The 19 Best Steakhouses In LA

"Cut is a Wolfgang Puck-owned steakhouse in Beverly Hills that is predictably expensive and surprisingly excellent. Before you can even order a $20 glass of wine, a suited server shows up with a platter of steaks from all over the world, each more marbled than a countertop in Architectural Digest. The move here is to get one of the shareable cuts, like the 24-ounce New York strip that arrives expertly charred, sliced, and served with various mustards. Add on sides like the creamed spinach topped with a fried egg for some extra oomph. " - nikko duren, sylvio martins, brant cox, arden shore

Amazing service to match the quality of the drinks and atmosphere. The bar tender, Jeffery, was professional, kind, and attentive. Provided suggestions when asked and engaged in friendly conversations. My only complaint is I don't live in town and have to wait for my next business trip to go back.

The 1-star Michelin restaurant will definitely not disappoint you. This restaurant is famous for the steak, which when I tried it, I understood that why it's so famous. The smell of the steak was a mild wood aroma. The chef cooked meat in perfect ripeness that I prefer. Furthermore, this restaurant is not onlu good at the steak but also good in many plates such as ‘big eye tuna tartare’, ‘bone marrow flan’, and ‘maple glazed pork belly’. Before coming to this restaurant you need to book through call or their website first.

Liked this place a little. Visited the restaurant for the dine L.A. special and was a bit disappointed that I went with the dine L.A. menu instead of the main menu!!! The waiter brought us the steak menu by bringing the steaks themselves on a cart after I finished dinner with the family. Will definitely visit again to try their wagyu!!! Well a little piece anyway.

We came to celebrate Mr. Joy's birthday with the intention of trying some Japanese wagyu. Needless to say, entering the Beverly Wilshire just feels fancy, practically glitzy. The dining space itself is ultra-modern with rather striking paintings on its walls. When our waiter showed up at our table, presenting the impressively large array of marbled beef, I was very impressed that they lift these slabs of meat with such ease. We began nibbling on parmesan sticks and then the bread arrived and kept coming. Gruyere gougeres (cheese puffs), pretzel bread, onion focaccia, and butter of course. I enjoyed all of them, especially the gougeres. $20 Bone Marrow Flan w/ mushroom marmalade, parsley salad, red wine bordelaise, toasted brioche: Good! This has got to be one of the most complex bone marrow dishes I have had. The delicate bone marrow flan scoops out smoothly from the bone itself. The bulk of the flavor comes from the mushroom marmalade and red wine sauce. The parsley salad helps cut through the richness. The toasted brioche simply resembled toasted bread with the crusts cut off, but it made for some very nice, fancy toast. $90 Rib Eye 9 oz. American Wagyu, Snake River Farms, Idaho: Great! Delicious juicy, pink in the middle, with a quite a bit of char on the outside, forming a very crunchy crust. We ordered the American wagyu as a comparison to the Japanese, and it was clear. American rib eye does pale in comparison. $25/oz. Rib Eye Japanese Pure Wagyu, Miyazaki Prefecture: Excellent! The meat is so heavily marbled, it just tastes rich. In fact the fat content probably facilitates the crust that forms on the outside. Inside, the meat is so tender and rich, it practically melts in your mouth. The beef came with sea salt and a trio of sauces, but they tasted so great on their own, I didn't see much need to add sauce. $14 Brussels Sprouts, Sesame Yuzu Aioli, Glazed Shallots: Good! We did just order these to have some vegetable content on the table. Crunchy and crispy, a little sweet, and wonderfully caramelized. As much as I love Brussels sprouts, they are becoming a ubiquitous side dish, an expensive one at that. Lastly, we were surprised with a plate of petit fours, including a sesame ball, chocolate truffle, a small almond cake, a small lemon tart with a candle, and 'Happy Birthday!' written in chocolate. Mmm I enjoyed each of these desserts. The food was excellent. However this being my first time trying high-quality Japanese beef, I hope I can be satiated by other steaks again.

Google
Had very high expectations. Tried the sample platter with 3 different steaks. Absolute average, this Restaurant seems to live from its name. Had better steaks at Catch LA and Wallys Beverly Hills. Sides and service however good

Google
My partner and I come here about once a month when we are craving steak. The food is fantastic. Service always impeccable. Environment is laid back and we can always get a table. We tried the main restaurant last year but actually prefer the lounge to it. Highly recommend.

