Had a super disappointing experience with this store yesterday (Saturday). We had driven out of the way to go to Abbott Kinney cause I wanted to pick up an insert for my tote. We arrived at the store at 6:30pm. You can see in the photo and as listed here on google that their closing time is 7pm on Saturdays… well, the door was locked when I tried it and the employees were deep in conversation with each other. When I tried the door both the employees glanced over at me and proceeded to continue talking to each other without so much as an acknowledgment. Yikes, cuyana.

Wonderful purses and clothes. Everyone I give a gift from here loves their gift. Excellent exceptional customer service from Sam with complicated return and item purchase.

I had a great experience both times I came in and while speaking to people over the phone. Like many retailers, their hours are changing because of staffing. I arrived at 6:02 to find the door locked but people inside. The manager (totally forgot her name, pretty with dark hair) let me in, explained the situation, and said she would be happy to help me. I knew exactly what I was looking for and needed it embossed with initials. She happily did everything while I got to look around. I came back to look at another item and had another great interaction with a gentleman. Great staff and wonderful products!

Poor customer service. When I purchased a bag I asked about an additional strap, Maria told me it wasn’t included and would be an additional charge which I was fine with. I then asked for a gift box but this time she failed to tell me it was an additional cost probably knowing I’d turn it down ($13 for a gift box). I had a promo code which she entered and decided she didn’t like the amount (10% off) that was taken off so she applied her own $20 off which was lower than the 10%. Doesn’t say anything and didn’t provide a receipt but said it would be emailed. I was extremely disappointed once I saw the email of her poor bait and switch tactics. Ended up returning everything and going to the palisades location, which was so much better.

Excellent experience today shopping! I was warmly greeted by Harry, who knew everything about the clothes line and made perfect suggestions. My new favorite store by far. The two "shop dog mascots"' Fred and Charlie, were an added plus. Perfect in every way. Thank you Harry!

I love Cuyana, I own several of their products in all categories. Quality, style and craftsmanship is excellent. I recommend this store for anyone looking for a timeless addition to their wardrobe that is produced responsibly. Their Abbot Kinney store has limited selection, the staff was super nice and helpful but a little bit intense for someone who enjoys shopping alone.

I made an appointment online via their website (Listed here https://www.cuyana.com/visit-us/venice.html) to help with hat sizing. Even received an email and text confirmation, however, when I showed up they looked at me with bewilderment and said there are no such things as appointments. They were still able to help me and were kind about it, but wish they were a bit more knowledgeable about their own processes and what's listed on their site.

I had been eyeing some stuff online but decided to come to the store to check it out. Worst decision ever. It was a slow morning with 2 staff and they could not be bothered. The male was probably cleaning his nails and the female was too busy unpacking items to help. The 2 stars are for their products which are well priced and well made.

Customer service is the worst one on Abbey Kinney Ave. Also I don't think she knows their products well. Need to be trained more.

My first encounter with this place was back in 2017 summer when I was just visiting Venice and came across the store. The staff warmly welcomed me even if I did not purchase anything at that time as their bags would not fit into my luggage. Now as a neighbor, I love visiting the store and use their leather bags every weekend. Very satisfied with its leather quality. Just purchased another leather items for our upcoming abroad trip. I do take good care of my leather items so they are still in good shapes!

Rude and condescending staff AND bad quality bags. Bought a tote a few months ago and all the edge paint has already started cracking and peeling. The prices are too good to be true, cheap=cheap quality. I first called customer service to see what can be done and the girl who answered tried to tell me that it was normal wear and tear and it wasn't covered by the warranty. I asked "how can a bag that is coming apart in a few months be considered normal wear and tear?" She then told me to take it to the store and they can decide after seeing my bag. So I took it in today and met the most condescending sales person ever! Seems like Cuyana staff members hate their jobs and can't be bothered. I was told that the bag would be sent in and I would have to wait three weeks to get an answer of what they would do. Seems like a long time to just make a decision... Since I'm handing over my bag I asked if I can get something like a receipt, reference number or email confirmation regarding my bag and was told "We don't do that" I asked "so you don't give me anything to refer back to this transaction?" To which she replied " Don't worry, I'm not going to just keep your bag in the back and not give it back to you." I was so dumbfounded that I was left speechless and of course also left with no paperwork or email in exchange for dropping off my low quality damaged bag. NEVER will I be buying ANYTHING from Cuyana and NEVER will I recommend it to anyone.

Purchased a small leather handbag about 6 months ago. The sales associate gave me the floor model, which was annoying but I looked it over and it didn't appear damaged at all. Fast forward until now and it's already scuffed and the stitches are coming loose. I've worn it maybe 5 times for max 2 hours. The sales associates are nice, but I don't think I'll be buying from this company again.

