Where to Eat With Kids Around Denver

"Any restaurant whose menu is centered around desserts is bound to be kid-approved — but rest assured this Uptown favorite was built for adults too, complete with a full bar and grown-up eats like crispy Brussels sprouts doused in a honey-Sriracha glaze and spiced peanuts or risotto with red wine–braised shiitakes, caramelized onion, and mascarpone." - Ruth Tobias, Eater Staff

Denver’s 26 Most Iconic Dishes

"On the menu of Keegan Gerhard and Lisa Bailey’s chic bakery and café since day one, this instant classic has outlasted any number of elimination-diet trends over the past dozen or so years. After all, who can resist the rush of nostalgia and sugar delivered by a slice of three-layer chocolate cake, paired with a mini-milkshake or malt in a choice of three familiar flavors: vanilla, chocolate, and raspberry?" - Gigi Sukin, Ruth Tobias

The name of this restaurant is a bit cheeky, but it's all in good food and fun! We went here for happy hour! The House red wine is delicious. I really loved the simple salad, so much to the point that I bought all the ingredients at the store and similar lemon vinaigrette! The crispy Brussels sprouts tasted almost as good the one from Humboldt Kitchen + Bar, which has closed. We also loved the fries, and tacos! Can't wait to go back!

Google
We really enjoyed D Bar. The happy hour is awesome. The Slider and Bacon Mac & Cheese was phenomenal. Some of the best Mac and cheese I’ve had maybe ever. For a house red wine priced at only $5, it is dang good. -The 22% service charge. I can’t help how I feel about it. I can’t stand these 22% services charges being added at more and more restaurants. The service and food were very good so it wasn’t too big a deal for me. Will be back in again for happy hour and maybe desert next time.

Google
Amazing experience. Server was polite and attentive. Food was delicious. Happy hour specials allowed us to try more than we normally would have gotten. Desserts are absolutely decadent. Even found street side parking a block away. Definitely at the top of our Denver restaurant go to list.

Google
D Bar was highly recommended by my PT. He said it's a MUST visit place when I'm in Denver. Thank you PT. I was so please with the food, service, and the atmosphere. There was life in the restaurant. You can even see the baker making the pastries and desserts. I didn't have a reservation but they made accommodation for us (husband and son). I ordered a cappuccino, grilled chicken arugula, wild cherries with candied almond salad. Omg...it was so delicious, the grilled chicken breast was tender and juicy. I finished my plate. My son got the sliders, he said it was the BEST sliders he ever had, believe me he is a food connoisseur. My husband got the breakfast burrito (this thing was huge), it was tasty!!! Their almond croissant and vanilla creme brule are to die for. Our taste buds were so happy after our meal. Definitely will return next time we are in Denver.

Google
This place has the best dessert!! The hot chocolate is really rich and delicious. The food is average but dessert is a must here! They have a lot of seating inside and outside. I do recommend making a reservation it gets busy.

Google
Pretty bad and extremely slow experience. Came in on a slower Saturday morning 5/21, got sat at the desert bar, ordered an appetizer that never came, didn’t get checked on till our entrée came 30+ minutes later. Turns out our appetizer never got put in and all we got was a nonchalant sorry. The menu is pretty pricey so you expect to be treat fairly decent. I get we got seated at the desert bar, but if you are going to completely ignore the customers who sit there then why allow there to be seating. Such a poor experience. Our server Andrew was nice, but maybe he had too many tables… very bad experience and felt like a waste of money.

Google
I asked for recommendations for the best chocolate cake in Denver for my birthday and I was directed to D Bar. The recommendation was 1000% correct. That is not only the best chocolate cake in Denver...I'd argue the best I've ever had anywhere in my whole entire time on this earth. Blown away by the rich decadence and density, deep flavor, and attention to detail in the beautiful edible decorations. I honestly don't even like cake, and this is now my favorite. There was a minor miscomm on the order, but the team was all too happy to sort it out, take care of me, and in the end my friends and I happily enjoyed this birthday dessert. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu and full D Bar experience!

