We had the pleasure of taking Mrs Patmore’s afternoon tea at the store this afternoon. We were seated downstairs and felt very much like we were on set. We were served by the lovely and attentive Omema and Fatima the store manager was really warm and friendly. We felt very welcome and the cakes and scones were delicious. The double chocolate caramel in particular was exceptional and the fruit scone was light and fluffy - went very well with clotted cream and gooseberry jam. Generous servings and spread. A wonderful way to spend Sunday afternoon. Many thanks to the team!

Even though we turned up late to pick up our cake and wasn't any tables, and they said it's fifteen minutes wait, the staff were very attentive and helpful and we patiently waited for an table to be free. Even does blue light card discount and ordered an blueberry cheesecake with 30 candles to be around £45. Very attentive for my friend who has an disability and was coming in with an scooter. And even sang happy birthday to me which was amazing, love the Chinese new year decorations too!

We had been invited to a Downtown Abbey themed tea at this very cool bakery/cafe. We were led downstairs where the room was transformed into Mrs Patmore’s kitchen. Literally the upstairs/downstairs lives of DA! The decorations were amazing. The spread was lovely and delicious. Fatima was friendly and welcoming. Have us various cake options along with the scones and sandwiches. Omema was providing very attentive table service. She patiently explained the various sweet treats and made the occasion very special - especially when we were celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary. Amazing experience! Give it a go and see how the other half lived!

I discovered this bakery online and decided to order a birthday cake. The delivery was on time and the cake was delivered in perfect condition, despite the weather being over 35 Celsius! Clearly the delivery staff do their job carefully and the packaging did an amazing job protecting the cake too. I ordered a raspberry ripple cake and it looked fabulous and tasted delicious. The flavours were carefully balanced and you could taste the freshness of the ingredients. Overall, this was a very positive experience and I would highly recommend this bakery for fresh and exquisite cakes.

Ordered from Scotland for our first Father's day and had 5 star experience with Cutter & Squidge. I was really scared for a while about the taste and delivery condition but they surprised me. Very quick and perfect delivery and amazingly delicious cake. My husband loves red velvet cake and he says this is one of the finest he ever had. Absolutely made our Father's day💕🩷

Ordered with about 2 weeks notice to be delivered to Nottingham, I received a second confirmation a few days before and then again the day before! We had the passionfruit and pistachio and it was amazing! It was a very soft sponge and lots of flavour, not at all sickly. People compliment it and wanted to know where we'd got it. Really made the day special and it arrived extremely well packaged, not a scuff on the cake. Thank you for the great experience 👍

Cutter & Squidge used to be my go-to for birthday cakes etc but a recent cake just tasted very cheap, like it was made with vegetable oils rather than butter, quite a plastic aftertaste too - I can only assume the company has been purchased and now the cost cutting has commenced. Delivery was speedy but made to our porter rather than our door and the packaging wasn’t clear that it was a cake so our porter actually handed it to me upside down - luckily the cake was extremely firmly packed with no detailing on the top to be ruined, but at £11 shipping I would have expected a delivery to my door and it could have been a disaster for the cake if it was more delicate.

I wanted cheap afternoon tea and I got cheap afternoon tea! It isn't traditional afternoon tea and I should've realized that. My expectations were amiss. I didn't make a reservation, but was lucky to get seated as it was pretty busy. This is a cute pop-up with yummy baked goods. The afternoon tea is predominately baked goods. It had too many sweets. The tea sandwiches were not traditional tea sandwiches. The cake (I picked carrot cake) was delicious but much too rich and sweet after accompanying the rest of the tea tray. I love the ambiance and decor inside. Lots of plants and colors and art.

We came here on a whim while we were walking around Soho and needed a quick pick me up. The window displays really drew us in, the desserts looked amazing. We came in and got a scone with jam and cream plus a sparkling lemonade. The drink was so bright and tasty, it was a warmer day so it really hit the spot. The scone was fantastic and well made. Overall this place was adorable and we would love to go back again.

Delivered gift at the top of delivery slot on the dot at 7 a.m. but recipient was not available that early, when I asked them if they could let the recipient know the time to expect in the 3 hour window, they became defensive and said something about it not being their fault (their word, not mine) the recipient was unavailable. Their defensive tone in lieu of kind customer service was lacking.