The people at this store are so nice! I came to this location on Black Friday weekend to get my tote re-monogrammed since the letters had rubbed off since I'm pretty rough with my bag and use it every day (the rest of the bag has held up great) The main person who monograms at the store, Alfredo, said the turnaround time for a busy season like this could be about 2 days, so I dropped the bag off. To my surprise he, called me an hour later that he actually squeezed it in and my bag was ready to be picked up! The monogram looks even crisper than the first stamping and i feel like i have a brand new bag And the re-stamping was free too!

What a great experience at Cuyana. Solenne the sales associate was very knowledgeable about the products and went above and beyond her job to help my family shop during the holiday season. I would highly recommend going in and using her!!!

This store is so cute. I love both skirts I got. The gentleman that helped me suggested a skirt (which I bought) It the perfect skirt for fall. The color is amazing. And it's a new release item that I got prior to release.

I was home for Xmas break looking for a very specific item for my mom (the monogrammable pink marbled leather laptop case with zip pocket and gold hardware) which unfortunately has been discontinued. I didn't catch her name, but there is a super sweetie employee who walked me through the Cuyana Revive site while we chatted fine leather goods. She was a brunette and had fabulous taste in purses. I will absolutely be back to this location for the incredible service and to talk shop again.

Great store on Abbot Kinney. TJ was super helpful and wonderful. Bought a black Cuyana backpack -- this was my second purchase at Cuyana. My laptop fits perfectly it, excited to use it.

I had to return something that someone had given me not in my state. There were credit card issues etc. Solenne Jines was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and took care of me with patience and kindness. Thank you!!

Enjoy shopping at Cuyana in Venice. I first came in for the tote bag (which I use every day). Then I looked around at their clothing line, which is amazing. -Alfredo helped me pick out a slip dress/ sweater set that I looked and felt good in. So nice to have a boutique in the area to try on before purchasing. -I appreciate Cuyana's Brand fashion design, quality, price point. The store is always well maintained , peaceful aesthetic, and staff is super helpful.

I'm very disappointed in the quality of the hats. The style is super amazing and the price was good so I bought the Panama hat and not two weeks later the top of the hat split so I went back and they laughed and told me to put nail polish on it and I shouldn't be touching that part of the hat. How rude. Anyway it continues to erode, unwind, and degrade. Buy a hat somewhere else unless you don't care about quality or customer service.

Have been a fan of this boutique and the company's mission of fewer, better things. The only problem is, I want to buy everything from this store. Their leather goods are excellent and their staff at this Abbot Kinney store have always been wonderful and extra helpful. I just purchased a couple of dresses from their summer collection and I love their fit. So soft and elegant. I hope they release shoes and a sustainable collection as well. That would be five stars for me.

Probably the worst customer service I've experienced in a retail store. I've gone a couple of times, and every time it's the same service; non existent. This time I waited in the front for a couple of minutes, I knew what I wanted since the beginning so I didn't mind waiting, I came to exchange a bag for a different color for my mom. I was the only customer in the store and this lady with long blonde hair just sat in the back knowing I was waiting. I politely said " sorry to bother" and she replied with " oh you're returning" without even glancing at me. She knew I was there the whole time but didn't even bother to help me out or ask if I needed help. She had a terrible attitude so I just returned it and left without anything. We all have bad days I get it but this is the third time.

Love this place!!! The quality of their purses is amazing!! If I could I would buy one of each color! My favorite are there totes. Keep in mind that at the store the have more colors than what the website states. Their staff was extremely helpful and kind. One thing I will mentions is be aware of parking, I stopped by during the weekend and it was difficult to find a parking space.

I went in to buy a couple of things for my girlfriends birthday. I planned on maybe a purse and a small items. Ended up walking out of there with so much more. The sales staff was really nice. The girl there helped me out and pointed out a bunch of great items my gf ended up loving. Don't remember her name, but want to say it was Hannah or Hayley. She was a huge help. The color scheme was really cool. It fit my gf aesthetic. Needless to say i won bf of the year. Wish they had more men's stuff.

I purchased the hobo tan color bag in March and absolutely loved it until now. I've had it in the same punctured hole since I purchased it, but recently it has stretched to the point where my purse has literally fallen off my shoulder on several occasions. It seems like soon it'll be too stretched for the strap to stay on. Huge disappointment.

This pop-up store has now become a permanent store and what a great addition to Abbot Kinney! Love their motto: fewer better things. Cuyana's line of leather bags comes in beautiful colors although I opted for the more traditional caramel. I did purchased a cobalt blue leather pouch online to add some color to my bags. Thought bags were decently priced at $150 for the classic leather tote. Monogramming was an additional $10 and they monogram right in the store.

