine-in services." - Erin Russell

San Francisco Indian Restaurant Curry Up Now Opens in Austin - Eater Austin

"San Francisco Indian chain restaurant Curry Up Now quietly opened its first Austin location this summer. The 3100 Esperanza Crossing, Suite 130 restaurant in the Domain Northside opened in early July. The menu includes chaats, burritos, thalis, and loaded naans, among other dishes. The new restaurant appears to have taken over a location of salad chain Mad Greens, which closed sometime in 2021. Its hours are from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and then from 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. Takeout and delivery orders can be placed online; there are indoor dine-in services." - Nadia Chaudhury

This was our first time trying Curry Up Now. The staff were very friendly and helpful with making choices. We were able to sample the lamb, which we have been avoiding after some unfavorable experiences from other restaurants. The sample changed our minds and we ended up ordering the Naughty Naan with lamb. It was the star of our order! We also had the El Jefe without guac and the Tandoori chicken sandwich. The flavors were good all around. Definitely would visit again! Added bonus: each order comes with one cup of free Chai 😊

Love that there's a nice halal indian place centrally located inside the domain. With ample seating space, courteous staff, and a wide variety of Indian street food on the menu to choose from, this place is a must visit. Granted that the taste may be more tuned for the international/non indian crowd as per other comments and reviews, but they still manage to offer that authentic touch in all their entrees. The staff is some of the friendliest I have seen in an Indian restaurant. Kudos to the curry up team. On to the food now, we ordered the deconstructed samosa chaat, a thali, chicken nuggets, hakka noodles, and pani poori. Everything was amazing. Love that the place has enough space to seat a large crowd. Loved the vibe and the music!

Google
I will never ever suggest this place for egg fried rice and egg noodles I ordered both of them and the taste of it is very bad no salt and spice at all , even after mentioning the spice level Not only spice level food seems spoiled I can smell foul smell coming from rice and noodles Food is very bad I am never going to visit this place again. Egg is not cooked properly and there are all raw vegetables in food Worst experience. Waiter was kind enough to replace the noodles with another one ,it tasted bad too

I came with a group of girls and it was their first time trying authentic desi Indian street food and they LOVED it!! The pani puri and chaat are to die for. The staff were SO NICE and accommodating and even gave us saunf ( mouth fresher fennel seeds ) when we asked. The portions are also big and so they are worth the price.

Google
This was located in the most happening place called Domain. We have ordered chicken tikka masala burrito, samosa and pani puri. Three of them tastes good. Ambience was great, staff were friendly, seating was good they have outside spacing as well and order wait time is less. This place becoming rush in the evenings.

Google
We decided to try this place and it did both disappoint. We were reluctant for a while because thought it would be mostly all fried fast food but they had many other choices. We had the baby samosas that were good but a bit pricey at $10 and the veggie platter which had three different options and a small dessert. Will go back soon to try more.

Google
Ordered the ProteinPower LyfeBowl. Riced cauliflower, lamb, chicken, avocado, pico, cucumber, cotija cheese, nuts. Quite tasty and good portions although the lamb was a little tough/dry. Flavors were delicious however, love the curry taste.

Google
Great and friendly staff, good and tasty food. The place is located in the center of the Domain. We ordered 'Death by Tikka Masala' thali and the taste was very good. Specially the Dal, it was simple yet tasty. I would recommend this fun place.

