Very nice small bakery on 29th. They do have some breakfast items in addition to pastries and other bakery items. The scone was very nice. The bottled orange juice was average. The have floats and milkshakes which would be good during the warmer parts of the day. Service was welcoming, fast and efficient. They were keeping up with a steady stream of customers. The space has a few tables inside along with limited counter seating and four more small tables outside. They do have password protected Wi-Fi for guests. There is limited on street parking, but many more spaces in the lot behind the store.

We ordered the classic croissant, classic cinnamon role and the specialty apple pie cinnamon roll. The croissant was cooked perfectly with a flaky crust just as we anticipated. The apple pie cinnamon roll was fresh and the apples were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of cinnamon and sugar. The classic cinnamon roll was the one item that let me down it was rather dry on the outside. The frosting was excellent just not moist enough to keep the roll fresh. If we had only gotten those items the rating would have been higher.

LATE REVIEW BUT MUCH NEEDED TO POST! This post is originally supposed to be for the Uptown location however, it’s now closed but I wanted to take the time to post since I wasn’t able to post back in July. I ordered my wedding cake from D Bar Uptown and let me tell you guys it was the most beautiful and delicious cake. My now husband and I did the TO-GO cake tasting which was a lot of fun and we picked up from the Central Park location. At the time I was working with Michelle (in bakery) who was able to make my wedding cake exactly how I wanted. We ended up going with a Red Velvet, Passion Fruit Curd and berries and let me tell you guys it was the most delicious combo. Not only did I fall in love with the inside, the outside, was beautiful. Definitely recommended! Also, my cake was delivered to the venue which made it so convenient. For reference: this size served around: 25-30 people

Best croissant I’ve ever had! Everything they make is absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend! The staff are great and the food and drinks are delicious.

Google
Absolutely one of the friendliest places in Central Park area! The owners delivered a fantastic thanksgiving treat. They have that special welcoming touch!

Google
The Food was absolutely incredible. The brussel sprouts, All of the Sandwiches, and the creme brulee was very very good. If you are visiting Denver, this place is a must eat especially if you are on a budget!

Google
An all-time favorite Denver spot close to home. I think I’ve had everything there. I like that they’ve added some more happy hour options, too!

Been here a few times now and have yet to try anything that was not excellent!!! Brilliant pastry’s and cream puffs and cupcakes and cakes… just an amazing selection and wonderful coffee with cappuccino and lattes

Yelp
I used to go to their dinner location downtown until it closed. Very sad about that, but that's not what this review is about! If you love yummy treats and want something special for a special occasion, please check them out!

Yelp
Cute little bakery on the North Side of town. Decided to mainly come here since they are open a couple hours later than other coffee shops and bakeries in the area. They don't have drip coffee, so I had to get a cappuccino, which was good but not mind-blowing. Desserts overall were priced reasonably - a decent sized cupcake for $4. Cupcake was a little too sweet but still good. Service was fast but it's mostly an order at the counter and then minimal interaction with staff, so hard to comment too much.

Yelp
Loved the passion fruit chocolate mousse I got! It was such a delicious blend of soft light chocolate mousse with a punchy passion fruit flavor! I was really impressed. D bar's desserts feel like the kind of thing I crave while watching The Great British Baking Show. The store was busy on Valentine's Day and they were out of a lot of things by mid/late afternoon. There's limited indoor seating here, but my friend and I were able to get a middle seat with some empty tables to either side of us. It would have been a little crowded/cramped otherwise. Service was good and fast!

Yelp
The world's most perfect chocolate cupcake. I was near this location because it's near my doctor's office and I wanted to treat myself after going there. The chocolate cupcakes are moist, rich, and the frosting is fudgy and not too sweet. Basically perfect. I got a funfetti cupcake too. It was also good, but the chocolate one captured my heart.

Yelp
The ambiance of the shop is cozy and cute and they have a few outdoor seats too, though the traffic can be a bit loud. Service was really nice, though I didn't realize until after that they got my order wrong, and didn't feel up to going back inside and asking to change it. I was a bit disappointed in the cupcakes as the frosting for the chocolate cupcake was very sweet, and for the vanilla raspberry cupcake it wasn't sweet at all. Both were on the dry side. I did really like the raspberry filling in the vanilla cupcake. But overall I expected a bit more from $4 cupcakes.

Yelp
I don't ever recommend coming here. i came here the other day and ordered a latte. the latte was pretty average, but that is not why I am rating this place 1 star. When it was time to pay the cashier rang me up for the latte and flipped the screen toward me. The cashier had put an 18% tip on the screen without asking if I wanted to tip, and would not let me change to the no tip option. this was on top of the 5% automatic gratuity they add to every order. I would. not have been so upset with the automatic tip if the service was good, but the person taking my order/ ringing me up did a mediocre job. So if you don't want a greedy sub par cashier than stay far from this place.