I absolutely love my structured tote in every way! I purchased a few linen tops last year online that I basically wore all last summer, but this was my first time in the store. I had my 2 year old and 4 year old with me, and the ladies in the store couldn't have been more welcoming, which in a boutique such as this is saying A LOT! I love the functionality of the bag as well as the look. With 3 small children, I'm transitioning out of needing a diaper bag, but still need something large enough to carry everything. This bag checks the boxes. What I love so much about my tote and my two linen tops is that they are beautifully crafted, timeless pieces I can wear forever. Not only because the style is timeless, but the quality and craftsmanship is top notch as well. The addition of the gold foil initials gives it the perfect personalization while still remaining a total classic. It is the perfect balance for me. But moreover, Cuyana is the first brand where I love and covet the pieces because I chose to, not society telling me that this is the bag I should want. When I was in your store, I saw the motto about having fewer, better things and it really struck a chord with me. With a company like this, the Marie Kondo way of life actually seems achievable!

Bought my mom a few travel bags from here. She cannot stop admiring them. The sales staff was professional and the monogramming is beautiful

SO GLAD i went to the store! instead of just ordering online. I actually got to see the amazing quality of the clothes and bags and find my true size (I'm a petite so is hard for me to buy clothes online). I ended up buying more than I had expected but i have no regrets :D also the ladies that helped me were great!!! OH! Terrible customer service and products.  Received a gift from here and went to exchange it.  I told them multiple times I didn't want the person who I received the gift from to find out.  They assured me they would not.  I said I didn't want to exchange the gift if they did.  Sure enough, the person I received the gift from got an email notifying them and asked me if I exchanged their gift.  Everything in the store is a step above Forever 21 for really expensive prices.  I could understand if the quality or style was good, but I'm not sure what they're charging for.

Great, friendly customer service. I walked in asking about a round bag that's not officially released yet. They brought it out from the stock room and said I could buy it now. It was exactly what I wanted! Excellent quality for the price point and so on-trend. Cuyana is a great brand that interprets fashion-forward styles with an eye to practicality so that real women can use the bags. Their prices don't break the bank even though the leather is good quality. Will shop there again!

Love the quality and ease of Cuyana pieces and have been very pleased with several items ordered online. Decided to make the drive to Venice in order to try on some skirts and tops I had been eyeing on the website. Sales associates were all attentive and gave very honest opinions. Not pushy at all and did not try to up-sell me. Ended up getting the wrap skirt in black, a striped silk top, and a purse. So happy with all of my purchases!

I love Cuyana products and have bought several bags from them. However when I went to the store yesterday I experienced some frustrating and disappointing customer service. I spent about an hour looking at bags and wallets and, after speaking with a sales associate, finally settled on a new wallet to purchase. I left it at the store for about 35 minutes to be monogrammed, and when I returned they informed me they had noticed the leather was in bad condition and didn't want to sell me the wallet. I waited another 15 minutes while they checked their SF store for the same wallet to have shipped to me, since they had no more in the Abbot Kinney store, only to be told that it was out of stock and they would have to refund my purchase. At this point I had been either in the store or waiting on my purchase for an hour and a half, only to be told I would have to be refunded for the purchase. I wasn't even told definitively when the wallet would be back in stock. I would have appreciated if any issues with the item were flagged to me before I spent a decent amount of time discussing its pros and cons, getting excited about the purchase and swiping my card, and sitting around waiting for it to be monogrammed. I'm disappointed because I love this store, but will likely look elsewhere for my next purchase.

A treasure! First of all, the price/quality is amazing. Bags seem to either be somewhat mass looking/feeling at this price point and not always great quality OR priced upwards of $1-2K. If you appreciate having nice things and good value, this is it! I chose a Cuyana bag for my birthday gift; my husband and I went into the Venice shop and picked it out and had it monogrammed (fun, since we are still sort of newlyweds). The staff was so nice, the service was great and it really felt like approachable luxury. I will be back for more gifts for myself and for others! Highly recommend popping in if you're strolling Abbott Kinney.

This shop is so gorgeous! I'd been eyeing a bag online and finally stopped by to see it in person, and ended up getting it. They only have a couple of locations and this is the only one in LA. I was so pleased that the quality of their product is even better than I hoped. I love the "fewer better things" philosophy and will be back next time I need a wardrobe staple.

I ordered $500 worth of product from here. This company has beautiful branding and I love their mantra of less is more. I purchased two wallets, a card pouch and a white purse. I was blown away by the lack of quality. I was so stunned that I showed the items to a few others to gain their perspective and they all agreed. For the prices they charge, they should be providing better products. Returned everything except for the card pouch. Customer service was very helpful. I wish I weren't writing this because I was really looking forward to these items! 3 stars for branding and customer service!