Google
The sliders were done perfectly. The service was fantastic. The vibe was great. The icing on this cake known as perfection as the croissant… the almond croissant was one of the most amazing bits of food I’ve ever had! Well done! If I could make one kind hearted critique, please bring back the paper menus… it’s time.

Yelp
Every time I come to D-bar, we have a great time. They always seat us in five minutes or the counter order is super fun. They are interactive and smiling and always happy. We love the bacon wrapped dates, their cocktails, the cake and shake, and the cake with ice cream! It's always presented beautifully like works of art and the flavors are always spot on! The restaurant gives off the decor of a retro diner upscaled for flair with fancy stools and glassware. The environment is always welcoming too.

Yelp
Sadly, our experience was not good. We stopped in for birthday dessert. Ordered the Prix Fixe and the American Dream Funfetti cake. For the Prix Fixe we were able to order 1 thing from the menu so we ordered the Cake and Shake. Both pieces of cake were so dry it was hard to eat. The chocolate cake tasted as though there was something off (bitter and sour) about it. The rest was ok. The highlight was the chocolate shake that came with the Cake and Shake. Service was ok. Not great but ok. The inside was basic and seemed run of the mill. Nothing memorable.

Yelp
The food is good and the service fine, BUT THIS RESTAURANT ADDS MORE THAN 20% TO EVERY BILL TO COVER TIP AND PAY IT'S BACK-OF-THE-HOUSE EMPLOYEES (COOKS?) YOU CANNOT OPT OUT OF THIS!!!!!!!! You are then told that you can add extra money to the 20+% if you wish. I always tip my server, but that is My Choice based upon the level of service I receive. If the restaurant can't afford to pay employees, then they need to raise the cost of the food on the menu, not require patrons to pay salaries.
google avatar

Yelp
Holy cow! This place leaves your taste buds happy and your belly satisfied!! The food and atmosphere are both equally beautiful! The service was 110% and they knew exactly how pair food with drinks. So worth it and a def must if you're from Denver or not!

Yelp
Usually I come for happy hour, but came here with friends during dinner time. Got the steak and Parmesan fries. Fries good and crispy. I got the steak at a medium level. For drinks the bartender was helpful. I wanted something that wasn't super sweet from their dessert-tini section so she suggested just the regular espresso martini and that was very delicious. I believe the bartender told me they infuse the vodka themselves. Overall, this place is fun to hang with friends at, especially at HH. Just as an FYI they add a 22% gratuity

Yelp
This is an absolute gem of a dessert restaurant. Great ambiance, great menu, great servers. They also have entrees that are not dessert. Can't wait to try more things on the menu. The dessert trio is a blast with the house picking 2 of your 3 choices.

Yelp
Okay, HOLY HELL! When my colleagues and I were told to dine at D Bar, we weren't sure what to expect...but here we were...two nights in a row fighting over the last bites of Baked Alaska and Funfetti Cake! The overall vibes were immaculate - great music, great service, easy parking...I will ALWAYS go back when I'm in Denver!

Yelp
We were seated quickly and the service was great. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The interior was cute and had a trendy vibe. The hot chocolate was rice and decadent, with a beautiful toasted marshmallow. The peach Bellini was a good simple Bellini, would probably try a different drink next time. I loved the biscuits. The gravy was clearly made in house and not from a packet... I rarely like gravy that is not homemade and this made the cut. Butter and jam were tasty. The biscuits (back to the biscuits because they are that good) were so yummy and had flaked sea salt on top. They are smaller but filling. The cru fries were very good too! Tomato soup was a pretty soup.. classic tomato soup taste. We didn't have room for dessert but will definitely save room next time they looked amazing coming out (churros and beignets)!

