"A Houstonian favorite, this family-owned and -operated business has amplified West Indian cuisine throughout the Pearland area. The plantains are juicy, the oxtail tender, and the roti is perfectly warm." - Kayla Stewart

Google
Friendly host, great music, and awesome food! We were told the woman of the house cooks the food so you know it had to be good! Everything was (especially the doubles) delicious and brought back memories of the Caribbean-must try!!

Erik Brunell

Google
Super friendly staff. Very welcoming especially when I told them I had never tried this kind of food before. Loved the flavors and friendliness of the owners. Thankfully it's close by so I'll be returning 🤗!!

Google
I absolutely adore this restaurant! It has a cozy, home-like atmosphere, and the food is simply outstanding. Mo and his wife make everyone feel like part of the family. If you're craving delicious Trinidadian cuisine, this is the place to be.

Google
Always a great vibe here. I love this place no words can explain how good this place is. The food Omg so good I drive that hour to come here. The costumer service is great. I highly recommend.

Google
Update: on 5.25 went here after driving 35 minutes because they are usually consistent and food is good. After driving 35 minutes back home , ready to eat but only to be disappointed in the cabbages... they were not cabbages at all but lettuce. I know the difference. Oxtail rice and peas were good but I just couldn't believe my cabbages were lettuce. When I called, no answer. I will try again but this time I will definitely be checking my order. Oxtail were delicious.. really enjoyed my meal.. well worth the 35 min drive

Google
Wow, I’ve been going here for years and I can’t believe I haven’t left a review yet—shame on me because they deserve one. The food is excellent, as an American-West Indian I’m always looking for good Trini food without Flying alllll the way to Trinidad lol and Mo and his Misses always deliver! Best Trini spot in Houston, hands down. I’ve tried the oxtail, chicken, beef roti, rice and peas, pholourie, brown stew, AND of course the doubles and they’re all real proper! To Mo & The Misses, thanks for being a pilar in the community and providing great Trini cuisine to the people of Pearland & Houston, WE appreciate yall! 🇹🇹

Google
What an outstanding spot for your fix of Caribbean food!!!! The menu is simple but the service there is so awesome and they are always ready to help you place your order. The portions are big enough to share yes even the small sizes. The food was hot and delicious; took me right back to my childhood and my mama's cooking! The guy helping me was so warm and friendly and even added bread with chickpeas in my order. We will absolutely be back!!!

Google
visited here today and the customer service was very very good. very nice owner. we ordered doubles and saheena. the bara was stale, the chana undercooked, the sauce was too sweet (even though we said no sweet sauce/tamarind sauce). served with lime pepper sauce (?? im not sure why). plenty pepper here means plenty sweet. the saheena tasted like it was baked in the oven. absolutely not authentic Trini flavors. i cannot recommend this place to anyone. Don’t be fooled by the reviews please. if you feel like having doubles in Pearland, learn to cook them yourself or go to J&D in Katy or fly to Florida and go to Tabanka or just do yourself a favor and go straight to trinidad and RUN to the nearest doubles stand. owner was very nice though

Latchman R.

Yelp
Great taste and great company authentic carribean flavors, doubles are great

Yelp
I know I just wrote a very recent review, but I never had a certain, very good menu item here until this past Saturday afternoon around lunch time. I ordered a Chicken Roti Wrap togo and got a small side chickpea wrap with it too. Very delicious, massive and really flavorful wrap that I will definitely get again in the future as I am already a huge fan of the jerk chicken plate and ox tails here. Now, a 3rd menu item. The roti wrap by itself was very tasty and doughy with a great texture like a homemade naan in burrito form. The filling was a mix of spicy, savory, tangy and a smidge sweet. I got it with boneless and bone-in chicken to get some dark meat in there as it's obviously superior to white meat. Even the white meat in this was very good with the curry sauce and everything in it. I love goat too and will try it with that next time, but gotta be in the mood to pick around all the bones. The green chili and curry vibes complimented the chicken, potatoes and chickpeas very nicely. Like myself, if you are a fan of Jamaican, Indian and Mexican foods, a roti wrap is a must-try at some point. It tasted like a mix of each in the meal, but not like some random fusion some people just throw together to sell. The side chickpea wrap was a bit sweeter and unique making a great bonus. The service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. The owners are wonderful people who truly care about their guests and prepare awesome Caribbean cooking at this gem spot in Pearland.