A Parcel arrived, i opend it and i smiled, Afternoon Tea all the way from London to my Front door. Breakfast Tea bags, scones, Jam and clotted cream and Morning Biscuits, Golly Gosh where do i start with the Portions, What a Happy Birthday Suprise and i would like to say thank you to Annabel and Emily for just paying 100% to every tiny Detail to my Birthday suprise, Thank you ladies you rock Now i am going to tuck in to my scones yummy yum Lush xx

Stopped here for after the show hot drink and a snack. No decaffeinated teas other than the regular herbals. None of the back leaf teas are served here decaffeinated. Opted for a chocolate cake and a decaf cappuccino. The quality of the beans was OK but not great, the chocolate cake was the same, OK but not great. The service was was slow and they forgot that I was seated waiting for my order... One of the places that been to, done that and don't have to go again. There are many places around this area, I am sure you can do better if you would like to try a nice break in your day in London.

Ordered the blueberry lemon cake to deliver to my boyfriend for his birthday, and the cake itself was yummy. Moist and flavorful, without being too sweet. They provide a few delivery time options. I chose 8 am-12 pm, but the delivery ended up ringing my bell at around 7:15 am...

My friend and I wanted to experience afternoon tea during our trip to London, so we made reservations here on a Monday afternoon. They have a vegan option, so he opted for that and I went with the standard menu. It came with a scone, 3 types of sandwiches (cucumber, ham & cheese, and egg salad) and an assortment of sweets (two of the sweets were vegan and then the other two were macarons for the standard menu and a brownie and cookie for the vegan option). The scones were our favorite. I was not a fan of many of the sweets, except for the one that came in a jar (not sure what it was, some type of pudding/custard).

We decided to do the Potions Room afternoon tea experience since it seemed unique, and I overall had a great time! The ambience was super cool (lots of magic/wizard themed decor). They give you a robe to wear and a wand to play with. The storyline of being in a potions class was a little cheesy in my opinion but would be fun for kids. I mainly enjoyed the tea experience and the food! You get a choice of 1 tea (unlimited refills), and you "brew" your own potion (you just mix three liquids to make a fruity drink). Then, the staff brings out an assortment of finger sandwiches and sweet treats. It took quite a bit of time for the food to arrive, so a lot of the two hour experience was just waiting. The snacks were quite good (my favorites were the finger sandwiches and the scones). At the end, we got an ice cream treat. When I placed the order online, I thought I ordered the standard adult ticket, but it seems like they treated my ticket as vip so I got an extra drink (chose the hot chocolate bugs - chocolate and coffee liquor), and you get a goodie bag with some treats and a mug.

Honestly, I had seen this on so many lists, and I was quite excited to try this place out. Everything looked delicious, but I guess it just happened to be the day that I was there that a lot of the choices had nuts (and I'm allergic...). Slight disappointment. My husband enjoyed the sweet treats, but definitely said it was a tad too sweet for him. Need to give this another try when we're back next.

Went there for the magical potion room tea. Set in the basement if cutter and squidge, a lot of time and effort has been put into the experience. A great time for the value. We went for the noon sitting and stayed until almost 230. The vegan food supplied was delicious; highest remarks for the mushroom pie and the desserts. Would also recommend the chocolate cupcake and scones. The room can fit around 15 people and you are sat in tables of 2. Would recommend this experience.

Went here for an afternoon snack a few weeks ago with a guy friend. The place is small and quaint, has a lovely vibe. We tried two of their cakes (one was apple pie and another chocolate one) - which were good, not amazing (personally I think the Hummingbird bakery does some of the best cakes and cupcakes). Ice cream was a little subpar. They're known for their biskies, of which we tried the blueberry and cheesecake one. This was super super sweet! Perhaps it's just the one I tried and some other flavour would have been a better choice. Would I go again: Maybe

Ordered online their vegan summer berry cake. Absolutely delicious. Perfect complement between the creme&jam to the moist cake base. Highly recommend. Ordering was easy and no issues with delivery.