Yelp
This was my first visit to D Bar for dinner and I was actually surprised at how affordable it was. In my head I always assumed D Bar was the kind of place that charged $35 for a burger, but I am so wrong and I am thrilled I decided to give it a shot. Walking in D bar it gives me upscale neighborhood eatery vibes. It is not quite show up in a hoody and jeans but also no need to get fancy. We got some buratta for the table, I do wish it had a bit more burrata, it felt a little skimpy. For my main I got the risotto with Nashville hot chicken and it was a 10/10 from a texture and flavor profile perspective. To round out my meal I got the lemon tart and this was the absolute standout. The shell was crumbly but firm and the lemon filling was mildly sweet with a punch of tart that transports you to some warm coastal town. I have thought about that tart like 3x since I had it a week ago. It honestly moved the rating from 3 stars to 4. If you are in the neighborhood and manage to get a seat I would recommend stopping by. If you can't get a seat get the lemon tart to go!!!

Yelp
I love love love D Bar and typically stop in for chocolates or a box of assorted sweets. Haven't dined here in quite some time but was happy to revisit for the lunch special this week. For $20 you get to pick two options of a 1/2 appetizer and 1/2 entree which comes with a drink and little sweet to finish. I love the pizza salad sandwich it's brilliant and delicious. The brussels here can turn sprout haters into fans. They're sweet, crispy and bursting with flavor. Service was a bit slow this time around but we didn't mind as the food kept us occupied and happy.

Yelp
Cute dessert experience. I've been to this location but a few years ago. I went here with some friends for a birthday celebration. We were seated right away. We had just come from dinner so we all only ordered desserts :) There is street parking available. I got the beignets! Three beignets and if you want you can get them filled with different fillings. I forget the options but i think there was at least three. Because we told the waitress it was my birthday she brought my dessert out with sparklers :) It was a nice touch for sure! The beignets were hot and fresh :) A little dry... Next time I will for sure get a filling.

Yelp
Haven't been to D Bar in several years. We used to go relatively often when in Denver for dessert (back when all they served was dessert!) We saw them transition into serving lunch and dinner, but only went a couple times. Fast forward to this week, we came for a family celebration (3 birthdays and an anniversary) with a party of 10. We got the short rib nachos, dates and Brussels as shareables. For entrees we got butternut squash risotto, D Bar burger, pasta bolognese, sliders, bacon Mac & cheese, and the salmon bowl. Dessert we got the Gourd Vibes Only (seasonal pumpkin), Chocolate Cake, Crème Brûlée, Ch Ch Ch Churros, and the Baked Alaska. I'd say we had a good variety across most of the menu! :) All our food was fantastic. Drinks were delicious. All our dessert was just as good as ever. Our servers were attentive and friendly, checking in with us frequently but not bothersome. Would recommend and will be back!

Yelp
D Bar is my go to stop any time I have people visiting from out of state...or in state. Fantastic desserts and ambiance. Service is always excellent. You really can't go wrong.

Yelp
Pretty large, spacious. Luxury, modern, romantic atmosphere. Street parking with limited nearby garage parking. Added heated patio for even more table availability but strongly recommend the bar where you can watch the some desserts being made. Very delicious latte (with art). Pretty good service. We tried the prix fixe 3 course dessert at $20. We chose molten chocolate cake, chocolate almond bread pudding, "paquita". Molten chocolate cake was good. Bread pudding was simultaneous and a bit dry on outer layer but ok on center. "Paquita" was such a luxurious dessert experience that is so flavor full and plethora of textures including macaroons texture, sorbet like ice cream, and freshly peeled mandarine; could be an acquired taste. Clean restroom after hall of fame hallway with hip faucet that is motion censored water and motion censored air blowing dryer on side wings.

Yelp
Great food! First time, we tried desert samplers. Second visit: burger & fries; and I took home a passion fruit mouse & funfetti bar. Looking forward to returning!

Yelp
We usually love D bar and can't wait to come back, but our most recent visit left us wanting more. We arrived about 10 mins early for our reservation and were told "your server has been very busy tonight so I'm going to go check on her and then I'll be back" We stood at the host stand watching the same woman take orders and go all around the restaurant. At 7:30 she returned to the host stand and said "okay now that it's exactly 7:30pm I can seat you." We were both a bit disappointed that she didn't just say that from the get go and we would've understood. We ordered drinks, a main course and dessert and all in all we were there for two hours. The service was significantly slower than it's been in the past. The noise level in the restaurant was so loud we could barely hear each other talk (sitting across from one another). Unfortunately we can't say we will be back any time soon.