Yelp
Alright yall, I'm a huge fan of Indian food of all kinds, high end, street food and everything in between. I must say, this is my first visit to this place and this is the best Indian food I've had, Stateside. Apparently folks have experienced this place being hit or miss, but my experience today, they knocked it out of the park. It's counter-service, and the gentleman working the register was friendly and welcoming. Food came out quickly and fresh. The lady who brought the food to our table was also very friendly. Ambiance is super casual , but the food today was anything but! All the flavors were bold, well-developed and complex. We had their take on chicken 65, butter chicken biryani, and chole bhature. All three dishes were fantastic! The chicken 65 was super crispy, highly flavorful with a nice amount of spice. It was probably our favorite dish, but we loved all three. The biryani had the perfectly charred onions and aromatics that really make the dish. It was served with a delicious raita. The Chole came with some super fluffy fry-bread and some pickled eggplant that was unlike anything I've ever tried. Spicy and pickled and it was the perfect accompaniment to the warm spices in the chickpeas. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
This served as a nice snacking spot in between shopping and dinner. Our dinner wasn't until much later and I really wanted chat. The samosa chat comes with tiny samosas that look like dotted butter on a pie before you baking ... jk. But the samosas are really tiny and surround the chat. The fried paneer that is their version of ravioli is delicious paired with the sauce that would normally accompany butter chicken. If I am hungry and in the area I would definitely stop by. My favorite thing of the day while dining here was their $1 chai that comes with Parle-G. Nothing beats that nostalgic feeling of chai with those biscuits (tea crackers for all you folks who don't know about biscuits being the real g). Service was attentive. The decor is extreme pop art. The menu was a little hard to read but they also have menus by the cashier stand.

Yelp
Food was delish!! Portions are super generous too! The flavor was giving and the spice was on point!! I love Indian food and I love spice but I don't like it to over power my food... this spot got it just right! Service was pretty quick for a lunch time stop in... it took just a minute to take my order but it seemed liked the crew may have been catching up as I walked up... For an Indian "street food" stop I think the price point was a little high but it's expected in Austin these days... I didn't mind the $20 bowl, I took plenty home and the food was really good!

Yelp
Came in for a quick fill up while strolling the domain. Cool concept and vibes. Loved the artwork and decor. The food, was good, but nothing to rave about. Had the pani puri and some samosas! Both were good. But the samosas were a little lacking in filling imo. Also, I don't know what was going on but there were fruit flies everywhere around me. Kept having to swap them away. The place was clean so not sure what the deal was but it wasn't a comfy experience. Regardless, a cool spot to get a boost of flavor in you.

Yelp
Enjoyed my meal at Curry Up Now. I got the Butter Chicken (6/10), Itsy Bitsy Naan (7/10), and the Kulcha Naan (7/10). I've had better Indian food overall but the food here was pretty tasty. I would go back if I was in Austin.
google avatar

Rachel B.

Yelp
The portions were larger than expected. There is some heat to the no-spice-level indicated entrees. You can order at the counter to go or sit down at a table and order with your phone. The menu has beautifully-visual pictures and good descriptions for each dish. Our lamb burrito had no visible meat chunks (unlike the picture where you can see chunks of lamb meat in the burrito). It tasted like lamb-spiced rice, which tasted nice and flavored but we were missing the value of the meat in the huge rice burrito. I loved the chana garbanzo masala in our chicken masala bowl but felt like the fryums were an unnecessary colorful visual addition in the dish.

Yelp
Colorful and fun, with a good concept of quick-service sit down or takeaway Indian fusion. I just wish the food lived up to the fun ambience. Naan chips were so dry! Too dry to soak up any sauce. Like eating a cracker. The Butter Chicken Biryani was also disappointing and dry. The presentation was fun but the parchment wrapped rice and chicken was so dry, not enough sauce. I did like the spicy level! Just wish it was easier to enjoy but the dryness made it difficult. Not sure I would come back.

Yelp
Wanted a light lunch and Indian food did that. I had the khati roll which the naan egg combo was delicious with chicken. I'd get that again. Got the waffle fries and chose the tikka sauce vs ketchup which was addicting The bhel was nice and light and healthy with the chick peas and sweet sauce. You order via QR code on the table but service was quick and plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. I'd go back with my family to try more.

Yelp
I love the burrito concepts here. It is a bit expensive, but i appreciate Indian food who is patron by the Indian community. Says a lot.
google avatar

Sangita S.