Yelp
I'm sad to say that I've been ordering a custom birthday cake from here for about 5 or 6 years now, and I will no longer be ordering from them anymore. Usually, we all really love the cake in my family. I always get the vanilla with macaroons, and sub the filling for lemon. It's always been delicious, but this year I'm really sad to say it was very bland. The cake was beautiful, and the filling/macaroons were delicious. But the frosting and cake were both very bland and tasted of nothing. I honestly feel there would have been a larger flavor profile in a $4 candy bar. I usually ordered from the Denver location in Uptown, but since they permanently closed, I ordered from Central Park. I'm not sure if it's because they moved locations or what, but truly, the cake was not worth the money we paid for it. It was super bland, a bit dry, and not worth the $70 we paid for a custom cake. I'm sad to say I will no longer be ordering from here after years of loving this place and their cake.

Yelp
I pass this shop regularly on my way to work and was finally able to stop on my way to brunch at a friends house. I'm so glad I was able to stop in! Got a variety of treats to share with friends who all loved them! We had a cruffin, cinnamon roll, lemon curd poptart, and several other incredible pastries. I will definitely be stopping in again! The shop is so cute and has such a great variety of items. The staff was also quite friendly! Can't wait for my next visit!

Yelp
At the time of payment for my food I tapped No Tip with the intention to leave a cash tip. When my food was brought outside I asked for an itemized receipt because the charge was higher than at the register. The server told me the extra was for his tip. I told him I did not leave you a tip on my credit card. He asked if I wanted him to take it off and I said yes. Well he never took it off. This was $3.00 but that is not the point. He gave himself the tip which is dishonest. This business also charges a service charge. My bill was $18.00 and my credit card charge was $21.00. This does not sit well with me. I'm not going to make a big deal and report him for $3.00 but I'm sure he does this to others. So buyer beware at DBar Central Park.

Yelp
I have gotten a few desserts here and their products have been hit or miss for me. I just stopped here with my daughter for an espresso and pastry in the morning. The girl was friendly but didn't ask if we were dining in or taking out. She served the espresso in a paper cup anyway. Then I ordered a bomboloni (Italian style doughnut) and it was served cold in a plastic takeout container. I did ask after eating a little of it to warm it up as it definitely tasted off cold. We were sitting down at a table to enjoy. I just feel the service should be better for an upscale dessert cafe that does coffee service and has a cafe sit down setting. If it was just a to-go counter, I would understand this lack of service.

Yelp
Came in for grab-and-go cupcakes and left with those, a tiramisu, and a roasted tomato tart. All were really very good. 4.5 stars because pricing was just a touch on the high side.

Yelp
D Bar is a cute little pastry and coffee shop also offering things like avocado toast, grilled cheese and breakfast burritos. The sweets on display all looked amazing and I'll definitely have to come back to try them. This morning, I decided on a vegetarian (this and bacon are the options) breakfast burrito. If you're in a hurry, I would advise against ordering this as it took a long time to nuke (and/or toast). The burrito is ok in size and comes with a side of green salsa. The salsa is tomatillo heavy, which I enjoyed, but might not be everyone's favorite. The burrito was a little difficult to eat as it was falling apart and crazy hot - like ridiculously burning my mouth hot. It's not the worst breakfast burrito I've had, but definitely not the best. I'll have to be back to try the sweets since that's their specialty.

Yelp
This location has cost our family big time! In both $ and calories. Conveniently located in the 29th Ave shops right around the corner from King Soopers and 1st Bank. So many tasty treats. They also have sandwiches and salads too but I never buy those. ONLY desserts The offerings change daily so don't delay and come back thinking your hearts desire will still be there tomorrow. When in doubt buy two !!

Yelp
Was in the area yesterday and thought this was such a cute place I had to stop in. They had lots of deserts but the only ones I tried were the cake pops and a cupcake. The cake pops were not very good. The cupcake was alright. For the prices I feel like they should taste better. The reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is because they charge a 5% charge on top of what you pay. And have the nerve to ask for tip(on the machine that is). You pay this fee wether you pay cash or card. I can't even believe this is legal? My feelings are if you want more money, then charge more for your food. The problem is everything there is already overpriced for the quality. When I mentioned it to the employee who has zero control of this faulty fee, he responds inflation. First off inflation is not going to get better or go anywhere when the businesses only care about themselves. I refuse to support places like this, this is extremely greedy and I will never return. Instead I will be giving my hard earned dollar to people who actually care. I predict this place will close within a year. Greed only gets you so far and from my experience I can't see this place lasting too much longer. Go patronize anywhere else. Nothing good here. I'm being nice btw giving them 3 stars. This place really upsets me and normally I would give them 1 or 2. You have been warned.

Yelp
Great food, top tier desserts, friendly staff. I always love coming here around the holidays for quick and easy ordering. The Christmas cookie boxes (and ones for the kids to decorate) take the cake. It makes life so easy as a mom (thank you!). I especially love the standard warm cookie and ice cream phenomenon that appears on the menu at times. Thanks to all for the best dessert in town!