Google
Update: I reached out to the GM after their reply but never heard back. We're all busy, I can appreciate that. But one would think if you created an opportunity to improve the experience that you would follow through to ensure your guest becomes a promoter of your restaurant, and not a detractor. Edited review to 3 stars overall. Considering how much the food is here, especially the steaks, I expected better. The bread and the Mac and cheese are excellent. I was actually really impressed with the Mac. The steak I got was an off menu NY strip. It was just ok. The presentation was great, but the steak just wasn't the best. May have just been the fact I shouldn't have ordered a NY strip, but I left disappointed on the steak. The Baked Alaskan was also just ok.

Google
What a superb dining experience for our Valentine's date at CUT! A Michelin-starred steakhouse that offers premium cuts of beef. We made reservations weeks in advance to ensure we would lock down a prime time slot. The restaurant is located inside the Beverly Hills Wilshire hotel off Rodeo Drive.

Yelp
New Years night was our first time here. Lots going on that night and glad we tried some food as well as drinks. Service was above and beyond. Our bartender was phenomenal and extremely kind and professional. Didn't catch his name but since quite a few regulars know him so well, I'd assume he will be there and loved by all who go. I'd say the lounge is best for drinks overall and the convenience of location. It's right by Rodeo Drive and in such a nice and walkable area. I had a pretty tasty drink, looked over the menu to find the name but it slipped my memory. Was champagne with a citrus twist and a sugar rim. Highly recommend. We got the hamachi which I also couldn't find on the menu. Also, we ordered the truffle fries and forgot to not only finish them but also take a photo but they were okay. Service was the highlight overall!

Yelp
We had reservations for the restaurant, but liked the atmosphere of the lounge better. Beautiful food. we loved the marrow, the prawns were so sweet, the butter lettuce salad was fantastic Our only let down was the beef tartare. It was not traditional. and just wasnt our thing. Our highlight, was our server Paige, who we fell in love with talking to throughout the night. Amazing service.

Yelp
I'm giving this place 3 stars but I could understand people giving more. The atmosphere and service is great. The food is a bit disappointing. Only things I really really enjoyed was the spinach, souffle and double shot espresso macchiato. Spinach and espresso were best parts. Kebab was nothing special to me and surprisingly neither was dry-aged ribeye. Maybe I should have gotten porterhouse, or maybe steakhouses aren't for me since I'm often disappointed.

Yelp
The food and service is impeccable. From the cut lounge, you're served by the expert mixologists, namely Carrie who goes above and beyond to make your drink an experience. Her effortless technique and professional ability creates such a comforting vibe that any professional appreciates after a work day. Ambience of the Cut Lounge is unparalleled to the restaurant. They each have their own vibes and the lounge is my favorite since I feel more focused on instead of being in a large restaurant atmosphere. If you choose to dine in the restaurant, however, it is still an exceptional experience. From the viewing or the steak (optional) prior to ordering and seeing the different cuts really highlights the quality. The outstanding service is something that is innate in these LA staples, and is also rare nowadays. Quality and Service is A++++

Yelp
everyone in this place is extremely rude. cocktails are terrible. There was a guy behind the bar acting extremely condescending and rude. That was before he charged us over $20 a cocktail. Cocktails we're. very underwhelming.

Yelp
I went to a b'ness event at nearby Greystone Mansion, and the evening needed a boost. We ended up going to CUT Lounge for an afta party in the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Its across from CUT Steakhouse. We ordered cocktails, but the ladies also ordered some food: Cheese and a grilled cheese sandwich. I wasn't hungry, but the ladies said the cheese was just OK, but the grilled cheese was amazing!: 3 Stars for the cheese, 5 Stars for the grilled cheese sandwich. Regarding the ambiance, its very bougee in here. Its a great place to take a date, before or after dinner, or, ahem, to close a deal (hehehe): 5 Stars. On the other hand, the service could have been more attentive. Nonetheless, our waitress stepped up her game as the night went on: 3 Stars. CUT Lounge is a fun place to start, or end an evening. The ambiance is impressive, and some of the food is excellent.