Yelp
I ordered takeout. I had the doubles and a jerk chicken plate. Everything was delicious. The owner was very nice and the service was fast. I would definitely recommend this place!

Roy W.

Yelp
I don't have to go to Third Ward now for good Caribbean food any more. I like this spot.

Aaron G.

Yelp
I stopped in for the doubles and I was not disappointed. Messy, flavorful, delicious, and nice and big. I would ask for extra pepper sauce if you like it spicy.

Ruochen W.

Yelp
There are not enough Jamaican establishments around and I'm so lucky that one of this caliber exists in Pearland, Texas. To my knowledge, it is a dynamic husband and wife duo operating the front desk and kitchen. And the owner generously shared a little bit about these foods to my friend and I, who are novices in Jamaican cuisine. Although learning about new dishes can be intimidating, he was welcoming and his introduction, sharing about the names, ingredients, and best sauce combos. He was even kind enough to give us a couple extra appetizer samples and sauces. Nothing beats oxtails on a bed of delicious rice and beans and savory cabbage. Any leftovers were demolished by my brother within minutes. This place is a gem and I'd recommend it to anyone who just loves hearty, saucy, well spiced food!

Yelp
I am going to be honest in this review. I don't want to hurt a small business that is trying hard. This is my honest review. I stopped in to meet a friend for a weekday lunch about 1:00. I only saw one staff that I can remember. He was extremely busy packing up to-go, I believe. So I did not get a greeting or information on how to order. It was confusing to me as there were tables with goods for sale lined up which prevented customers from getting to the order counter, as far as I could see. I picked up a menu and sat down to wait for my friend to arrive. Another gentleman was there who had been to the restaurant years ago he said. Since I had never been to a Caribbean restaurant before, I asked him what he recommended. He suggested the Oxtails with rice and beans. My friend arrived and after looking at the menu, we went up to the only area of the counter that was close to the cook. I asked him what he recommended and he too said to get the oxtails. So that is what I got. The man was friendly, but very busy. We sat back down and shortly received our food. Now, my opinion of the oxtails. Maybe this is a treat for some, but I felt it was way too little meat for the price. I picked off what meat I could, ate some of the rice and beans, and left the rest of my plate. So, for those who like this type of dish, please don't go by my opinion. But for me, it was lacking in flavor and too pricey for what I received. I was also disappointed that the service was a bit lacking.

Q G.

Yelp
This is the real deal! Family owned and customer service is phenomenal. They remember you.

Raquel B.

Yelp
The Food was Great, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend the GOAT Roti. It was very tender.

James E.

Yelp
I highly recommend the Curry GOAT Roti. It's very tender. Customer service was amazing very nice and friendly!

Obiageli A.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars i would. I ordered the large oxtail and large shrimp curry along with roti and sorrel. I spent $61. This food was utterly disgusting. There wasn't a lick of flavor, the shrimp was overly cooked (dry, dry, dry), the rice and peas were very mushy, the oxtail lacked flavor of any sorts, the plantains were (flavor cannot even be described but nasty) and the sorrel was just ok. I contacted the business to inform them of this and ended up in a back and forth banter over most people not knowing how Caribbean food should tasted (LOL). I requested a refund and even offered to bring back both full plates to show exactly how inedible everything was. I was informed that they do not do refunds and I would need to speak to the "Big Boss" on Monday. I will never, ever, ever visit this place again or recommend it to ANYONE. I'm a sucker for good customer service and even tho the food was disgusting, if the rep would have handled my call a lot better, I would have been a little at ease. Instead I was met with a back and forth argument on Caribbean food. I won't be back. Waste ya money here if you want to.

Robin J.

Yelp
Love this place!! This is home for me. It tastes just like home. We are family now I need to go next week. My mouth-watering just typing and they cater which I love. You won't be disappointed

Dillion M.

Yelp
Food so flavorful and just the right spice level. I will be back and try the jerk chicken

Cleopatra M.

Yelp
Food was amazing and plentiful! I got the chicken curry with white rice, side of curry potatoes and roti, and my husband got the jerk chicken plate. Customer service was amazing very nice and friendly! Definitely coming back!!

Karl V.