Yelp
Always missing my drink in my delivery order. It's a pattern and there is never remediation for it by the owners

Yelp
Food is not great. It's a chain that has been great in other cities (Dallas), but here in Austin the food just isn't very good. The service was not good. There are signs saying to wait to be seated yet no host around to seat you. So you wait. There is no waiter. Just an app/online ordering system. And it's glitchy. If you go back to add items. It re-rings the entire order. Management said we would not be charged twice. And he would give us free chai for the issues. We were charged for the chai. And we were charged twice for the meal. We will never go back.

Yelp
I cannot believe I actually paid $7 for this tiny serving!!! Feel so robbed :(! I used to get the Daal Lentil Halwa from the CurryUP in San Francisco all the time but the serving was so much bigger. Pls do better

Yelp
I came here on a Friday night with my sister as my "welcome to Austin!" dinner. There are a lot of intriguing Indian-fusion items on the menu, including Indian-Mex with burritos, haha! I ended up getting the deconsructed samosa, which was essentially a large samosa broken up with all the filling surrounding four mini samosas. For an "appetizer", it was filling yet spicy! My sister got the keto bowl and garlic naan, and it was also a lot of food for her. But she was hungry enough for it, and enjoyed her meal entirely. I'd love to come back and try some of the other options on the menu. They are also super close to one of the parking garages at the Domain, so it makes it easy to get to!

Yelp
I've only been to the Oakland location, so I was DELIGHTED to find it is now in Austin!! I still live about 100 miles away, but it's totally worth a stop when I'm in town. Today's snack-meal was sexy fries with chicken (and yogurt bc I'm weak when it comes to spicy.) Mmmmmm yay!!
google avatar

Yelp
This was my friend and I's first time at the Domain and we came here because we were craving Indian. Overall, we really enjoyed it! The ambiance is nice, the staff were friendly, and our order was ready (relatively) quite promptly. Regarding the food, it was good. I wouldn't exactly say exceptional, but as far as Indian goes it was good and definitely scratched the Indian food itch. The Indian-Mexican mix on some of the items was particularly interesting, so kudos to that. I wasn't super impressed with the value (felt it was a bit expensive for the quantity that we received) but aside from that it was a good time!

Yelp
This fast casual Indian food restaurant has a hippy/ cool vibe but the food here is mediocre. I've been to this location multiple times, since I am a big fan of Indian cuisine ( and I love a fusion restaurant). They serve classic dishes like chicken tikka masala and butter chicken but also have indian food in burrito, pizza and fry forms. Their waffle fries can come with the chicken tikka sauce which is a winning combination! But unfortunately, this restaurant misses it's mark on the quality of the ingredients and the prices. For a lunch time Indian buffet, it will run you about $15-20 and you'll get a lot more variety. Here you can get one dish + a side and it will be about the same price as a buffet. Service is fast casual so think of chipotle but for Indian food. Overall, I wont return to this place. the prices are too high for the quality/quantity of the food.
google avatar

Fiona W.

Yelp
Good "fast food" take on Indian food! You order at the counter and seat yourself. The menu is quite extensive which takes a while to look through. There are so many options ranging from some fusion type dishes to some generic Indian dishes. The portion sizes are pretty large and 100% shareable. The food came out very quickly and was hot and fresh! We ordered, sat down and received our food within 5 minutes. For 2 people, we ordered the "Karl Bagh Kitty Party" Thali Plate as well as some mini samosas. This was more than enough food. Everything was good, but nothing special. We also had to try the $1 chai tea. For $1, it can't be beat.

Yelp
Great food and service. Highly recommend the Kathi roll, chicken quesadilla for kids and their biryanis. So so good.
google avatar

Warren N.

Yelp
Lively modern and clean atmosphere. The booths are immaculate and very comfortable. Beautiful presentation of food (it's exactly as photographed!) The flavors and textures are right (pungent, fragrant, complex: just the right amount of heat). Certainly made to order. The crispy samosa indicate the freshness. It's obvious the creator of this place is doing diligent QC. I got the deconstructed samosa bowl w paneer and it's scrum-diddly-umptious. I will certainly be back here whenever I'm in the area.

Inshal B.