Yelp
Okay yelpers hold on to your hats! This place is not only good but really consistent. It helps that they have a dessert bakery connected to the restaurant. We started off with a cinnamon roll and beignets for the table to share. Both were fantastic 9.5's out of 10. I ordered the Belgium waffles with chicken but upgraded to Nashville hot chicken and it was really fantastic! Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere but be warned that 22% is tacked on for service!
google avatar

Yelp
I have been hoping to try Keegan Gerhard's restaurants for a hot minute. I met up with the girls for brunch and it was a delight. From the close and covered free parking, service and culinary delights, it was a great way to spend a late Saturday morning. They have amazing drinks and coffee. We got the cute biscuit sampler with teeny jars of jelly and hot gravy to start. I kinda wanted to order 17 more orders because the biscuits were so cute and delicious! They were out of the cake and shake when we stopped by. To even it out there was a bailey's bowl and some salads to be "healthy". It's spendy and perfect!
google avatar

Yelp
Food: dessert here is superb. My husband's mac and cheese was fine but pricey. Service: relatively attentive however didn't disclose their automatic 22% service charge that is not disclosed on the signature receipt. I hate this because the bulk of our bill was wine and I only tip 15% on bottles of wine. Likely not returning but I can see why people order takeout from here.

Yelp
One of our favorite places in all of Denver. Owners are truly special people - we love Keagan! Food is outstanding - Holiday Tea and Mothers Day Tea are always so fun. Staff is the only element of the experience that is usually subpar. Front of house and waiters are not very polite, and when they are, it feels disingenuous - very strange. Waiters have not been knowledgable of their own menu. They often forget the orders, bring wrong items, and told us they don't serve something that is a staple on the menu (table behind us got one just moments after we were told the item didn't exist lol). Still, a must-visit spot if you're looking for A-Plus food, sweet or savory.

Yelp
Updating due to our experience last night. Our server really wasn't present at all. She didn't write down our order and my boyfriend's entree came out wrong. He ordered a soda and she never brought it - the guy who delivered our appetizer helped us out and brought him a soda. Our server only stopped by once after my boyfriend's entree had been corrected to see how we liked our food. With the automatic 22% gratuity added to all checks, it felt like she wasn't really trying because she didn't need to. Thankfully, all the other staff delivering food were very helpful. The service from our server was just disappointing considering the cost of everything. I've been a server for many years so I know what it's like, and we were easy guests.

Yelp
A very good dessert place in Denver. Great execution and taste is up there with other big cities. A few details were not on point, like placing a biscotti on creme brûlée and fine granola bits on the Alaska. Also prices are in the $14-16 range.
google avatar

Yelp
I popped into the D Bar for a quick take away dessert. The have a counter in the restaurant that caters to take away desserts. It is a limited display case of options. I took a spice cupcake with a little Gingerman cookie on it. It was decorated super cute and embodied the holiday spirit for a sweet pick me up. I ended up taking one bite and throwing it out. The Gingerman cookie was not crispy, it was soft. The cake part of the cupcake didn't even taste remotely like a spice cake. It was bland and tasteless. The icing on the cake was a cream cheese icing. It was stiff and weirdly textured. I don't think I will be going back to the D Bar again.
google avatar

Rin L.

Yelp
This place was way too hype than it needed to be. The interior and aesthetic was mid. I did not mind the small portion plates, however the taste of everything was disappointing. Service was good despite how busy it get. I would recommend trying this place at least once. But no furthermore than that. They have this 22% gratitude tip included in your meal and the reason for it was to help workers get paid fairly. But why don't they pay their worker fairly in the first place or increase the price of the menus so it accounts for that....

