Where to Eat and Drink in Portland’s Arbor Lodge Neighborhood

"In a town with plenty of perfectly inoffensive but forgettably adorned coffee shops, Cyclemaster’s two-fisted embrace of scooter-mad character is refreshing, if something of an acquired taste. Cyclemaster brews vibrant beans from its sister Two Strokes Coffee amid new and vintage motor scooters and local art hung on charcoal-colored walls. The weekday food offerings are typically modest, but weekends usually offer breakfast sandwiches. When not hosting the occasional engine-revving bike meetup, Cyclemaster is a terrific mellow midday hangout on Lombard." - Nathan Williams

This is the closest coffee shop to my house and working remotely, I often need to get out of my house to go work somewhere else for a bit. Pros: Coffee, tea, and food is delicious. I LOVE that they have vegan options. The chickpea salad is scrumptious. Staff is always very friendly. Cons: The seating is TERRIBLE, especially if you're going there to work. First, there's just not a lot of tables despite having plenty of room. There's only one table that has chairs with backs and it seats 6, so I feel bad sitting there (if it's even open). The other tables are small and round, which makes it hard to get a laptop, mouse, and coffee on the table top. Plus, the stools are wood and brutally uncomfortable. Please, please, please get some more tables and comfy chairs.

Friendly and helpful staff. I got the avocado toast with an egg on top. To my surprise they add fruit with it on the side. Delicious food at a reasonable coast.

I love this coffee shop so much. The coffee is amazing with great specialty drinks( my fav is the overlook). The atmosphere is welcoming and fairly quiet and they allow dogs. 10/10 would recommend

Been living in the area temporarily for the past few weeks. This neat little coffee shop is a bit of a hidden gem of the area if you ask me. Great coffee and friendly staff/atmosphere. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to relax and have a late.

Guys, I specifically asked for something and the guys said O.k. and then does something different and makes my drink watered down. I hate this tipping culture where you tip first and then they give you bad service. I tip well and want to be supportive but stuff like this makes me not want to return. I guess I could say something and ask it to be remade but I don't really feel like being that guy. Instead, I'll be this guy...

Really cool place with awesome staff! Bags of beans are great with lots of variety and you get a free cup of drip with them. Espresso drinks seem to be not very consistent (from my experience at least) and tend to taste over extracted (burnt, bitter, dry). I’m sure that’ll improve with time though!

The best coffee and the best staff. I’ve been doing my homework all day at this coffee shop for the past few months but recently moved to AZ and I’m already missing it so much. Kayla, Cheyenne, Elliot, Casey, Kaitlyn, Austin, and Wes, you guys are so awesome! Thanks for being so friendly and welcoming and thanks for creating such an awesome coffee shop! I will be back when I visit Portland ❤️

My favorite coffee spot in Kenton; chill atmosphere, great drinks and the staff is always really lovely. Love that they keep a rotating gallery too.
