The building is awesome, yes. Over a good span of time, unsettling experiences, mainly its about the lack of treatment of diversity. To explain that furthermore, it's like a difference in actions of racial bias- the staff who's Caucasian seems to only treat that same group with sincere care along with ignoring the uneasiness of same group that visits. With experiencing and seen/ witness different situations that could be handled professionally. The staff who's of any other ethnic background does better with equality, treating every person the same. I'm speaking for fairness ok, example of racial bias that happened: a person came in sat down with headphones on with music playing in ear but must have been too loud for the staff member (less than a minute approached for the volume) meanwhile another person came in walked around loudly talking for minutes, even the librarian(s) walk around loudly talking with visitors. There's other situations although the point is near clear. The inside voice or volume of noise factor is not being utilize equally, guided or monitored. Nearly feels like an unwelcoming for some. It's seen and tolerated, only some would actually speak on so please evaluate and moderate. Thanks for your consideration because someone has to, consider what's what. I personally like the area of space, it is being misuse kinda- layman terms.

The staff at Cynthia Graham Hurd library are awesome. They are always ready to help me, whether it's with the copying system, using the computer for research, or questions about my cell phone. John Strasburg is top-notch when it comes to teaching classes on technical issues or genealogy. He is always well-prepared for his classes, but more importantly, he has the heart of a teacher. He cares about his patrons, and it shows. Thanks to the whole staff! KLL

Excellent neighborhood library where you can access the entire country's resources. Wonderful knowledgeable staff that are also friendly and helpful. Computers, copiers, flash drives, DVD/Computer rentals and fax services available. This is a tax we all pay and we can all enjoy our tax dollars at work. Notary service available.

This library is fantastic! They have a toddler room which was very helpful when trying to help my older child complete a project. And the librarian, Joanne, was amazing! She let my daughter interview her for a special project and then let her practice presenting her presentation to her. She was so helpful and kind!