My go-to purse tragically broke this week so I've desperately seeking a quality leather bag without breaking the bank. My friend told me about Cuyana so I checked out the site and fell in love with the cinche bag. I went to the store to see it in person and it's exactly what I thought it was going to be and the quality of leather is wonderful. The staff was lovely and I had an great experience at this store.

High-quality product, sub-standard customer service. The sales associates were visibly overwhelmed, and did not acknowledge me for over five minutes while I waited less than five feet away from the checkout counter. Granted, it was holiday season, but don't most retailers expect higher traffic in December?

The exact same thing that happened to Alicia happened to me!!!!!!! We have several Cuyana items, and they asked me to fill out the survey . which I did. They said I would get a T-shirt. When It was unavailable they gave me a $40 credit that was good till December 31. When I went to use it, they told me that they had changed the date on it and it expired soon after they sent it to me. This is a very shady business practice. I was about to buy a couple of other bags from Cuyana. I won't be buying from them again. They obviously can't be trusted to stand behind their products.

I ordered my first bag/tote online and fell in love. I visited the store in Venice beach and purchased another bag in a different color and brought my daughter. I got her the small cross body bag (monogrammed) and she is hooked. She has since brought a friend to shop and they each bought a tote. I am going to order the new black pants. Can't wait to try them. I think the zip around wallets will be Christmas gifts for both my daughter and me. Clearly I love Cuyana! :)

I have been to Cuyana SF (before the renovations) and I was in the area for Cuyana Venice so I decided to drop by. I first had trouble finding the location but we found street parking and google mapped our way to it. When we first walked in, we were greeted with their friendly staff. All the workers really seemed to love their job and answered all my questions with their honest opinions. I adore the manager here! She is so nice and I loved how she really stood by all their products and mentioned how she bought Cuyana items for herself and friends. She is also very knowledgeable about the business aspect of Cuyana (my boyfriend asked her some things about the credit card service they used). I walked away with the small carryall tote that I've had my eye on for 6 months and I am completely satisfied! I love the price for the quality of geniune Argentine leather!

Can't recommend this place enough for personal gifts at such reasonable prices. I have been several times and they always are incredible. The ladies in the shop are so helpful and the items themselves are fantastic. I've ordered online a few times and tried to deal with the customer service on two occasions and it is night and day from the friendly, accommodating employees in the store. Lesson learned-only shop in the store!

Last March, my daughters and I each purchased a Cuyana tote and had them monogrammed while we waited. The staff was so helpful and so nice! It was fun watching them do the monogramming while we waited. The bags are a very high quality leather....incredibly soft and very light. They are such a great tote for everyday use or for traveling. We are all so happy with them that I decided to get one as a gift for my niece. I called the store and spoke to Kelsey who did an exceptional job in getting the bag monogrammed and then had the bag overnighted to New York so my niece would receive it in time for her first Mother's Day. Thank you Kelsey for the excellent customer service and thank you Cuyana for the beautiful leather goods!

If there is a retail soul-mate out there for me...this is the one! The one I will never let get away! So many things to rave about, we can start with the quality & craftmanship of each item I've purchased. Saddlebags in multiple colors, backpack, cosmetic bag....list will continue to grow b/c I am allowing myself to be on a rationing program with a new purchase every few months :) The customer service is impeccable, I really was impressed by the staff in the Venice store and later in the NYC popup (which I really hope re-opens soon), even the customer service (phone/email) have always been pleasant. At this price point, you can not ask for more in a retail store. Wish Cuyana much success.

fewer better things - they hit the nail! good quality, real leather, Italian bags - I'm in love!! I visited this shop twice and both times the staff was just unbelievable. super gorgeous women working there. very helpful, don't pressure to buy.. you can feel that they love their goods and don't just want to make money. I'll save up money and get another bag at some point! THANK YOU for treating me that good.

I recently purchased Cuyana's classic leather zip tote and was very disappointed. I was so excited for this bag as I agree their products look beautiful online and had been eyeing this bag for quite awhile, but for the price ($195) the quality was really lacking. The bag has no structure whatsoever. Unless I literally had books or gym shoes in the bottom of the bag it fell like a giant sack and wouldn't even remain upright when sitting on my lap resulting in a really cheap looking bag. The straps also slip over one another and routinely fall off of the shoulder. After carrying this bag for about two weeks I retired it in the back of my closet and won't likely bring it out again. I later mentioned it to a friend who had a similar quality complaints with a Cuyana bag she purchased. Maybe this is why they don't feature any product reviews on their website...unfortunately, I won't be shopping here again.