Yelp
We recently went to the D Bar for some desserts and wine, and thoroughly loved it. My gf ordered their seasonal special dessert "Keeps the Doctor Away" which was a sampler of severa apple flavored desserts (doughnuts, bread pudding/souffle, apple cider caramel, and ice cream). All of them were delicious, and combined made for a hearty sized dessert! I ordered their classic dessert pairing Cake and Shake, which is their delicious chocolate cake like mom used to make, and a yummy vanilla shake. We each had a nice glass of port to go with it. The seating at the dessert bar is communal and fun, and you get to watch the pastry chef preparing desserts while you wait. It was a perfect dessert nightcap experience. The owner has been on Food Network, and the attention to detail and quality really shows!

Yelp
D Bar never disappoints. I went to partake in happy hour with some of my girlfriends on a Friday. They had a seasonal dessert, Chocolate Mousse is my cup of tea, and I've been dying to try it. Our server was very patient with us when we tried to figure out if we were all ordering entrees or if some of us were just going straight to dessert. The server also provided recommendations for different things to try which I always appreciate. Since it was happy hour I knew we had to get an order of crue fries just to kick things off but I always love the brussel sprouts but tend to avoid them when I come here with my friend who has a nut allergy even though they can't make it nut free. For my main course I got a half order of mac and cheese with fried chicken which really hit the spot. It is one of my favorite things to get when I go there regardless of time of day! Their mac and cheese is so creamy and the mac sauce is divine. I have tried just about every one of their standard desserts but usually try to go for something that is on their seasonal menu as I did this time. One of my friends that I went with always goes with the raspberry shake and a piece of chocolate cake which is also one of the best combos in my opinion. I love that they have a dessert prefix which is another thing I love to do with friends as well just because it is great for anyone who has a sweet tooth!

Yelp
Geoff was a great waiter! We got seated right away and everything we ate was delicious. However, it took 2.5 hours for brunch. I ordered a green tea latte and it was over 45 minutes and my food had been delivered before I asked and said to cancel it if they hadn't started it cause I would be finished with my meal before my drink arrived. He apologized and even brought it and took it off the tab. We ordered dessert and it took a seriously long time. Geoff apologized and said that the kitchen was backed up. Not his fault at all, but it seemed crazy that the kitchen was that backed up when we had reservations to be the first people at the restaurant at 10:30am. Great place if you are okay with sitting for a longer than normal time for lattes and desserts. Once again- Geoff was excellent and we made sure to leave a $20 tip on top of the 22% already added.

Yelp
Got the half size Parmesan fries which tasted good with the garlic aioli sauce The chocolate molten cake was very tasty. Super rich chocolate, warm rich chocolate inside oozing out with raspberry sauce and raspberries. Very delish. Too small tho lol. Would def get again, prob over the chocolate cake slice Kind servers
google avatar

Yelp
If you have a sweet tooth, you'll loved D bar. There was a wide assortment of desserts and I ended up getting the baked Alaska and snickers tart. The baked Alaska was sweet, tart from the citrus ice cream, and overall good. The snickers tart was a nice attempt on snickers but just okay. Highly recommend reservations as they get crowded!
google avatar

Samantha W.

Yelp
It is a little pricey, but I think everything on the menu is absolutely worth it. You come for the desserts and stay for the food The ambiance is great and it's in a busy area of uptown. I'd recommend coming on a Wednesday or Thursday so it's not packed but still lively around. The restaurant is right on the corner and there's a good spot anywhere to be at. The American dream dessert brings tears to my eyes it's so tasty. I've tried all these desserts because I try to come here as much as I can. You can't go wrong. Cocktails are tasty and the wine list is large.
google avatar

Kimberly H.

Yelp
Made a reservation and got in very quick. This was the first day of Restaurant Week March 2024 and my wedding anniversary. We loved the food which was 4 course sitting. Gratuity is added to the bill no matter the size of the party and I like that.
google avatar

Melanie T.

Yelp
We wanted to come here to eat but unfortunately by the time we got seated, only desserts were available so anything after 9:30 is desserts only. There were still a lot of seated tables so it's common since they're known for desserts. We ordered the hot chocolate and churros. The churros are quite delicious and tasty. They're not too sweet but also not overpowered by cinnamon that it leaves chunks on your fingers. The churros were covered just right and they taste good dipped in the caramel sauce and ice cream. I'm not a chocolate person so the hot chocolate was okay for me. The marshmallow was good though.