I first saw and heard about this from my sister. The photos were cute and everything looked so delicious! They also have a Hello Kitty Afternoon Tea until the end of August 2016. When I finally booked our tickets to London, I decided that I needed to visit. It's pretty small but easy to find. They had several patrons already sitting. Their sweets were displayed prettily at the front and were clearly labeled with names and prices. Everything was cute. The prices differed depending on flavors and whether or not you were dining in. The biskies were cute but on the smaller side. We decided on their matcha (green tea) cake which was decidedly more magnificent on a sizing scale and though pricing is on the steeper side, a little more reasonable since we were sharing. It was a thinner slice (we Americans are used to thick, artery-clogging, diabetes-inducing slices, don't you know) multi-layered with alternating green tea cream and strawberry cream fillings. The cake itself isn't the lightest but nor was it too dense, so it was fine. It wasn't the highest on the moist scale but it definitely wasn't dry. The cream wasn't the sweetest but nor would it be something that I would say was perfectly sweet, either. It could have been less sweet... or perhaps it is meant to be eaten alongside tea or coffee. We had purchased lightly sweetened bubble tea before so the cake was a little on the sweet side as we were washing it down with our bubble tea. Even so, I thought the strawberry complimented the matcha well and the matcha flavor was apparent, so kudos for that. The staff was nice and friendly. The place is cute and could be slightly cramped if they get a higher volume of people at the same time. They have a single (small) unisex toilet and offer Hello Kitty themed merchandise as well as tea and tea pots. All in all, I think it was a little overrated and priced, but cute and worth a visit if you have the time to check it out. It is also a good place to stop by to chat with friends; there was even a family with kids when we were there. The food isn't bad at all but just not all that reasonably priced.

For a truly unique, fun, and delicious tea, check out Cutter and Squidge in Soho, London. With a wizard/potions theme, it's charming and interactive. And since it's a lovely bakery, the food is excellent! We really enjoyed the entire experience! The potions room is decorated perfectly and the potions instructor and prefects are charming. A must-do if you are a fan of a certain wizarding book series!

This cafe is centrally located on a corner Brewer street. The joint itself is well decorated and absolutely adorable. Noise levels are appropriate for a quick meeting or intimate dessert option. There are cute little gifts such as mugs, sweets, and other novelties, especially being recently infiltrated with the Hello Kitty stuff. The "biskies" are very delicate and unique looking, though a bit on the pricey side though for such a tiny confection. The cakes are visually astounding and layered with more frosting and cake than you can count. The cake portions though are very dry and dense, and when you combine those two qualities, it makes for an unsatisfying palatable experience, as if you have crumbling scone mix sloshing around in your mouth. In my humble opinion, this is one of those instances where the novelty looks better than it tastes. The staff are very helpful in explaining each confection, and they are very kind as well.

It's taken me a while to write this because I was so shocked by their behaviour. I placed a large order as a surprise for my mum for her birthday. All went well to begin with until they changed the delivery date and brought it forward. Cakes arrived on Thursday for a party on a Saturday. I got in touch before dispatch and asked them to delay but engagement was minimal and difficult. After escalating and not making progress I tracked down one of the owners on LinkedIn and reached out directly. They were nice to my face in messages but then went behind my back and contacted the managing director of my company to complain about me. This was a personal order and nothing to do with my work. At all times I was professional with them and I can't believe they crossed that boundary. Needless to say, the cakes were not what was advertised and what was meant to be a lovely day was disappointing for me. I didn't tell anyone about it at the time and was mortified that I had to have a conversation with my managing director. Thankfully he knew me well and when I showed him my exchanges with the company and owners he laughed and called them pathetic. Still can't believe they contacted my boss. Extremely unprofessional. Never order from this company.

Where do I start? The cakes, even before you taste them, are drool worthy and a visual delight. The 'biskys' will leave you loitering at the minimalist counter for what seems like ages, turning the most decisive person into the most indecisive as they try to work out which of the wide variety of gorgeous flavor combinations they want to try. The staff are always on hand to give you some recommendations - from their personal favorites to the newest snacks, they're really knowledgeable of the brand and all the ingredients used, not to mention where they were sourced. Perfect for those who have allergies, as they won't steer you wrong just for a sale. Cutter & Squidge isn't the cheapest of places, but it's clear that the final product wasn't sacrificed to make a quick buck here. There is love in every single biskie and cake on sale in the spacious, airy cafe. Well worth a visit with pals if you're in Soho and hankering for a sweet treat. If you're anything like us and over order? No worries, they have you covered with take away boxes if you'd chosen to sit in.