Yelp
Visited this place in the domain today for the first time. Overall had a great experience. The food tasted good. We ordered the Samosa chaat, panjabi chicken 69, and the thali. Overall the food tasted well, the only one thing is the food don't come out hot. So wish the food was a lil warm. The chicken 69 was the best. So much flavor and overall a great dish. The service was great and staff was friendly and helpful!
google avatar

Erin M.

Yelp
Very authentic Indian food restaurant, this clearly was a locals favorite. We LOVED that they had thali platters!!! we've tried other Indian food restaurants that didn't know what they were! Love being able to try so many different things on one plate. Everything was super fresh and fast.

Yelp
1. Cashier didn't want to take my order. "Go sit down and use the QR code". 2. Offer of $5.00 discount for dine-in not delivered. ? why offer...? 3. Ordered on my phone; made mistakes. You'll see. 4. Ordered Ice Cream (sounded good). It was a child's portion. Comical. 5. Ice Cream came out first. What? Stupid. Plus, also stupid Ice Cream. 6. Food came out; but did _not_ look like the picture. Took 20 minutes. 7. Food was super salty and grissly. Fatty chicken in salt sauce. Still thinking about vacating it from my innards. 8. Forgive me, it is all my fault because I don't know how to order; apparently but combine kitch with fusion and you get this experience. 9. Not for me. Never again.

Yelp
Curry up now is a huge hit or a miss! Sometimes the food here is the best you'd have had and sometimes it is the worst thing. A friend of mine and I went back here recently, and I placed my order- waited for 20mins only to be told that the dough for Chole Bhature had gone bad. I'm glad that they told me it was bad, without serving me that as it is but it took 20mins to realize it? And then I ordered Kathi roll, it was super basic and I didn't enjoy it very much. It had too much masala in it and the paneer tasted kind of funky. Clearly, that day was a off day. The last couple of times I had their vada pav and dal makhani which was really good. On another occasion, I had their burrito - which was really big, but wasn't very falvorful. It could have been better. So really, this place could very much be a hit or a miss. Good luck the next time you visit, hoping it will be better!
google avatar

Deep S.

Yelp
The worst food ever!!!! There is a reason why they stay open til 3 am because the drunk people don't know what kind of food they are eating. The staff is lost in sauce, so is their system. The food took forever to come out and the vada pau we ordered came out frozen. The Kathi roll is more of a taco made with the frozen Malaysian prantha with Sabzi in it strong masalas, not street food at all. Honestly save your money there are so many better places to eat at the domain than this.
google avatar

Bhagyashree B.

Yelp
I really like the vibe of this place, the graffiti on the walls reminds me of some hip restaurants in Mumbai. The menu is interesting and sort of Indian fusion. We had a mixed experience with the food, the kachori chaat was quite good and spicy (!) but the chicken paneer burrito was a complete let down. It was also a bit expensive and small portion size didn't justify the price.
google avatar

Samantha M.

Yelp
The food was so delicious , if I could give it 10 stars and I would !!! Highly recommended to go to this place !!! The price was perfect for this plate !
google avatar

Zach O.

Yelp
Been here a couple times now and it's solid! I like the Indian street food with a hint of other stuff (burritos and pizzas). The mango lassi is okay, but worth a shot if you're trying new stuff. I was hoping for a tad more flavor on the garlic chili naan, but maybe just got a bad piece. Either way, eating the bowl with the naan was a perfect combo. I think the fast casual aspect makes it pretty appealing for those that want to hurry and get some flavorful food, so big fan there. I'd recommend checking it out for sure and I'd go back!
google avatar

Hannah K.

Yelp
Indian-Mexican fusion with a side of fun and funkiness? I'm all in. For meatless eaters, do not pass go, do not pass $100 (okay, you could do that given the opportunity) and head straight for the Hella Vegan, either in bowl of burrito form. It's stuffed with smashed samosas, spiced rice, and sweet/tart/tangy chutney for a full array of bold flavors in every bite. There's also the Hungry Planet featuring meatless chicken for us plant-based eaters that want more protein, but given the opportunity to have potatoes wrapped in pastry wrapped in rice wrapped in a tortilla, is there really and question what I would do?
google avatar

Tracey J.