Yelp
D dessert OMG!! we just came for dessert and after looking at everybody being served around us, food were definitely coming back. But I have to start off our dessert are amazing. we started off with Americano coffee very smooth no bite, just a really good cup of coffee. Then my husband ordered a cinnamon roll heated up. That was also very good. Very tasty. We got a vanilla milkshake as a malt, Ch, Ch, Churros that came with vanilla ice cream, a side of caramel, and it was just so crispy and light and the cinnamon and sugar was perfect. We also picked up the threesome of Bennett and they came as a threesome one raspberry one lemon and one plain is what we ordered, but you can select your own variety. The service is great. The waitress kept checking in on us and her helpers kept delivering the food so everything was really smooth. Just a little heads up it is a little loud but it is a bar like environment. Very nice, cozy seating, great place to hook up with friends and enjoy some good food and great desserts.

Yelp
Came here for their restaurant week special and it was amazing! I had never really heard of D Bar until I saw it on restaurant week. D Bar is known for their desserts and now I understand why. The inside was super cute giving a diner vibe. They also have a side dessert bar where you can order desserts to go. I went with a couple of friends and we got an assortment of different appetizers (Brussels, fries, and whipped feta) and they were all very tasty. I got the salmon bowl for my main and it was super fresh and a good portion of food. Now for the desserts! We got the crème brûlée, American dream and the molten cake. They were amazing! I recommend this place for anyone who loves sweets!
google avatar

Yelp
Went for Mother's Day Brunch. Service was super slow. Took 20+ minutes to get Bloody Mary's After an hour we hadn't gotten our main course yet and asked for our check. Food was mediocre at best. Not good. Will not be back any time soon except maybe for dessert.
google avatar

Gabby S.

Yelp
I came here for restaurant week and was blown away! The appetizers, main course, and *both* dessert courses were amazing!! Very generous portions for all the courses left me stuffed AND with a to-go box for tomorrow's lunch! We got the crispy brussels sprouts, whipped feta and crue fries for course #1. We all couldn't decide which was the best because they were all equally full of flavor! For the second course two of us got the salmon bowl and one got the Mac n cheese with fried chicken. Before the main dessert course, they brought out a mini "chefs choice" dessert. I can't remember exactly what it was and on the restaurant week menu it describes this as "white chocolate, pineapple, passion fruit & kalamansi". It was sooo flavorful and delicious. The dessert course is what D Bar is most known for and we enjoyed it all! The American Dream, the Milton cake, and the crème brûlée! Presentation was beautiful and a great representation of the taste! I can't wait to come back for drinks and dessert or happy hour!

Yelp
D Bar is a dessert haven that effortlessly turns every visit into a sweet celebration. From the very first bite of their mixed berry crumble pie, it's clear that the chefs at D Bar are masters of crafting exceptional desserts. The pie's buttery, golden crust envelopes a luscious blend of sweet and tangy berries, perfectly complemented by the crumbly topping that adds just the right amount of texture. As if that weren't enough, their selection of beignets is a true testament to their creativity. Offering three distinct flavors, each beignet is a bite-sized masterpiece. The powdered sugar-dusted pillows burst with rich cocoa, delicate vanilla, and zesty citrus notes, leaving a trail of delight with every delicate bite. And then there's the crown jewel of the menu: the passion fruit chocolate layered cake. This dessert is a symphony of flavors and textures. The velvety chocolate layers meld seamlessly with the tropical tang of passion fruit, creating a harmonious dance on the palate. The cake's decadent richness is balanced by the bright, zingy fruit, resulting in a slice of pure indulgence. Beyond the remarkable desserts, D Bar's ambiance exudes warmth and elegance, offering a serene space to savor these sweet delights. Each dessert is a masterpiece in its own right, reflecting the passion and artistry that defines D Bar and sets it apart as a destination for dessert aficionados. Service was pretty solid as well - there is a counter for Togo orders or an area to have a more formal meal experience.