I am not one for buying cake these days if only because I am not a fan of sickly sweet treats that favour the visual over the taste. While a pretty cake is lovely, something that tastes good is preferable. Cutter and Squidge is beautiful and delicious! There are so many flavours to choose from and the combinations are fantastic. I had two biskies and a slice of cake which admittedly was way too much but I couldn't choose! Luckily they gave me a box to take my uneaten cakes home. I recommend the Eton mess cake and the rhubarb biskie, they were both amazing. The coffee is decent enough too.

Been to the hello kitty afternoon tea and I had a amazing time! I really enjoyed my experience and the attention to detail in everything. I hope they do more amazing collaborations! Ever since I have always gone here whenever I feel like having a spot of tea and a great biskie! Even when I am meeting friends and catching up this is a great place to go for something different and unique. Staff are lovely and are always helpful and friendly. Their drinks menu is so different and fun. I ordered the pineapple ice cream float and it was a great.

Had a fantastic time in Saturday at the Hello Kitty pop up cafe, downstairs at this cafe in central London. Upstairs is light and bright, with pretty cakes and decor everywhere. There is also good quality merchandise for sale. In the summer they sell icecream outside of their window too. Downstairs, the main point of my visit this weekend, was Hello Kitty. My photos will show just how cute it was! At £40 a head it wasn't cheap, but none of us could finish all the food, so had to box it up to take home! Tea and lemonade was bottomless too! The food was delicious and obviously fresh. They hadn't skimped on anything. Service was also great-the staff were so sweet! I would definitely be happy to pop back again!

I stopped by and got their last piece of s'mores cake!! It was delicious! It ha chunks of chocolate cake, mixed with homemade soft marshmallows, with a graham cracker crumble. They still had lots of cake slices available and I wish I got more to try!

My friend took me to afternoon tea at the Genie's Cave at Cutter and Squidge. It far exceeded my expectations. Genie's Cave is located in the basement of Cutter and Squidge. So, as you enter the shop you pass by all the macrons and cakes in the shop that are perfectly enticing. If I wasn't here for tea, I could see stopping by for something sweet or ordering a cake for a special occasion. The Genie's Cave is decorated in gold coins and purple sparkles. There is a choice of teas and plenty of sandwiches. But the first thing to arrive is the "A Genie's Welcome" made of meringue, raspberry, pomegranate, and pashmak (like candy floss). It was pure sugar and it was superb. Especially if you opt for a class of bubbly with your tea, you'll find this treat particularly sweet. It's such a strong way to start the afternoon tea that I almost have trouble remembering the rest of the food. Some of my favorites included the cucumber and fresh mint finger sandwiches, savoury scone swirls with roasted peppers and feta cheese, peanut butter and jelly macrons, and magic carpet cookies. There is so much to eat, so it is more of an indulgence than a regular occurrence.

Probably a 5 star for presentation. Everything in here looks beautiful & makes your mouth drool! We happened to be passing and were mesmerised by the pretty colours and cake designs. We decided to grab a takeaway box of four biskies (I mean two wouldn't really be enough to get a real flavour for them you know!?) eagerly rushing home to start devouring them we were disappointed that the taste didn't blow us away as we'd expected. It was nice & sweet... But not as spectacular as they look. I'd get these as a cute gift for a friend with a sweettooth. Maybe I need to try their cakes in the future to see if they deserve that extra star!

Tried for two days to book the vegan wizard-themed tea via iPhone, but the booking (which the website states is available online only) would never go through. After the first attempt, a Cutter and Squidge employee suggested perhaps I hadn't filled out all the fields. I was sure I had, but tried again since that was the only suggestion I was given, to no avail. When I was finally able to speak to an employee over the phone, I was told that they knew booking via iPhones was problematic and they needed to look into it. At that point, all the bookings were full and we were simply out of luck. Giving one star for unhelpful, terrible customer service.