Yelp
Yummy deserts to go. The Brookie (brownie cookie), all the cookies and key lie pie!! Cute, clean and lovely service. Need to try the sandwiches, which I hear are great.

Sommer S.

Yelp
Sooooo good! D Bar is a treat every time and they seem to have new treats to tempt you, alongside they're usual suspects so they keep you coming back! Service is quick and knowledgeable.

Yelp
I didn't realize how small this location was until I showed up with seven children under 10 and three adults. It was cold and wet outside, so we couldn't use the patio seats. The staff was incredibly nice and patient with our large group and large order. They cracked jokes with kids and made them feel super welcome. The hot cocoas were delicious, and the cloud shaped torched marshmallows were amazing. I would absolutely come back.

Yelp
As a long time fan of D Bar from its original outpost on 17th -- the best location in my view, to the 19th location, and we were excited about a new DBar location in Central Park; our neighborhood. We have been ardent supporters and fans of this local business, but after six visits to the Central Park location our road has come to an end. Every time we have visited, the pasties, cup cakes, have been old and stale. I kept going back as a loyal customer with a hope it was an off day. I wonder if they bringing old pastries from their 19th street location to Central Park? I hope they care about quality and their products improve.

Yelp
Bacon in breakfast burrito wasn't cooked, yuck! It should be somewhat crispy. Wouldn't recommend unless bacon is definitely cooked. Macarons are yummy! Chicken salad on a croissant is pretty good as well.

Yelp
We love the D Bar downtown and were really excited for them to open a branch closer to our home in Central Park. Unfortunately this really should be called Mini D Bar or something else because it is a much reduced version of the main store. It's really a cafe version focused on morning coffee and danishes and then really lacking for anything else. They stop serving food at I believe 2pm so it's not a great place for a late lunch and they really only have the small desserts that are shown in the case. The quality is still good but it's just very lacking compared to the downtown version. I just wish there was a stronger commitment to making this place full service for all the hours they are open.

Steve S.

Yelp
Great food. I especially like the cinnamon rolls. These rolls are some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Jenna C.

Yelp
They did a fantastic job transforming the space. It's welcoming, cozy, and the pastries and coffee are fantastic. The staff are so friendly and they have dog treats if your pup happens to be with you. I'm so thrilled to have this new branch of DBar so close. Go visit!

Yelp
Always get great service here. I live very close to this place and come here once every weekend. Pastries and food are always super good! Coffee is excellent. Place is normally relatively quiet, which makes for a nice experience trying to choose what to get!

Yelp
This location opened near me and is by far my favorite spot to grab a quick bite for breakfast or lunch!

Yelp
Really good, bought a bunch of cookies for my coworkers and everyone loved them. I got myself one of their rosemary focaccia sandwiches, very good, very fresh, maybe one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They boxed everything with a lot of care. Store was really clean, had a good atmosphere. Prices seemed really fair given the quality of everything. Looking forward to going back.

Julia W.

Yelp
The ambiance is very nice, and the service is kind and friendly, if a little slow. But perhaps kind, friendly, and slower-paced go together? I agree with a reviewer who said the desserts are a bit dense. I've had a brownie and a piece of cake from this location. Also I had an avocado toast. The avocado, tomato, and cheese crumbles were fresh and tasty. The "toast" was a thick slice of un-toasted bread. I've noticed this is common across restaurants, including in other states, (and the bagel place next door), so usually when I order I specify that I would like my toast "toasted brown and warm to the touch." But I forgot to do that this time. I like the concept so I'll probably be back but not on the regular.

Mayai A.

Yelp
We know about this place because we follow them online and knew they were opening another one. We met the owner Keagan, very nice man! So that's why I rated super high. Great customer service which is really important to me. But the deserts were a bit dense, mainly we got cupcakes. And I like more moist and flavorful cupcakes. But it lacked flavor and was a bit dry and dense. And we got a brownie, or so it tasted like it. It was good, but not really enjoyable. It was a bit hard to use a fork. The fork broke. So maybe deserts were sitting out overnight or batter got over worked. Though we appreciate the kindness. So maybe we may try the other location. But not this one. This place just had less options too.

Carol W.

Yelp
I just had the best spinach quiche I've ever tasted! Perfect crust, and savory quiche filling, plus excellent coffee. Great service, plenty of seating inside and out---I'll be back often. I'm already addicted to their "cruffins", croissants with custard fillings, but they sell out of those so quickly. I'm so glad to have DBar in Central Park!

Maritza C.

Yelp
My bf and I were excited to check this place out for breakfast and got some breakfast burritos, lattes, and pastries-- and it was all delicious! The blueberry custard pastry was my favorite, but the sticky bun was a close second. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to go back!