Yelp
I've been twice now and both times I've sat at the bar. I've had the misfortune of being served by the same bartender both times. The first time, I shrugged it off thinking maybe she'd had a long shift. The second time, no. She's just not friendly. I felt like everything annoyed her. I asked for sparkling instead of tap and she seemed to take that personally. When she came to take my order , she just stood in front of me staring and didn't say anything, then seemed annoyed that I wanted to order. She was equally short with everyone at the bar around me. The first visit, she got friendlier toward the end of the interaction, even introducing me to the bar manager and chatting with me about the specialty cocktails. I get it. This industry is brutal and not everyone is friendly. I'm just asking not to be made to feel like a jerk for ordering from the bartender. The food is delicious, the ambiance is nice, but the service is not great. That's made more unfortunate by the fact that they include 22% gratuity on all of their checks. For that high of a gratuity, can I at least order a drink without a getting served attitude? Otherwise, the drinks were amazing, the food was delicious, and the rest of the staff was BEYOND friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place, just maybe not the bar

Yelp
I had the pleasure of visiting D Bar Restaurant last night, and let me tell you, it was an absolute game-changer after a disastrous dinner elsewhere. This place not only saved my night but also elevated it to a whole new level with its heavenly desserts. The highlight of my visit had to be the beignets - they were nothing short of divine. I couldn't resist trying all three flavors: lemon, mixed berry, and Nutella. Each one was a masterpiece in its own right. The lemon beignet had a zesty kick that awakened my taste buds with its vibrant citrusy flavor. The mixed berry beignet was a delightful explosion of fruity goodness, with the sweet and tangy berries bursting in every bite. And then, there was the Nutella beignet, a chocoholic's dream come true. The Nutella oozing out of the warm, fluffy pastry was sheer bliss. These beignets were truly to die for, and I savored every single bite. As if that weren't enough, I also indulged in their made-to-order churros. Yes, they take a bit of time to prepare, but trust me, they are well worth the wait. When those piping hot churros arrived at my table, I knew I was in for a treat. They were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and coated in just the right amount of cinnamon and sugar. Dipping them into the accompanying caramel sauce was pure decadence with a side of the vanilla ice cream. The freshness and quality of these churros were unparalleled, and I relished every moment. Only downside is that I wished that there was more ice cream. But the surprises didn't end there. I decided to take a leap of faith and try the elderflower panna cotta, and boy, was I pleasantly surprised. The delicate floral notes of elderflower combined with the creamy, velvety texture of the panna cotta created a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate. It was the perfect way to end my dessert extravaganza, leaving me feeling utterly delighted. D Bar Restaurant not only saved my night but turned it into a memorable culinary adventure. The beignets were out of this world, the churros were a revelation, and the elderflower panna cotta was a delightful surprise. If you find yourself in need of a pick-me-up after a disappointing dining experience, make D Bar Restaurant your next stop. You won't regret it. This place is a dessert lover's paradise, and I can't wait to return for more sweet indulgences.

Yelp
Honestly, it's been two years I wanted to try this place and now that I have, our experience wasn't great! Drinks were okay and so was the food. My fries were burnt, Queso was alright and sliders were decent. This is more like a slightly fancy diner with a bakery. My only fav thing here was desserts from the bakery, the cake pop and macaron. They were out of a few things on the menu and so with limited options I really can't say much. Not a fan and hence, I don't recommend.

Yelp
A nice place to go for a dessert. A modern take on a classic diner date vibe. Had a boozy milkshake. Does not have many vegan/plant-based options.

Yelp
I can't believe I'm just now reviewing D Bar! I've been a handful of times and always enjoy doing dessert for dinner here. This go around we came after dinner and I sampled some new things. My husband said he'd share dessert with me but chose to fill up on the Crue fries. They really are addicting so I can see why he didn't have room. He ALWAYS gets them when we come here! I chose to try one of their seasonal options, the Cookie Monster; chocolate chunk cookie souflee, vanilla 'milk,' mini chocolate chunk cookies, chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. The soufflé was definitely the best part of the plate and I'd definitely come back again for it! The rest was good but not drool worthy. I also tried their pink Negroni and it was fantastic!