Dry, overpriced cakes and biskies :/ I had slices of the pecan cake, carrot cake, and a peanut butter biskie. Maybe I'm used to American baking, but the frosting here was very greasy and the cake kind of fell apart. The biskies were also pretty hard. I don't really understand the hype here. I hate to waste but I had to toss most of the cake :/

I passed by this girly, hipster looking café as I was shopping around the Picaddilly Circus area and decided to walk in and check it out. I was taken by the pastel colored theme and how the decorations seemed to be those reminiscent of a doll house. Not feeling to be in the mood for cake, I ordered several of their homemade truffles in the green tea flavor, salted caramel flavor, and Belgian chocolate flavor. The texture of the filling was very crumbly and just tasted off. The exterior wasn't that much better. Honestly, they reminded me of the fiasco truffles I tried to make in my personal oven when I was 13. At 2 pounds per truffle, I was expecting some gourmet tasting chocolates. Unfortunately, I was disappointed.

So much fun! Really enjoyed the Potion Room experience! They all took good care of us and really did a great job with the thematic experience. We had a group of 15 and by the time we left our host knew all of our names. Everything was delicious and well thought out! My daughter celebrated her birthday and was thrilled with the unique theme!

Very small shop with very tempting selections. I love marshmallows. I am a fan of the cake truffles which was just enough cake. Super friendly service. A little questionable on the Hello Kitty trademark and if any trademarks are being broken here?

I love Cutter & Squidge! It was my first time in, so we ordered a few things. Had a s'mores biskie, a billionaire biskie, and slice of chocolate salted caramel cake and some passion fruit honeycomb for the long flight home. The billionaire biskie was my favourite. Perfect ballot sweet and salty and so very indulgent. The honeycomb is very sticky, but has in intense passion fruit flavour. Unique and really enjoyable. I can't wait to visit again.

I had to check out Cutter and Squidge after seeing such great photos of it online. I'm so glad I did. We had a bit of time to kill before meeting friends for dinner, so we stopped by here. We split two Biskies (basically a soft cookie that they say is between a cake and a cookie filled with delicious fillings): The Salted Caramel 'Smore and the Gingerbread (because it's Christmas!). We also got two pots of tea. I mean it's not cheap, but the tea was really fantastic. So were the biskies. My favorite was the salted caramel one. It had a nice flavor, and the marshmallow was fantastic. It is a bit hard to eat, but thankfully the cookies are soft, otherwise I think everything would fly out. I wanted to come back after dinner for cake, but alas they were closed. I'll be back.

Loved the decor in this place, girly and cute. The cake was moist and soft with a nice cream, coffee done well too. Would advise reading through their menu as they seem to have some hidden gems (unfortunately for us we realized this after we ordered). If you're looking for a super sweet dessert spot in Soho (looks and taste) then it's perfect. Also need to commend them for the lovely scent floating in the air and clean bathroom facilities.

Absolutely beautiful cafe (cool modern white decor, totally pristine). Beautiful cakes. Beautiful new product-- these things called biskies. Basically an ice cream sandwich but with frosting instead of ice cream. But when it comes to the taste factor, it's more of a meh. The flavor options sound great on paper (red velvet, salted caramel s'more), but they just don't taste that great. The cookies don't seem fresh-- pretty dense, like store bought chips ahoy. You can almost taste the preservative. The filling on the s'mores flavor is good, but the meh-ness of the cookie predominates. And at this price (£3.5 - 4 per biskie) you would have to pretty much be perfect.

Cute little place hidden in Soho with very fun and quirky decor. Great coffee and delicious cake (chocolate hazelnut), this place is a must if you're craving something sweet. Of note: if you're down for something extra sweet, they have ginormous milkshakes with so many toppings, but those weren't on the menu, so ask for them!