Yelp
We came back to D'Caribbean Curry Spot on a weekend, about a week ago after a few years due to the pandemic and we are glad to see that this establishment has survived unlike many others in the industry that did not. We ordered plates of jerk chicken, oxtails and curried goat and were not disappointed and it tasted delicious just like before! As always, their serving size was big and one place is good for a couple to share. All of the dishes were packed of flavor, oxtails were really tender and the curried goat had a little bit of spice kick to it. The plantains makes a great compliment with each bite of the meats with rice. If we were to rank the three dishes we ordered, the oxtails would be at the very top, curried goat is next and then the jerk chicken. The service is good as usual, and the owner who takes your order would remember if you frequent their establishment. We can definitely recommend D'Caribbean Curry Spot if you are in the mood for some local fares.

Yelp
I went to this place with my cousin. My Auntie told me not to go because she went there and bought a Solo that was flat and the owner knows he is selling flat Solo drinks wouldn't give her her money back or trade it out for a bottle of water. She said that even though he admitted not was flat still tried to argue about why he wouldn't accommodate her request for a bottle of water. Anyway... I still decided to go. Went there they were nice enough got my food. Took it home ready to eat my roti shell and curry ( I got my roti unwrapped). Opened my shell and it smelled rancid... Yes a rancid Roti shell. They sold me a Roti with sour peas in the shell. It'll smelled horrible, like sewage. Then I looked at the curry and I could tell that they added water to it. You know when the curry is running low and you didn't make enough for extra people so you put some water to try and stretch it. That's what it was like except they put too much water. I spent $70 on two wrapped chicken Roti, one in wrapped chicken Roti, two doubles, and a drink. Couldn't beat any of it. Had to trash all of it. I will never go back to that spot.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
We loved this place! The jerk chicken was delicious! This was our first time and the owner was very generous and gave us a little tester of everything to try before we ordered. We will definitely be back and adding this to our list of go-to places in Pearland.

Maria W.

Yelp
My mum and I stopped here recently and we didn't have a pleasant experience. We both were craving rotis. I got a veggie roti and she got the chicken roti. We both wanted plantains. Since Covid, they have the restaurant arranged to where there's no dining in. OK cool not a problem. As we placed our order and waited for it, the restaurant was terribly hot in the middle of July's hot summer heat. The wait time wasn't quick. There was a guy who came inside with his kids who addressed first before my mum and I. The guy who served us looked like he knew the man even giving him free food and his kids desserts. We were treated like second class citizens and not acknowledged immediately. We finally get our order. Drive home and began to eat. My mum absolutely loved her chicken roti sharing it with my sister and dad. She mentioned it was flavorful. My veggie roti was extremely bland. I got chickpeas and potato as a filling. It was awful. It tasted like nothing. The other option for filling was pumpkin; gross. Now the plantains: they were burnt to unrecognizable dried up tiny pieces. They were inedible. A waste of money. The guy serving us knew this, but yet still served us the plantains. I must mention this place is not cheap. For two rotis and a side of plantains, it was $35. Service sucks. Food is not consistent. Lacks major flavor. My family won't be back!

Calvin S.

Yelp
First time there. Love the food, place is clean and smells like good spice in the air. The jurk chicken is delicious and I will send my friends.

Mark H.

Yelp
I'm Trinidadian by birth, and lived in many different States over the past 28 years. Gotta say the food here makes me feel right back home. I'm a big roti and doubles fan and this is my spot!!!! Also, the manager, Mo, is the coolest dude ever. Check them out.

Amina A.

Yelp
Best Caribbean food around!! The food is always so good and the people are friendly and always greet you with a smile.

Jubin J.

Yelp
Food was quite adequate though not sure how authentic it was. The curry reminded me of Indian cuisine

Roderick H.

Yelp
Not open at 4pm on Wednesday when it says they are drove a long way to try them a little disappointed

Mo B.

Yelp
Visiting from Corpus Christi and wanted Trini food as not available in my neck of the woods. I was ordering take out for the week to take home. I ordered the chicken roti, shrimp roti and a whole lot of doubles, and a bunch of roti. The owner and his wife were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely visit this restaurant again on my next trip to Houston. I totally recommend this place.

Marlon M.