Yelp
First time coming here...to be honest I had very limited expectations coming in. I was hoping that the food would really blow me away, but the best items might've been the two salads we ordered. The tomahawk was very good and perfect to share. The most disappointing part was the porterhouse that we ordered medium rare, which arrived medium well. I was surprised that a restaurant that specializes in steaks would make that error and had to take a star off for that. They made up for it by remaking one for us, but I just can't get over that a steakhouse would make this mistake. The accompanied sides were not very good either and made the whole experience lackluster. Service was great and people there were very friendly. Not sure I'd purposely go back, but if there was an occasion where someone felt the need to overpay to be in a "higher end" steakhouse, I would certainly oblige. It's a nice "special occasion" place aka pay for the sake of where you're dining vs. what's being consumed. I get it. But over would much rather go somewhere else for a more consistent meal.

Yelp
This place is sooo cute! It's very classy and elegant inside. We came here on a Friday night around 9pm, and it was open seating. There were a lot of open tables as it was pretty empty. It got pretty busy as the night went on though, and I'd say it was about 80% full by the time we left. Service was on point. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Food: Great food worth its price. The food menu inside the lounge isn't extensive, but thanks to other Yelp reviews we were able to order things that were off menu. We tried the truffle fries ($22) which had generous portions of truffle. It was delicious! We also tried the sliders ($19) which had wagyu beef, I believe. We all loved it! We were also given some sort of edamame appetizer compliments of the chef, and it was great. Drinks: Drinks were a bit pricey ($19+) but hey it's Beverly Hills. The quantity is small, but it's pretty strong. We ordered about 5 drinks across 4 of us and we all liked them. Location: Inside the hotel. Had some trouble finding the place, but it's inside the hotel and right across CUT (the actual dining room). Overall spent around $180 including tips for some appetizers and drinks. Quite expensive, but definitely worth the price!

Yelp
This is actually a pretty cool place to hang out. Located right next to The Cut by Wolfgang Puck restaurant, this I remembered used to be strictly a bar with miniature lounge chairs and tables. What I remembered was that it was for people that are waiting for their Cut restaurant reservations. People can chill and have a few drinks. That was 11 years ago. I recently went back and realized they separated this portion of the space and make it a cocktails/bar lounge. As you can see, those drinks are in a big oval glass that resembles an oversized wine glass. The one thing I noticed off the bat was they were offering a modify meal menu at this lounge where it was strictly a quick drinks or some nibbles on the menu in the years past. The modify menu does include several steak dishes, but not hard to get exotic steaks you could be ordering at The Cut. I think they changed it up so that they can get some hotel guests or tourists who couldn't get into the Cut without a reservation, but willing to take a gander on some dishes in the Lounge. I actually enjoyed a few of their drinks and love the laid back vibes that was not stuffy or pretentious as I thought it might have been a decade ago. Times change as it gets more competitive in dining circuits. You want to keep as many potential diners in your place as much as possible. This is one revision I am glad The Cut had made. Bravo on this.

Yelp
There are millions of types of folks here from high rollers to locals to crazy people. They can handle them all. With aplomb (this unusual vocab will hopefully be appreciated). Great folks and keeping the place feeling warm. Hope to see these guys more often and we are regular costumers who live in the area. Great food from Cut btw and the steak is amazing. Oh and finish with the Chocolate Soufflé. Jesse is the man. Excellent service. Great group here overall. The only big thing ****they need to bring a sweet Riesling back. Only thing missing now. *****They brought back a sweet Riesling! Six stars!

Yelp
Great lounge! Perfect spot for a date night that provides the lounge vibe with great drinks and full CUT menu. I have been to CUT several times but this was my first time at the lounge and now it's going to be my usual spot when wanting an elegant and comfortable vibe. The lighting was just perfect, dim but not too dark. Since we were in a date night, we wanted a more comfortable and intimate atmosphere but also wanted to indulge in a steak meal. Here you can order off the full CUT menu so we chose the caviar appetizer, steak samplers, brussels sprouts and baked Alaska dessert. The caviar appetizer was delicious, high quality caviar on a perfectly mild bun with cream fresh. The wagu in the sampler melts in your mouth. The baked Alaskan is a show.

