Updated 2025.02.21. We came to see Caberet, an entertaining musical, very timely political serious undertone of the rising Nazi power in Germany, a reflection of politics in the U.S. Captivating, thought provoking show, especially the ending scene, highly recommended. Updated 2024.02.25. We came for the musical Clue and it was quite an entertaining funny musical. I laughed alot and enjoyed this performance. Highly recommended, performances are usually sold out, book in advance.

I will NEVER see another performance here again. I went to see Clue the Musical, loved the performance but the theater was really warm and I needed to get up to go to the restroom. I went to return to my seat and one of the employees or volunteers yanked my arm and made me sit down by the door. I wasn't trying to be rude or disrespectful to the performance I just was trying to return to my seat. At NO POINT EVER should someone touch a guest in that way ever. That interaction was so incredibly negative it ruined the rest of the performance for me and sat in tears just waiting to return to my family. The host at least had the decency to apologize for that experience but by then it was too late. I highly recommend briefing the audience before the start of the performance about where to sit if you have to get up to go to the bathroom.

2nd grade field trip to watch Fancy Nancy. The characters were great, and the songs were fun! The kids liked it when they were asked questions and got to interact with the cast. Thank you Cyrano's Theater Company for putting on such a fun show!!

I saw Cabaret there and cried my glitter off. Moving performance in such an intimate theatre. Staff was accommodating and it looks like they have a great line up this year.

Not an impartial review.....tonight was wonderful. Got a chance to play live with Rosanne Cash, welcomed by the audience in support of Veteran rehabilitation through music and all together amazing experience.

An intimate experience watching a play here, almost like watching a show at a nightclub. They make a great use of the small stage space and do a great job with scene changes.

Small balck box theater. The show was great and the people working here were very friendly and helpful.

Dog Park Play! For a small playhouse, it made a memorable performance for our vacation. I also enjoyed the art gallery.

Yelp
I had kind of forgot about our little gem of a theater Cyrano's! To be completely honest the last time I went to a play here was when it was still downtown. I feel terrible I've neglected our wonderful little art house. The theater itself is so perfect and intimate, you feel absolutely immersed in the action when you're there. The volunteer staff is as friendly as could be, and amazingly helpful. The concession stand features LOCAL soda brewer Beach Tribe Sodas by Mike Jipping as well as Alaska made chocolates. They also have complimentary bottled water for patrons. The ticket prices are very reasonable. *pro tip- call them directly to purchase your tickets and skip the "booking fee" center ticks charges.

Yelp
This is a terrific local theater with well curated shows and delightful acting. The theater is quite small and probably sits somewhere in the vicinity of 75-100 people. This means there really isn't a bad seat in the house. I was introduced to Cyranos in December of 2022 when I came for The Twelfth Night. The ability of actors and actresses to perform Shakespeare is, to my understanding, the measuring stick of truly superb acting. And the performers were excellent. They applied well thought out subtext and demonstrated an excellent command of the original language. I was hooked and could not wait to return for more plays. Since then, I have returned for two additional plays: The Book Club and First Day, the Musical. In addition to great acting and singing, the stage designs show an attention to detail and lots of forethought. Each time, I feel like I am walking into a brand new setting. Add the excellent lighting and sound folks back stage, and it's a truly amazing experience. Every performance I have viewed also comes with a new and exciting art gallery on display. The artwork is always intriguing. Additionally, they have a box office with coffee, tea, locally made soda, and a few snacks. I highly recommend this theater. They are doing an excellent job. I will caution you on one thing: parking. It is sort of a nightmare. This is not the place to try and show up at the last minute. Come early and expect there to be some Tetris involved in finding a spot. In winter with large snowfall, the road where many park becomes even more difficult to navigate.

Yelp
Saw 'she kills monsters' - it was a fabulous performance ... made me Laugh and cry and cheer! The venue was comfortable, YES bistro provided refreshments. A very good way to spend the evening. The show touched home... everyone has struggles... is looking for acceptance and love. There is hope that if we travel this life /adventure with friends... we face adversity and challenges and hopefully grow in our faith in ourselves and in community with friends. AND... we have FUN along the way... thank you!!! Bravo

Yelp
This theater is a gem in Anchorage Alaska; home to many local talent. They have quite the task of producing about 16 productions a year, not including reading series and collaborations with nearby producing companies. The space is quaint and intimate which enhances the theater experience. The seating is comfy & quite comfortable.

Yelp
Saw Disenchanted here. Cute show. Cute theater. I'd definitely come back. Come early to get good parking and pick your seats. They have a lounge serving pre prepared appetizers and wine. Average prices.

Yelp
We had a two for one ticket deal, and had to get our tickets from the playhouse directly... we called for a week prior to the show and NO ONE returned our calls! That, I must say, was very frustrating. However, the show we saw... Jihad Jones and the Kalasnikov Babes was a fun one! Cyrano's is so small front row seating is possibly three feet from the stage area which makes for quite the experience. The size and decor of the place is cozy and inviting, the people involved all bring a lot of nice energy, and the two plays I've seen there have been great. Overall, if you're interested in a more intimate type show, stop in here... shows usually run Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Yelp
Saw the Great American Trailer Park here. Loved every moment. So impressed with the caliber of the acting, singing, choreography, staging and musical support. What a great gift to the local community -- and visitors to Anchorage should definitely take advantage and see this local performance. Awesome job!!

Yelp
Cyrano's is such a fun hole in the wall. I'd lived in Alaska for about twenty years before i finally checked it out and was so impressed! It isn't Broadway, but it was enjoyable. The wine prices weren't outrageous and it had a very comfortable feel to it. It is affordable and convenient--there's no reason to not check it out and be pleasantly surprised that Anchorage has so much to offer that isn't touristy.

Yelp
Cyrano's is a tiny theater with a lot of personality. We saw a play called "Bark" with a cast of six dogs -- well, people in the roles of dogs. It was fun, well done, thoroughly enjoyable. It was the high point of a weekend visit from Fairbanks, 350 miles to the north. My wife and I will be back, probably as often as we get to Anchorage. If I had to pick a word or two to describe the experience, I would mention "comfortable" and "relaxed". It was also nice to have a glass of wine and no hassles while watching the play. Highly recommended (based on a single experience).

Yelp
Great place to see some really innovative and well produced plays. The bookstore is really great too - they've had poetry slams and readings there. Its wonderful that Anchorage has a place like this.

Yelp
Adorable little playhouse that is casual, intimate & friendly. I like that the small stage and limited seating ensure you are no further than 4-5 rows from the actors. During intermission, the small lobby facilitates actual mingling with other patrons. Musicians who play during interludes are quite good. Some productions are great, some are so-so, but all are enjoyable. Alaska is lucky to have a place for live theater like this one.

Yelp
We love Cyranos! They are professional actors who treat each performance as if they were on a New York stage. We cannot run out of good things to say :).