Yelp
I stopped by this place for lunch around noon on a Wednesday. The ambience inside is fun, bright, and spacious. I loved how colorful and energizing the decor was. I waited a few minutes to get my order taken, but after it was placed, it was ready in only about 5 minutes. Everything seemed hot and freshly made. The Punjabi by Nature bowl was a good balance of the various food groups and full of flavor, although a tad bit too salty for my liking. Also, I think I'll go for the chili garlic naan next time, as I'm used to naan with more flavor, but the plain naan was a bit lacking. Overall, I enjoyed the meal, and thought portion sizes were really decent. Since this place is in such a convenient location for me, I'd definitely be open to going again in the future for a quick and tasty lunch!
google avatar

Kolby G.

Yelp
Food is okay. Restaurant isn't too clean. Portions are small. Street Snacks: Keema Pav - 4/5 Bowls: Chicken Tikka Masala - 3/5 Drinks: Mango Lassi - 4/5 The portion size is tiny. I ordered the Tikka Masala bowl, it came with about 8 little chunks of chicken. The bowl was probably $18 with taxes and tip. It was ALL rice and lentils. Probably cost $2 to make. The Keema Pav was good but, again really tiny portion. Not a good value, definitely overpriced. Lots of empty tables that were dirty and needed to be bussed. The trash was overflowing as well.

Camila T.

Yelp
SO GOOD! Service was great and the quality of the food was amazing. The mango lassi was very yummy!!
google avatar

Isai J.

Yelp
They ask some people to order online via phone at the table while they take other people's order at the registers. They need to decide whether you order at the table or at the registers. This leaves people feeling confused and discriminated. They did this to my friend and I. They took his order and not mine. I did not make big deal of it but when I saw they charge an extra fee for ordering online, I asked them to take my order like they did my friend's and they finally agreed but with a horrible attitude. First and last time I come here. Also, food was mid and I'll be continuing to visit Tarka instead.
google avatar

Vivek A.

Yelp
I was a little iffy about trying this place after reading some of the reviews but I must say that I am glad I gave this place a shot. I am North Indian, and we had a few dishes - the samosa chaat, papdi chaat, choley bhature, and vada pav. And I would say that I was happy with all the dishes we tried. The samosa chaat had several mini samosas which was an interesting take on this dish and in my opinion a better way to do it. The choley in the choley bhature were better than others I have had in Austin. And this place has indoor seating making it my new go-to chaat eatery during the summer. When the weather is good, I would mix it up with Chatpatti Chaat.
google avatar

Yelp
When it comes to quality innovative Indian food this place is a must have in N Austin Texas , i ordered the tikka masala burrito and when i tell you the flavor and spice we're ON POINT! They absolutely were! If you're ever in the area pleaaaaase check out this gem!
google avatar

Deborah L.

Yelp
No where else can you find sweet potato waffle fries. But even better, where else can you get sweet potato waffle fries slathered in chicken tikka masala? No where, I tell you! Curry Up Now is a casual Indian street food joint perfectly located in Rock Rose Domain across from bubble tea restaurant, Gong Cha. It's a perfect marriage. Instantly you're hit with the smell of Indian food and bright colored walls. The craving of fried Indian food or hearty curry with choice of carb will be satisfied here.
google avatar

Tracey Z.

Yelp
Very hip new Indian spot! Good vibes and good food! I like the street food options! I got the Samosa bowl. Very flavorful and good texture. Large portion sizes but the price is quite steep. Very bright interior. Not sure how authentic it is but the menu has a lot of good options!
google avatar

Mira D.