Yelp
I am not really sure what the heck happened! Sidebar is not at all what it used to be. I went a few weeks ago on a Saturday and there was no DJ, the decor was different, and there weren't that many people there....It is no longer that "dance all night long" vibe that we love, but a "let's sit in silence and people watch" feel. Not digging it!

Janeth Q.

Yelp
This place is Amazing. My babe surprised me after work by taking me here. You want to surprise a special someone this is the place.

Yelp
We lost our reservation in the main dining room due to being late. However, the manager of the lounge, and her staff, went above and beyond to accommodate us for dinner in the lounge area, which was fully committed at the time of our arrival. They seated us at a table as quickly as possible given the busy Saturday night turn-out. The manager even brought us a variety of amazing appetizers on the house, which were delicious! The steak and sides were fantastic, but the excellent service was the most meaningful to us. We ended up being grateful for losing our reservation in the main dining room, as we had such an amazing dining experience in the lounge. We look forward to visiting again soon!

Yelp
We celebrated our last day for 2015 here with our friends! To be thankful healthy and happy together! This bar is just cool with good food and awesome drinks! Great place to get together and enjoy the night! It is expensive however, but then again you are in Beverly Hills and it's at the four season! So roll out and have fun! I always say yolo! Look at my pictures for food comments!

Yelp
Why do I always come back to #Yelp a bar or restaurant right after losing my babies - sadly this time, my 2008 #Audi A4 - the one I call #Audu got totalled four weeks ago :( Anyway, how ya'all been...yep it's been a cold minute but am back. #SideBar is my Friday wind down from a stressful week spot. I already have a #melancholy spot for the #BeverlyWilshire Hotel on account of my favorite movie EVER - #PrettyWoman being filmed mostly at that location but then, the ambience when I walk in, makes my stress fall of my shoulder. I usually get there after 9pm, so the DJ is playing my fav tunes already. Lately, the crowds not as packed as it used to be which suits me just fine but the quality is impressive. Made a few good biz and personal friends there. Sit at the bar, or the high chairs in the island or reserved couches in the lounge area and you still get a good view of the room. The cocktails are to die for! Seriously, they are so strong you just might...None of that watered down "you need glasses to find the alcohol in your cocktail" stuff. Yes they are pricey but hey, you in #BeverlyHills #90210, what do you expect! Being the teetoler that I am now, can only tell you what my dates say but they have a nice selection of #GingerBeers that I partake in. I love that even before you order drinks or food, they slide a tray of assorted exotic nuts and olives into your peripheral arm reach. Now the food - you know #Cuts owned by funny sounding renowned #Oscar #AcademyAwards #Chef #WolfgangPuck is right opposte, and rumored to have an ownership interest in SideBar so the food - appetizers or entrée has to be #OscarWorthy! The selection of appetizers is called "Rough Cuts" and gives you a window into Wolfgang Pucks world renowned culinary skills. So eat, drink and dance the night away and before you know it, it's Saturday already. Just please don't get so carried away that you step on those freshly broken in #Converse sneakers of the tall dark mysterious gentleman dancing next to you - yes that's me! Until next time ya'all - be sure to apply more grease to your elbow! Namaste ;-)

Yelp
This lounge isn't what it used to be as it was a different entity back in the late-90s when this hotel and bar were famous because of the movie, "Pretty Woman." Let's face it, one will not see Richard Gere( as a corporate raider) playing on the piano at this property while Julia Roberts waits while having a drink in that perfect black evening dress. But, one might bump into a celebrity or two(if that's your thing) as I have run into the likes of everyone from Martin Scorsese all the way down to Will Smith here. This is my ideal pick for "staycations" on weekends when I just want to get away from the hustle and bustle of LA. I love this place, but I only love it at night. Reason being: It can almost remind you of the perfect night in NY dining in the Village at the former Bouley as the denizens come out to eat at this hotel. I love this place as they can make a chocolate soufflé and they can serve it with three different cream/toppings. I love my city and I love this hotel. I'm still young, but I can say...The classics will never die!

Yelp
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. We both loved the service and the food was amazing. Yes it's a little expensive, but it was def worth every bite.