Yelp
Ohhhh sweet Jesus!!! My God, the food is delicious. If I could eat here everyday, I would. Came for my birthday and had the Mac and cheese with fried chicken, the sliders with fries, and the lava cake. WOW!!!! The service was cool, pretty standard. But the food and atmosphere is something to be desired.

Yelp
How have I never stopped in here before? Came in specifically just for dessert after dinner at another place. We arrived at 9:15pm and it was very busy but we were able to get a table. He had the cake and shake and I had something I can't quite remember the name of.. An apple a day, or keep the doctor away.. lol. I don't know, It was a seasonal item with apple cider donuts, an appley soufflé, ice cream with some delicious crunchies and a concentrated apple coder sauce. I was already so full when we arrived and had plans on having a bite and calling it a day, but this was too good. I ate most of it and had the remaining donut and bite of soufflé boxed up for me (I had it with my coffee this morning). I had a sip of my friend's shake .. Total divine chocolate goodness. Now I'm trying to decide how many social events I can force people to meet me at the D bar for. Holy smokes, so perfect and delicious. I need to go back soon!

Yelp
A friend took us to this bar for a taste of Denver since we were visiting from Chicago. What a great selection. There is a great drink menu to select from. But the star is the food. This may be the greatest bar food that I've ever had. My husband had the bacon cheeseburger and I had the Southern Fried Belgian Sandwich. This a piece for fried chicken that had two pieces of a savory cheesy chive Belgian waffles as a bun. This was so thick that I had trouble getting my mouth open wide enough to bite into it. This was by far the best chicken sandwich that I've ever had. I upgraded to the sweet potato fries which was a good choice even though the regular french fries were good. I was close to being full but persevered because I was told that the desserts were the real star of the menu. That recommendation proved to be true. We tried the churros and chocolate cake. The churros were the best churros that I've ever had. Not only were they huge but they also had a delicious caramel dipping sauce. And because I am a chocolaholic, we had to try the chocolate cake. The cake was rich and dense and was just plain awesome. The server was nice and attentive. The decor was very fun. Overall, this is a great place for food and drinks in the heart of downtown.

Yelp
Sitting in the heart of Denver, the place offers a postmodern atmosphere; overlooking the streets of downtown from the 4th level. Friendly staff crew, host Deb, bartender Dana, and waitress Kendra have made the weekend a smooth sailing experience while we relaxed at the bar. The place offers to-die-for truffle fries and hand-crafted cocktails We will definitely be back soon.

Yelp
Really great spot for a date night or night out with friends. Although a bit pricey they had really good food and the espresso martini was fabulous. I will definitely be back in the future!

Yelp
Very discouraged. If you're booking holiday tea you MUST call them and not book on open table. I just scoured their website and open table and it doesn't say this anywhere. I showed up today with my group and were told we could only have lunch. I would highly suggest that management make that apparent somehow in order to not disappoint long time fans of D Bar. We were told when we checked in that the open table we had booked for tea was the incorrect way to book and they could only accommodate us for lunch without 72 hours notice for tea, and had no other solution or suggestions, even when the manager came over. D bar has been a favorite of ours for years and I just felt like the staff wasn't at all accommodating with what went wrong. Nowhere on the website did it specify that I needed to call and when I spoke to them on the phone yesterday to confirm they didn't ask. We ended up leaving and going elsewhere and unfortunately won't be back. It's a shame because their food is wonderful.

Yelp
A super cute place! We sat outside when we went but the inside is adorable! The service was great and fast and the food was nice. The drinks were strong so one is definitely enough. We did more of a "happy hour" style selection with appetizers and a side of churros. It was good but I do feel like they focus more on their desserts than their main menu. Next time I want to try more of their wide dessert selection since that's what they're known for.