This cake place is just ok as I feel that the cakes we had at the Hello Kitty tea was only just ok. Also I feel that the afternoon tea was quite expensive. Yes you get a lot of cakes / savouries I must admit but some of the food just did not live up to what I expected like the lychee jelly in a shape of a Hello Kitty face which was cute I must admit but did not really have any flavour to it I felt like I was eating gelatine, the chocolate cakes was not strong in flavour, the pink Hello Kitty face biscuit just tasted like a very buttery shortbread biscuit and a few other cakes just did not meet my expectation in flavour. However I must say though that the cheese scones was delicious and very warm and the marshmellow was awesome tingled on my tongue I also love the apple pie fruit tea just lovely. The decorated room of Hello Kitty was ok I suppose with its stickers on the walls and green plastic foliage with butterflies and lights stuck in between the lights and I loved the corner table which me and my family sat at with all the Hello Kitty pillows etc which in my opinion was the best place to sit. However one wall had nothing on it whatsoever and the music kept on cutting out and not sounding that great when on due to something not being quite right with the speakers. The music also being played was Michael Jackson I wish they played though something Hello Kitty related or something more child like for the children. The staff also did not seem very happy and one did not seem to know answers to questions we had or fulfil our requests. For instance we asked for more strawberries for my niece as she did not want any of the cake just more strawberries and the staff member said she would get us some but the strawberries never came. Also we asked can we take some of the cakes that we had not eaten home at the end of it and the staff member said im not sure about that let me check which was odd but eventually she came back with a box and placed the cakes in them but we was not allowed to keep the one in the plain inexpensive jar. So my overall opinion of this afternoon tea experience is yes you do get lots to eat and drink and you can ask for more (but bear in mind we did with the strawberries and never came) but was the cakes really A1 not really looks yes but taste not so much and some of the staff was not exactly welcoming or happy. I also feel that there is more child friendly / fun afternoon teas out there for a lesser price.

Hello kitty store was more than wow , it's a great place where you can find all hello kitty stuffs and gifts .. They have many cakes flavors it shows amazing ..I tried there lemonade drink it was good I love how it's designed & I like the gold hello kitty ..The price was good it cost £3.50 for the drink ..staff are really friendly .. Amazing store

I had to visit to see the biscuits.. and they were truly too cute! Unfortunately the environment and the looks of the desserts were more memorable than the flavors. Would definitely return for the cakes (the strawberry and peanut cake was delicious) but the ice cream is a very basic soft serve vanilla.

They took my order via their website for my mums birthday. They failed to deliver on her birthday. Then they reorganised the delivery and failed to deliver yet again. Their apology was none existent. They clearly don't care. Their phone system makes it impossible for you to speak to anyone and complain. I have no idea what their products are like but their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced!

I had some time to kill so figured I pop in by and grab a slice of cake after having see Cutter and Squidge pop up on a blog I read (not gonna lie, cant remember whos!) I was a bit upset when the store was closed and looked like it was being refurbed only to discover that it was OK and they've just moved a couple of stores up the road! All was not lost. Obviously I wanted to try one of their signature Biskies and it took me quite some time to decide which of their offerings to try. In the end I settled for the flashiest looking one of the lot; The Billionaire - belgian chocolate, salted caramel and shortbread is finished with real 24 carat gold leaf! What is a biskie you may ask? Well from Cutter & Squidge themselves: "A Biskie is a fresh, unique handmade sandwiched dessert. A creation of biscuit/cookie/cake filled with our special lightened buttercream, handmade jams, caramels and other delights. Not to be confused with a macaron or whoopie pie, a Biskie is a moorish blend of crisp, soft, chewy, cakey and creamy delivering a massive flavour fiesta!" So did it live up to this wondrous claim? Well no, not really. The whole thing was too big to get a bite of everything at once and the cookie bits were hard rather than chewy like I was expected. Don't get me wrong it was good but it wasn't £3.50 good in my opinion. They had some really nice looking cakes on display too so I might try one of those in future but I have to say I was a little disappointed in the biskie.

This cake shop is well worth a visit. I discovered it recently when I was pottering around Soho. I tried some of the biskies from their latest range which I enjoyed with a lovely green tea. The gingerbread latte and chocolate orange flavours were amazing, full of flavour and not too sweet. I don't have a very sweet tooth and I'm not a fan of over sweet cakes but these were the perfect treat. I should add they are also beautifully decorated so I bought a box for my friend as a gift. She loved them too and was still talking about the green tea flavour a few days later!!!! The cafe itself is a very pleasant spot to have a break away from the hustle and bustle of Soho and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be making a return visit to this cafe soon.

Amazing cake selection and biskies. I bet if you pop into this shop, you will definitely want to try something. Very delicious. I've been there twice. I tried both cake and biskies.

Oh my God. Their cookie with buttercream is really good. It's not to sweet which makes is perfect. We were told you could only find them in London. Worth a visit. I tried four different cookies and the salted caramel cookie was the best. They are heavy to eat so two are enough. I shared with a couple of friends

The biskie was one of the most impressive desserts I've had in quite some time. There are so many flavors and every one I've tried was superb. This was a recommendation from my sister who raved out Cutter and Squidge and now I see why. I find that this place is at the top of my London list now simply for their delightful biskie (they have many other lovely treats as well, but this one is so unique). The service is great and the value for money is unbeatable. I would highly recommend this shop for all your sweet needs.