Yelp
Went in on a Saturday night and had a meal at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. I had a filet and fries. The steak was good but the fries tasted stale, not sure how that's possible. Also had a really good drink. Great experience overall.

Yelp
When staying in Beverly Hills you should definitely have some cocktails at the Sidebar in the Beverly Wilshire! Devil in disguise was a margarita with passion fruit and chilli with a smoked chilli salt rim, very nice!
google avatar

Nikki S.

Yelp
Lovely bar located inside Beverly Wilshire Hotel nestled next to Wolfgang Puck's Cut, Sidebar is a swanky hotel bar where you can enjoy a cocktail or two or three....(who is counting?) You get the amazing food from cut combined with insanely good cocktails in a relaxed environment. They have a nice selection of wines, with a knowledgeable staff to help you find the perfect one, as well as great cocktails. They also provide 'bar snacks' upon arrival supper yummy selection of spicy and salty goodies perfect balance for drinks. Side bar offers happy hour deals and worth trying out since cocktails are not cheap here. Happy Hours are Monday through Friday, 5pm until 7pm While it is a bit pricey, it is also an experience and a fun place to come with friends, on a date or for business drinks. The service is a very friendly and attentive.

Yelp
I liked the atmosphere in here, how people were quite casually dressed and just chilling. I don't know how much drinks cost since our hosts paid, but I didn't think the Bellini was all that great. I do like the fact that you are able to order food in here! Try the Kobe beef sliders! If you're just drinking they bring out olives, nuts and wasabi peas and these are the really good Kalamata olives. I didn't think the seats were very comfortable -- I'm talking about the ones along the window. The 'sofas' aren't very comfortable and if you should get stuck on one of those one seaters, then forget it. Totally UNcomfortable! Sit on a bar stool or at a table. Unlike other bars, they allow children in here because I saw other kids besides my own in there. Not sure if it's because they were waiting for their table at Cut or what, but there were a few kids dotted around. It's a nice place to go if you don't want a full meal at Cut, but still want the experience.

Yelp
I just called them today 7/8/16 @ 6:58pm PST, and the hostess says they no longer do happy hours. :( (310) 276-8500 Beverly Hills, CA

Yelp
HOW TO APPEAR LIKE AN ESCORT This Los Angeles game is killing me... Thursday night I wanted to go out and explore on my own and possibly mingle/meet new faces. It had been a rough month and I needed a break. So I decided to wander around Beverly Hills with the mentality that I want to surround myself with successful people (probably a bad judgement on my part, but I had to pick one place to explore, so it was the process of elimination)... I was enjoying walking around and then decided to go into a restaurant at 9pm because my feet hurt (Yelp said it closed at 10pm and I confirmed this with the worker who I crossed paths with on my way in). Beverly Wilshire Beverly Hills (A Four Seasons Hotel) Sidebar 9500 Wilshire. I asked the manager at the bar (just to be polite) if I could sit there since no one was sitting at the bar.. She looked me up and down and said "bar is closed." So I asked for a table since people were still eating at tables and there were plenty open. She said, "we're closed." And all the employees standing behind her timidly backed her. I was so confused at first. Was it my purse from Target they didn't like? Or the fact that I did not ram my Mercedes into their front door? Then it hit. They thought I was an escort! Then I was forced to take the walk of shame for no reason. Wow, lay low on assumptions people. I am still cracking up at how funny this situation was. I can't decide to call them out on it via Yelp or their owner, or just let it go and allow them to be prejudiced. So I guess I'll do the Yelp thing to start. In a way I get it. I wouldn't want escorts hanging out at my bar either. But really??? Just ask. Don't assume. I'll hand you a business card if need be.
google avatar

Patricia L.

Yelp
I know I check-in here all the time but it's my little hidden gem for HH. Rikka the Manager, the bar tending staff are ALL amazing just because they are owned by the Four Seasons doesn't mean they won't remember your name, what you drink or your favorite sports teams. Thank you All at Sidebar for making the last 2 months great!
google avatar

Harry H.

Yelp
Very nice and cozy lounge. Their happy hour menu is perfect too. Where in Beverly Hills can you get an amazing old fashioned for $7? Nowhere! We had drinks here right before our amazing dinner at Cut. Cut Lounge is definitely a good meeting & pre-drinks spot! I'll be back!
google avatar

Jennifer F.