Yelp
GOOD VIBES I can't tell you how happy I was to visit this place. From the time I stepped through the door to the time I left the guy working there had me and my wife laughing. He was very personable and welcomed us warmly. It mad me sad that we could not sit down there and eat because I'm sure the good energy emitting from this place would have continued. However, we ordered take out. I had the curry goat roti, jerk chicken meal, and curry goat dinner and each dish was awesome. I mean if you took an authentic Caribbean grandparent and drop them off in this kitchen, that's how it tasted to me. If I lived in Houston I would visit every weekend for a little treat. My wife had the veggie roti. Now usually I don't like veggie stuff but I found myself eating some of her food. It was so good. If you looking for good, authentic Caribbean food with some vibes and little place to lime and have a joke, just stop by here. Trust me, this place is the real deal.

Nikkisha F.

Yelp
Love the feel and look from the moment I walk, the owners are very sweet and welcoming and the food is great!!!!!!! I always get the chicken or goat roti with doubles because it's my all time favorite, but I also love the oxtail platter!!!! Give it a try! You won't regret it!!! Island vibes all the way through!

Amanda T.

Yelp
I'm gonna keep this one brief! Food. On point. Service. Cool as hell. Should you make this drive to Pearland to get some amazing food? A resounding yes

Mahwish S.

Yelp
The owner Mo and his wife are originally from Trinidad and so pleasant to have a conversation with. And their food is authentic and delicious! This is the only restaurant in Houston that has roti and doubles. I highly recommend that you try this staple dish in Trinidadian cuisine. I've only done carry out but they do have a a couple tables in the front if you would like to dine in.

Jamerson M.

Yelp
Right from the start the atmosphere set by Mo and his wife was amazing! They are a very sweet couple running the Restaurant on their own after Covid. With a lack of workforce to help they are mostly a take out spot but the food is no joke. We ordered the two meat plate and it was enough food for three people no joke. Initially we thought it was not enough from pictures but do not be fooled. We decided on the oxtails and jerk chicken. The food was by far the best Caribbean food I've had in a long time. We also ordered the doubles, which is Caribbean tortillas with potatoes and veggie filling. This was my first time trying this and it was amazing. Just let Mo know if you like spicy or mild and he will give you sauces accordingly. Overall great experience and I will be back. Note: if your planning to get something just call in and order and it'll be ready when you arrive. Great place and even greater people! Support local businesses!

Nikki L.

Yelp
The food want good at all ordered oxtails they were dry and not seasoned. I definitely won't be back.

David G.

Yelp
It's been awhile since my last visit here and so ordered a few items including stew chicken, curry chicken wrap, roti skins, chicken patty and a Solo drink. Will have to say the food did not disappoint. Meaning the taste and portion sizes were for the price I thought were right. I most enjoyed the curry chicken roti wrap the as there was good amounts of curry chicken and minimal potatoes as opposed to less meat more potatoes. The owner is quite live as he works to prepare your order while engaging, being full time comedian and focused on getting your order right. There is a steady flow of customers so highly recommend calling ahead to minimize your wait and due to some dishes selling out quickly. While it would have been nice to sit in to eat, as of my visit on June 4th this resturant is carry out only due to COVID mandates for the area.

Kevin P.

Yelp
The food was okay. The service was great. The ambiance needs a little work. I would go back to eat there again.

Asya Z.

Yelp
On yelp it says this establishment is open until 8 PM, however upon arriving to the restaurant the sign on the door says they're closed at 6 PM. This is very disappointing, as I wanted to give this restaurant a chance. Please change your open and close times online, but unfortunately I won't be coming back.

Terimonay T.

Yelp
Food and energy is on point, the ambiance feels like home. Will definitely be driving the distance for it!

Sonia G.

Yelp
I called ahead as this restaurant tends to be busy. The owner and his wife are very friendly and keep up conversation with you while you wait. We got jerk chicken and curry chicken. The jerk chicken portion was very large and easily made 2 meals. It was so tender it fell of the bone. However, it could have been a little spicier for me, but those used to more subtle flavors of Trinidad compared to Jamaican cusine will find it spicy enough. We got mild curry chicken and even the small portion was plentiful. The rice and peas gravy was a little sweet. They are set up for takeout only and do not appear to have brought back dine-in services. It is one of the few good Caribbean restaurants in the area, so will definitely return.

Carmen S.

Yelp
Friendly but not impressed with the food. I got the oxtails and rice and peas. Not enough seasoning.