Worst customer experience I've ever had. We had a reservation for tea that we had to cancel because my friend GAVE BIRTH that morning (three weeks early) and the staff refused to cancel or change the reservation to a different time. When I suggested I might come by and pick up the sandwiches and desserts etc to bring to my friend in the hospital, I was told that they "wouldn't transport well" and they were unwilling to package anything up. (How can a sandwich not transport well??) Shockingly horrible and inflexible place that could do with a bit more humanity.

I was over-charged! Double check your bill before you leave as I was getting a few things to take out but they charged me the eat-in prices which added a few pounds to my bill. The cakes (I ate at my own home) were nice sized slices and had a good cream to cake ratio. The cake was moist and had a nice flavor. The cookies in a jar I purchased were ok. Nothing to rave home about. They are not wheelchair accessible so a couple of us could not get in to enjoy.

Cutter and squidge A delightful little place, so cute. The creators of biskies, those are definitely worth a try and they have quite a range on offer! Lovely, helpful and friendly staff. The cakes looked amazing as did the brownies but I wanted to try a biskie but it was really hard to decide on just one. Luckily a friend agreed to half and half so we tried the salted caramel smore and gingerbread biskies. Both really delicious but the smore biskie was so amazing I couldn't resist buying a jar of salted caramel before leaving. They also sell really cute aprons and home made honeycomb, among other things, which were really nicely packaged. So it is definitely staying on my list of places for cute last minute gifts, and while there I am sure I won't be able to resist trying a new biskie. I had some really nice mint tea also- great place for a catch up with friends (especially as this means that you will be able to try more flavours if they are willing to share)

As soon as I heard about the Hello Kitty afternoon tea pop up I wanted to go. Before I could say the words a friend of mine texted me to say she had booked a table for 3 for me, her and her sister! I love Hello Kitty and have done so since I was child. I am a big kid, but I don't care. I love the styling and the whole Sanrio brand. I also love afternoon tea. It's probably one of my favourite treats. I have never heard of Cutter and Squidge. But recently I haven't ventured at all around Soho. The bakery cafe itself is cute, but small. Not surprising for a Soho location when space costs the earth! So after I found out about the pop up I consciously avoided reading anything about it as I wanted it all to be a surprise. It's a popular bakery so when we arrived we there was a bit of a queue plus we didn't realise that the pop up was downstairs, separate from the cafe. The cute branding within the store made up very excited. There was a little delay with our booking, you only get 1 hour and 20 minutes at your table. The hostess looked a bit flustered as people really wanted to stay longer. I understand but it's clearly stated in the booking. After a short wait we followed the Kitty bows downstairs. It's a cuteness overload! I won't go into too much detail as I don't want to spoil the surprise. It's a small but perfectly formed little oasis in the middle of Soho. As a party of 3, I wasn't surprised to be squeezed onto a table for 2. As I mentioned before they don't have much room to play with. Due to the popularity of pop up the staff are kept very busy. We had to wait a little while to order our preferred teas, so I was a little conscious of the time slot. Teas and pink lemonade were served and shortly after our treats arrived. The afternoon tea is served in stacked bamboo steamers. A nice alternative idea but they could have gone to town with a proper cake stand (I am biased as I am a tableware designer). The menu is extensive but I wasn't expecting so much food! Plus you can order more too! My favourites were the cheese scone, marshmallow and Kitty's mud pie. The overall theme was sweet but the savoury twist was good. We couldn't help overhear the table behind us makes some negative comments to the waitress. They said it was all too sweet and overpriced. Afternoon tea is traditionally a sweet meal, that's why you drink gallons of tea with it. I personally don't think it's overpriced. The concept and the novelty experience is part and parcel of the price. Sanrio HQ oversaw all the recipes and styling. Plus the range of treats on offer is fantastic. Was it all to my personal taste, no, but I tried everything and as a group we all liked different elements. For me the pop up was a great success and I would recommend it to any Hello Kitty fans!

We had an absolutely delightful tea in their "genie room." The savory sandwiches and scones were perfectly offset by a beautiful selection of sweets.