Yelp
I loved this place! Great ambiance, great service, great food. 2 appetizers and 1 drink totaled $50+ so prices are a bit on the high end but it's well it. I will come back here again. Delicious appetizers: bruschetta and sliders.
google avatar

Wei W.

Yelp
Great spot for a quiet drink during the week - the atmosphere is chill, you can talk quietly and the drinks are strong but excellent (dangerous combination, albeit). 2 cocktails will run you $50 including tip, but worth a visit for the vibe and its easy accessibility to Rodeo Dr. and nearby bars/restaurants. Park in the lots on Beverly Dr. ($5 flat after 6pm!) or show off your ride at the valet at the Wilshire. :)

Yelp
Looking for a night cap we went to the Wilshire, thinking of going to the the Blvd lounge, but the girl at the front desk, recommended this place. Always ready for something new, we went. Very nice decor, very good service even thou the waitress didn't know exactly how to explain something on the menu, but she kept trying. The wine is good, and so are the drinks, but they are expensive compared to other places, but you are at the Beverly Wilshire. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that a couple of friends ordered the glass of wine/cheese plate combo, and it took a long time for them to bring it, and it isn't a huge plate. Maybe the kitchen was swamped. This place is kind of the bar/lounge for CUT. If you go, try and have a place in the sofa area, it is really comfortable, and you have a good view of the place.......

Yelp
This review is for the service tonight, because I actually thought the bar was amazing. The blonde female bartender tonight was extremely rude. She saw me three times calling her over to order some drinks and she would look over give a rude smirk and continue doing her own thing. I also asked her what was the best cocktail on the menu being that it was my first time there, and she looked at me rolled her eyes and said "why don't you just look at the menu". That's a first because bartenders are always so eager to recommend a drink but I guess she wasn't in the mood. I planned on ordering a few rounds with my friends but one drink was enough and then we were ready to go somewhere with better service. She sucked as a bartender honestly, never met a rude bartender before so this was a first for me. I would come back, hopefully she's not my bartender though!

Yelp
Disgusting place. Worst experience. I went with my fiance just to hangout and have a good time. We didn't get a waiter to our table for about 20 minutes after sitting & when she came she was in such a rush to go. She didnt care that we were trying to order. We got drinks and appetizers, i got the "hello kitty" drink. First off i asked her if its sweet she said yea totally. The drink was spicy not sweet, and besides that there was a bug inside. I asked the waiter she said "oh ok u want a new one", i said yes. Had to wait another 15 minutes just for the drink to come. & funny part at the end they tried charging for 2 drinks instead of 1. I told her i only got 1, she said oh ya your right. Worst place, i dont recommend!!! Crappy service, crappy food, and crappy drinks.

Yelp
I've been here many times and I always forget about this little gem. Great bar, great location, friendly service. They have a wide array of the worlds finest scotches. A wonderful place for a cocktail after a long day. I highly recommend this bar as a destination or for anyone strolling by.

Yelp
Omg... without consequences cocktail and grilled cheese sandwich Wonderful atmosphere stylish decor

Yelp
Positioned just across the foyer off the motorcade this will fit your goals of drinks in a quintessential Beverly Hills locale of rich and famous. Sometimes quiet, sometimes packed, you never know who actually might be grabbing a drink here as well. Drinks prices reflect the location but they are LA tasty. The appetizers are all prepped at Cut so if you want to indulge a little order some snacks from there.
google avatar

Jeff M.

Yelp
Come here for drinks from time to time. The servers and staff are great here. I don't drink cocktails so I wouldn't know how they are. They have a good wine menu, but when I'm not in the mood for wine I'll drink a Long Island Ice Tea. They make it really good here (Not an easy drink to make.) not too strong and not weak. If you want to relax and have a good drink stop on by.

