The Best Coffee in Austin

"The East Austin cafe is the epicenter of one of Austin’s OG coffee roasters. Expect a streamlined coffee menu. Takeout orders can be placed in person; there are indoor and outdoor dine-in areas." - Nadia Chaudhury, Erin Russell

The Best Coffee Shops Near SXSW 2020 in Austin | Eater Austin

"One of Austin’s favorite coffee roasters has its flagship cafe in East Austin, complete with beer, pastries, and, of course, coffee, with its own nitro cold brew right on tap. The coffee shop is located in the center of the still rapidly growing neighborhood of East Sixth and Chicon, meaning its an ideal spot to recharge before checking out nearby favorites like Whisler’s, Tamale House East, and Yellow Jacket Social Club, which are sure to be welcome hideaways from the madness of downtown during South By, while still being close enough to be accessible." - Tom Thornton

Another coffee place in Austin inside an apartment complex/hotel. The place is nice and atmosphere is probably the best thing. Service wasn’t the best (the barista was a pretty good singer tho). Coffee the worst part. It doesn’t seem they have a proper espresso machine and I didn’t know that. So I did the mistake of ordering an espresso for there and it came directly from an automatic coffee maker and in a paper cup: push a button and that’s it. It doesn’t give justice to maybe good coffee beans… but who knows? Very disappointing.

What a cherry on top for Natiivo. This “Airbnb hotel” truly shines with Cuvee Coffee on the first floor. Miranda, Dylan, & Alejandro were all so personable & professional. You can really tell they all truly care about being of service to the many different patrons & groups coming through the space. I would come back to stay simply because of the amenities they provide: great coffee, perfectly concocted boozy drinks, that light & bright Austin ambiance, and genuine smiles at the ready! Don’t pass this place up 🤠🤙

Definitely one of the best spots in town. Love the atmosphere and chill vibes in the morning. A great place to get some work done, hold meetings or link up with friends. At night Cuvée transforms into a fun little bar where you can get your drink on before a night out or just a chill place to hang and sip on a glass of wine. Also, Cuvée is conveniently located near Rainy St. Which is a major plus. The best thing about cuvée hands down is the staff. Miranda is such a thoughtful and helpful person. Don’t like anything on the menu, ask her to mix something up for you and she’ll happily do so. Also shout out to Alejandro, Augie, Dylan and Mackenzie as well. Finally, a note on the coffee. Cuvée is known for their nitro cold brew, definitely worth a try. But I am partial towards the Texas teddy. Super sweet and delicious l. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

Had such a great experience thanks to Augie and Mackenzie! Augie made the best espresso martini I’ve ever had—so smooth, perfectly balanced, and just what I needed. The vibe was amazing—cool, welcoming, and just the right mix of lively and laid-back. The drink menu was impressive, and both Augie and Mackenzie had fabulous recommendations that totally hit the mark. Can’t wait to come back!

This place has been amazing during our stay at the Natiivo. Amazing coffee and drinks served daily all in the convenience of our condo. The servers have all been nothing short of kind and wonderful. Dillon and Augie gave us tons of local recommendations and were both very personable. Highly recommend! :)

I came back from going shopping at Walmart and we had our car parked with valet , we checked out at 10:44 pm at Walmart I walked in at around 11pm and asked if they were still open and she said “ yes we are open until 12am” , I ordered one frozen margarita and sat in the lobby to wait for my boyfriend bc he was out side smoking . I went back up at 11:45 , 45 minutes after ordering my margarita and asked if I could get one to take upstairs and she told me she wouldn’t serve me again . She was serving all the guys at the bar and wouldn’t serve me I guess because I’m a woman . Here is the receipt of my purchase and time and also my receipt from when I checked out at Walmart and I had not had anything to drink before the one margarita she served me and 45 minutes later I asked for another and she refused to serve me but was serving all the men at the counter . I ordered a drink at 11:03pm and asked for another at 11:45pm

MIRANDA is the ABSOLUTE best! The coffee was amazing, the cocktails were superb, and the conversation was beautiful! Everyone that works the cafe is kind, accommodating, and always aware of the guests. Their friendliness is a major reason as to why we kept coming back!

Yelp
The baristas and servers here were atrocious - they all seemed like they didn't want to be there, had weird/pretentious hipster attitudes, and were very short and mildly unpleasant. The breakfast sandwiches are reheated sandwiches that you probably can get from Costco - definitely not what you'd expect or want for the $7+/cost. Coffee was decent and lattes/cold brews were tasty and well made. Muffins/breakfast pastries looked like they came from the store and just repackaged. Plenty of indoor seating area, as the coffeeshop is attached to the adjacent hotel/lobby. We were in a bit of a bind for breakfast prior to our flight so we decided to stop by. Would probably recommend skipping if you're able to get a coffee or breakfast item elsewhere.

Yelp
Delicious drinks, fast service, and a super cool ambiance! The servers/ bartenders/ baristas here are really friendly and helpful. Their alcohol drinks are strong and delicious, I'm sure the coffee isn't bad either haha.

Yelp
I came here to visit a friend and didn't know there was a cafe right off of Rainey St! I got the pecan pie latte which was really good. It wasn't too sweet which I really liked. The ambiance was good, there were a bunch of people there for the bar as well so it was pretty loud. I did think the service was a little rude though, but I didn't interact much with them.

Yelp
Cuvee is located in Natiivo and has great drinks and food. It is a quiet space with many tables to work or chat with friends. Highly recommend!