Yelp
This place just opened so we had to go try it. It is a spin on Indian street food. As soon as you walk in the door you can smell all of the fragrances of India. It is fast food style so you wait in line and order in the front. I thought this was different because most Indian restaurants are more of a sit down and order type of place. I ordered the Peace Love Vegan bowl. I loved how they had vegan and vegetarian options. This place is great if you are looking for a spot that can accommodate multiple types of dietary restrictions. I also really liked the art on the walls. I feel like they took the time to make the restaurant look unique. The food of course was really good. I have been here twice now and ordered the same thing and thought it was good both times! The fryums are crispy and I feel like they would be fun for kids. The soy curry tasted great. I also loved how fast the food came out. This place would be great if you are on the go. Lastly I appreciated the to-go boxes. I felt like they sealed much better than other to-go boxes. It had three areas that you can seal on each side which is nice because nobody wants their curry to spill all over their car when they take a to-go box. I will definitely come here again sometime!
google avatar

Shahrzad Y.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised by our experience here. Dined in with very friendly staff. You order at your table through the app and food was promptly brought to our table. We ordered a few different dishes and they were ALL tasty and super fresh, which is rare. Even looking at other tables dishes, they looked good. It was fresh, tasty, and not too spicy. While we say there, there were at least 10 takeout orders who came to pick up soo the place was buzzing. The prices are very reasonable too. Will be back for sure you try some more dishes.
google avatar

Why_Oh M.

Yelp
This place was pretty good. The actual restaurant is beautiful you can tell they put a lot of work into it. The staff are nice and they really try to make sure you understand the menu. There is sooo much you can order and so much you can pick. I had the curry and I wasn't really impressed. The curry tasted like tomato sauce mainly and the heat just wasn't there. The nana was undercooked and a little soft. I didn't "hate" it but I don't know if I would eat here again.
google avatar

Yelp
We've been wanting to check out Curry Up Now for a while so we're excited when we found ourselves in The Domain around dinner time. The decor and music were great and would make some great pictures. The menu options were a mix of traditional and fun. Sadly, we didn't end up ordering food. My husband, daughter, and I checked out the menu for a bit before walking up to the right side of the counter. No one greeted or came to us so we assumed we weren't at the right spot. (There were two people behind the counter who could clearly see us so they could have come down to say something instead of letting us stand there awkwardly. They were just standing around - not like it was busy or something.) So, we walk to the left end, and my husband greets the guy behind the counter, "hey there! How are you?" The guy just looks at us, no smile or acknowledgment of the customers directly in front of him, and calls to someone sitting at the booth who seemed to also work there. Still not acknowledging us, he goes over to the guy. It was so strange and off putting. At that point, since the service was so poor, we didn't have much confidence in getting tasty food so we just left. I think we'll try it again but hopefully they get better staff.

Yelp
I had high expectations from this chain of Indian food when they came to the Domain area and was overall disappointed with the service, food and experience. Service - Ordering the food was like a regular style fast food place - order at the counter, take your numbers and be seated. They brought the food out. People were friendly to talk to. Food - Big miss on the food. Definitely not Indian and even lacking if you are expecting americanized Indian food. We ordered the samosa chat, naughty naan and paneer kathi roll. Asked to make the naan spicy and they added a charge of $2 for hot sauce without letting me know that the business is not able to accommodate any customization. Also I have never ever seen an Indian restaurant try to use hot sauce to elevate spice levels of the food. The naughty naan and kathi roll are absolutely bland. The kathi roll was cold and the cold egg was not adding any flavor. They added plenty of fillers on the side just to fill up the space. The samosa chat was on point though. This was the sole reason for the 2 stars. Will be back to just have the samosa chat. Nailed it! Overall, for the domain the prices were okay but the prices are no way justifiable for the taste and quality of food.