Yelp
YAS!! This place is awesome! I have been here a couple times for drinks and relaxation. I came here because a friend of mine (DJ SKU) was djing and I know he's an awesome DJ so I stopped in. What a cute little spot! When I say "little spot" that's exactly what I mean lol. This place is TINY. That is the only reason why I didn't give Sidebar a 5 star rating. It's located right across from the steakhouse CUT so it's perfect if you are having dinner to just head over to sidebar after for drinks and lounging. It's such a fun atmosphere and having a DJ versus just stereo music adds such a nice touch. Advice I will give, make sure you read the bathroom signs correctly. The bathrooms are so nice that if you have had a few drinks and you are a lady, you may end up in the wrong bathroom.. like I did... :o LOL The bartenders and cocktail servers are great and super helpful with the drink menu and they aren't pushy. Valet is available, however, there is tons of street parking and meters close by. There is no dance floor, but, people tend to still dance in the tiny space in front of the DJ so in a sense, I guess you can make your own dance floor. I love this place and definitely recommend it! I hope this review helps you decide on where to get cute and have a chill night out in Beverly Hills! :)

Yelp
I get it. I look like a baby. I'm 22, but I look 11. If you need to card me, that's fine. I also understand this is a classy establishment, so you're going to want to go about it in the most discreet, polite way possible. However, letting me sit at a table, browse the drink menu, chit-chat with me about the current basketball game thats being currently broadcasted (GO CELTICS!), giving me deeee-lish complimentary small bites, and THEN coming back over to lean down and whisper 'well, ladies, how bout some IDs? You look quite young' is just tedious. Why'd you let me get all cozy? Sure, man, I'll show you my ID. Yup, it's from NJ! Nope, it's not fake, although I see the way you're eyeing us both up and down. If you have a problem with me, ask to see back-up. I promise, I have it. Otherwise, fine fine fine. Service was at a level it should be for a small bar in a 5 star hotel, I couldn't be more pleased with my server-selected Pinot Noir, and hey- you DID have the Celtics game on.

Yelp
I've only been here to eat, but we dropped by late Friday for drinks. There weren't many people and we nabbed a table and couch easily. I ordered a Blackberry Añejo - Gran Centenario Añejo Tequila, Blackberry, Cointreau. Friend had two grey goose vodkas, straight up. A couple of cinnamony almonds, wasabi peas, olives, and you're set for a great night chatting away. The server comes around to refill your glasses and check up. The crowd is chill, not too standoffish, and definitely not of the Hollywood but more BH vibe. It's a great place to end the week and start the weekend.

Yelp
Oh, G-d where do I start? Sidebar is at exactly what it is; a hotel bar. This is one of those places that leaves you pondering, "There has to be more to life than this?" I stayed for about an hour and a half just because I felt bad my friends were here. I couldn't even order a drink here I was so confused. The place looks nice and the DJ decent, but BH will continue to be for business lunches only. This place gets three stars because: 1. It's the Beverly Wilshire, 2. Valet didn't charge me (must have been the look on my face), and 3. My car looked really nice coming out of valet. "Check!" That's the sound of me checking this place off my list and never coming back.

Yelp
The bar is a hit & miss. If you are looking for way too much work done, trying to hard ladies from ages 21-50 desperate for some male attention this is the bar to come to. Oh & "Sugar Daddies" all around for you to cherry pick from. I would give them 5 stars from my previous experiences but knocked 2 off this visit because they have removed their highlight signature spiced Marcona almonds & Olive medley they used to offer as bar snacks while you sip. Very disappointed when we came here and found out they replaced those goodies with "house made" potato chips. Pretty cheap if you ask me. You can't compare olives & Marcona almonds to potato chips. I mean come on now!! Also their prices keep going sky high within months at a time. Who does that?? They make over 300% profit on their drinks clearly!!

Yelp
My friend and I came in after a long shift at work. One of our coworkers recommended this spot. The bartender Mounir was awesome as well as the rest of the staff, including Omar and Rikka. The burger from the bar menu was mouth watering and the tuna tartare was one of the best I've had. It was our first time there and definitely not our last :)

Yelp
Had the good fortune to come to Sidebar for a recent Yelp event after what had been almost a year-long hiatus from the place. Turns out that was FAR TOO LONG! My how you've grown up, Sidebar (cue pervy uncle voice).. It's still the same great location and layout, but the place seems somehow more comfortable and inviting. You just walk in and feel fantastic. One could always count on the place for a good vibe and fantastic cocktails served by friendly barkeeps without the attitude, and that alone would be good enough. But now they've added a whole lineup of Wolfgang's decadent small bites, each of which are beautifully presented and clearly made with care. I'm serious on this last part - the dishes are all coming straight from Cut's kitchen next door, unlike some bars where you might be lucky to be served a mushy tuna tartare that had been scraped together by the barkeep during the afternoon doldrums. I'd dropped by the place with nearby dinner plans but, well, after going a little overboard on the Wagyu sliders, the housemade Hot Pastrami, and the unbelievable donuts with mascarpone, those plans got canceled. No regrets! I will be returning there soon with every intention to drink and eat - and you should too.