Willie W.

Yelp
If you are looking for authentic Trinidad & Tobago food, I strongly recommend the D'Caribbean Curry Spot. They have amazing roti with boneless or bone-in chicken choice (other meats are available as well). I also tried their oxtails which were very tender & of a great size portion for the price. They were served with delicious rice and peas & plantains. Their jerk chicken wings weekend special is also a great value & very delicious. They'll give you the jerk sauce on the side if you'd like. The Trinidadian owner is super friendly & he runs the restaurant alongside his wife from Trinidad. This is a great local spot for the Pearland area!!

Mx M.

Yelp
Not bad. Different. I got the jerk chicken plate. I didn't see any beans though as advertised. Probably won't go back just because it wasn't like the bomb dot com for me as it appears to be for others. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions though. Bugs in the eating/dining area weren't very appealing. Health inspection needed.

Monifa M.

Yelp
I'm so glad I found this place! I had been longing for some good Caribbean food since relocating to TX from NYC. The owners were so friendly and welcoming. They showed a genuine interest in us. The other customers, seemingly regulars, were really nice as well. I had Mauby, a doubles, and a Veggie Roti with pepper sauce and tamarind sauce on the side. Everything was delicious and worth every penny! I just wish I lived closer. Great food and service, win win, I would definitely be a regular!

Kelayne P.

Yelp
I ordered about 6 different items and I'm realizing that different Trini's cook prepare the various dishes differently. The food was cool. Out of the 6 different items that I ordered the doubles are what I would go back for. My recommendations: The currant rolls were a bit on the dry side: A lot more butter and shredded coconut would make them much better. The Sorrell didnt taste like sorrel.. More hibiscus not diluted, mixed with fresh ginger cane sugar and water would make for a better version. The on served taste like it was mixed with some sweet artificial juice of some kind. The curry chicken and shrimp could use more curry powder. The curry chicken here, has only a faint curry taste. The Salt fish buljou tasted more like a choka it had was too much tomatoes. The sweet bread tasted mainly like flour, it needs more coconut milk in the dough. This review is just to give advice, I know this business has been running for a long time. But an improvement here and there can only make it better. I was so excited for some quality Caribbean food when I saw this place and was let down when my family began to eat. The dishes that we got are passable but could be much better.

Lauren R.

Yelp
First time here and the food and service were excellent. We tried the curry goat and oxtail plate, chicken roti and doubles. Everything was delicious! The owners are beautiful people.

Jay M.

Yelp
The food is delicious, the wait time for your order is atrocious! Pro tip - order before you.

Jasmine J.

Yelp
A faveeeee. Literally this spot hits the spot every time. I always get the jerk chicken with oxtail sauce on the rice and beans with plantain. Ugh I can literally eat this everyday. Very authentic carribbean food with authentic people. The staff/owners are so kind and prepare orders relatively quickly.

Khoa V.

Yelp
We had the oxtail, curry goat, and a chick pea wrap that was all very delicious. The couple preparing our food was very friendly.

Sam S.

Yelp
Paratha Roti was ordered by this restaurant for an event I attended and the roti was hard like bricks! Paratha should be flaky and soft. Maybe the orders were way too much and they cooked it a week in advance. Quality is very poor.

Rebecca S.

Yelp
We drive all the way from the west side of Houston for the doubles!!! Don't miss out on the sweet and spicy tamarind chutney . Hands down the best Trini food I've had in the States. Hubs always raves about the Curry Goat roti but I never have room after my doubles

Audie S.

Yelp
Ordered chicken Roti and shrimp doubles. Although not cheap, the taste and quality of the food was excellent! I'll be a returning customer.

Latonia J.

Yelp
Small curry goat, plantains, and cabbage instead of rice and peas . Reasonable pricing and food was tasty

Rusty V.

Yelp
My wife and I drive over to check this place out. They still are doing Covid set up and there is only 2 tables for sitting. I tried the chicken patty the beef patty curry potatoes curry goat my wife got the curry chicken. It's was all delicious. They actually have real patties and not the ones with a whole burger still patty inside of them. Workers or owner was very nice and gave us a free chickpea paddy believe it was Colosseum patty not sure but it was very good. A little spicy for us both. I was in love with the Curry potatoes it reminded me of somthing my dad use to cook but it had shrimp in them.