Yelp
Food 5/5 Ambience 5/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Service: non existent and it is not the staff's fault. Value for money: 2/5 Management: 1/5 I don't think I have been to a restaurant with linen napkins on the table that doesn't have table service. We were asked to scan the code and order ourselves. That would be alright if the WiFi was easy to access as my phone signal was bad. They had the details on the wall, but no one told us that the website has glitch and hence while we are typing we won't be able to see that it is being typed, which led to me wasting time trying to fix my phone. Finally when we did manage to place the order, the website again popped the page asking to pay, so I again had to approach the counter where the cashier told me that order has been placed, and I don't need to pay again. I wish the comedy had ended here, but then I saw that there was an offer on the screen of free chai at certain hours of the day. So naturally I requested if we could be treated to the chai, to which the cashier said that they had stopped making chai and the offer is outdated. Why was it on the screen? I came back thinking that it is the confused, irrational and impetuous management to blame. There is absolutely no coherence in the product. Can you really do Indian fast food without serving chai anyway? The problem with self-ordering is that you could be elderly, or non-Indian who might need help, which was frustrating. It's such a shame that a fine product like this being let down by the decision makers for whom staff continuously had to apologise. Needs vision and direction or else the good things will also take a beating.

Yelp
We ordered the Chole Bhature and the Thali with a few different curries -- the thali was great and a pretty good deal for the quantity of food you get. Highly recommend getting the Thali if you visit. However, I would NOT recommend the chole bhature as the bhature was decent but the chole was pretty bland and the quantity was quite small. The service is excellent every time I visit and the ambiance is generally nice, matching the expected vibe for a fast casual spot in the Domain. Overall, can't complain too much since I do enjoy the food but just wish the chole was better.

Yelp
Popped in to try this spot. You order at the counter first then find a seat. Signs were posted of this. Don't blame them! I hate when you order and can't even sit down at a table. I tried the death by tikka masala, mini samosas and naan. The fryums that came with the death by tikka masala was taken over by my toddler. She loved it. Everything was good and had good flavor. I think for me what I love about this spot is the fact they offer keto and paleo options. We shall be back if we are in the area. Check out their mural on the side of the building.

Yelp
Stopped by for some lunch. The food was great and I enjoyed the atmosphere. The only issue I had is since we were eating in we had to order off a QR code at the table. I would have preferred to order at the counter and ask more about the food options since the menu is huge.

Yelp
We were super excited to hear about this location in Austin- we used to go to the Palo Alto one all the time. This location didn't live up to the expectations as the Cali one. Service was horrible. First they said the register isn't working so we had to order online. Then they said the fryer wasn't working. Only two people were working there. Food was extremely heavy on the masala and spices. I ordered a vada pav and it was completely frozen in the middle. We ordered Kathi rolls and it was literally a taco. The Parantha was a Malaysian roti stuffed with overly filled masala saabzi. Restrooms were horrible- trash was overflowing with papertowels. On top of everything they added a tip in my amount. For $83 they tipped themselves $13- why? For the service and food I wouldn't have even tipped a $1. Oh there was a service fee added too. We will never go back there again. (I'm Indian so I know how this food should be tasting)

Yelp
Good to see a Indian street food place in this area. Went in with high expectations but felt it to be average. They were out of vada pav, so tried SPDP and chicken and paneer kathi roll. Delicious but not top notch. If you are craving some desi street food then sure give it a try. But don't set your expectations to high levels.

Yelp
We ate here on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed a Thali and a Tikka Masala Burrito. Service was fast and the restaurant was clean. Onto the food. - The Thali was their 'Kitty Thali' and it was delicious. The Naan was flavorful, the paneers were great. It also came with some rice and lentils, both were fine. Nothing life changing, but it's rice and lentils, ya know? My partner in crime had the burrito and got through a little more than half of it. It was huge. We appreciate that they took the local culture of tacos and burritos and made the Indian food work with it. It was enjoyable. We'll be back!

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by the food here! The mango lassi was the second best I've had in Austin (Tandoori Lounge is first). The pani puri quality was great. I don't remember the last time I had such solid puris, and the way it's served with the pani in a bottle is cute too. My family had actual food (a thali and a burrito), and they weren't impressed with the flavor; they felt it was a little lacking. Overall, great option if you're craving chaat like I was, and the chai was good too! Definitely more of a street food destination than a proper dinner destination.

Yelp
This place is OVER PRICED & they know it bc they made sure not to put the price on the menu. I ordered 2 samosa chats and 1 panipuri and I paid over $30. Keep in kind I only got "appetizers". I'm definitely never going back here again.