Yelp
The clientele maybe douche, the place could be just a layover to Cut. But the bartender ROCKS! (no pun intended) This is like an old school bar with modern make up. The bartender (Muear?) remembers guests by their name, what's their drink of choice last time, and even the details in their small talk (like happy birthday to your niece/nephew). However, they are a little strict about changing their cocktail formula (which is understandable) and makes very good recommendation of liquor of your liking. You can make endless talk about Bourbon with the guy. The price could be stiff, the atmosphere could be awkward. But hay, this is THE Four Seasons in Beverly Hills; you should know you will get a little bit of old school New York even in its ultra modern form.

Yelp
YUMMY drinks. Stopped in before dinner at CUT and loved their drinks. I had their Bellinissima - it's a mouthful...I just pointed. It had Ciroc vodka, peach, lemon, and prosecco. YUM. Too bad they didn't make it with Ciroc peach - my fave! He had the pear martini which I'm guessing is a Wolfgang favorite because we've had these at all 3 of his restaurants we've visited. Definitely a nice place to chill waiting for your reservation

Yelp
Ultra modern lounge across the way from Cut, which serves very delicious specialty drinks, such as the bellinisima, a peach martini with champagne and vodka, and midsummer, a vodka martini with lingonberry. The music is very eclectic and random, and they do serve food from the Cut here as well. We opted for desserts, the banana cream pie was deelish, as well as the 2 orders of vanilla gelato, but I didn't care much for the chocolate pudding layer cake thing. Apparently their chocolate souffle is the thing to order, but they were not able to make it for us since the Cut was bought out by Chanel for the evening :( I noticed a lot of rich older men, and younger, scantily clad women. Hmm.

Yelp
I have been here many times with friends, family, and entertaining guests from abroad. Service is good, bartenders are friendly and also very professional. What I like the most about this bar is that I never know what to expect, in terms of the crowd. One night I took my mother and there was a big group of people probably in their 50s-60s partying, dancing, having a great time, quite fun (and funny in a good way) to watch. They took our hands and invited to dance with them. We didn't think we'd end up dancing that night but we did, and we enjoyed it! Sometimes it's quiet with just a few businessmen. Sometimes filled with couples enjoying a calm, romantic time. Usually bars and restaurants have certain crowd they attract and has the same vive every visit. But here, it's different every time. But not to worry, with this level of a hotel, the crowd is always classy.

Yelp
Ok so this place is amazing. You get the amazing food from cut combined with insanely good cocktails in a relaxed environment. Perfect for a quick business drink or to hang out and enjoy the food. Favorite drink is the pepinos revenge, Dana the sommelier has an amazing by the glass wine list. Favorite food- I always get the mini burgers and the pastrami sandwiches. Food here is genuinely world class and not your average hotel bar food. This is Wolfgang at his finest!

Yelp
This is a great lounge! This place is perfect for just a drink, snacks or dinner. They have a nice selection of wines, with a knowledgeable staff to help you find the perfect one, as well as great cocktails. They provide small 'bar snacks' which are definitely not your typical bar snacks - the spicy almonds are addicting. The food overall is delicious and they provide lots of options from small finger foods to full dinner. The mini burgers and the pastrami sandwiches are fabulous. I also love the the tomato tartlet and for dessert the salted caramel chocolate bars are a must have. The service is a very friendly and attentive. While it is a bit pricey, it is also an experience and a fun place to come with friends, on a date or for business drinks. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
I've been for drinks with girlfriends. I like the decor but it gets REALLY crowded with people coming for drinks while they're waiting for the tables over at Cut. A lot of older, balding men trying to get their groove on with hot, young things. Hence, minus the two stars. Oh, and lots of cougars too.
